The purpose of this study was to investigate brand slognas that are effective in explaining how brand identity affects consumers. The effect of congruity between brand slogan and self-image (low and high) on attitude to slogans and brands were anaylzed. The moderating effect of self-monitoring (low and high) was also investigated. Survey data from 177 people in their 20s-30s were analyzed through descriptive statistics, exploratory factor analysis, and two-way ANOVA. First, congruity between slogan and self-image had a positive effect on both slogan and brand attitude. In other words, the higher the congruity between slogan and self-image, the more positive the attitude toward the slogan and brand. Second, no interactive effect was found in congruity between slogan and self-image and self-monitoring on slogan attitude; however it was identified for brand attitude. Again, in a group with high congruity between slogan and self-image, attitude toward the brand was more positive when self-monitoring was higher than when it was low. In conclusion, brand slogans that can represent the self-image of highly self-monitoring consumers are effective. In particular, this is meaningful as it has revealed its relationship with the impact of identity self-image congruity and self-monitoring on brand attitudes in fashion brands. These results offer meaningful guidance in determining brand slogans according to consumers' personal characteristics.
The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of personal image on self-leadership. The experimental study showed relationship between the variables of personal image and self-leadership by using personal image questionnaires and a revised self-leadership questionnaire both extracted from the literature study. The results of this study are as follows. First, six factors of self-leadership were drawn as the reliability and validity of were verified. The factors of self-leadership and the components for personal images showed a significant correlation. Second, the satisfaction rates of the components for personal image showed significant effects on three factors(performed successfully imagination, self-set goals, as well as belief and assumption analysis) of self-leadership. Third, significant results were obtained from the analysis of differences in self-leadership according to the levels of satisfaction on the components of personal image. These are expected to have effects on self-leadership between the groups for some factors(performed successfully imagination, self-set goals, belief and assumption analysis, self-reward, self-cues).
The purpose of the present study was to investigate images pursued and purchase behaviors for clothing as determined by self-image. Data were collected through a self-administered questionnaire survey from March 3 to March 11, 2003 from 600 female students attending universities in Seoul; 514 were used for the data analysis. Data were analyzed by chi-square analysis, t-test, ANOVA, correlation analysis, tics, cluster analysis and Duncan's multiple range test. Self image was defined six factors: social image, gay image, intellectual image, girlish image, iron nerves image, image like a man and was classified three group avail of six factor: commonness type, social brilliance type, immature boldness type. The results showed significant differences in images of actual clothing worn by self and in the clothing image pursued among the groups determined by the self image. Significant differences were also found in clothing purchase behaviors such as monthly clothing expenditure, shopping frequency, store types, and the clothing items often used for expressing self-image among the groups divided by self-image.
In this paper. the focus is laid on identifying preferred wedding dress image and its co-relationship with self image of female university students. the biggest potential customer group in the industry. As for the research method. it conducted both review of literature and empirical research method. Through the former approach, four main research questions were derived : 1) What is the preferred wedding dress image of female university students\ulcorner 2) What is the relationship between real self-image and preferred wedding dress image\ulcorner and 3) that between ideal self-image and preferred wedding dress image\ulcorner 4)What is the relationship between the consistency level of the two self-images and preferred wedding dress image\ulcorner In the empirical mode of research, 404 surveys were counted in the final analysis among 450 questionnaires completed by female undergraduate students in Seoul and Chun-an city. Collected data analyzed using factor analysis. frequency analysis. descriptive analysis. scheffe test. multiple-regression analysis and t-test. Results are as follows: first, the sophisticated image was most preferred among female students, followed by elegant splendor. lovable and chaste, feminine and decorative, and characteristic and sexy image. This result indicates how wedding dress trend has a keen sensibility to general fashion trend just like the trend of outfits for everyday life. Secondly, the research results indicated consistent level of co-relationship among the real and ideal self-image and the preference of wedding dress image. And the last the level of consistence between the ideal self-image and the real self-image directly related to the preference level of wedding dress image, showing almost no significance.

The trend that an apartment is regarded as not only a substantial property called 'residence' but also 'means of self-expression' to consumers is increasing in the present housing marketing, and thus, the apartment brand image is settling down as an important field of marketing management. Therefore, the present study aimed to verify difference of brand attitude according to consentaneity between an image of a housing brand and self-image of consumers to propose one kind of direction of strategies for formation of a differentiated brand image. As a result of a research, the trend that consumers show more positive attitude on a brand apartment having a brand image closer to an ideal self-image was analyzed to exist even if it is weak, so it was confirmed that the consentaneity between a brand image and a self-image of housing products can become a variable having some influence on brand attitude. The survey method understood a brand image, a self-image and brand attitude by using a Likert's 5-point scale on apartment brands of upper three companies according to a study result of a national brand competitiveness index(NBCI) and understood self-consentaneity by using a distance measurement model of self-consentaneity of Sirgy(1982). The questionnaire for the present research was carried out by surveying students of D university and the PASW program was used for statistical data analysis.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the image of nurses and the professional self-concept perceived by nursing students. Method: The subjects included were 93 students. The research tool was the Professional Self-Concept of Nurses Instrument(PSCNI) by Arthur and Image of Nurses by Yang. Result: 1. The professional self-concept consisted of 4 factors : flexibility, satisfaction, competence, empathy. 2. The image of nurse consisted of 4 factors : official image, maternal image, professional image. unfavorable image. 3. The average item score of PSCNI was $2.94{\pm}30$. 4. The average item score of nurse' image was $3.63{\pm}46$ 5. The Professional self-concept of nurses(p=.0001) and image of nurses(p=.001) was found to significantly according to satisfaction for major. 6. The correlation between professional self-concept and image of nurses revealed correlation of r=.315(p=.004). Conclusion: There was a association between professional self concept of nurses, image of nurses and satisfaction for major. Therefore it is required to develop education program and strategy that helps establish satisfaction for major so that nursing students can experience firm professional self concept and positive image of nursing.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effect of self-perception on the relationship between body image and depressive symptoms in middle school adolescents. Methods: This study performed a pathway analysis with a sample of 284 adolescents recruited from three middle schools. Self-reported questionnaires consisted of items regarding body image, self-perception, and depressive symptoms. Results: Body image, self-perception, and depressive symptoms showed a significant correlation. Self-perception was directly affected by body image and depressive symptoms were not affected by body image. The mediating effect of self-perception on body image's impact on depressive symptoms was confirmed. Self-perception had a significant indirect effect on depressive symptoms, which means that self-perception has a full mediating effect on body image's impact on depressive symptoms. Conclusion: The effect of body image on depressive symptoms was fully mediated by self-perception in early adolescents. It suggests that self-perception needs to be considered when providing nursing interventions for adolescents.
This study examines the image management behavior according to self-monitoring, self-objectification of profile-based SNS users. Questionnaires were administered to 313 SNS users including both men and women in their 20s to 30s. The SPSS 25.0 package was utilized for data analysis, which included frequency analysis, factor analysis, Cronbach's ?, t-test, and regression analysis. The study analyzed self-monitoring in 2 groups (high, low), self-objectification for 2 factors (body surveillance, body shame), and image management behavior for 5 factors (fashion oriented, instrumentality, conformity, ostentation, interpersonal disposition). The results revealed: first, self-monitoring groups exhibited significant differences in self-objectification. The higher self-monitoring group was more influenced by body surveillance and body shame compared to the low self-monitoring group. Second, self-objectification had a positive influence on all the factors of image management behavior. Especially, body surveillance demonstrated a high influence on instrumentality and body shame showed a high influence on ostentation. Third, the self-monitoring groups showed significant differences in all the factors of image management behavior. The higher self-monitoring group demonstrated more influence of image management behavior compared to the low self-monitoring group. These results provide useful information in understanding the influence of social media on users' psychological attitude and consciousness toward their body and image management behavior.

The purpose of this study was to identify the factors which explain consumer's information search behavior. Data were analyzed by utilizing factor analysis and multiple-regression to investigate the relationship among information sources, benefit, and actual and ideal self- image and demographics. Based on the results, information sources for benefit, actual and ideal self-image were developed. Predictors of information sources, benefits, and self-image were identified. Marketing implication about information sources were discussed. The results were as follows. 1. Actual and ideal self-images and information sources were devised into three factors. And benefits were devised into five factors. 2. Actual self-image has more predicting power than ideal self-image to the benefits which consumer sought. Among five benefits, character pursuit was the best predicted factor according to the self-image. 3. Among three information sources, mass communication was the most effective source which can be explained by the benefit and self-image. Fashion pursuit factor was the most significant factor to the mass communication oriented source.
The purpose of this study was to classify the contents of self-image of college men and to investigate how clothing behavior was influenced by self-image, age, major, and the expenses of clothing. Samples were 342 male students of univer-sity in Seoul. Results of this study were following : 1. Four factors of self-image derived by factor analysis : F. 1‘mature-unmatured’;F. 2‘characteristic-ordinary’; F. 3‘conservative-open’; F. 4‘dominant-submissive’.2. 5 variables of clothing behavior were influenced by real self-image. Fashion was influenced by characteristic, open, dominant image, and the expenses of clothing. The ex-planatory power of the 4 variables was 29.3%. Aesthetics was influenced by characteristic, submissive, conservative image, the expenses of clothing, and age(R2=28.7%). Modesty was influenced by conservative and ordinary im-age(R2=6.5%). Coformity was influenced by ordinary image and the expenses of clothing (R2=5.7%). Comfort was influenced by dominant image and age(R2=5.3%). 3. 5 variables of clothing behavior were influenced by ideal self-image. Fashion was influenced by unmatured, characteristic, sub-missive image, and the expenses of clothing (R2=28.9%). Aesthetics was influenced by characteristic image, the expenses of clothing, and age(R2=23.5%). Modesty was influenced by conservative, mature, and ordinary image (R2=8.3%). Coformity was influenced by ordinary image(R2=1.9%). Comfort was influenced by mature image and age(R2=5.6%). The findings indicated that self-image had a significant effect on fashion and aesthetics, and characteristic image and conservative image were important variables that affected clothing behavior of college men.
