  • The objective of this study is to investigate proper cutting conditions of cellulose acetate(CA) for eyewear frames. Various cutting experiments with variation of spindle speeds and feed rates are conducted to evaluate the machinability of CA. The machinability of CA materials were discussed in terms of the cutting forces, surface roughnesses and chip formations. The cutting conditions of high spindle speeds and the feed per tooth of less than 0.05mm are recommended considering the surface roughnesses and chip formations. Also, the correlation between the surface roughness and the chip formation is investigated. These results are able to be applied to design the high-speed machine tool of CA frame.

  • This study examines a normative model of project management systems, PPMS, to provide information for directing R&D activity in order to increase R&D productivity. The PPMS (Project Process Management System) is a disciplined and systematic framework to manage R&D projects effectively and efficiently under the assumption of a strategic decision making and long-range planning. The purpose of PPMS is to provide for the management of research organization at different levels an effective management tool; first, for the planning system which deals with rational selection and authorization of R&D projects, second, for the control system which concerns monitoring and controlling the execution of R&D projects, and finally, for the evaluation system which attains evaluation of the performance results of R&D projects and determination of the necessary follow-up. A view for the future development of project management within the context of a project-performing organization is also elaborated to exhibit the progress and phase description of the project management system.

간호조직문화 측정도구 개발을 위한 연구 (The Development of the Nursing Organization Culture Measurement tool)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop a nursing organization culture measurement tool and to test the validity and reliability of the tool. Method: This study conducted in three phases. In phase 1, theoretical framework choice, Phase 2, measurement items selection, Phase 3, testing of validity and reliability. In order to test validity and reliability of the measurement, data were collected from 915 nurses, working in the 22 hospitals with more 500 beds. The data obtatined were analyzed by SPSS-Win 10.0 program using percentages, Factor Analysis, Cronbach's alpha Coefficients. Result: As a result of the study, nursing organization culture measurement scale was consisted of 20 items, 4 factors. 4 factor explained 60.54% of the total variance, and the Cronbach's alpha of this scale was .8829. Conclusions: The Study supports the validity and reliability of the scales. Therefore, this scale can be effectively utilized for the evaluation of nursing organization culture in hospital setting.

VE 기법을 이용한 토취장 선정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Selection of Borrow Pits by Using VE Techniques)

  • 본 연구에서는 Value Engineering 기법을 토취장 선정의 도구로 활용할 수 있는지의 여부를 검토하였다. 이를 위해 대규모 택지개발지역의 토취장 후보지들에 대한 지반조사 결과를 분석한 후 토취장 후보지들의 가채량을 산정하였으며, 토취장 후보지들의 VE 평가에는 가중치 부여 매트릭스평가법을 적용하였다. VE 평가를 위해 평가항목을 결정한 후 중요도를 산정하고 평가척도를 설정하였으며, 토취장 후보지에 대한 성능등급 및 성능평가를 수행하여 토취장 후보지들의 개발 우선순위를 결정하였다. 결과적으로 토취장 후보지들에 대한 상대공사비는 운반거리와 밀접한 관련이 있으며, 운반거리가 멀어질수록 상대공사비는 점차 증가하므로 운반거리가 토취장 선정에 있어 상당한 영향을 미친다는 것을 확인하였다. 또한 최적의 토취장 후보지를 선정하는데 있어 토취장 자체의 조건도 중요하지만, 생애주기비용의 영향을 무시할 수 없는 것으로 나타났다.

이용계수를 적용한 공공도서관 소설장서 평가 (Evaluation of the Fiction Collection of Public Libraries Based on Use Factor)

  • 본 연구는 이용계수를 적용하여 국내 공공도서관의 소설장서를 평가하고 장서개발기능을 제고시키기 위한 다양한 방안을 제시하였다. 그 결과, 한국문학은 언어별 문학에서의 장서구성 및 이용대출 비중이 각각 62.6%와 54.3%로 가장 높았음에도 불구하고 이용계수(0.87)는 기준값(1.00)보다 낮았다. 또한 한국현대소설은 한국소설의 세목별 장서구성 및 이용대출에서의 비중이 각각 65.60%와 51.36%로 가장 높음에도 이용계수(0.78)는 기준값보다 낮았고 연도별 이용계수도 최근 연도에 근접할수록 감소하고 있다. 그 이유는 장서개발이 부실하기 때문이다. 그러므로 공공도서관은 장서개발정책 및 소설장서개발지침의 수립, 소설자료선정위원회의 구성, 소설자료개발 전담사서제 도입, 소설자료 선정도구의 개발과 활용, 소설장서의 주기적 평가와 같은 방안의 도입을 적극적으로 검토할 필요가 있다.

퍼지회귀분석과 physical programming을 활용한 정보보호 도구 선정 통합 프레임워크 (An integrated framework of security tool selection using fuzzy regression and physical programming)

  • 근거리통신망과 인터넷으로부터 유입되는 정보보호 위협이 증가하는 상황에 대처하기 위하여, 많은 기업들이 정보보호 시스템 구축을 고려하고 있다. 기업 내 의사결정자의 정보보호 도구 선택을 지원하기 위하여, 본 논문은 선형퍼지회귀분석 및 physical programming을 이용하는 세 가지 단계로 구성된 통합 프레임워크를 제안하였다. 첫째, 정보보호도구 선정 기준 및 평가 기준에 대한 전문가들의 상대평가 의견을 바탕으로, 각 정보보호 기준들 간의 관계를 정량화시키기 위하여 analytic hierarchy process 및 quality function deployment 방법을 적용하였다. 그리고, 선형퍼지회귀분석법을 활용하여 각 기준별 평가값을 산출하였다. 마지막으로, 정보보호 시스템의 품질, 정보보호 수준, 비용 등의 다수 목적함수를 효과적으로 고려하기 위하여, physical programming weights 알고리즘을 통하여 도출된 가중치에 기반한 목표계획법을 활용하여 가장 적절한 정보보호 도구를 선정하였다. 이와 같은 과정은 구체적인 예제를 통해 단계별로 설명하고 그 장점을 가시적으로 제시하였다. 본 연구에서 제안한 방법은 전문가 제공 정보에서 발생 가능한 노이즈를 효과적으로 제거함으로써, 전문가의 경험을 통한 표준 정보보호 기준의 확보와 수학적 최적화 방법을 통한 정확성 확보의 장점을 의사결정자에게 제공할 것으로 기대된다.

산욕부와 신생아의 가정간호 사례연구 (A Case Study of Home Health Care for Postpartum Women and their Newborns)

  • Presently there is an increasing demand for home health care services due to changes in the demographic structure as a result of an increasing elderly population, socio-economic improvements, and changes in the family structure, as well as the growing number of people with degenerative diseases. In addition to these reasons, rising medical costs and there a shortage of patient beds space in the hospital, particularly since introduction of national medical insurance. There has been an increasing demand for health care health care services. This study was done to identify the basic data for home health care management. It focused on developing client selection criteria, assessment tools, and recording methods. This was accomplished by the researchers visiting the patients in their homes. The research process included preparation investigation, tool development, training of the project researcher, and visiting the clients in their homes. The research tools are as follows : 1. Record development : a) The selection criteria tool for home health care of postpartum women was a structured tool and consisted of four parts. b) The structured assessment tool consisted of a general items, obstetric history, past medical history, methods of feeding, medications taken before admission, laboratory test results, discharge instructions, discharge medications, family tree, economic status, environmental status, a map, health assessment of postpartum women and their newborns. c) The visit note I consisted of the frequency of visits. Visit note II consisted of the date ; nursing problems ; nursing process including the initial assessment ; nursing goal ; visit plan ; postpartum women and their neonate health status, diagnosis, goal, implementation, evaluation, summary, next plan, for visit revision. d) Problem note consisted of the date, problem numbers, nursing diagnosis, problem appearance date problem resolution date. The research results are as follows : 1. Nursing problems : The nursing problems of the postpartum women and their neonates were evaluated by the number of nursing diagnoses and the change in the pattern of nursing diagnosis related to the number of visits. a) Nursing diagnosis The nursing diagnosis was classified according to physical function, psychosocial function, family system maintained function. b) The changes of nursing diagnosis related to the number of visits. As the type of nursing diagnosis changed related to the number of visits the number of nursing diagnoses decreased. 2. Contents of home health care : The content was categorized according to assessment, direct care, counseling, education, family care, reporting to with the attending doctor. The recommendations based on the research results are as follows : 1. Tool development Replication of this study is needed to test the validity of the assessment tools used. 2. Home visit a) Home health care nurses should be licensed and qualified. A referral form from the attending doctor is needed for legal protection of nurses. b) The first home visit need to be within 24 hours of discharge from the hospital to decrease the anxiety of frightened postpartum women. c) When the changes occur in the newborn's status, home health care nurses should consult a pediatrician. Communication within the home healthcare team is essential and needs to consistent and done smoothly. 3. Home health care A Study is required to develop protocols for education of staff and for operation of all aspects of this program.

Selection of Plant Growth-Promoting Pseudomonas spp. That Enhanced Productivity of Soybean-Wheat Cropping System in Central India

  • The aim of this investigation was to select effective Pseudomonas sp. strains that can enhance the productivity of soybean-wheat cropping systems in Vertisols of Central India. Out of 13 strains of Pseudomonas species tested in vitro, only five strains displayed plant growth-promoting (PGP) properties. All the strains significantly increased soil enzyme activities, except acid phosphatase, total system productivity, and nutrient uptake in field evaluation; soil nutrient status was not significantly influenced. Available data indicated that six strains were better than the others. Principal component analysis (PCA) coupled cluster analysis of yield and nutrient data separated these strains into five distinct clusters with only two effective strains, GRP3 and HHRE81 in cluster IV. In spite of single cluster formation by strains GRP3 and HHRE81, they were diverse owing to greater intracluster distance (4.42) between each other. These results suggest that the GRP3 and HHRE81 strains may be used to increase the productivity efficiency of soybean-wheat cropping systems in Vertisols of Central India. Moreover, the PCA coupled cluster analysis tool may help in the selection of other such strains.

Therapeutic Strategies of the Intracranial Meningioma in Elderly Patients

  • Objective : The apparent increase in the incidence of the intracranial meningiomas in the elderly is due in part to improved diagnostic tools and improved span of life. The authors carried out a retrospect study to validate the use of the Clinical-Radiological Grading System [CRGS] as a clinical tool to orientate surgical decision making in elderly patients and to explore prognostic factors of survival. Methods : From January 1997 to January 2006, the authors consecutively recruited and surgically treated 20 patients older than 65 years of age with radiologic findings of intracranial meningiomas and a preoperative evaluation based on the CRGS. Results : High CRGS score was associated with a higher probability of good outcome [p=0.004] and a lower probability of postoperative complications [p=0.049]. Among the different subset items of the CRGS score, larger maximum tumor diameters [$D{\geqq}4cm$] and the presence of a severe peritumoral edema were associated with incidence rate of postoperative poor outcome and complications [p<0.05]. Additionally, the critical location of the tumor was also correlated with poor outcome [p<0.05]. Conclusion : A CRGS score higher than 13 is a good prognostic indication of survival. The CRGS score is a useful and practical tool for the selection of elderly patients affected by intracranial meningiomas as surgical candidates.

와우 갑각 전기자극 뇌간유발반응용 원추형 전극의 개발 (Development of Cone-Shaped Electrode for Promontory Stimulation Electrically Auditory Brainstem Response)

  • This paper introduces a new zinc coated copper wire electrode with coiled cone shape which has low surface resistance and tolerance to the motion artifact for promontory stimulation electrically auditory brainstem responses (PSEABR). Auditory brainstem responses (ABR) can be used to predict hearing threshold level with a great deal of accuracy particularly for a young child who cannot cooperate mechanically and some hearing impaired who are exaggerating a hearing loss for economic compensation. While severe profound sensorineural hearing losses may not be implemented by auditory potentials, PSEABR is proven as a useful tool even for some sensorineural related hearing impaired. It was shown that PSEABR gives the electrical stimuli to promontory of the cochlear instead of giving acoustic stimuli. For this reason, PSEABR can be used as an alternative for cochlear implantation, and can also be used as an optimal device selection and neural information for MAP. It was found that the role of electrode is very important in PSEABR. Even though this cone-shaped electrode was applied in animal experiments, waveforms are well produced by PSEABR. Thus, it was concluded that cone-shaped electrode turned out to be a useful preoperative audiological evaluation tool in deciding time for cochlear implantation surgery.
