Optimized implementation of HIGHT algorithm for sensor network (센서네트워크에 적용가능한 HIGHT 알고리즘의 최적화 구현 기법)

  • As emergence of the ubiquitous society, it is possible to access the network for services needed to us in anytime and anywhere. The phenomena has been accelerated by revitalization of the sensor network offering the sensing information and data. Currently, sensor network contributes the convenience for various services such as environment monitoring, health care and home automation. However, sensor network has a weak point compared to traditional network, which is easily exposed to attacker. For this reason, messages communicated over the sensor network, are encrypted with symmetric key and transmitted. A number of symmetric cryptography algorithms have been researched. Among of them HIGHT algorithm in hardware and software implementation are more efficient than tradition AES in terms of speed and chip size. Therefore, it is suitable to resource constrained devices including RFID tag, Sensor node and Smart card. In the paper, we present the optimized software implementation on the ultra-light symmetric cryptography algorithm, HIGHT.

  • In this paper, we study the design and implementation of an auto recognition system by using wireless sensor node. RFID system has a limited communication range and communication network is damaged, it is impossible to communicate. Therefore, easy installation and low cost wireless system are required in an area where the installation of communication between RFID system and monitoring system is difficult, or a portable RFID system is installed. The auto recognition system in this study is implemented by the combination of 13.56MHz RFID system using MLX12115 RFID chip of Melexis company and wireless sensor node system using CC2420 Zigbee chip of Chipcon company. As a result, we develop an auto recognition system which makes it possible to get tag's information wirelessly. Also, it has a simple circuit structure and is small in size.

  • These fermented food has been increased interest to people's health in recent years. Factors which have taste, storability and trophism of fermented food is affected food of material, temperature, humidity and pH. But fermented food has yet not been established of model equation for the change in pH. If they that seller and consumer can know the status and quality, customer could increase credibility and consumption-oriented about fermented foods. In this paper, we obtain model equation through measured PH of fermented foods. So, model equation is offered platform about maturity of fermented foods. In order to confirm the usefulness of the proposed model equation, we tested the change in PH about a kimchi and a rice wine which is fermented food of Korea representative.

  • Accurate indoor localization of construction workers and mobile assets is essential in safety management. Existing positioning methods based on GPS, wireless, vision, or sensor based RTLS are erroneous or expensive in large-scale indoor environments. Tightly coupled sensor fusion mitigates these limitations. This research paper proposes a state-of-the-art positioning methodology, addressing the existing limitations, by integrating Stereo Visual Inertial Odometry (SVIO) with fiducial landmarks called AprilTags. SVIO determines the relative position of the moving assets or workers from the initial starting point. This relative position is transformed to an absolute position when AprilTag placed at various entry points is decoded. The proposed solution is tested on the NVIDIA ISAAC SIM virtual environment, where the trajectory of the indoor moving forklift is estimated. The results show accurate localization of the moving asset within any indoor or underground environment. The system can be utilized in various use cases to increase productivity and improve safety at construction sites, contributing towards 1) indoor monitoring of man machinery coactivity for collision avoidance and 2) precise real-time knowledge of who is doing what and where.

  • Since mechanical security systems are mostly composed of electronic, information and communication devices, they have effects in the aspects of overall social environment and crime-oriented environment. Also, the importance is increasing for wireless recognition of RFID and tracing function, which will be usefully utilized in controlling the incomings and outgoings of people/vehicles or allowance, surveillance and control. This is resulting from the increase in the care for the elderly according to the overall social environment, namely, the aging society, and the number of women entering, as well as the increase in the number of heinous crimes. The purpose of this study is to examine the theoretical considerations on ubiquitous sensor network and present a direction for securities companies for their development by focusing on the technological and application areas. To present strategies of response to a new environment for security companies, First, a diversification strategy is needed for security companies. The survival of only high level of security companies in accordance with the principle of liberal market competition will bring forth qualitative growth and competitiveness of security market. Second, active promotion by security companies is needed. It is no exaggeration to say that we are living in the modern society in the sea of advertisements and propaganda. The promotional activities that emphasize the areas of activity or importance of security need to be actively carried out using the mass media to change the aware of people regarding security companies, and they need to come up with a plan to simultaneously carry out the promotional activities that emphasize the public aspect of security by well utilizing the recent trend that the activities of security agents are being used as a topic in movies or TV dramas. Third, technically complementary establishment of ubiquitous sensor network and electronic tag is needed. Since they are used in mobile electronic tag services such as U-Home and U-Health Care, they are used throughout our lives by forming electronic tag environment within safe ubiquitous sensor network based on the existing privacy guideline for the support of mobile electronic tag terminal commercialization, reduction in communication and information usage costs, continuous technical development and strengthening of privacy protection, and the system of cooperation of academic-industrial-research needs to be established among the academic world and private research institutes for these parts.

  • In sensor network, the elimination of NLOS information is a necessity to improve the accuracy of the localization. For this reason, we proposed an algorithm iteratively eliminating the NLOS information to enhance the accuracy of the localization of a tag location, and simulated the proposed algorithm to confirm the performance. The proposed algorithm can estimate the location of the error distance within 3.5m when it has 10 LOS coordinates with LOS information. In addition, it can enhance the accuracy according to decreasing NLOS coordinates.

  • This paper describes an effort of improving performances of ultrasonic ranging system using V40 microprocessor. Conventional ranging systems are somewhat inaccurate because they do not have capability of compensating changes in medium condition. The novel ranging system overcomes this disadvantage by placing a dummy sensor functioning as a standard calibrating instrument in the same medium and by providing data processing capability using V40 controller. Also data communication between V40 and personal computer via RS232C makes it possible to use the ranging system for varieties of other applications such as analysis of static and dynamic system.

  • In surface mount technology, with cellular phones and flat panel displays shrinking in size, the electric goods for making these things are getting smaller as well. Therefore, the technology of mounting components such as 0402 and 0603 Chip is on the rise. The chip mount manufacturing companies have studied the mount technology to prevent the missing insertions or improper insertion. This study suggests arranging the mechanical structure by using fiber sensors to eliminate missing insertions or improper insertions and developing the technology for upgrading system algorithms.

  • 본 논문은 표면탄성파(Surface Acoustic Wave)의 특성을 이용하여 반사되어 돌아오는 피크 신호를 통해 개체를 식별하며 온도 변화에 따른 위상의 변화를 갖는 ID 태그 및 온도 센서의 제작공정과 네트워크 분석기를 이용한 측정에 대해 소개한다. 표면탄성파 마이크로센서는 IDT(interdigital trancducer)와 ID 번호를 갖는 리플렉터, 온도 변화에 따른 위상 변위를 관찰하기 위한 리플렉터로 구성된다. 제작된 두 개의 소자는 49(0110001), 113(1110001)의 ID 번호를 가지고 있으며, 1 us에서 기준신호를 관찰할 수 있도록 한 개의 리플렉터를 추가적으로 포함한다. 또한 온도 변화에 따른 전파 속도의 변화로 인해 발생 하는 위상 변화를 관찰하기 위한 리플렉터를 포함한다. $41^{\circ}$YX $LiNbO_3$ 압전기판, AZ1512 감광제, 알루미늄을 이용하여 제작 되었고 네트워크 분석기를 통해 출력된 신호로 ID 번호를 식별하고 $30^{\circ}C$에서 $120^{\circ}C$까지의 온도 변화에 따른 위상 변화를 측정하였다.

  • The RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) is an automatic identification method, relying on storing and remotely retrieving data using devices called RFID tags or transponders. Some RFID tags have been used in severe environment of temperature ranged from $200^{\circ}C$ to $250^{\circ}C$ for a long time and may cause serious problems such as signal error, short life cycle and explosion. Conventionally, the RFID tags for high temperature applications consisted of Fe-alloy housing part, ceramic powder and RFID sensor. However, it has disadvantage of heavy weight, signal noise and heat shield capability. In this study, we newly applied the aluminum porous materials fabricated by polymer leaching process into RFID tags in order to improve heat shielding ability, and compared the properties of RFID tag inserted by aluminum porous with the conventional one.
