초등 과학영재 학생의 과학 학업 열정 및 과학 긍정 경험과 과학적 창의성의 관계 (Relationship between Science Academic Passion, Positive Experience about Science and Scientific Creativity in Elementary Science-Gifted Students)

  • 이 연구에서는 초등 과학영재 학생의 과학 학업 열정 및 과학 긍정 경험과 과학적 창의성의 관계를 탐색하였다. 이를 위해 초등 3~6학년 과학영재 학생 108명을 선정하여 과학 학업 열정 검사, 과학 긍정경험 검사, 과학적 창의성 검사를 실시한 뒤, 기술통계분석과 상관분석 및 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 연구 대상 초등 과학영재 학생의 과학 학업 열정과 과학 긍정 경험은 비교적 높은 수준이었지만, 과학적 창의성은 비교적 높지 않은 수준이었다. 과학 학업 열정 전체는 과학적 창의성과 통계적으로 유의미한 상관이 없었지만, 5가지 하위 영역(중요함, 좋아함, 시간/에너지 투자, 조화열정, 강박열정) 중 '강박열정'에서는 과학적 창의성과 통계적으로 유의미한 부적 상관이 있었다. 또한 과학 학업 열정의 5가지 하위 영역, 특히 '좋아함', '조화열정', '강박열정'은 과학적 창의성에 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 하지만 과학 긍정 경험의 5가지 하위 영역(과학 학습 정서, 과학 관련 자아개념, 과학 학습 동기, 과학 관련 진로 포부, 과학 관련 태도)은 과학적 창의성과 통계적으로 유의미한 상관이 없었을 뿐만 아니라, 과학적 창의성에 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치지 못하였다. 또한 과학 학업 열정 전체와 과학 긍정 경험 전체는 과학적 창의성에 통계적으로 유의미한 영향력이 없었다. 이러한 결과에 대한 교육적 시사점을 논하였다.

초등 과학 학습지도에서 포트폴리오 평가의 효과 (Effect of Portfolio Assessment in Elementary Science Teaching)

  • The Purpose of this study is to find the effects of the portfolio assessment on elementary students' scientific knowledge, inquiry process skill, scientific attitudes in the teaching of science. And finally the parents' response to the portfolio assessment is also investigated. In order to reach the goal of this study, the investigator developed the evaluation instrument such as an experimental report and a cumulative observation sheet for the 4th-grade Unit-1 'Light Propagation' and Unit-3 'Separating Mixtures', and then these were administered to 42 4th-grade elementary students in Inchon. Based upon the findings and within the limitations of this study, several conclusions can be drawn regarding the problems investigated. First, as the portfolio assessment offers enough information about individual student's performance, it has a highly positive effect on evaluating the students' scientific knowledges. It can also make possible to grasp the several aspects of the student's progress. Second, the portfolio assessment can be implemented without giving students any psychological pressure from testing itself. Therefore, the portfolio assessment is an effective means of appraising inquiry process skills. Third, the portfolio assessment is effective to evaluate the students' attitude toward science by means of individual records which include such aspects that is hardly found by the teacher who teaches science in the class. Fourth, as most parents showed a positive response to this portfolio assessment, it is considered to be effective method of appraising the result of teaching science at elementary school. Accordingly, this study demonstrated that the portfolio assessment is an effective method that can assess students' scientific knowledges, inquiry process skills, and scientific attitudes gained from science teaching-learning. Therefore, it is necessary to implement the portfolio assessment to other grade students as well in the following study where teacher may give more encouragements and suggestions to sti dents for the better learning motives. Also teachers should suggest more definite evaluation criteria to students so that they may improve the students' self and peer evaluation skills.

과학만화 독서가 초등학생의 과학 흥미도, 학업성취도 및 과학적 태도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Science Cartoon Reading on the Levels of Interest in Science, the Academic Achievements and the Scientific Attitudes of Elementary Students)

  • Various data and methods are necessary to help students understand the science subject, and have interest in it. Most students like cartoons, and more easily memorize their contents. The purpose of this study was to verify the effects of science cartoon reading on the academic achiements, the levels of interests in science and scientific attitudes of elementary students The study subjects were four classes of the 6th grade of G elementary school in U city. Two classes were experimental group and the others were comparison group. The students of the experimental classes were encouraged to read science cartoon related to class contents at the beginning and ending for 5 minutes respectively in instructional time. And those of the comparison classes received general science lesson. The results of this study were as follows. First, the experimental classes encouraged to read science cartoon marked higher average score than comparison classes in post-test and the difference was meaningful (p<.05). This meant science cartoon reading treatment had the effect of improvement of the levels of interest in science of student. Second, the experimental classes marked higher average score than comparison classes in post-test but didn't show meaningful difference. This meant science cartoon reading treatment didn't have the effect of improvement of academic achievement of students in our study. Third, the experimental classes marked higher average score than comparison classes in post-test and showed the meaningful difference(p<.05). This meant science cartoon reading treatment had the effect of improvement of scientific attitudes of students. From the results thus far, we could tell that science cartoon reading had positive effects on the levels of interest in science and scientific attitudes of students in our study.

비계 설정으로서의 언어적 비유 활동이 초등학생의 과학 학업 성취도와 과학 태도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Verbal Analogy Activities as Scaffolding on the Science Achievement and Science Attitude of Elementary Students)

  • The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of verbal analogy activities on science achievement and science attitude of elementary students. Students consolidated lessons by making short sentences with core words that a teacher gave for scaffolding instruction. Many researches about analogies have been conducted in science education. However, most of them considered analogy as learning tools, whereas this research considers analogy as a cognitive process. To see the effects of verbal analogy activities, two groups were selected from 6th grade elementary school students; one was an experimental group working with the student-generated verbal analogy and the other was a control group with teacher-centered and textbook-centered activities. Science achievement, scientific attitudes, attitudes toward science and retention were tested after the treated lessons.

다문화 가정 부모의 성 역할태도가 부모-자녀관계에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Parent's Sex-role Attitude on Parent-child Relationship in Multicultural Families)

  • 이 연구는 다문화 가정의 어머니와 아버지의 성 역할태도가 부모-자녀관계의 질에 미치는 자기효과와 상대방효과를 살펴보기 위한 서술적 인과관계 연구이다. 본 연구에서는 다문화 가정 부모의 커플자료 분석을 위해 여성가족부의 2015년 전국다문화가족실태조사 대상 중 만 5세 이하 자녀를 두고, 결혼이주여성과 한국인 남성으로 구성된 5,531쌍의 자료를 활용하였다. 자료 분석을 위해 SPSS 20.0과 AMOS 20.0 통계프로그램을 사용하였으며, 구조모형 검증 방법에 기초한 자기-상대방 상호의존모형(Actor-Partner Interdependence Model, APIM) 분석방법을 활용하였다. 분석 결과, 첫째, 어머니와 아버지 모두 성 역할태도가 부모-자녀관계에 미치는 자기효과가 확인되었다. 즉, 어머니와 아버지 모두 평등한 성 역할태도를 가질수록 긍정적인 부모-자녀관계를 형성하는 것으로 나타났다. 자기효과 간 크기 비교 결과, 어머니보다는 아버지의 경우 성 역할 태도가 부모-자녀관계에 더 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 둘째, 아버지의 성 역할태도는 어머니-자녀관계에 영향을 미치는 상대방효과가 있는 반면, 어머니의 성 역할태도가 아버지-자녀관계에 미치는 상대방효과는 통계적인 유의성이 없는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 어머니와 아버지 모두 상대방효과 보다는 자기효과가 더 큰 것으로 확인되었다. 이는 배우자의 성 역할태도 보다는 자신의 성 역할태도가 부모-자녀관계에 더 큰 영향을 미침을 의미한다. 본 연구 결과는 다문화 가정의 부모를 대상으로 한 부모 교육 시 평등한 성 역할태도 교육의 중요성을 시사한다. 특히 본 연구는 아버지의 경우에도 평등한 성 역할태도가 긍정적 자녀관계를 촉진할 수 있다는 경험과학적 증거를 확인했다는 의의가 있다.

인공위성 자세제어용 Magnetic Torquer 개발 (Development of Magnetic Torquer for Satellite Attitude Control)

  • Magnetic torquer하는 인공위성의 초기 자세제어에 사용 되는 부품으로 지구자기장하에서 자기 쌍극자 모멘트가 받는 비틀림력을 이용하여 인공위성의 회전을 방지하고 특정 방향으로 인공위성의 자세가 안정되게 한다. 본 연구에서 개발 한 magnetic torque는 소형위성에 사용되는 것으로, magnetic torque거 자기적 특성뿐만 아니라 위성 발사 시 및 인공위성 궤도에서의 환경에서도 그 특성이 보장될 수 있게 환경시험을 하였다. 개발한 magnetic torquer는 포화 자기 쌍극자 모멘트가 $15Am^2$, 선형도 특성을 보이는 구간이 ${\pm}12Am^2$이고 선형도가 0.3% 미만이면서 질량이 0.46 kg이고 소비전력이 자기 쌍극자 모멘트가 $10Am^2$에 1 Watt 이였다.

의류용 세제의 환경오염 및 안전성에 대한 태도 연구 -전주 . 군산을 중심으로- (A Study on the Attitude in Recognition of Environmental Pollution and Safety of Laundry Detergents - centering around Jeonju.Gunsan -)

  • This study analyed the results of the survey on the actual condition and the attitude in using laundry detergents of housewives in Jeonbuk region centering around Jeonju\ulcornerGunsan. The purpose of this study is to give more reasonable and scientific clothing management and to help to solve the problems of the environmental pollution caused by laundry detergents. Both Jeonju(71.4%) and Gunsan(71.0%) got informations about environmental pollution through mass media like TV and Radio. As for the degree of recognition of regenerated soap, comparing with the synthetic detergent, most people thought that the regenerated soap had better detergency, less water pollution, and less harm to the human being than the synthetic detergent. Accordingly, it showed they misconceived it. It showed that the aged consumers in Jeonju and Gunsan had all good attitudes for the practice. As roles of consumers toward the problems of environmental pollution, the respondents who thought that the consumers roles were important took high percentage(Jeonju 86.8% and Gunsan 84.5%). In conclusion, they showed high degree of concerns in the recognition of necessity about the proper use of detergent, however, low in their attitudes in real life applications.

뇌 기반 진화적 과학 교수학습 모형을 적용한 초등학교 학생의 자유 탐구 활동에서 과학 태도와 흥미 주제 영역 분석 (Analyses on Elementary Students' Science Attitude and Topics of Interest in Free Inquiry Activities according to a Brain-based Evolutionary Science Teaching and Learning Model)

  • Interest is acknowledged to be a critical motivational variable that influences learning and achievement. The purpose of this study was to investigate the interest of the elementary students when free inquiry activities were performed through a brain-based evolutionary scientific teaching and learning model. For this study, 106 fifth grade students were chosen and performed individually free inquiry activities. The results of this study were as follows: First, after free inquiry activities, as to free inquiry science related attitude, a statistically significant difference was not observed. But they came to have positive feelings about the free inquiry. Especially students marked higher mean score in openness showed consistency in sub-areas of free inquiry science related attitude. Second, students had interests in various fields, especially they had many interests in area of biology. They chose inquiry subjects that seems to be easily accessible from surrounding and as an important criterion of free inquiry they thought the possibility that they could successfully perform it. And students who belong to the high level in the science related attitudes and academic achievement diversified more topics. Third, most of students failed to further their topics. However, the students who specifically and clearly extended their topics suggested appropriate variables in their topics. On the other hand, students who couldn't elaborate their topics were also failed to suggest further topics and their performance of inquiry was more incomplete. In conclusion, the experiences of success in free inquiry make the science attitude of students more positive and help them extend their inquiry. These results have fundamental implications for the authentic science inquiry in the elementary schools and for the further research.

Single-axis Hardware in the Loop Experiment Verification of ADCS for Low Earth Orbit Cube-Satellite

  • A 2U cube satellite called SNUGLITE has been developed by GNSS Research Laboratory in Seoul National University. Its main mission is to perform actual operation by mounting dual-frequency global positioning system (GPS) receivers. Its scientific mission aims to observe space environments and collect data. It is essential for a cube satellite to control an Earth-oriented attitude for reliable and successful data transmission and reception. To this end, an attitude estimation and control algorithm, Attitude Determination and Control System (ADCS), has been implemented in the on-board computer (OBC) processor in real time. In this paper, the Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) was employed as the attitude estimation algorithm. For the attitude control technique, the Linear Quadratic Gaussian (LQG) was utilized. The algorithm was verified through the processor in the loop simulation (PILS) procedure. To validate the ADCS algorithm in the ground, the experimental verification via a single axis Hardware-in-the-loop simulation (HILS) was used due to the simplicity and cost effectiveness, rather than using the 3-axis HILS verification (Schwartz et al. 2003) with complex air-bearing mechanism design and high cost.

PRELIMINARY REPORT: DESIGN AND TEST RESULTS OF KSR-3 ROCKET MAGNETOMETERS

  • The solar wind contributes to the formation of unique space environment called the Earth's magnetosphere by various interactions with the Earth's magnetic field. Thus the solar-terrestrial environment affects the Earth's magnetic field, which can be observed with an instrument for the magnetic field measurement, the magnetometer usually mounted on the rocket and the satellite and based on the ground observatory. The magnetometer is a useful instrument for the spacecraft attitude control as well as the Earth's magnetic field measurements for the spacecraft purpose. In this paper, we present the preliminary design and test results of the two onboard magnetometers of KARI's (Korea Aerospace Research Institute) sounding rocket, KSR-3, which will be launched four times during the period of 2001-02. The KSR-3 magnetometers consist of the fluxgate magnetometer, MAG/AIM (Attitude Information Magnetometer) for acquiring the rocket flight attitude information, and of the search-coil magnetometer, MAG/SIM (Scientific Investigation Magnetometer) for the observation of the Earth's magnetic field fluctuations. With the MAG/AIM, the 3-axis attitude information can be acquired by the comparison of the resulting dc magnetic vector field with the IGRF (International Geomagnetic Reference Field). The Earth's magnetic field fluctuations ranging from 10 to 1,000 Hz can also be observed with the MAG/SIM measurement.
