  • The utilization of NFC has been continuously increasing due to the spread of smart phones and the development of short-range wireless communication networks. However, it has been suggested that stability and security of convenient NFC short-range wireless communications can be unstable and problematic. The unstable causes for NFC are the lack of security technologies for NFC, the controversy about personal information infringement, and the lack of social awareness on security breach against data settlement. NFC service can be conveniently used by simply touching other NFC devices and NFC tags through the NFC device. This thesis analyzes that NFC authentication technology, which is convenient for user are one of the unstable causes of security of NFC. This thesis suggest that ministry should research countermeasures and promote how users can use NFC safely. It also suggests that users should have awareness when they use payment and authentication service through NFC to prevent from security threat.

  • Currently, cyberattacks and security threats are constantly evolving, and organizations need quick and efficient security response methods. This paper proposes ways to strengthen internal network security by utilizing Unified Threat Management (UTM) equipment to improve network security and effectively manage and analyze the log data of the internal network collected through these equipment using Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, hereinafter referred to as ELK Stack).

  • When sensor networks are deployed in open environments, all the sensor nodes are vulnerable to physical threat. An attacker can physically capture a sensor node and obtain the security information including the keys used for data authentication. An attacker can easily inject false reports into the sensor network through the compromised node. False report can lead to not only false alarms but also the depletion of limited energy resource in battery powered sensor networks. To overcome this threat, Fan Ye et al. proposed that statistical on-route filtering scheme(SEF) can do verify the false report during the forwarding process. In this scheme, the choice of a security threshold value is important since it trades off detection power and energy, where security threshold value is the number of message authentication code for verification of false report. In this paper, we propose a fuzzy rule-based system for security threshold determination that can conserve energy, while it provides sufficient detection power in the SEF based sensor networks. The fuzzy logic determines a security threshold by considering the probability of a node having non-compromised keys, the number of compromised partitions, and the remaining energy of nodes. The fuzzy based threshold value can conserve energy, while it provides sufficient detection power.

  • The numerous improved schemes of remote user authentication based on password have been proposed in order to overcome the security weakness in user authentication process. Recently, some of biometric-based user authentication schemes to use personal biometric information have been introduced and they have shown the relatively higher security and the enhanced convenience as compared to traditional password-based schemes. These days wireless sensor network is a fundamental technology in face of the ubiquitous era. The wireless sensor networks to collect and process the data from sensor nodes in increasing high-tech applications require important security issues to prevent the data access from the unauthorized person. Accordingly, the research to apply to the user authentication to the wireless sensor networks has been under the progress. In 2010, Yuan et al. proposed a biometric-based user authentication scheme to be applicable for wireless sensor networks. Yuan et al. claimed that their scheme is effectively secure against the various security flaws including the stolen verifier attack. In this paper, author will prove that Yuan et al.'s scheme is still vulnerable to the password guessing attack, user impersonation attack and the replay attack, by analyzing their security weakness.

  • In recent years, many mobile wireless communication devices and applications have been deployed on the planet. The mobile multi-hop wireless network models appeared to provide means to access to networks where few infrastructure exists. However, the mobile multi-hop wireless networks have weaker points in attacks and intrusions than the wired and one-hop wireless networks. In this paper, the secure routing issues in most mobile multi-hop wireless network models are surveyed in depth. The state-of-the-art technologies and research activities are explained. Finally, the issues and technologies for the secure routing specific to a maritime network model are sufficiently discussed as conclusions.

  • Data security is the planning, implementation and implementation of security policies and procedures for the proper audit and authorization of access to and use of data and information assets. In addition, data serviced through internal / external networks, servers, applications, etc. are the core objects of information protection and can be said to focus on the protection of data stored in DB and DB in the category of information security of database and data. This study is a preliminary study to design a proper Data Security Management System (DSMS) model based on the data security certification system and the US Federal Security Management Act (FISMA). And we study the major security certification systems such as ISO27001 and NIST's Cybersecurity Framework, and also study the state of implementation in the data security manager solution that is currently implemented as a security platform for preventing personal data leakage and strengthening corporate security.

  • VANET(Vehicular Ad-hoc Network) is a kind of ad hoc networks consist of intelligence vehicular ad nodes, and has become a hot emerging research project in many fields. It provide traffic safety, cooperative driving and etc. but has also some security problems that can be occurred in general ad hoc networks. Also, in VANET, vehiculars sho uld be able to authenticate each other to securely communicate with network-based infrastructure, and their location s and identifiers should not be exposed from the communication messages. This paper explains V2I authentication pr otocol using a hash function that preserves the user privacy. In addition, we analyze the security stability of the V2I authentication protocol using Casper in the formal verification technique. As a result, V2I authentication protocol us ing hash function prove a stability.

  • In an underlay cognitive simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (SWIPT) network, communication from secondary user (SU) to secondary destination (SD) is accomplished with decode-and-forward (DF) relays. Multiple energy-constrained relays are assumed to harvest energy from SU via power splitting (PS) protocol and complete SU secure information transmission with beamforming. Hence, physical layer security (PLS) is investigated in cognitive SWIPT network. In order to interfere with eavesdropper and improve relay's energy efficiency, a destination-assisted jamming scheme is proposed. Namely, SD transmits artificial noise (AN) to interfere with eavesdropping, while jamming signal can also provide harvested energy to relays. Beamforming vector and power splitting ratio are jointly optimized with the objective of SU secrecy capacity maximization. We solve this non-convex optimization problem via a general two-stage procedure. Firstly, we obtain the optimal beamforming vector through semi-definite relaxation (SDR) method with a fixed power splitting ratio. Secondly, the best power splitting ratio can be obtained by one-dimensional search. We provide simulation results to verify the proposed solution. Simulation results show that the scheme achieves the maximum SD secrecy rate with appropriate selection of power splitting ratio, and the proposed scheme guarantees security in cognitive SWIPT networks.

  • This paper proposes a location-based key management scheme in wireless sensor networks, and among the existing location-based key management techniques, we focused on the LDK (Location Dependent Key management). In order to improve the problems occurred by communication interference, we introduced the key revision process and the method of key establishment using grid information. According to the simulation of this scheme, it increased connectivity while decreased compromise ratio than those of the previous LDK, futhermore, we confirmed that a hexagon distribution of AN reduces the network cost.

  • This paper presents an application of artificial neural networks(ANN) to assess the dynamic security of power systems. The basic role of ANN is to provide assessment of the system's stability based on training samples from off-line analysi. The critical clearing time(CCT) is an attribute which provides significant information about the quality of the post-fault system behaviour. The function of ANN is a mapping of the pre-fault, fault-on, and post-fault system conditions into the CCT's. In previous work, a feed forward neural network is used to learn this mapping by using the generation outputs during the fault as the input data. However, it takes significant calculation time to make the input data through the network reduction at a fault as the input data. However, it takes significant calculation time to make the input data through the network reduction at a fault considered. In order to enhance the speed of security assessment, the bus data and line powers are used as the input data of the ANN in thil paper. Test results show that the proposed neural networks have the reasonable accuracy and can be used in on-line security assenssment efficiently.
