  • In this paper, I investigate the performances of the discovery and the message transmission of the DDS (Data Distribution Service) included the security function. The DDS serves the communication protocol, a publication- subscription method, for the real-time communication in the distributed system. The publication-subscription method is used in the various area in terms of defence, traffic and medical due to the strength such as a performance, scailability and availability. Nowadays, many communication standard has included and re-defined the security function to prepare from dramatically increased a threat of the security, the DDS also publishes the standard included the security function. But it had been not researched that the effect of increased a overhead for legacy systems due to the using of the security DDS function. The experimental results show that the comparative performance of legacy DDS and security DDS in terms of the discovery and the message transmission.

  • Recently, there has been an increasing number of cases in which important data (personal information, technology, etc.) of national and public institutions are leaked to the outside world. Surveys show that the largest cause of such leakage accidents is "insiders." Insiders of organization with the most authority can cause more damage than technology leaks caused by external attacks due to the organization. This is due to the characteristics of insiders who have relatively easy access to the organization's major assets. This study aims to present an optimized property selection model for detecting such abnormalities through supervised learning algorithms among machine learning techniques using actual data such as CrossNet data transfer system transmission log, e-mail transmission log, and personnel information, which safely transmits data between separate areas (security area and non-security area) of the business network and the Internet network.

  • To provede public services through Internet, there are several prerequisites such as security issue resolutions for public area installation and hardware support for authorized signatures etc. in addition to web-based system development. A kiosk-based system is a right solution for public services provision through Internet because a kiosk has hardware features supporting authorized signatures and also it can be installed at public area through Internet without security exposure, meeting security guidelines of National Intelligence Service. The process to provide public services through a koisk is that a client requests a kind of public services selecting menu through the kiosk, then the system issues a civil service documents after taking authentification and payment process. To support those kinds o processes it is required to support electronic payment using SMART card in addition to cash payment and to apply government standard security guidelines to protect administrative and personal information. This kiosk-based Internet public service system support and meet those all requirements.

  • As the network composed of numerous sensor nodes, sensor network conducts the function of sensing the surrounding information by sensor and of the sensed information. The concept of the battlefield is also changing to one that includes not only physical spaces but all areas including the networks of the nation's key industries and military facilities, energy facilities, transportation, and communication networks. In light of the changing warfare in terms of how it is conducted and what form it takes, the Korea military has to seek ways to effectively respond to threats of cyber warfare. In the past, although partial strategies on cyber warfare were studied, no research was done through the overall system flow. In this paper, key variables related to cyber warfare security are classified into personnel, management, and technology. A simple model and an extended model are suggested for each area, and based on the technology area of the extended model, formal methods are used to verify the validity and a detailed response strategy is suggested according to the identified leverage.

  • Now a days, the development of TV and internet like communicational technique makes IPTV service which combines internet with multimedia contents increase. But when a user gets service in specific place, the certification process and user's ID check in IPTV service is complicate so that there occurs communicational difficulty like increasing illegal users and service delay etc. This paper proposes communication security mechanism to prevent Clone attack which happens in wireless section by efficiently extracting illegal user. The proposed mechanism performs key distribution procedure, inter certification procedure, and key initiation procedure by putting security agent in RFID-USB for RFID tags users use to perform plug-and-plug function. Also, the proposed mechanism updates the hased token value by its ID and the random number which RFID-USB creates whenever a user accesses in the area of RFID-USB so that it protects reply attack and man-in-the-middle attack which happen often in the area of wireless section.

  • The integrated underground space map system provides information on infrastructure that requires security, but to prevent rupture accidents during excavation work at the underground construction site, it must provide information on all underground facilities on the site. Providing additional information other than the object of interest to the user is a factor that increases the risk of information leakage of security data. In this paper, we design the visualization filtering method that when visualizing the integrated underground space map in the field, the visualization of entire underground facilities of interest to workers is performed, but visualization of other underground facilities is minimized to minimize the risk of security data information leakage. To this end, a visualization area of a certain distance for each of the underground facilities of interest was created, and an integrated visualization filter was created with spatial union operation. When the integrated underground map is output on the screen, only the objects located within the filter area are visualized using the generated filter information, and objects that exist outside are not visualized, thereby minimizing the provision of information to the user.

  • This study is situated in the context of intelligent transport systems, where in-vehicle devices assist drivers to avoid accidents and therefore improve road safety. The vehicles present in a given area form an ad' hoc network of vehicles called vehicular ad' hoc network. In this type of network, the nodes are mobile vehicles and the messages exchanged are messages to warn about obstacles that may hinder the correct driving. Node mobilities make it impossible for inter-node communication to be end-to-end. Recognizing this characteristic has led to delay-tolerant vehicular networks. Embedded devices have small buffers (memory) to hold messages that a node needs to transmit when no other node is within its visibility range for transmission. The performance of a vehicular delay-tolerant network is closely tied to the successful management of the nodes' transit buffer. In this paper, we propose a message transit buffer management model for nodes in vehicular delay tolerant networks. This model consists in setting up, on the one hand, a policy of dropping messages from the buffer when the buffer is full and must receive a new message. This drop policy is based on the concept of intermediate node to destination, queues and priority class of service. It is also based on the properties of the message (size, weight, number of hops, number of replications, remaining time-to-live, etc.). On the other hand, the model defines the policy for selecting the message to be transmitted. The proposed model was evaluated with the ONE opportunistic network simulator based on a 4000m x 4000m area of downtown Bouaké in Côte d'Ivoire. The map data were imported using the Open Street Map tool. The results obtained show that our model improves the delivery ratio of security alert messages, reduces their delivery delay and network overload compared to the existing model. This improvement in communication within a network of vehicles can contribute to the improvement of road safety.

  • Cryptographic application and coding theory require operations in finite field $GF(2^m)$. In such a field, the area and time complexity of implementation estimate by memory and time delay. Therefore, the effort for constructing an efficient multiplier in finite field have been proceeded. Massey-Omura proposed a multiplier that uses normal bases to represent elements $CH(2^m)$ [11] and Agnew at al. suggested a sequential multiplier that is a modification of Massey-Omura's structure for reducing the path delay. Recently, Rayhani-Masoleh and Hasan and S.Kwon at al. suggested a area efficient multipliers for modifying Agnew's structure respectively[2,3]. In [2] Rayhani-Masoleh and Hasan proposed a modified multiplier that has slightly increased a critical path delay from Agnew at al's structure. But, In [3] S.Kwon at al. proposed a modified multiplier that has no loss of a time efficiency from Agnew's structure. In this paper we will propose a multiplier by modifying Rayhani-Masoleh and Hassan's structure and the area-time complexity of the proposed multiplier is exactly same as that of S.Kwon at al's structure for type-II optimal normal basis.

  • As the role and the importance of private security are emphasized in an independent way, as well as in a supportive way for police affairs, this study aims to figure out factors affecting job satisfaction of private security guards by investigating their job satisfaction. This study also suggests some solutions for improvement of their job satisfaction, such as enhancing task motivation and professionalism of private security guards. For the research were used SPSS(Statistical Package for the Social Science) WIN 24 programs. Frequency analysis, correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis and Crosstabulation analysis were performed as analytic methods. As a result of the study, the most fundamental factor in the job satisfaction of the private security guards was 'social recognition'. Social recognition forms when private security guards are trusted as professionals and the value of a job is enhanced. The policy recommendations to improve the job satisfaction of private security guards can be explained as follows. First, a government certification system should be established in an attempt to recruit professional private security guards. Second, in order to improve the work ability of private security guards, it is necessary to designate a special educational institution for a private security guards and provide systematic education. Third, the wage of private security guards should be readjusted to a realistic level. Fourth, it is necessary to secure substantial effect on the permission and the supervision of private security business. Finally, the business area based on public interest should be expanded.

  • The problem is that even though the cost of apartment buildings and general expenses are the same and similar tasks, there is a significant gap between them in quantity and quality. The apartment security guard needs more professional management in education and various reporting obligations. In particular, the reality of being away from the management and supervision of the National Police Agency, which is in charge of crime prevention and policing resources throughout the nation, is a task that needs to be improved quickly. Although the "security service" is a specialized area for protecting the lives and property of the people, it is managed and operated only in the category of apartment management, just because it is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. This should be integrated into one cost-related law, such as the "Cost Business Act," for management and operation. Although the regulations concerning security guards under the "Joint Housing Management Act" are very limited, they should start discussing the integrated management of apartment security guards and general security guards in view of improvement of their treatment. The most realistic method would be to hire a new general security officer with a security law as a security guard in an apartment building.
