Environmental issues and the need to reduce energy consumption for lowering operating costs have pushed power efficiency to become one of the major issues of current research in the field of wireless networks. This paper addresses a number of multiple input multiple output (MIMO) precoding and scheduling techniques across the PHY and MAC layers that can operate under a reduced link budget and collectively improve the transmit power efficiency of a base station, while maintaining the same levels of service. Different MIMO transmission and precoding schemes proposed for LTE, achieving varying degrees of multiuser diversity in both the time, frequency as well as the space domain, are examined. Several fairness-aware resource allocation algorithms are applied to the considered MIMO schemes and a detailed analysis of the tradeoffs between power efficiency and quality of service is presented. This paper explicitly examines the performance of a system serving real-time, VoIP traffic under different traffic loading conditions and transmit power levels. It is demonstrated that by use of efficient scheduling and resource allocation techniques significant savings in terms of consumed energy can be achieved, without compromising QoS.

National R & D data covers information in all fields from basic science research to industrialization, but it is expressed in technical terms, which make it difficult for the public to use. Accordingly, NTIS developed and launched the data curation service 'R&D issue service', which selects national R&D information on national and social issues and provides them to the public. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effect of a data curation service on NTIS users' access to R&D data and suggest how to develop the curation service. The R&D issue service extracts issue from the news article and provide related national R&D projects, achievements and major research institute. All raw data used for the service are open to the public, organized in a report format and provided as PDF files. In addition, automative process is developed for all NTIS users to make individual issue packaging like administrator. The results show that 'R&D issue service' launching increases users' access and convenience to R&D data related to major issues, and the number of page views of users increased after the service was opened.

This research aims to analyze the recent status and problems of scholarly information service supporting lectures and research project activities for faculties in Korean university libraries, and to explore the current issues of same fields in U.S. advanced university libraries. Notably, this research suggested considerations for a new model of scholarly information service which is based on web 2.0(/library 2.0) supporting lectures and research project activities for faculties appropriate to Korea university libraries.

This study was conducted to confirm the research trend related to law librarians abroad. To this end, we collected articles about law librarians from abroad and analyzed the author's keywords and abstracts. As a result, it was confirmed that the primary roles of law librarians are legal research service, legal information service, and education service, and discussed topics on the changed roles of law librarians according to changes in the legal research environment and strengthening their expertise. Based on the results, the issues and directions for research about law librarians in Korea were proposed.

The aim of this study was to examine the role of celebrity's traits on food service enterprises' media engagement, advertising effect (AD effect) and purchasing intention. Based on advance research, structural model of relationship between celebrity's traits and media engagement, AD effect and promotion of purchase was developed among the proposed constructs. Few empirical studies have been conducted to test the model. Date collection of study was from June 1st, 2017 to June 30th, distributing total of 300 issues and collecting total of 290 issues. Total of 271 questionnaires were used as the final analysis data as the nineteen questionnaires included missing information. The results can be summarized as follows: Celebrity's Traits significantly affected media engagement, AD effect and purchasing intentions. More specifically, mediating effect among the celebrity's traits and AD effect which came from media engagement was valid only if the subject of advertising effectiveness was on brands attitude. Based on the findings, theoretical and managerial implications were discussed to make one conclusion. As the media engagement was identified as a mediator between celebrity's traits and AD effect, certain brands which tend to enhance their AD effectivity should liaison proper celebrity.

Recently, the bio-sensing information systems for collecting and analysing human body information of a patient in real time in the field of medical information and healthcare information service are continuously increasing. Specially, various wearable devices such as a wrist, a garment, and a skin attachment type for supporting health information of a mobile user are rapidly increasing. Until now, there is no patch-type biometric information service model. Therefore, this paper presents a biometric information system model and the application examples to support biometric information sensing and health information service of mobile user with digital patch system as a new biometric information system. As a result, through this research, research issues based on digital patch system are searched to suggest the direction of continuous research.

Recently, there are many problems of service qualities such as regular-rapid-safe -comfortable transport, that was traditionally advantages in urban railway transportations. These problems cause train delays that affects consecutive schedule, capacity, operation plans, and it is hard to prevent the propagation of delay and find the recovery solution. Because the urban transport demands is continuously increased and the railway service is also expanded, the railway operation company makes efforts to improve operation performance and efficiency for passengers. In this paper, we analyse the issues and problems existing in the major operation line of high-density urban railways, and suggest the development direction of intelligent operation technology to improve the urban railway service by minimizing the occurrence and propagation of delay. And the result of numerical case study is also presented.

The process and product types of the service business are various. Though the communication and sharing for learning about experience and knowledge are very important, but up to the present, the academic and systemic research have not been activated in this field. Recently, the demand and supply in the service business are growing rapidly, the related researches by the scientific and systemic approach are required. In this study, based on the research of Ostrom's team (2010) which described the category and suggestions on the service innovation issues, in the service implementation area, some research theme candidates, research trends, and examples are introduced. In service implementation area, three theme are introduced such as Effectively branding and selling services, Enhancing the service experience through co-creation, Measuring and optimizing the value of service. Finally to the service strategy, development and implementation planning scopes, the theme of leveraging technology to advance service can be applied commonly.

The widespread use of the Internet has led to the problem of intellectual property and copyright infringement. Digital rights management (DRM) technologies have been developed to protect digital content items. Digital content can be classified into static content (for example, text or media files) and dynamic content (for example, VOD or multicast streams). This paper deals with the protection of a multicast stream on set-top boxes connected to an IP network. In this paper, we examine the following design and architectural issues to be considered when applying DRM functions to multicast streaming service environments: transparent streaming service and large-scale user environments. To address the transparency issue, we introduce a 'selective encryption scheme'. To address the second issue, a 'key packet insertion scheme' and 'hierarchical key management scheme' are introduced. Based on the above design and architecture, we developed a prototype of a multicasting DRM system. The analysis of our implementation shows that it supports transparent and scalable DRM multicasting service in a large-scale user environment.

The purpose of this study is to review research trends and issues of economic geography in Korea for the last fifty years by sub-fields of agricultural geography, industrial geography, commercial and service geography, and transportation geography. Research in Korean economic geography has progressed significantly in terms of the scope and the number of papers published during the last a half a century. Agricultural geography was a leading field of economic geography in Korea before mid-1970s. Since the mid-1970s, however, agricultural geography has turned over the leading role in economic geography to industrial geography. Classification and structure of agricultural region has been the most popular research theme in Korea, even though diverse topics has been dealt in the research of agricultulal geography in Korea during the last fifty years. In recent years, emphasis is given to study on the dynamics of agricultural region and regional differentiation of part-time farming. It is suggested that the future issues of research in agricultural geography in Korea are agricultural restructuring and changes in agricultural space under the WTO system, changes in rural area and agricultural region with the progress of informatization, changes in agricultural structures and rural society by the increase of part-time farming, governments agricultulal policy and its impacts, competitive advantages of Korean agricultulal products, and environmental impacts of agricultural restructuring. Research in industrial geography has remarkably progressed since the 1980s. Locational changes, regional industrial structure and formation of industrial region were the major topics of interest in the research of industrial geography in Korea before 1980. Since the early 1980s, in addition to the topics which were interested in before 1980, changes of industrial organization and industrial location, changes of production systems and industrial space development of high technology industries and science parks, industrial restructuring and regional economy, foreign direct investments, industrial linkages and industrial districts, and industrial policy and regional development have been the major research themes of industrial geography in Korea. Considerable number of papers has been published both in Korean journals and in foreign journals during this period. Considering global changes in the organization of industrial space, future research should be more focused on firms strategy for regaining competitive advantages, local and global perspectives of industry, industry and environmental changes, in addition to the topics which have been dealt in recent years. Research in commercial and service geography and transportation geography was negligible in Korea before the late 1970s. These two sub-fields in economic geography have begun to develop since 1980s. Periodic markets, structure of commercial area, and distribution of products were the major topics of interest in the 1980s in the commercial and service geography in Korea. In the 1990s, however reserch in producer services has been active with growth of producer services in Korean economy. It is suggested that regional changes with progress of informatization and technology, changes of international trade and regional changes, development of efficient distribution system, role of producer services in regional development, and network of producer services are the major issues to be studied in the future in the field of commercial and service geography in Korea. Commuting, distribution of products, and transportation networks have been the major topics of research in transportation geography in Korea. Diverse quantitative techniques have been applied in the most of the researches in transportation geography. It is required that future studies in transportation geography should also focus on societal and behavioral issues, policy issues regional impacts of new transportation facilities, an analysis of transportation system at the global or international level. Since the 1980s economic geography in Korea has considerably progressed with publication of papers and books. The progress can be regarded as successful in quantitative aspect, but not in quantitative aspects. For the development of Korean economic geography in both quantitative and qualitative aspects, it is necessary to promote international collaborative researches and interdisciplinary cooperations. Attention should also be given to the research on changes in competitive advantages and economic restructuring, changes of economic space with the development of high technology and the progress of informatization. economic development and culture. and foreign regional studies.
