동사의 의미분석처리를 위한 SENKOV 시스템의 설계와 구현 (Design and Implementation of SENKOV System for he Semantic Processing of Korean Verbs)

  • Human-compute interface (HCl) should be designed with ease and flexibility for users for providing convenience and friendliness to users. The natural language processing is one of the aspects of HCl. This paper presents the method of design and implementation of SENKOV( Semantic Networks for Korean Verbs) System, which deals with isa hierarchies of Korean verbs for the natural language processing. The system's architecture is based on the differential theory and Levin verb classes. This paper selects about 600 Korean verbs which are commonly used in the daily life, and implements the SENKOV System. The experiments show that SENKOV has 44 top nodes and depth of about 2.35. In addition this paper applied the SENKOV System to co-occurrence constraint relationship among a adverbs and verbs, and proves the validity of the system. This paper is important in that it has made the first trial to classify Korean verb concept for HCl.

웨딩드레스에 대한 시각적 감성 연구 (A Study on Visual Sensibility of Wedding Dress)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the visual sensibility of wedding dress. There are 28 kinds of costume samples from photographs in wedding dress magazines. They were divided into simple, accent and decorative design. The Semantic Differential method was used in this study to measure them. The semantic scale was composed of 20 pairs of adjective words. The data were analyzed by factor analysis, ANOVA, MDS and regression analysis. The results are as follow; 1. Factor analysis has extracted five factors which consist of the visual sensibility of wedding dress. The factors are High quality, Cuteness, Femininity, Decoration and Modernness. 2. There were significant differences in the visual sensibility of wedding dress and demographics.3. The evaluative dimensions of the visual sensibility of wedding dress were identified by Cute-Adult and Simple-Decorative. 4. Preference was related to what are wearing-desirable, chic, cute, natural and beautiful, etc., and the wearing desire was related to what are favorite, lively, chic, special and gracious, etc. The noble sensibility was related to what are elegant, cute, feminine and chic, etc.

  • We carried out the human visual evaluation on PDPs and LCDs to clarify the viewer preference and the related physical and physiological factors. In the subjective evaluation, the impression test using the semantic differential method was carried out. In the objective evaluation, the eye motion tracking system was used. Our study showed that considering the real usage, the optimum display for viewers was that which showed more soft and smooth image without blurring.

  • Non-verbal information plays an important role not only in human-to-human communications but also in human computer interaction. In this paper, we examine effects of human-like agent's primitive movements on user's impression, where the human-like agent's primitive movements include eye, mouth, and head. SD (Semantic Differential) method was used for evaluation, and two factors were extracted as a result of the factor analysis. It is found that the first factor influenced the user's impression particularly.

건강증진 환경 조성을 위한 도시근교 임도의 활용 가능성 (Potentiality of urban forest roads as an environment for enhancing physical fitness)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the potentiality of urban forest roads as an environment for enhancing physical fitness. Six male university students participated in the study as subjects. The subjects walked on an urban forest road for 30 minutes. As a control experiment, they also walked on a national park trail for 30 minutes. Subjects' heart rates were monitored during the walks to calculate the ratio of the average time their heart rates were within the target range (from 60% to 80% of the maximal heart rate) for Enhancing Physical Fitness. After the walks, images of the spaces were analyzed using the semantic differential (SD) method. During the walk on the urban forest road, subjects' heart rates were within the target range 63.3% of the time, and lower than the target range 36.7% of the time. During the control experiment on the national park trail, subjects' heart rates were within the target range only 23.3% of the time, and higher than the target range 76.7% of the time. From the spatial perception evaluation using the SD method, subjects' comfortable and natural feelings when they were on the national park trail were significantly greater than when they were on the urban forest trail, but there were no differences in terms of other SD descriptors, such as friendliness and likeability. The results of our study indicate that the urban forest road provides a good environment for walking to enhance physical fitness. Although not as close to nature as national park trails, urban forest roads offer similar natural environments and have a high potentiality for serving as leisure spaces for urban residents who seek physical activities.

도로경관 설계를 위한 감성요인 추출 방법에 관한 연구 (Abstraction Method of Sensibility Factors for Streetscape Design)

  • 경제성장과 함께 삶의 질이 향상됨에 따라 도로 계획 및 설계분야에서도 기능 중심의 설계에서 이용자들의 시각 및 심리적 특성인 감성을 고려한 경관 중심의 설계로 변화하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 다양하게 조사된 감성형용사들을 개인의 감성인지 특성 차이를 최소화 하면서 객관적이고 합리적인 추출 방법을 제안하고자 한다. 먼저 어의구별법(Semantic Differential)의 5점 척도에 의해 조사된 감성형용사를 바탕으로 기존 연구에서 사용한 요인분석과 본 연구에서 제안하는 판별분석을 통해 감성형용사를 추출하고 상관 분석을 통해 대표적인 감성형용사를 추출한 후 수량화 I 모형을 구축하였다. 그리고 구축된 수량화 모형을 이용하여 만족도를 예측한 후 실제 관측 만족도와의 쌍체비교 검증을 통하여 판별 및 상관분석에 의한 방법이 실제 관측 만족도와 가장 유사한 것으로 분석되어 연속적인 도로경관 설계시 판별 상관분석에 의해 적용가능한 감성요인을 파악하는 것이 적합한 방법임을 확인할 수 있었다.

소비자 선호 감성이미지 기반 남성용면도기 디자인 전략 (Design Strategies of a Shaver for Men based on Consumers' Sensitive Images of Preference)

  • 본 연구는 제품디자인에 관련한 소비자의 선호와 감성이미지를 파악하여 선호감성이미지를 확인하고 이를 충족시키는 제품디자인요소를 추론하여 소비자가 원하는 디자인을 제공할 수 있는 가장 근본적인 가정인 제품디자인선호-감성이미지-디자인요소의 인과구조를 통해 소비자 감성 지향적 디자인방향에 대한 지침을 제공하고자 한다. 이를 위해 남성용면도기를 연구대상물로 선정하였고, 감성이미지단어들을 추출하기 위한 파일로트 테스트(pilot test)와, 감성이미지단어항목과 선호도를 측정하기 위해 의미차이법을 이용하여 설문을 구성하여 조사, 분석하였다. 결과에 따르면 남성용면도기 디자인전략으로는 소비자들은 남성용면도기제품을 "고급스럽고, 예쁘며, 안정적인" 감성이미지가 높을수록 선호하는데 이 이미지를 충족시키기 위해서는 "바디가 호형도 다각형도 아니고 재질이 스틸이고, 버튼이 푸시형이며, 재질이 스틸, 컬러는 갈색이 아닌 컬러"인 디자인요소가 디자인요소들간에 trade-off관계를 고려하여 조합되어져야한다. 본 연구는 이론적으로는 선호도-감성이미지-디자인요소의 인과 구조에 대한 연구에 기초를 제공하고 실무적으로는 소비자 감성 지향적 디자인을 전망할 수 있는 디자인 프로세스를 제공한다.

여자수의 디자인에 대한 감성선호도 분석 (The Analysis of Sensibillity Preference of Women's Shroud Design)

  • Apart from keeping the body pleasant and protecting it from the environment, the purpose of clothing is to express one's sensibility, sense of belonging, status, and aesthetic sense. In the past, hanbok was also used to express status and class with the colors and the types and according to the times, the forms of hanbok has changed. Nowadays, people choose and wear hanbok that suits their tastes or purposes and various types of hanbok that considered pros and cons of it are now disseminated. Given this reality, traditional shrouds that are worn by the dead should also be designed newly to fit the modern trend. This research aims to analyze how people's sensibility preferences change on the traditional shrouds and the modern shrouds that are designed to fit the current trend. To see the change, this research analyzes sensibility preferences by using Semantic Differential Method on 4 modern shrouds that are used in preceding research and 1 traditional shroud. The survey was answered by total of 130 ordinary people in groups of 26 people in 5 groups who reside in Seoul and Kyungkhi province. As the result of the analysis, firstly, people preferred "high quality", "elegant", and "Korean" sensibility words for modern shrouds 1, 2, 3, and 4. Secondly, on traditional shroud, "uncomfortable", "neutral-elegant", "neutral-Korean", and "neutral-quality" that is closer to low quality sensibility words are preferred. Thirdly, "modest" and "extravagant" did not show any statistically significant difference. I hope this research can provide basic data that can be used to understand and comprehend on people's sensibility preference about shroud designs.

감성공학을 이용한 국산 승용차 이미지 분석 (Image Analysis of Korean Automobiles Using Sensory Engineering)

  • 본 연구는 감성공학을 이용하여 승용차의 이미지분석을 하는데 관련된다. 본 연구에서는 감성공학적 접근법으로 제품의 이미지를 표현하는 적합한 형용사 조합을 도출한 다음 의미변별법을 이용하여 감성평가를 실시하고 그 결과를 요인분석법으로 처리하여 형용사 조합을 소수의 요인으로 축약한다. 다음으로 소수의 요인을 축으로 하여 이미지 공간을 구축하고 공간 내에서 개별 제품의 이미지 위치를 파악하는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 국산 승용차 12개 모형에 대해서 감성공학적 접근법으로 이미지 평가실험을 하였는데, 감성평가에는 127명의 패널이 참가하였으며 14개 형용사 조합에 대해서 요인분석으로 이미지 공간을 구성하는 2개의 축, 즉, 요인을 도출하고 이미지공간에서의 개별 제품의 위치를 파악하였다. 그 결과 대체로 자동차 3사가 목표하는 이미지를 달성하고 있음이 나타났다.
