This research aimed to determine how a combined yoga and tea meditation program would affect the happiness of adolescents. The investigation was conducted over a total of 11 sessions held twice a week with 15 female middle-school students. Each session lasted 90 min and comprised preparation for 5 min, Hatha yoga for 50 min, tea meditation for 15 min, the expression of feelings for 15 min, and 5 min were allocated to finishing the program and announcing the next session time. A t-test was performed before and after the program to analyze the effects of the program. A goodness of fit test, which is related to the improvement of happiness, was done through a path analysis. As a result, we were able to determine meaningful changes in the t-test scores of happiness, stress, and quality of life. The scores of mindfulness, physical self-concept, and self efficiency changed positively, but meaningful changes were not shown. To derive a final conclusion, we verified the mediator effect with respect to happiness through a structural model. Consequently, physical self-concept was activated as a promoter for improving self-efficiency and mindfulness. Mindfulness was the key factor that improved the happiness of the adolescent subjects.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of clinical art therapy programs utilized at schools on adolescents' suicidal thoughts and stress relief and to validate their effectiveness as a type of adolescent suicide prevention program. Methods: 12 sessions of clinical art therapy for youth suicide prevention were provided, once a week for 90 minutes, for 20 students at five middle schools in Seoul who were at high risk of committing suicide. By using the paired sample t-test, the study presented qualitative data on the analysis of pre- and post- questionnaires and on the subjects' EEG test and saliva test. Results: First, through the clinical art therapy program, the subjects' happiness index improved significantly while their scores of depression and suicidal ideation (suicidal thoughts) decreased. Second, in the EEG and saliva test conducted after the art therapy sessions, emotional stability increased and stress was reduced significantly. Third, according to the results of pre- and post- K-HTP tests and individual activities, the subjects started to recognize the seriousness of suicide and show emotional stability and positive changes in overall attitudes, valuing the rights and life of their own 'precious selves' (self respect). Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that the clinical art therapy program is significantly effective at preventing suicidal ideation by reducing suicidal impulses and depression, by increasing the happiness index, which can serve as a protective factor against suicide, and by increasing emotional stability while reducing stress. Based on the results, there is a need to develop policy measures regarding art therapy programs which can be utilized at schools.
This study was attempted to provide basic data for health promotion program for depressive relief by grasping the degree of depression of adult women and grasping the factors affecting depression. Data were collected using structured questionnaire for 249 adult women in the one marine city and analyzed through technical statistics, Pearson correlation coefficients and multiple regression analysis. According to the study, 76.3 percent (190 people) of women in the city were depressed. The subjects who expressed depression showed negative correlations with social support, self-respect and subjective euphoria and between depression and stress as positive correlation. The result of multiple regression analyses to identify the effects of depression have shown that stress is a major influencing factor, and this model has a 21.1% explanatory power. Therefore, the study found stress as a significant factor in the depression of adult women, it is necessary to develop and apply health promotion programs that can reduce stress in order to reduce depression in adult women.

The kindergarten teachers play a role in closely babysitting infants, teachers' high empathy helps respect infants' emotions and opinions, and leads to positive relationships, ultimately improving their job satisfaction and confidence, but lack specific research results. As a result, this study sought to find out how the empathy of kindergarten teachers affects job stress through positive psychological capital, and to find ways to increase positive psychological capital and empathy. To achieve this, the research method identified the causal relationship of each variable based on the results of the survey of 212 kindergarten teachers in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. According to the study, first, among the empathy abilities of kindergarten teachers, emotional empathy has a positive impact on all factors of positive psychological capital. Second, cognitive empathy among empathy abilities has a positive impact on all factors of positive psychological capital. Third, looking at the overall positive psychological capital of kindergarten teachers and the effects of job stress showed that it negatively affects self-efficacy and resilience.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of ego-resilience, adult attachment, and interpersonal competence on academic stress in nursing students and to provide the basic data of to control academic stress. Data were collected from 287 nursing students in B and C city and analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression using SPSS/WIN 22.0. The degree of academic stress in nursing students was 2.28±.46. There were significant differences in academic stress with respect to grade(F=16.342, p<.001), economic status(F=3.331, p=.037), number of alcohol drinking(F=3.393, p=.035), satisfaction of major(F=40.539, p<.001), college life satisfaction(F=67.304, p<.001). There was positive correlation between academic stress and adult attachment(r=.557, p<.001), negative correlation were found between academic stress and ego-resilience(r=-.379, p<.001), between academic stress and interpersonal competence(r=-.423, p<.001). The factors affecting the academic stress of the study subjects were ego-resilience(r=-.379, p<.001), adult attachment(r=.557, p<.001), with an explanatory power of 34%. Through this research requires the fellow study to determine the factors affecting academic stress of nursing students.

BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: Childhood obesity has increased in recent decades in Korea. This study was designed to examine differences in the eating habits, physical activity (PA), nutrition knowledge, and self-efficacy of children by obesity status. SUBJECTS/METHODS: Subjects were 5th-grade children from 70 elementary schools in 17 cities nationwide. Two-stage stratified cluster sampling was employed. Survey questionnaire included items related to general characteristics, eating habits, PA, nutrition knowledge and self-efficacy. Excluding incomplete responses, 3,531 data were analyzed using SPSS. Subjects were categorized into overweight obesity (OW) and normal weight (NW) groups based on body mass index percentiles for age by sex. RESULTS: A total of 21.5% of subjects was overweight or obese. There were significant differences in gender, perceived stress, perception of body shape, body satisfaction, and interest in weight control between the OW and NW groups (P < 0.001). With respect to eating habits, the OW group ate breakfast (P < 0.05) and snacks (P < 0.01) less frequently, ate bigger meals (P < 0.001), and demonstrated less desirable behaviors during meals (P < 0.05 in boys) compared to the NW group. The OW group participated in less PA than the NW group, especially boys. OW boys spent less time walking during weekdays (P < 0.05) or the weekend (P < 0.001), spent more time being sedentary during weekdays or the weekend (P < 0.001), and exercised a fewer number of days (P < 0.01). For girls, the OW group spent more time being sedentary during the weekend (P < 0.01) and exercised a fewer number of days by walking or bicycle riding (P < 0.05) than the NW group. Nutrition knowledge was not significantly different between the OW and NW groups. Self-efficacy (P < 0.01 in boys), especially PA self-efficacy (P < 0.01), was significantly lower in the OW than NW group. CONCLUSIONS: This study revealed differences in eating habits, PA, and self-efficacy between OW and NW children. Obesity management programs for children need to focus on increasing self-efficacy, modifying eating habits, and increasing PA.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors and effects of job stress of construction workers on construction accidents and turnover intention in order to improve the field work environment of construction industry which shows higher industrial accidents than other industries. To this end, research models and hypotheses were established based on previous research, and the questionnaire was distributed to 10 construction companies in Daejeon, Sejong, and Chungcheong provinces. The 301 data collected were performed statistical analysis such as basic statistical analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, regression analysis, and logistic regression analysis using the statistical package (IBM SPSS 22). The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, job stress has a significant effect on accident occurrence. Among the sub-factors of job stress, there was positive (+) influence on work culture and relationship conflict between peers, and organizational system had negative influence. Job demands, compensation incompetence, and job instability were not statistically significant. Therefore, it is necessary to concentrate on the factors of work culture, organizational system, and relationship conflict in the construction site. Second, job stress has positive effect on turnover intention. Job stress, inadequacy of compensation, and work culture were positively related to turnover intention. Third, job demands have a slightly greater impact than compensatory inadequacies. The factors that make the job turnover more important are the excessive job burdens such as respect, internal motivation, responsibility rather than expectation non-conformity, time pressure, increase of work load. Therefore, in order to reduce the turnover intention of the construction worker, it is necessary to pay attention to improvement of the job requirement. Fourth, the worker's job stress could overcome by exercise and fatigue elimination, work environment management, and self-opening for others. It is necessary to establish a work environment management system for counseling and intimacy formation to open up the exercise and fatigue relief program of the workers at the construction site and to open themselves between the workers and the supervisors.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of social factors and social stress with respect to alcohol consumption for university students and to provide basic data in efforts to develop educational method that teaches how to decrease alcohol consumption and deny demanding drinking. Questions concerning typical features and social stress from drinking were revised through 300 university students' self-recording surveys between April 8 and 9 in 2015. It consisted of 10 questions using a 4-point Likert scale. Moreover, the reliability of tool was Cronbach ${\alpha}=.82$. We used SPSS 18.0 and conducted frequency, ${\chi}^2$ and path analysis. If the frequency of drinking (B=.206, p<.001) gets low and the social stress from drinking is low (B=-.397, p<.001), the amount of drinking increases, particularly for men more than women (B=.169, p<.05). For women more than men (B=.274, p<.01), if monthly income is high (B=.178, p<.05) and stress from drinking is low (B=-.349, p<.01), the frequency of drinking is high. If the culture of practice in drinking has not formed voluntarily through education or publication, legal restriction that increases the cost of drinking has to be established, like smoking, to reduce the volume of drinking and promote moderation in drinking. The publication and education that teaches drinking leads to bad situations have to be conducted, much like the education programs involved for smoking. Also, discrimination of non-drinker has to be removed with the change of culture to reduce the stress by drinking.

Purpose: This study was carried out to understand the degree of moral distress of nurses and to provide scientific data for searching measures to efficiently manage their moral distress. Method: The survey was conducted with 302 nurses at the general hospital in City D by using the self-report type of questionnaire composed of 66 questions of 5-point Likert scale in four dimensions. Result: The mean scores of moral distress of nurses showed higher than average in all four dimensions: $80.54{\pm}14.82$ of 150 in the situational dimension, $52.99{\pm}9.98$ of 90 in the cognitive dimension, $13.30{\pm}2.85$ of 25 in the behavioral dimension, and $48.06{\pm}7.76$ of 65 in the emotional dimension. In addition, moral stress of each factor in the situational area showed $34.20{\pm}7.27$ in negative medical behavior, $10.98{\pm}2.53$ in lack of respect for autonomy of patients, excessive economic burden $10.86{\pm}2.94$, $7.40{\pm}1.89$ in irrational organizational administration and $17.10{\pm}3.50$ in negative nursing behavior. Conclusion: It is necessary to develop the intervention program to help nurses to reduce their moral distress since its degree showed considerably high.
It is the most important thing at present for physicians to posses the qualification of medical professionalism. A lot of medical schools have made all-out efforts to develop leaders of medicine, who will be able to meet the needs of medical professionalism in this complex medical environment. The purpose of this study is to review the cognitive base of medical professionalism leading the curriculum development of medical professionalism. The discussion of medical professionalism started in the 20th century. During the 1960s, there were attempts to reshape the concepts and attributes of medical professionalism. The government began to intervene in the autonomy of physician and the self regulation policy of medical society in 1970s. Physician may be asked to play as a healer and professional (what?) during their medical practice. The fundamental role of healer such as care, compassion, honesty, integrity, confidentiality, ethical behaviors, and respect with patients were nothing fresh to tell even though the age was changed. The attributes of professional which are physician's autonomy, self regulation, teamwork, and responsibility to society has been changed dramatically over the past five decades. In general, medical educators agreed that professionalism is demonstrated through a foundation of clinical competence, communication skills, and ethical and legal understanding, upon which is built application of the principles of professionalism: excellence, accountability, altruism, and humanism. If physicians fail to show professionalism in society, they will confront the crisis which can be under the government control. The only way to keep their autonomy is to practice medical professionalism. So far today, medical schools have laid more stress on competence than value standards in educational systems and it was restricted for medical students to learn the value standards for medical practice. To understand and practice the medical professionalism, it is the most realistic way to solve the complicated medical problems.
