Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the impact of the 3S-Smart, Simple & Speed Business Intelligence Systems(3S-BIS) program on various aspects including simulation design assessment, simulation education assessment, satisfaction among education participants, academic self-efficacy, entrepreneurship, and entrepreneurial competency for nurses. Method: This research was a non-equivalent control trial design study using two groups. 23 participants in experimental group, and 22 in the control group. Data were collected three intervals: before program, immediately after the program, four weeks later. Results: The experimental group showed significantly higher values across parameters, including simulation design assessment, simulation education assessment, satisfaction among education participants, academic self-efficacy, entrepreneurship, and entrepreneurial competency. Conclusion: The 3S-BIS program has shown a positive impact on improving nursing start-up competency. Applying 3S-BIS can be effectively used across all ranges of nurses and is recommended.
This study is a descriptive research attempted to examine the exercise practice of junior high school students and figure out their changing process, decision-making balance, and self-efficacy according to the exercise practice so that they can be utilized as fundamental data for developing exercise intervention programs for junior high school students. The study subjects were students from five junior high schools in B City. Total 600 questionnaires were distributed, and 554 responded ones were analyzed. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS/Win 10.0. According to the results of analyzing the subjects with the exercise changing stage tool, exercise non-practice group including the precontemplation stage, contemplation stage, and preparation stage occupies 57.6% while the exercise practice group including the action stage and maintenance stage consists of 42.4%. And according to the results of discriminating analysis setting total 10 factors of transtheoretical model variables as predictive factors to predict each group based on whether they practice exercise or not, it was found out that the subordinate factors of the changing process, consciousness-raising (F=33.98, p=.000), self-cognitive decision (F=21.55, p=.000), contrary condition provision (F=84.67, p=.000), helping relationship (F=28.52, p=.000), reinforced thinking (F=14.15, p=.000), and stimulus control (F=54.64, p=.000), and the subordinate factors of the decision-making balance, beneficial factors (F=15.65, p= .000) and hindering factors (F=8.58, p=.004), and self-efficacy (F=78.60. p=.000) were significant predictive factors and discriminating variables. Based on the research findings above, it will be necessary to develop exercise intervention programs sufficiently reflecting the changing process, decision-making balance, and self-efficacy suitably for the subjects and make strategies to encourage their active participation and exercise maintenance, through verifying transtheoretical model variables according to whether the junior high school students practice exercise or not.

The purpose of this study aims to be used as base data of a policy which forms university students' appropriate behavior for the prevention of infection by analyzing some university students' prevention awareness of new type of infection. A self-administered questionnaire survey about students' seriousness, sensitivity, self-efficacy, and prevention behavior intent of new infection, was conducted in an university located in Gyeonbuk from April. 30th to May. 11th, 2018. Analyzing factors which affect the prevention behavior intent of infection with controlled general factor and health behavior, the prevention behavior intent was increased by ${\beta}=.125$ as seriousness increases and ${\beta}=.709$ as self-efficacy increases in Model 2, final model. However, sensitivity has no significant effect on the prevention behavior intent. Originally sensitivity has to be a significant factor regarding to the prevention behavior intent of new infection. But the result that sensitivity has no influence at all, shows that the students are insensitive to new diseases as they don't fear or sense danger of new infection. Therefore, a disease control policy which helps to increase sensitivity has to be established.
The purpose of this study is to explore what causes medical college students to play games they will play and use them as academic foundation material. And lay a complex foundation for game addicts. To achieve this objective, an approach was taken as a method of exploratory case study. The participants in the study were recruited by their consent at the R meeting of the College of Medicine. Data collection was collected through a one-on-one interview with FGI. The data analysis was read repeatedly and classified into semantic units to derive the essential meaning. The study produced two essential topics and seven revealed topics. It is 'my job to play games' and 'know the importance of discrimination.'According to the analysis, the game behavior played by medical students was able to quit due to the self-efficacy experienced during the course of growth. When one's expectations were met and self-strengthened, one could see that self-control was possible through self-efficacy. It suggested that measures for sound game culture and complex strategy should be explored and measures to improve self-efficacy should be explored.
Purpose: The Purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of the '5&6 smoking cessation program - six classes in five weeks' on the high school students' perception and smoking behavior. Methods: The data collection was done from November to December, 2006. This study was designed using nonequivalent control group pretest - posttest. Experimental group had 24 students, control group had 41 students. The '5&6 smoking cessation program' was applied to the experimental group for two hours per session during five weeks. Data analysis was done using descriptive statistics, X2-test, Fisher's exact test, Independent-samples t-test, Paired t-test, Cronbach's coefficient alpha. Results: The experimental group showed significant increase on smoking self-efficacy, stage of smoking cessation behavior change and significant decrease on daily smoking amount, dependancy of nicotine, urine cotinine level than control group. But the experimental group was not significantly changed at self-awareness, Pros. for smoking and Cons. for smoking. Conclusion: In conclusion, the results of this study showed that the 5&6 smoking cessation program, which focuses on self-awareness, is effective in adolescent's smoking cessation behaviors.
Objectives: The efficacy, feasibility, and safety of bench-step aerobics (BSA) program in overweight or obese Korean adult women have been implied. However, there has been almost no evidence for its psychological benefits. As such, the purpose of this study was to investigate the psychological benefits of BSA program in overweight or obese (body mass index ${\geq}\;23\;kg/m^2$) Korean adult women. Method: Anger, exercise self-efficacy, exercise-related affect, and body image of overweight or obese women who participated in a 12-week BSA program (n=15) were compared with those of their counterparts in the control group (n=13). Subjects were selected among public health center visitors and those recruited by putting an advertisement in local newspapers and the public health center homepage. Data from the exercise and control groups were collected before and after the 12-week BSA program (from August to November in 2006) at the public health centers. The exercise program consisted of 45 to 60 min moderate-intensity (40/50 to 50/60% of their hear rate reserve) BSA performed for 3 days a week. Results: After the BSA program, body image of the subjects in the exercise group was significantly improved and there was a significant difference between the exercise and control groups. Anger, exercise self-efficacy, and exercise-related affect were improved after the BSA program but the changes did not reach the level of statistical significance and there were no significant differences between the exercise and control groups. Conclusions: In conclusion, BSA appears to significantly enhance body image in overweight or obese Korean adult women but its effects on anger, exercise self-efficacy, and exercise-related affect do not appear to be statistically significant. Further studies involving different subjects, particularly whose levels of anger are high or whose levels of exercise-related affect are low to exclude the influence of the ceiling or floor effect, are warranted in a randomized controlled design.
This study configured an integrated math program in which young children can directly participate through storytelling, a teaching technique that has recently earned great popularity. The purpose of the study is to have a positive effect on their mathematical disposition and self-efficacy through the adoption of this program. The program consists of the following five themes: 'understanding of the basic concept of numbers and calculation', 'understanding of the basic concept of space and figure', 'basic measurement', 'understanding of rules' and 'basic data collection and result representation'. The specific activities for each theme planned and executed according to a detailed plan were designed for 20 classes including integrated activities such as story sharing, fine arts and games. The study's participants were 48 five-year old children. The result of the research was that the experimental group's mathematical disposition and self-efficacy score was significantly higher than the control group. The Storytelling-Integrated Math Program was effective in young children's cultivating mathematical disposition and improving self-efficacy. Considering the reality that there has been some confusion and difficulty in carrying out storytelling math and an integrated math program based on the NURI curriculum, it appears that this study could provide a specific and effective teaching-learning program to teachers who want to introduce a program like this.g

This study was conducted to identify the effects of repeated cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training using smart learning on nursing students' knowledge, self-efficacy, and clinical competency. A quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group, pretest-posttest design was used. The subjects of the study were 102 nursing college students who had received CPR training for 6 months. The CPR training was divided into smart learning, lecture education, and practical education. Data were collected from November to December, 2016 and analyzed by descriptive statistics, ${\chi}^2$-test, t-test and one way ANOVA using the SPSS/WIN 21.0 program. The scores of cardiopulmonary resuscitation knowledge were higher in the lecture education group than the practical education group and the smart learning group. Scheffe's post hoc test revealed a statistically significant difference among groups (F=8.23, p=<.001). The self-efficacy of the practical education group was higher than that of the lecture education group and smart learning group, but this difference was not significant (F=2.46, p=.091). The clinical competency of the practical education group and smart learning group were higher than that of the lecture education group. Scheffe's post hoc test revealed that the value of clinical competency differed significantly among groups (F=59.90, p=<.001). Overall, the results showed that effective education differs based on nursing students' knowledge, self-efficacy, ad clinical competency. Combination training would be required for more effective repeated cardiopulmonary resuscitation training.
The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of Simulation as a Problem-Based Learning (S-PBL) on critical thinking disposition, self-efficacy, and learning attitude and to compare an ordinary least square and a quantile regression method in impacting factors on critical thinking disposition. 143 students from six classes were randomly selected from a total of ten fundamental classes were assigned 66 in the control group and 77 in the experimental group. The results were that the experimental group received S-PBL and improved their critical thinking disposition and self-efficacy compared to the traditional learning method. In ordinary least square, affecting factors on critical thinking were the learning method and self-efficacy and these variables explained 41.0% in the critical thinking disposition. The results of the quantile regression method showed that affecting factors of critical thinking disposition were learning attitude of 0.1 quantile to 0.7 quantile and self-efficacy of all quantiles, and learning attitude of 0.4, 0.6, and 0.7 quantiles. Conclusion: The S-PBL is an effective method for nursing students who have low critical thinking disposition score to increase critical thinking disposition. And instructors can actively use S-PBL to enhance critical thinking disposition as well as self-efficacy in class.

Purpose: This study was done to evaluate the effects of foot reflexology on blood pressure, serum lipids, fatigue and self-efficacy in patients with hypertension. Methods: The research was done between June 23 and July 31, 2003 and the design was an experimental treatment design. The thirty-four participants were assigned to either an experimental group (18) or a control group (16), Foot reflexology was administered twice a week for 6 weeks to participants in the experimental group. Results: There was a significant decrease in systolic blood pressure and diastolic pressure in the experimental group compared to the control group. After the foot reflexology, total cholesterol and triglyceride levels for the experimental group did not decrease significantly compared to the control group. High density lipoprotein find low density lipoprotein levels also did not decrease significantly after foot reflexology Fatigue in the experimental group decreased significantly after foot reflexology. Self-efficacy in the experimental group did not decrease significantly after foot reflexology. Conclusion: The results show that foot reflexology is an effective nursing: intervention to decrease systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure and to treat fatigue but not serum lipids. Therefore, blood cholesterol should be further evaluated with a larger group of participants and for a longer period. Further research is necessary to evaluate and to compare effects of self-foot reflexology and foot reflexology.
