기계적 환기기 사용중 그래픽 모니터링의 활용 (The Use of Graphic Monitoring during Mechanical Ventilation)

  • Graphic monitoring assists the clinician at the bedside in several ways. It can be helpful in fine-tuning or adjusting ventilator parameters. Graphic monitoring may help to determine the patient's response to pharmacologic agents. The clinician also has the ability to trend monitored events over a prolonged period of time. The neonatal patient's self respiration, synchrony to ventilator and respiratory efforts can be well recognized with graphic monitoring. Of all, it may enable detection of complications before they become clinically apparent. This article introduces the basics of real-time graphics.

  • A protocol on transferring informations between IBM-PC/AT and STC(self tuning controller) by using the RS-485 bus is suggested. The operating algorithm is designed so that the host computer monitors the status of STC, and can be updating parameters depending on the environmental conditions for the various oprating mode.

  • Pole assignment controller with variable forgetting factor is generalizaed to allow the output and/or input variance to be reduced. The algorithm can give significant reductions in variance for little extra computational effort and is presented for servo-tracking using leat-squares estimation. Moreover, the use of a variable forgetting factor with correct choice of information bound can avoid 'blowing-up' of the covariance matrix of the estimates and subsequent unstable control.

  • For a generalized minimum variance controller algorithm the weighting polynomials are are calculated in a way to assign the closed loop poles of the system and to specify the controller gain at a frequency. As a result the oscillations in the control signal may be reduced without changing the deterministic behaviour of the system.

  • A state-space model of a burn through point control system of an industrial sintering process is derived. The model is then used in designing a self-tuning controller which consists of the receding horizon control law and a least-squares prediction algorithm. By applying this adaptive controller to POSCO sintering process IV, satisfactory expermental results have been obtained. Some of these practical results are presented in this paper.

  • Generally, we made use of PID control for torque control, speed control and stability, Hence, dynamic characteristic of DC motor has been studied for stable drive and accurate speed control by many engineers. But, in this paper, we applied genetic algorithm to current control for robust control and stability In conclusion, we prove that current control of genetic algorithm can be high efficiency.

  • The merit of fuzzy rule based systems stems from their capability of encoding qualitative knowledge of experts into quantitative rules. Recent advancement in automatic tuning or self-organization of fuzzy rules from experimental data further enhances their power, allowing the integration of the top-down encoding of knowledge with the bottom-up learning of rules. In this paper, methods of self-organizing fuzzy rules and of performing defuzzification and inference is presented based on a multi-resolution radial basis function network. The network learns an arbitrary input-output mapping from sample distribution as the union of hyper-ellipsoidal clusters of various locations, sizes and shapes. The hyper-ellipsoidal clusters, representing fuzzy rules, are self-organized based of global competition in such a way as to ensute uniform mapping errors. The cooperative interpolation among the multiple clusters associated with a mapping allows the network to perform a bidirectional many-to-many mapping, representing a particular from of defuzzification. Finally, an inference engine is constructed for the network to search for an optimal chain of rules or situation transitions under the constraint of transition feasibilities imposed by the learned mapping. Applications of the proposed network to skill acquisition are shown.

  • This paper presents stabilization and adaptive control of flexible single link robot manipulator system by self-recurrent neural networks that is one of the neural networks and is effective in nonlinear control. The architecture of neural networks is a modified model of self-recurrent structure which has a hidden layer. The self-recurrent neural networks can be used to approximate any continuous function to any desired degree of accuracy and the weights are updated by feedback-error learning algorithm. When a flexible manipulator is rotated by a motor through the fixed end, transverse vibration may occur. The motor toroque should be controlled in such a way that the motor rotates by a specified angle, while simultaneously stabilizing vibration of the flexible manipuators so that it is arresed as soon as possible at the end of rotation. Accurate vibration control of lightweight manipulator during the large changes in configuration common to robotic tasks requires dynamic models that describe both the rigid body motions, as well as the flexural vibrations. Therefore, a dynamic models for a flexible single link robot manipulator is derived, and then a comparative analysis was made with linear controller through an simulation and experiment. The results are proesented to illustrate thd advantages and imporved performance of the proposed adaptive control ove the conventional linear controller.

  • 본 논문은 액티브네트워크 상의 웹 캐싱을 위한 서비스 컴포지션에 관하여 언급하였다. 액티브네트워크에서는 사용자의 요구사항에 맞게 서비스들을 빠르게 재구성하기 위한 서비스 컴포지션에 대한 요구사항이 대두되고 있다. 이러한 요구사항을 지원하기 위해서 우리는 액티브 네트워크상에서 웹 캐싱을 위한 서비스 컴포지션의 설계 및 구현에 관하여 언급하였다.

Phage Assembly Using APTES-Conjugation of Major Coat p8 Protein for Possible Scaffolds

  • Filamentous phages have been in the limelight as a new type of nanomaterial. In this study, genetically and chemically modified fd phage was used to generate a biomimetic phage self-assembly product. Positively charged fd phage (p8-SSG) was engineered by conjugating 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APTES) to hydroxyl groups of two serine amino acid residues introduced at the N-terminus of major coat protein, p8. In particular, formation of a phage network was controlled by changing mixed ratios between wild type fd phage and APTES conjugated fd-SSG phage. Assembled phages showed unique bundle and network like structures. The bacteriophage based self-assembly approach illustrated in this study might contribute to the design of three dimensional microporous structures. In this work, we demonstrated that the positively charged APTES conjugated fd-SSG phages can assemble into microstructures when they are exposed to negatively charged wild-type fd phages through electrostatic interaction. In summary, since we can control the phage self-assembly process in order to obtain bundle or network like structures and since they can be functionalized by means of chemical or genetic modifications, bacteriophages are good candidates for use as bio-compatible scaffolds. Such new type of phage-based artificial 3D architectures can be applied in tuning of cellular structures and functions for tissue engineering studies.
