The purpose of this study was to identify factors influencing professional self-concept among nursing students. A descriptive survey design was used with convenience sample of 250 nursing students studying in 1 nursing college. The data were obtained from November 17 to 30, 2012 by self-reported questionnaire. The collected date were analyzed using SPSS WIN 18.0 program. The mean score for professional self-concept, self-esteem and, self-efficacy were at the intermediate level, with the value of 3.27, 3.14 and 3.78. There were moderate positive correlation between the professional self-concept and self-esteem(r=0.580, p<.001), the professional self-concept and self-efficacy (r=0.645, p<.001) and there were moderate positive correlation between self-esteem and self-efficacy(r=0.611, p<.001). The influencing factors in professional self-concept of nursing students were self esteem, self efficacy, and motivation of nursing(Adj $R^2=.479$). In order to encourage nursing college students professional self-concept, the nursing college should make efforts to develop a curriculum and program for improving self-esteem and self-efficacy.
Main purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the self-leadership of local public officials on the customer-oriented public service provision. Structural Equation Model was applied to analyze the relationship between self leadership and customer oriented public service attitude. Positive structural relationships between self-leadership and customer-oriented attitude was confirmed from empirical analysis. While variable job-satisfaction took intermediating role between self-leadership and customer-oriented attitude. The result implies that behavioral approach might be a more effective policy measure to improve citizen's satisfaction for public services. For a extended periods, Korean government introduced various institutional arrangements to improve the customer satisfaction for public service. However, the result was not satisfactory. The result of this study suggest behavioral approach to improve public service customer satisfaction.
The purpose of this study was to compare differences in role conflict, self efficacy, job satisfaction, and job involvement perceived by school nutrition teachers and dietitians. A total of 335 female school nutrition teachers and dietitians from Incheon area were surveyed by a self-report questionnaire in November 2010. Collected data were processed using SPSS 15.0. The reliability of the questionnaire was tested and differences between the two groups were analyzed using the Student's t-test, the chi-square test, and a two-way analysis of variance (ANOVA). The job satisfaction level of nutrition teachers was higher than that of dietitians. The effect of role conflict and job satisfaction for nutrition teachers and dietitians was different according to age. In addition, self-efficacy, job satisfaction, and job involvement of nutrition teachers and dietitians were influenced by their annual salaries. The frequency of meals served also affected role conflict, job satisfaction, and job involvement of the nutrition teachers and dietitians, and the effect of job involvement by the nutrition teachers and dietitians was different according to meal service type. Therefore, it is necessary to establish strategies for resolving role conflicts among school foodservice specialists and improve their self-efficacy for enhancing consumer's satisfaction with the general quality of school food service. These efforts may contribute to job satisfaction and job involvement of food service specialists and ultimately to the productivity of food service and the establishment of food service specialist roles.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of COVID 19. The effects of COVID 19 are grouped into 5; economic stress, mental stress, health stress, task concern, self-confidence. We introduce the concept of personal ambidexterity that is necessary power for cabin crews to provide appropriate and efficient service to passengers. Ambidexterity consists of exploiting existing resources to sustain and exploring the new including method of performing task, customer, market etc. The former is necessary to maintain present condition while the latter is necessary to prepare for the future. Also motive is considered as a stimulating factor for task. Previous studies show that motive affects ambidexterity and we try to analyze whether COVID 19 effects influence this relationship. Research design, data, and methodology: Considering the relationship between the variables, we designed to measure the influence of the effects of COVID 19 by analyzing the moderating effects of them. For empirical analysis we distributed survey questionnaire and collected. Total of 361 samples are used fo the analysis. For analysis program, SPSS version 23 was used. Regression analysis and moderating effect analysis were conducted. Results: Study results show that first, the variables of economic stress, mental stress, health stress, task concern, self confidence affects personal ambidexterity and service provision. Also ambidexterity affects service provision significantly. Among COVID 19 effects, economic stress, task concern, and self confidence has moderating effects. On the other hand, new work environment does not have moderating effect. Conclusions: In conclusion, the effects of COVID 19 are wide and various. Among them the most serious effect is that COVID 19 is depriving workers of self confidence and passion toward the work. To remedy stresses and restore self confidence and passion, each worker should make his/her own efforts, such as, learning more to become more competitive, also firms should do make efforts to protect employees and to rebuild trust between firm and employees in every respect. Especially firms should realize that economic stress can be treated by economic compensation as the situation turns to normal but trust as well as self confidence and passion is not easy to restore.
The hotel industry needs to make the competitive advantage difficult to be imitated in order to remain sustainable in competitive business circumstances. Front-line employees' service-oriented citizenship behaviors(OCBs) can be such a strength from the perspective of organizational system. With an aim of investigating the antecedents of the hotel front-line employees' service-oriented OCBs, this study proposed a theoretical framework linking authentic leadership to service-oriented OCBs with goal commitment as a mediator. A total of 260 cases without missing values have been used for the final analysis and structural equation modeling (SEM) is employed using the SPSS and AMOS 7. It was first found that self-awareness and relational transparency of authentic leadership made a significant impact on their goal commitment while balanced processing and moral perspective failed to influence them. Second. goal commitment influenced all sub-factors of service-oriented OCBs. Third, moral perspective and relational transparency of authentic leadership significantly influenced service-oriented OCBs while self-awareness and relational transparency failed to make it. Finally, goal commitment significantly makes an intervening effect for the relationship between self-awareness & service-oriented OCBs and relational transparency & service-oriented OCBs but failed to intervene the other relationships. The results provide theoretical and practical implications regarding directions of leadership styles and HR management in the hotel industry and suggestions for the further extended studies.
With the development of information and communication technology, logistics distribution systems and services have been improved, new types of services have been provided, and consumption patterns in consumer markets have also changed. In the domestic distribution market, the development of ICT technology, the spread of smart devices, and the growth of the e-commerce market have led to Omni-channel, a service that integrates offline channels and online channels. Omni-channel service aims to provide consumers with consistent and convenient service by integrating offline and online domain into one. Consumers can get integrated service on and offline. In this study, consumers' intention to use Omni-channel was examined by Self Determination Theory and SERVQUAL. The survey was conducted on Omni-channel user and the research model was composed of 2nd order factor model considering the characteristics of Omni-channel which provides integrated service based on the prior literature and PLS-SEM (partial least squares structural equation modeling).
Advances in information and communication technology have introduced self-service technologies (SSTs) to service companies, changing the way they serve. In addition, as SSTs are expanding for low cost and high efficiency, opportunities for technology to interact with consumers have increased. Restaurant managers have the advantage of the SSTs win-win strategy, which allows consumers to freely receive the products or services they want, but some consumers have low satisfaction of the SSTs, especially elder people and the blind. This study examines the effect of unmanned order payment technology on service quality evaluation. For this, we interviewed a total of 12 consumers in their 10s to 50s with the experiences of using unmanned order payment technology, applying the Grounded Theory Method(GTM). Through a review of the research participant interview materials, totally 84 concepts were derived and the concepts were analyzed to derive 15 subcategories and 10 upper categories. Finally, a paradigm model of the effect of unmanned order payment technology on service quality assessment was derived. It also found the importance of consumers' sense of obligation to use unmanned order payment technology, recognition of advantages (e.g., time savings), recognition of shadow labor, and recognition of whether the technology usage process is in the service quality assessment stage.
This study evaluated methods of improving sustained learning participation by examining the structural relationship of school support consisting of professor support, friend-senior support and educational environment support, career decisionmaking self-efficacy, school satisfaction, and learning persistence depending on the characteristics of college students majoring in culinary art and food service. The study findings were as follows. First, the general characteristics of college students majoring in culinary art and food service were perceived significantly more by female students than by male students. Second, school support directly influenced the career decision-making self-efficacy and school satisfaction, but did not directly influence the learning persistence. Instead, school support influenced school satisfaction and learning persistence indirectly by the medium of career decision-making self-efficacy. Third, career decision-making self-efficacy directly influenced school satisfaction and learning persistence and indirectly influenced learning persistence by the medium of school satisfaction. Lastly, school satisfaction directly influenced the learning persistence, implying that school satisfaction is an important factor for the learning persistence of college students majoring in culinary art and food service. These results show that, because school members and environmental support cannot exclusively make learning persistence, diverse systems and programs must be developed and applied to improve the career decision-making self-efficacy and school satisfaction of college students majoring in culinary art and food service.
Purpose - To understand the assessment basis of customers' coffee shop experience and give more practical advices to the franchised coffee shops which are poorly managed in the competitive market, this study identified factors to measure the quality of customer experience and explored the relationship between these factors and customer satisfaction and loyalty. Further, this study analyzed which role self-efficacy played in the structural relationship between the quality assessment factors, satisfaction and loyalty of franchised coffee shops. Research design, data, methodology - The data were collected from respondents who had visited franchised coffee shops within the previous month through online survey. The questionnaires were surveyed from February 11 to February 14, 2019. A total of 318 responses were collected after excluding four of incomplete or uncandid responses. A structural equation modeling approach was used to examine the proposed hypothesis and a confirmatory factor analysis was employed to verify the four dimensions of quality assessment. Results - The findings of this study are as follows. First, the three of quality assessment variables significantly influenced on satisfaction except environmental quality. Second, economic and service quality significantly influenced on self-efficacy but environmental and menu quality didn't. Third, satisfaction significantly influenced on loyalty but not on self-efficacy. Fourth, self-efficacy significantly influenced on Loyalty. Conclusions - This study identified the four dimensions to assess the franchised coffee shop service - menu, environment, service and economic quality and verified these four dimensions are valid as indicators to measure the quality of customers' coffee shop experience. Further, by empirically testing the structural relationships among these quality assessment dimensions, satisfaction, self-efficacy and loyalty, this study provided theoretical foundations to explore the relationship between customer and the franchised stores in restaurant businesses. For the industry, the study findings showed that customers highly appreciated menu and economic quality of the service rather than the stores' interior. This indicate that the franchised coffee shops need to focus more on the basics of coffee such as taste and menu variety and economic value than the decoration of the store, which are often over-invested nowadays.

Smartphone services seem to be appealing to people worldwide and show rapid growth in mobile service market. Based on the theoretical framework like attachment theory and self-congruity theory, we developed the research model and proposed six hypotheses. An analysis of 113 smartphone service users found that continued use intention in smartphone services is affected by uses' attachment to the service. We also found that the attachment is significantly increased by self-congruity, customization, and perceived usefulness. Our aim was to gain insight into ways of creating an environment that facilitating continued use intention of smartphone services. This study has important implications for academic researchers and practitioners who seek to understand why smartphone service users continuously use their smart phone services. Other practical implications of these findings and future research implications are also discussed.
