The questionnaire was used for this survey, consisted of a self-management, a timemanagement, a self-efficacy, an internal locus of control, mother’s home management, and mother’s support scale. Factor analysis, multiple regression analysis and path analysis were employed for data analysis. The major findings of this study were as follows: First, mother’s home management planning ability had the most affect on adolescent time-management ability in terms of planning and implementing, while self-efficacy had the most affect on time-management evaluating ability. Second, adolescent’ time-management planning ability had the most affect on lifestyle and money management, time-management implementing ability on studies management, self-efficacy on health management, and internal locus of control on interpersonal relation management of adolescents. Third, among adolescent self-management, lifestyle management, studies management and money management can be achieved through the mediation of adolescent time management ability. They exhibit indirect influence through adolescent self-efficacy, internal locus of control, mother’s home-management planning ability, and mother’s home-management implementing ability. And then experimental group was treated with brain gym, while control group was no treated. The treatment lasted for 8weeks, each day consisting of 25minutes. In order to test the effectiveness of the brain gym, posttests were administered after treatment. The results were analyzed by using t-test. The findings of this study were as follows: 1. The posttest score of experimental group showed higher than that of control group in self-regulated ability. But the difference was not statistically significant. 2. In experimental group, the posttest score showed higher than the pretest score in self-regulated ability. The difference was statistically significant. 3. The posttest score of experimental group showed higher than that of control group in self-esteem. The difference was statistically significant. 4. In experimental group, the posttest score showed higher than the pretest score in self-esteem. The difference was statistically significant, especially in academic self-esteem. The above results could be taken as the indication that the brain gym could be applied in school settings to promote the higher self-regulated ability and self-esteem.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of academic stress and self-control ability on temporomandibular disorder (TMD) of adolescents. Methods: Participants were 1,112 teenagers who were 1st grade students of middle and high school. After checking their academic stress and self-control ability through a self-administrated questionnaire, the students were examined their TMD by two trained dentists. We drew a comparison the level of their academic stress and self-control ability between the students with and without TMD. We divided them to four groups according to the level of academic stress and self-control. And we checked prevalence of TMD in each level. Results: The group of students with TMD was higher academic stress score level than the students without TMD (p<0.05). And they had lower self-control score level than the students without TMD (p<0.05). Even if they were under the same academic stress, the group of students with higher self-control score was less TMD prevalence than the students with lower score. Conclusions: Academic stress makes adolescents to increase TMD and high ability of self-control makes them to decrease it. And these tendencies are seemed to have a great influence on young male student.
