  • The purpose of this research is to determine oriental hospital staffs' education status, their knowledge, overall attitudes and self-confidence in conducting cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and how those factors influence their performance of CPR. This research was conducted from September 1st to 15th in 2014 and involved 104 participants who worked at P Oriental Hospital at Y city, and well-structured surveys were used throughout the research. The collected data underwent descriptive statics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe' test, Pearson correlation coefficients and stepwise multiple regression by the SPSS WIN 19.0 program. The results revealed the staffs' knowledge of CPR (r=.27, p=.007), attitude (r=.42, p=.001), and confidence in conducting cardiopulmonary resuscitation (r=.48, p=.001), which indicates all the factors are positively correlated. In conclusion, as the knowledge of CPR increased, CPR attitude and CPR performance confidence increased. We also found that a positive attitude toward CPR increases CPR performance confidence. Therefore, education in CPR should be included in workplaces. Through education, CPR performance and performance confidence can be reinforced at the time of emergency.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate changes in geological contents knowledge and self-confidence before and after the geological field trips. Fifty seven undergraduate students at a national university of education participated in this study. The questionnaires were developed by the researcher to serve the purpose. Findings were as follows. First, before and after the geological field trip, there was no significant difference in changes of geological content knowledge (p<.05). However, participants' self-confidence about the geological field trip changed significantly (p<.01). Second, there were no significant differences in changes of both variables in terms of gender (p<.05). And in this study, participants were grouped into two: science track that selected science areas and non-science track with social study selected in the college scholastic ability test. There were also no significant differences in changes of geological contents knowledge and self-confidence in terms of science or non-science track (p<.05). Third, in terms of the geological content knowledge, 24 pre-service teachers showed an increase, 12 students unchanged, and the 21 participants decreased. In contrast, per participants' self-confidence about the geological field trip, fifty three students indicated an increase with only one participant unchanged, and three preservice teachers decreased on the score. Finally, after the geological field trip, participants' comments indicated that they could feel the mystery of nature with the mind of a great experience. As a result, data showed that pre-service teachers became interested in geology, and motivated more in learning geological area than ever.

  • The purpose of this study was to verify the effect of mathematical disposition and attitude through the foster self-confidence and learning motivation by STAD cooperative learning. For this purpose, we made up an experimental class. And then we investigated the students' change in these aspects after the foster self-confidence and learning motivation by STAD cooperative learning. As a result of the experiment, we find that significant changes on the students' mathematical disposition and attitude utilizing the foster self-confidence and learning motivation by STAD cooperative learning. Therefore, in this study, I want to solve the particular problems that follow. First, what is the reaction of utilizing the foster self-confidence and learning motivation by STAD cooperative learning mathematical program for students? Is it effective utilizing the foster self-confidence and learning motivation by STAD cooperative learning to improve students' mathematical disposition? Third, does utilizing the foster self-confidence and learning motivation by STAD cooperative learning have a positive impact on students' mathematical attitude?

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of COVID 19. The effects of COVID 19 are grouped into 5; economic stress, mental stress, health stress, task concern, self-confidence. We introduce the concept of personal ambidexterity that is necessary power for cabin crews to provide appropriate and efficient service to passengers. Ambidexterity consists of exploiting existing resources to sustain and exploring the new including method of performing task, customer, market etc. The former is necessary to maintain present condition while the latter is necessary to prepare for the future. Also motive is considered as a stimulating factor for task. Previous studies show that motive affects ambidexterity and we try to analyze whether COVID 19 effects influence this relationship. Research design, data, and methodology: Considering the relationship between the variables, we designed to measure the influence of the effects of COVID 19 by analyzing the moderating effects of them. For empirical analysis we distributed survey questionnaire and collected. Total of 361 samples are used fo the analysis. For analysis program, SPSS version 23 was used. Regression analysis and moderating effect analysis were conducted. Results: Study results show that first, the variables of economic stress, mental stress, health stress, task concern, self confidence affects personal ambidexterity and service provision. Also ambidexterity affects service provision significantly. Among COVID 19 effects, economic stress, task concern, and self confidence has moderating effects. On the other hand, new work environment does not have moderating effect. Conclusions: In conclusion, the effects of COVID 19 are wide and various. Among them the most serious effect is that COVID 19 is depriving workers of self confidence and passion toward the work. To remedy stresses and restore self confidence and passion, each worker should make his/her own efforts, such as, learning more to become more competitive, also firms should do make efforts to protect employees and to rebuild trust between firm and employees in every respect. Especially firms should realize that economic stress can be treated by economic compensation as the situation turns to normal but trust as well as self confidence and passion is not easy to restore.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of a maternal self-efficacy promotion program for Korean primiparas on maternal confidence and mother-infant interaction. Method: This study was non-equivalent quasi-experimental research with a control group selected by purposive sampling. Based on Bandura’s (1986) self-efficacy theory, the research team developed the maternal self-efficacy promotion program. The program included achievement experiences, verbal persuasion, and vicarious experiences. The program was provided through face-to-face teaching at the time of discharge, counseling sessions over the telephone, and a home visit. Subjects also learned about parenting skills using a videotape developed by the research team. Sixteen primiparas were recruited to the experimental group at one hospital in Kyongi province, and fifteen primiparas who were matched according to socioeconomic status were recruited to the control group at a postpartum care center in the same province. Results: Subjects in the experimental group demonstrated significantly higher maternal confidence and mother-infant interaction than those in the control group. Conclusion: The maternal self-efficacy promotion program appears to be an effective nursing intervention for parenting of first-time mothers in Korea.

  • This study was attempted in order to examine about influence of knowledge and attitude toward CPR(Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) in elementary school students of some regions upon self-confidence. The aim is to be conducive to effective performance and self-confidence in CPR for cardiac arrest patients. We carried out targeting 381 elementary school students who attend 4 schools in J city and K city of J province from June 25 to July 15, 2009. The statistical processing was done by SPSS WIN 12.0 Version. The statistical significance was set to p<.05. As for correlation between variables of cardiopulmonary resuscitation characteristics with knowledge, attitude, and self-confidence, the appearance of acquiring information(r=.174, p<.01), the appearance of experiencing cardiopulmonary resuscitation(r=.143, p<.01), the appearance of educating cardiopulmonary resuscitation(r=.164, p<.01), necessity for education(r=.184, p<.01), knowledge(r=.342, p<.01), and attitude(r=.736, p<.01) showed correlation with self-confidence. As for influence of knowledge and attitude toward cardiopulmonary resuscitation upon self-confidence, the attitude($\beta=.703$, t=17.884, p<.01) had significant influence upon self-confidence. It is necessary to arrange educational program of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, to distribute effective manpower, and to provide elementary school students to cope with emergent situation.
