  • This study compares and analyzes the legal systems of Korea, the European Union, China, and the United States based on the disclosure principles and processing policies for personal data processing and provides references for seeking improvements in our legal system. Furthermore, this research aims to suggest institutional implications to overcome data transfer limitations in the upcoming digital economy. Findings on a comparative analysis of the relevant legal systems for disclosing privacy policies in four countries showed that Korea's privacy policy is under the eight principles of privacy proposed by the OECD. However, there are limitations in the current situation where personal information is increasingly transferred overseas due to direct international trade e-commerce. On the other hand, the European Union enacted the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in 2016 and emphasized the transfer of personal information under the Privacy Policy. China also showed differences in the inclusion of required items in its privacy policy based on its values and principles regarding transferring personal information and handling sensitive information. The U.S. CPRA amended §1798.135 of the CCPA to add a section on the processing of sensitive information, requiring companies to disclose how they limit the use of sensitive information and limit the use of such data, thereby strengthening the protection of data providers' rights to sensitive information. Thus, we should review our privacy policies to specify detailed standards for the privacy policy items required by data providers in the era of digital economy and digital commerce. In addition, privacy-related organizations and stakeholders should analyze the legal systems and items related to the principles of personal data disclosure and privacy policies in major countries so that personal data providers can be more conveniently and accurately informed about processing their personal information.

  • In the Vehicular Ad-hoc Network (VANET), the data transmission of time-sensitive applications requires low latency, such as accident warnings, driving guidance, etc. However, frequent changes of topology in VANET will result in data transmission failures. In order to improve the efficiency of VANETs data transmission and increase the timeliness of data, this paper proposes a relay scheme based on Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) trajectory prediction, which can be used to select the optimal relay vehicle to transmit data. The proposed scheme learns vehicle trajectory in a distributed manner and calculates the predicted trajectory, and then the optimal vehicle can be selected to complete the data transmission, which ensures the timeliness of the data. Finally, we carry out a set of simulations to demonstrate the performance of the algorithm. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme enhances the timeliness of the data and the accuracy of the predicted driving trajectory.

  • Recently, data sharing between enterprises or organizations is required matter for task cooperation. In this process, when the enterprise opens its database to the affiliates, it can be occurred to problem leaked sensitive information. To resolve this problem it is needed to hide sensitive information from the database. Previous research hiding sensitive information applied different heuristic algorithms to maintain quality of the database. But there have been few studies analyzing the effects on the items modified during the hiding process and trying to minimize the hided items. This paper suggests eFP-Tree(Extended Frequent Pattern Tree) based FP-Tree(Frequent Pattern Tree) to hide sensitive frequent itemsets. Node formation of eFP-Tree uses border to minimize impacts of non sensitive frequent itemsets in hiding process, by organizing all transaction, sensitive and border information differently to before. As a result to apply eFP-Tree to the example transaction database, the lost items were less than 10%, proving it is more effective than the existing algorithm and maintain the quality of database to the optimal.

  • The hand of the sensitive mixture fabrics was analysed and discussed with measured mechanical properties of two kinds of woven fabrics according to the characteristics of air-jet loom. The 16 mechanical properties such as tensile, bending, shear, compression and surface were measured using KES-FB system and their differences of the mechanical properties between domestic and foreign looms were analysed with the deviation according to the position of the specimen. And also these mechanical properties according to the domestic and Japan air-jet looms were analysed and discussed with warp and weft insertion tensions during weaving. This research is aiming to make a data base of fabric mechanical properties and, these analysed data are given to weaver as a basic research data related to the effects of loom characteristics to the sensitive mixture fabrics required from weaving fields.

  • The performance of the statistical context-sensitive spelling error correction depends on the quality and quantity of the data for statistical language model. In general, the size and quality of data in a statistical language model are proportional. However, as the amount of data increases, the processing speed becomes slower and storage space also takes up a lot. We suggest the improved statistical language model to solve this problem. And we propose an effective spelling error candidate generation method based on a new statistical language model. The proposed statistical model and the correction method based on it improve the performance of the spelling error correction and processing speed.

  • Spectroscopic ellipsometry (SE) has become an important tool in scatterometry based nano-structure 3D profiling. In this paper, we propose a novel 3D nano object recognition method by use of phase sensitive scatterometry. We claims that only phase sensitive scatterometry can provide a reasonable 3D nano-object recognition capability since phase data gives much higher sensitive 3D information than amplitude data. To show the validity of this approach, first we generate various $0^{th}$ order SE spectrum data ($\psi$ and ${\Delta}$) which can be calculated through rigorous coupled-wave analysis (RCWA) algorithm and then we calculate correlation values between a reference spectrum and an object spectrum which is varied for several different object 3D shape.

  • Jute is the principal coarse fiber for commercial production and use in Bangladesh. Therefore, the development of a high-yielding and environmental-stress tolerant jute variety would be beneficial for the agro economy of Bangladesh. Two molecular fingerprinting techniques, random-amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) and amplified-fragment length polymorphism (AFLP) were applied on six jute samples. Two of them were cold-sensitive varieties and the remaining four were cold-tolerant accessions. RAPD and AFLP fingerprints were employed to generate polymorphism between the cold-sensitive varieties and cold-tolerant accessions because of their simplicity, and also because there is no available sequence information on jute. RAPD data were obtained by using 30 arbitrary oligonucleotide primers. Five primers were found to give polymorphism between the varieties that were tested. AFLP fingerprints were generated using 25 combinations of selective-amplification primers. Eight primer combinations gave the best results with 93 polymorphic fragments, and they were able to discriminate the two cold-sensitive and four cold-tolerant jute populations. A cluster analysis, based on the RAPD and AFLP fingerprint data, showed the population-specific grouping of individuals. This information could be useful later in marker-aided selection between the cold-sensitive varieties and cold-tolerant jute accessions.

  • This study examines performances and varieties of export of IP sensitive products across emerging countries, namely, India and China by utilizing 6-digit disaggregated product-level export data. Further, this study constructs trade margins - extensive and intensive margins to understand trade potential and different trade patterns, specifically, exporters' productivity, product diversification, and volume of trade during 2007-2016. This study finds India's performance is comparable with China at the extensive margin though the gap between India and China is very wide in terms of the total value of exports and the intensive margin. China majorly exports more expensive electronics and manufacturing-related products as opposed to relatively cheaper medicinal and synthetic products, the total value of exports from China to the rest of the world is much higher than that of India. This study suggests that India is exporting IP-sensitive products to lower-income countries sufficiently, but the IP-sensitive exports to higher-income countries are still lagging.

  • This paper presents a pricing model for maximizing a service provider's profit, taking into account consumers' quality-of-service dependent willingness to pay, in integrated voice/data mobile services. For the voice and the data services, time-sensitive pricing and volume-sensitive pricing mechanism will be applied, respectively, as in the case of Korea's mobile service market. Assuming that consumers are very sensitive to call interruption during handoff moments, the model presented here considers reserving guard channels exclusively for handoff traffic, in the process of frequency channels allocation, as well as guaranteeing consumers quality of service regarding call interruption rate. Ultimately, this model proposes a means to guarantee the quality of service in the short term, through pricing strategies as well as channel allocation policies, and the simulation results show that without expanding system resources, there exists a trade-off between profit and quality-of-service guarantee.
