복층터널 내부슬래브의 연결형식에 관한 수치해석적 연구 (Numerical study on the connection type of inner-slab in double deck tunnel)

  • 본 연구에서는 쉴드 TBM에 의한 대심도 복층터널의 계획 시 세그먼트 라이닝의 거동을 주요 구조물인 내부 슬래브의 연결구조 형식에 따라 검토하였다. 복층터널의 내부슬래브와 세그먼트 라이닝 설계 요구조건을 정립하기 위하여 용도에 따라 내부 구조물의 형식을 정의하고, 터널 라이닝과 내부 슬래브의 연결구조를 비교하였다. 그리고 MIDAS Civil 2012 프로그램으로 빔-스프링 모델을 이용하여 수치해석을 수행하였다. 본 연구결과 중간슬래브 및 하부슬래브, 내부슬래브와 세그먼트 라이닝의 연결 형식 그리고 측압계수들은 복층터널 계획시 주요 설계사항임을 확인하였다.

해체가 용이한 세그먼트형 이중벽 모노파일에 대한 수치해석 연구 (Numerical Investigation of Segment Type Double-wall Monopile for Easy Decommissioning)

  • Conventionally, a monopile that has reached the end of its design life is required to be removed. While monopiles have been left on site due to economic and technical reasons, cases of decommissioning monopoles have recently been reported, and a decommissioning market is emerging. This paper introduces a new type of monopile with decreased pull-out resistance by prior lifting up of a wedge segment installed on the outer wall of the monopile; consequently, the monopile can be dismantled easily from the operation site. The study conducted several numerical investigations, using finite element analysis, of the effect of segment pull-out for the monopile. After pulling out several segment sizes in the numerical model represented by soil element deletion corresponding to the segment volumes, the pull-out forces were compared to those of the conventional monopile. The results showed that for a segment with a thickness of 5 cm and circumferential angle of 30°, the pull-out resistance of the proposed monopile was reduced by 32.5% relative to that of a conventional monopile. Also, the results indicated that an increase in the segment angle was a more effective way to reduce resistance than that of the thickness.

  • A novel segment type switched reluctance motor (SRM) as a rare-earth-less motor is proposed. The torque was increased by 40% and the radial force was decreased by 76% compared with the same size usual variable reluctance (VR) type SRM. Increasing the average torque, however, caused increasing torque ripple. In this paper we develop a 4-phase segment type SRM and show that the torque ripple can be decreased well.

동작(動作)에 따른 체표면변화부위(體表面變化部位)의 모색(摸索)에 관한 인간공학적(人間工學的) 연구(硏究) - 하반신(下半身)을 중심(中心)으로 - (An Ergonomic Study on the Search of Body Surface Area Changed by Movements -In the Lower Trunk and Leg-)

  • The Purposes of this study were 1)to find the body surface total line and segment line significantly(${\alpha}$=0.05) changed by the leg movement including all movement direction of hip joint, knee joint and ankle joint for the more functional clothing. 2)to classify them into 3 types-expansion type, contraction type, expansion & contraction type, and 3)to identify the characteristics of the body surface length changes. 10 Crosswise and 5 lengthwise body surface total lines and 48 crosswise & 39 lengthwise body surface segment lines of 26 female college students aged from 18 to 24 years were measured directly on the body surface and were analyzed by ANOVA & Multiple Comparison Test (Tukey). The results were as following : Body surface total lines significantly changed were all the body surface total lines except abdoman girth, 1/2thigh girth of lower leg and ankle girth, and these were classified into 3 types : Center front leg line belonged to expansion & contraction type, whereas lateral leg line, legscye girth, and total crotch length belonged to contraction type. The rest belonged to expansion type. Knee girth showed maximum expansion, whereas center front leg line showed maximum contraction. Body surface total lines have shown large expansion crosswise whereas lengthwise they have mainly shown contraction. At least more than one component segment line of each body surface total lines except abdoman girth and ankle girth have shown significant change. Top segment of inner leg line showed maximum expansion. whereas just below top segment of center front leg line showed maximum contraction. Crosswise all the body surface segment lines have shown expansion except inner back segments of thigh girth and 1/2thigh girth of upper leg which have shown contraction. Lengthwise they have shown both expansion and contraction according to the location of front or back, and below or upper 1/2thigh girth line except the component segment lines of lateral leg line, which has shown contraction only.(cf. figure 2. figure 3. and table 2-2).

  • This paper describes an optimal design technology in a segment type vertical guide bearing for vertical rotating machinery. Segment type vertical guide bearings have widely used for vertical rotating machinery, however bearing problems, such as excessive vibration and temperature rise, frequently take place in the actual machine. Such excessive vibration magnitude and/or abnormal bearing metal temperature rise result in serious damage and economic losses. Thus the segment type vertical guide bearing should be designed to get optimal characteristics in order to maintain stable operation without bearing failure due to abnormal vibration and/or abnormal bearing metal temperature. The preload ratio is the most important parameter in designing the segment type vertical guide bearing. Because adjustment of the bearing preload by changing the bearing clearance could easily control both the bearing stiffness and the cooling effect. In the paper, the influence of the preload effects on the bearing metal temperature and the bearing stiffness has been investigated both theoretically and experimentally in order to find out an optimum preload ratio. Results show that the segment type vertical guide bearing has an optimum preload ratio at which the bearing stiffness reaches a masimum value while the bearing metal temperature is minimized.

수직 평판 요소의 수중동요 근사해와 설계 적용 (Approximate Solution of Vertical Wave Board Oscillating in Submerged Condition and Its Design Application)

  • The segment of the piston type wave board has been expressed as a submerged vertical line segment in the two dimensional wave flume. Either end of vertical line segment representing wave board could be located in fluid domain from free surface to the bottom of the flume. Naturally the segment could be extended from the bottom to the free surface of the flume. It is assumed that the piston motion of the wave board could be defined by the sinusoidal oscillation in horizontal direction. Simplified analytic solution of the submerged segment of wave board has been derived through the first order perturbation method in water of finite depth. The analytic solution has been utilized in expressing the wave generated by the piston type wave board installed on the upper or lower half of the flume. The wave form derived by the analytic solution have been compared with the wave profile obtained through the CFD calculation for the either of the above cases. It is appeared that the wave length and the wave height are coincided each other between analytic solution and CFD calculation. However the wave form obtained by CFD calculations are more closer to real wave form than those from analytic calculation. It is appeared that the linear solutions could be not only superposed by segment but also integrated by finite elements without limitation. Finally it is proven that the wave generated by the oscillation of flap type wave board could be derived by integrating the wave generated by the sinusoidal motion of the finite segment of the piston type wave board.

Phonetic Approach or Phonological Approach: Syntax-prosody Interface in Seoul Korean

  • There are two different approaches in studying mapping between syntactic structure and prosody, the 'phonetic approach' and the 'phonological approach'. An experiment to examine which approach is more valid was conducted. In the experiment, syntactically ambiguous Seoul Korean sentences in each of which a noun immediately after an adjective starts with either an H-segment (a segment which triggers the AP-initial H tone) or an L-segment (a segment other than H-segments) were recorded. by 3 Seoul Korean speakers. The F0 values in the syllables containing the consonants in question were then measured. The results show that interaction between the segment type and the branching structure is statistically significant. which suggests that it is difficult to use the phonetic .approach to generalize the relationship between syntax and prosody. Thus, it is concluded that the phonological approach is more valid.

워드이미지로부터 영문인식을 위한 트루타입 특성 추출 (Deriving TrueType Features for Letter Recognition in Word Images)

  • In the work presented here, we describe a method to extract TrueType features for supporting letter recognition. Even if variously existing document processing techniques have been challenged, almost few methods are capable of recognize a letter associated with its TrueType features supporting OCR free, which boost up fast processing time for image text retrieval. By reviewing the mechanism generating digital fonts and birth of TrueType, we realize that each TrueType is drawn by its contour of the glyph table. Hence, we are capable of deriving the segment with density for a letter with a specific TrueType, defined by the number of occurrence over a segment width. A certain number of occurrence appears frequently often due to the fixed segment width. We utilize letter recognition by comparing TrueType feature library of a letter with that from input word images. Experiments have been carried out to justify robustness of the proposed method showing acceptable results.

  • 본 논문에서는 최근 들어 본격적인 연구개발이 활성화되고 있는 무선 데이터 통신서비스를 근간으로 한 미세정보 감시 시스템(RMIMS: radio interfaced micro information monitoring system or MICROS: micro information and communication remote object-oriented system)에 대한 QoS(quality of service, ex: packet loss)를 보장하는 새로운 움직이는 다중 기지국(multiple IS-MMBS) 서비스 방법을 제안하였다. MMBS 서비스 지역에서 실시간 트래픽 형태의 RMIMS 터미널 응용서비스가 발생하거나 서비스 지역에 배치되는 RMIMS 터미널 수의 증가 또는 높은 전송대역폭을 요구하는 RMIMS 응용서비스 등으로 인하여 하나의 IS-MMBS 만으로는 기 서비스 중인 RMIMS 터미널 및 신규RMIMS 터미널에 대한 패킷 손실 여부 같은 QoS를 만족하는 서비스가 불가능한 경우가 발생한다. 이러한 경우에 다중 IS-MMBS을 이용하여 RMIMS 터미널의 QoS를 보장하는 MMBS 서비스를 제공할 수 있다. 제안한 다중 IS-MMBS 서비스 모드는 RMIMS 클러스터링 방법과 MMBS 세그먼트(segment) 방법에 따라 터미널 분할방법(terminal segment method), 영역 분할방법(region segment method ), 응용서비스별 분할방법(application based segment method), 트래픽 타입별 분할방법(traffic type based method), 중첩 분할방법(overlapping segment method), 복합 분할방법(hybrid segment method)으로 분류 제안하였다.

구매속성에 의한 태국 김 시장세분화에 관한 연구 (A Study on Thai Seaweed Market Segmentation by Purchasing Attributes)

  • The aim of this study is to examine profiles of consumers in Thai seaweed market segments. A total of 321 consumers were surveyed in bangkok, thailand. The multiple regression analysis performed indicates that consumer preference toward seaweed snack is significantly influenced by seaweed consumption frequency. The cluster analysis performed indicates that there are three segments based on consumer purchasing attributes toward seaweed snack : leading type, pursuing type, beginner type. The results show that there are consumer segment with different purchasing attributes level and seaweed preference. in this study Thai seaweed market's biggest consumer is leading type consumer(n=40.8%) that have high level of purchasing attributes toward seaweed snack when compared to other segments. pursuing type segment(n=27.4%) consists of consumers who have low level of purchasing attributes but have high consumption frequency. beginner type segment(n=31.8%) consists of consumers who rarely eat seaweed snack and have high price sensitivity. This study can inform Thai seaweed consumer's behavior and effective segment market strategies and target consumer based on purchasing behavior toward seaweed snack.
