  • The purpose of this study was to examine the correlation between self-efficacy and self-care of hemodialysis patients. The subjects consisted of 140 hemodialysis patients who underwent hemodialysis at 2 university hospitals. The data were collected by questionnaires and chart review. The questinnaire used the self-efficacy tool developed by Kim Ju Hyune(1995) and the self-care tool developed by literature review and indepth open openended questions to 10 patients. Also, the questionnaire included physiologic data which collected through review of the patients' charts. The statistical analysis was used the SPSS program for frequency, mean, t-test, ANOVA and Pearson correlation. The results were as follows : 1. The mean score for general self-efficacy of hemodialysis patients was 3.103(1-4point) and there were significant differences according to percieved health. The mean score for specific self-efficacy of hemodialysis patients was 3.113 (1-4point) and there were significant differencies according to percieved health, side effects and complications which related hemodialysis. 2. The mean score for self-care of hemodialysis patients was 3.822(1-5point) and there were significant differencies according to marital status and economic level. 3. The relationship between general self-efficacy and self-care was a positive correlation(P=.000). The relationship between specific self-efficacy and self-care was a positive correlation(P=.000). In conclusion, this study revealed the level of self-efficacy and self-care, and the positive correlation between self-efficacy and self-care in hemodialysis patients. Therefore, intervention is needed to promote self-efficacy for self-care of hemodialysis patients. Considering the vulnerable self-care area same as checking blood pressure and weight, fluid restriction, social adjustment, exercise and rest, luther studies should develop self-efficacy promoting programs for self-care of hemodialysis patients.

  • This study uses group attachment theory to examine how group attachment security affects individual creativity through self-efficacy. 151 students participated in an experimental study. Participants were randomly assigned to either a group attachment security prime or control condition group. The results reveal that (1) group attachment security was positively related to individual self-efficacy, which in turn positively influenced individual creativity. (2) Individual self-efficacy partially mediated the relationship between group attachment security and individual creativity. Synthesizing theories of group attachment theory, self-efficacy, and creativity, this study tested a theoretical mechanism linking group attachment security with creativity via self-efficacy. The results of this research suggest that many firms should improve the organizational culture of the perspectives of communication and cohesiveness to release creative ideas and strengthen individual self-efficacy more effectively. Implications of these results and future directions for further study are discussed.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the variables that learners should consider for learning persistence when applying blended learning to mathematics class which is a basic curriculum of engineering college. For this purpose, this study compared the basic mathematics class with the blended learning and the class without it. In addition, this study analyzed the influence of the learning outcomes of the blended learning on the willingness to learning persistence by using the self-efficacy and self-regulated learning variables that can predict it. As a result, it was found that the blended learning applied mathematics class of K university which is the subject of analysis in this study has higher self - efficacy, self - regulated learning, and learning persistence intention than general classroom. Finally, the results of this study are meaningful to provide the points to be considered for improving the learning performance when applying the blended learning to the subject class in the future.

In data analysis, SPSS PC ver 10.0 program was utilized and data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and t-test, ANOVA, Multiple Stepwise Regression and Pearson's correlation coefficient. Result: The average score of the pain, self-esteem, family support, self-efficacy, health promoting behavior was 5.38, 3.37, 4.29, 70.30, 2.68, respectively and the variable with the highest degree of it's subscale was interpersonal support(3.08), whereas the one with the lowest degree was exercise(1.66). There was a positive correlation(r=.327, p=.000) between the self-esteem and health promoting behavior. There was a positive correlation(r=.540, p=.000) between the family support and the self-efficacy and health promoting behavior. Family support, self-efficacy and marital status were significant factors to explain a variance of health promoting behavior in patients with chronic arthritis(51.6%). health promoting behavior. There was a positive correlation(r=.477, p= .000) between Conclusion: The health promoting behavior were positively correlated with self-esteem, family support and self-efficacy. These findings help to understand relationships among self-esteem, family support and self-efficacy in chronic arthritis patients. In addition, family support, self-efficacy and marital status were the mainly influencing factors of health promoting behavior. Among these variables family support was the most significant factor to predict a health promoting behavior. According to the results of this study, family support must be considered as a main factor in the nursing strategy for health promoting behavior of chronic arthritis patients.

Third, effect that self-growth program gets to self-concept may be meaning difference according to sex. Fourth, difference that impact that self-growth program gets in peer- relationship is meaning according to sex may join. Chose fifth-year student 2 class 68 people (experiment group n=34, control group n=34) in I primary school locating to Jeonrabuk-do Iksan-si to verify above construction for study target. Disposal about experiment group executed over 10th for 60-80 minute 2 times in a week because investigator uses reconstructing self-growth program with virtue research paper such as learning program for own growth of Lee-Hyeong-Deuk (1998). In order to verify the effect after experiment, 1 collected materials for estimation by providing the subject children with questionaires about self-concept and peer-relationship before and after the experiment, and then analyzed the average differences in number of marks between the experiment group and the control group before and after the experiment through and by using One-Way ANOVA, and SPSS 11.0 program. The following is the result what I obtained from the above study. First, there was significant difference is between average difference before and after of experiment group and control group which execute self-growth program in self-concept elevation ($F_{(1,66)} =28.734$, p <.001). From the sub-variable, there was significant difference in academic self ($F_{(1,66)}=6.423$, p<.05), Social Self ($F_{(1,66)}=48.331$, p<.001), Physical Self ($F_{(1,66)}=11.074$, p <.01), sentimental self ($F_{(1,66)}=9.402$, p <.01) Second, there was significant difference is average difference before and after of experiment group and control group which execute self-growth program in peer-relationship promotion ($F_{(1,66)}=24.109$, p <.001). From the sub-variable there W3S Significant difference in trust ($F_{(1,66)}=14.507$, p<.001), respect ($F_{(1,66)}=15.271$, p <.001). Third, there was expose that significant difference does not exist in average self-concept before and after by sex of experiment group which executes self-growth program, and was not shown significant difference in sub-vairable. Fourth, there was expose that significant difference of whole peer- relationship and in respect of sub-variable in average peer-relationship before-after by sex of experiment group which execute self-growth program, but significant difference did not appear in trust. Could get conclusion that self-growth program is effect in elementary school student self-concept elevation and peer-relationship promotion according to these study finding, and confirmed possibility that self-growth program may contribute to change emotional special quality of children positively in education spot.

  • This study investigated the influence of consumers' self-construal and self-monitoring on brand product preference by moderating brand visibility. Brand visibility consisted of product typicality and brand salience. The study results showed that respondents preferred products with high product typicality and low brand salience. Respondents with interdependent self-construal and high self-monitoring also showed a higher preference for high product typicality and low brand salience versus respondents with independent self-construal and low self-monitoring. Respondents preferred a product when they recognized a brand name, but brand visibility should be exposed naturally. Based on these results, this study has practical implications for the importance of maintaining brand identity and the appropriacy of brand logo size.
