  • This paper presents new sensitivity analysis algorithm for the dynamic response of three dimensional rectilinear type structure. This method is derived from a combination of the transfer stiffness coefficient method(TSCM) and the Newmark method. We developed dynamic response analysis algorithm by TSCM. This method has more safe computational precision and time than transfer matrix method(TMM). We defined new design variable and object function, and computated simple three dimensional computation model by TSCM. The presented analysis algorithm was validated by results of changing design variable.

移動汚染源에 대한 大氣擴散模型의 感應度 分析에 관한 硏究 (HIWAY2, PAL, CALINE3 模型을 對象으로) (A Study on the Sensitivity Analysis of Line Source Air Quality Models)

  • The sensitivity analysis is a method to quantify to what extent the output of a model changes with the values of input parameters. This will lead to increase model accuracy through measurement validation. Three line source air quality models, HIWAY 2, PAL, and CALINE 3 were selected for this study. The input parameters analysed included wind speed, wind direction, stability, emission rate, mixing height, receptor distance, initial dispersion coefficient, surface roughness, and averaging time. It turned out that PAL model generally showed higher concentration than other two models, and that between CALINE 3 and HIWAY 2, CALINE 3 showed higher concentration than HIWAY 2 model near the line sources, but beyond a certain downwind distances HIWAY 2 model showed higher concentration. The modesl were very sensitive to wind speed especially in the range of 0 $\sim$ 1 m/s and to wind direction near the parallel wind to streets. In case of emission rate, the output concentration was directly proportional to these input parameters. And the sensitivity of the input parameters such as stability, mixing height, initial dispersion coefficient, surface roughness, and averaging time were not very significant.

링압축실험에 의한 유동응력 및 마찰인자의 결정 (II) (Determination of Flow Stress and Friction Factor by the Ring Compression Test (II))

  • The purpose of this paper is to pursue a general method to determine both the flow stress of a material and the friction factor by ring compression test. The materials are assumed to obey the expanded n-power hardening rule including the strain-rate effect. Ring compression is simulated by the rigid-plastic finite element method to obtain the database used in determining the flow stress and friction factor. The Simulation is conducted for various strain hardening exponent, strain-rate sensitivity, friction factor, and compressing speed, as variables. It is assumed that the friction factor is constant during the compression process. To evaluate the compatibility of the database, experiments are carried out at room and evaluated temperature using specimens of aluminum 6061-T6 under dry and grease lubrication condition. It is shown that the proposed test method is useful and easy to use in determining the flow stress and the friction factor.

사면 안정해석에 적용되는 입력 인자들의 민감도 분석 (Sensitivity Analysis of Input Parameters in Slope Stability Analysis)

  • 사면 안정해석은 현장 조사로부터 얻어지는 지반강도 정수의 역할이 매우 중요한 인자로 작용한다. 본 연구에서는 사면안정성 분석에서 입력변수들에 대한 상대적인 평가를 위하여 민감도 분석을 수행하였다. 설정된 입력 변수들은 사면의 경사, 점착력, 내부마찰각의 3가지 종류로 선별하였다. 사면안정해석은 기본적으로 한계평형으로 해석하였으며 수집된 현장자료를 이용하여 분석한 결과 확률변수들은 정규분포를 나타내는 것으로 나타났다. 몬테카를로 시뮬레이션을 이용하여 입력변수들을 발생시켰으며 붕괴된 암반사면을 이용하여 민감도 분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과 암반사면의 안전율은 예상보다 낮게 나타나는 것을 알 수 있었다. 민감도 분석 지수(PCC)를 이용하여 분석한 결과 사면 안전율에는, 점착력과 사면 경사가 매우 민감한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며 내부마찰각은 상대적으로 낮은 민감성을 띠는 것으로 분석되었다.

  • The determination of feasible design flood is the most important to control flood damage in river management. Model parameters should be calibrated using observed discharge but due to deficiency of observed data the parameters have been adopted by engineer's empirical sense. Storage coefficient in the Clark unit hydrograph method mainly affects magnitude of peak flood. This study is to estimate the storage coefficients based on the observed rainfall-runoff events at the four stage stations in the Hantan river basin. Model calibration is the process of adjusting model parameter values until model results match historical data. An objective function which is the percent difference between the observed and computed peak flows is available for measuring the goodness-of-fit between computed and observed hydrographs. By sensitivity analysis for the storage coefficient, it has been shown that the storage coefficients affect the peak flows. The Clark parameters adopted in the River Rectification Basic Plan have been estimated through an iterative process designed to produce a hydrograph with the peak flow.

  • System algorithms estimated by deterministic input may occur the error between predicted and actual output. Especially, actual system can't predict the exact outputs due to uncertainty and tolerance of input parameters. A single output to a set of inputs has a limited value without the variation. Hence, we should consider various scatters caused by the load assessment, material characteristics, stress analysis and manufacturing methods in order to perform the robust design or estimate the reliability of structure. The system design with uncertainty should perform the probabilistic structural optimization with the statistical response and the reliability. This method calculated the probability distributions of the characteristics such as stress by combining stress analysis, response surface methodology and Monte-Carlo Method and got the probabilistic sensitivity. The sensitivity of structural response with respect to inconstant design variables was estimated by fracture probability. Therefore, this paper proposed the probabilistic reliability design method for fracture of uncorved freight end beam and the design criteria by fracture probability.

엔진 고공 시험에서 연료 유량 측정용 터빈 유량계의 측정 불확도 분석 (Measurement Uncertainty Analysis of a Turbine Flowmeter for Fuel Flow Measurement in Altitude Engine Test)

  • Measurement uncertainty analysis of fuel flow using turbine flowmeter was performed for the case of altitude engine test. SAE ARP4990 was used as the fuel flow calculation procedure, as well as the mathematical model for the measurement uncertainty assessment. The assessment was performed using Sensitivity Coefficient Method. 11 parameters involved in the calculation of the flow rate were considered. For the given equipment setup, the measurement uncertainty of fuel flow was assessed in the range of 1.19~1.86 % for high flow rate case, and 1.47~3.31 % for low flow rate case. Fluctuation in frequency signal from the flowmeter had the largest influence on the fuel flow measurement uncertainty for most cases. Fuel temperature measurement had the largest for the case of low temperature and low flow rate. Calibration of K-factor and the interpolation of the calibration data also had large influence, especially for the case of very low temperature. Reference temperature, at which the reference viscosity of the sample fuel was measured, had relatively small contribution, but it became larger when the operating fuel temperature was far from reference temperature. Measurement of reference density had small contribution on the flow rate uncertainty. Fuel pressure and atmospheric pressure measurement had virtually no contribution on the flow rate uncertainty.

유전율 측정을 위한 고감도 마이크로스트립 결함 접지 구조 기반 센서 설계 (Design of Microstrip Defected Ground Structure-based Sensor with Enhanced-Sensitivity for Permittivity Measurement)

  • 본 논문에서는 평면 유전체 기판의 유전율 측정을 위해 마이크로스트립 결함 접지구조를 기반으로 한 고감도 마이크로파 센서의 설계 방법에 대하여 연구하였다. 제안된 센서는 H-모양 개구의 리지 구조를 커패시터 기호 모양으로 변형하여 설계하였다. 제안된 센서의 감도를 기존의 이중 링 상보형 분할 링 공진기를 기반으로 한 센서의 감도와 비교하였다. 두 센서는 피 시험 기판이 없는 상태에서 전송 계수가 1.5 GHz에서 공진하도록 0.76 mm 두께의 RF-35 기판 상에 설계하고 제작하였다. 피 시험 기판으로 비유 전율이 2.17에서 10.2 범위에 있는 타코닉 기판 5종을 선택하였다. 실험 결과, 전송계수 공진주파수의 이동으로 측정된 제안된 센서의 감도는 기존 이중 링 상보형 분할 링 공진기를 기반으로 한 센서와 비교할 때 1.31배에서 1.62배 증가하는 것을 확인하였다.

  • The B-coefficient method is well-known and universally used method for its simplicity and computation speed. However, the B-coefficient method has a weak point of accuracy when it is applied to the ill-conditioned systems where generators produce excessive reactive power. This paper describes the developed module to be applied to commercial program package of calculating the penalty factors by Jacobian method. The effectiveness of the proposed program has been demonstrated using the IEEE 30 bus system.

  • This paper presents a new systematic contingency selection, screening and ranking method for on-line transient security assessment. Transient stability of a particular generator is influenced most by fault near it. Fault at the transmission lines adjacent to the generators are selected as contingency. Two screening methods are developed using the sensitivity of modal synchronizing torque coefficient and computing an approximate critical clearing time(CCT) without time simulation. The first method, which considers only synchronizing power, may mislead in some cases since it does not consider the acceleration power. The approximate CCT method, which consider both the acceleration and deceleration power, worked well. Finally the Single Machine Equivalent(SIME) method is implemented using IPLAN of PSS/E for detailed stability analysis.
