전북지역 일부 고등학생의 구강보건형태에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Oral Health Behavior of High School Students in Jeolla-bukdo)

  • 본 연구는 남학생의 구강보건행태에 관한 기초자료를 마련하고, 그 연관요인을 규명하여 구강건강증진을 도모하고자 2008년 6월 9일부터 20일까지 전라북도 남원 소재의 고등학교 남학생 388명을 대상으로 하였다. 설문지는 담임교사의 협조를 얻어 배포 회수하였고 자기기입식에 의한 설문법을 실시하였다. 자료 분석 방법으로는 ${\chi}^2$(Chi-square)검증과 기술통계를 시행하였으며 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 1일 잇솔질 횟수로 61.1%의 학생들이 2회라고 응답하였고(p < 0.05), 69.1%가 아침식후에 가장 많이 잇솔질을 하는 것으로 나타났으며, 잇솔질 방법으로 위 아래로 닦는다는 응답이 36.6%로 가장 많았다. 보조 구강위생용품은 8.5%의 학생만이 사용하고 있었다(p < 0.01). 2. 구강진료기관 이용 경험률은 93.6%이었고, 마지막 구강진료 이용목적으로 82.9%의 학생들이 치료를 이유로 내원하였다. 1년 이내 이용 경험률은 47.7%이었고(p < 0.05), 77.1%의 학생들이 진료에 대해 만족하고 있었다(p < 0.05). 3. 흡연을 하는 학생들의 잇솔질 횟수는 흡연을 하지 않은 학생들에 비해 낮게 나타았고(p < 0.05), 음주를 하는 학생들은 하지 않은 학생들에 비해 잇솔질 횟수가 높게 나타났다(p < 0.05). 4. 구강질환으로 인한 활동제한 경험률은 16.0%이었고, 연간 결석 경험률은 5.2%이었으며, 학업수행 지장 경험률은 13.1%로 나타났다. 결과적으로 정기적인 구강검진 및 구강보건교육을 강화하고, 예방과 조기 치료 위주의 정책이 필요한 것으로 사료된다.

일부 치위생과 학생의 문제해결능력에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors Influencing Problem Solving Ability among Dental Hygiene Students)

  • 향후 치과의료 관련분야에서 전문직을 수행해야 할 치위생과 학생들에게 학교 교육과정은 문제해결력 향상을 위한 교육과 이에 적합한 학습체제 마련을 위한 연구가 필요하다. 이에 본 연구는 치위생과 학생들의 문제해결능력의 수준과 이에 대한 영향을 주는 변수를 확인하고, 관련변수의 영향력을 파악하여 치위생학 교육과정 개발에 필요한 기초 자료를 제공하고자 실시하였다. 1. 연구대상자의 성별에 따른 문제해결능력은 해결책 고안에서 남자 3.46, 여자 3.02로 남자가 높게 나타났으며, 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었다(p=0.048). 학년에 따라서는 2학년보다 3학년이 문제해결력 고안 3.15, 문제해결책 실행 2.95, 문제해결책 검토 3.13로 높게 나타났다(p<0.05). 출신고교의 경우 기타의 실업계와 검정고시 등 출신보다 인문계 출신이 문제정의 3.53, 문제해결책 검토 3.06으로 높았고, 대인관계에 따른 문제해결능력은 대인관계가 좋은 경우에 문제발견 3.26, 문제정의 3.62, 문제해결책 실행 2.94, 문제해결책 검토 3.17로 높게 나타났다(p<0.05). 2. 연구대상자의 학업성적에 따른 문제해결능력은 평점 4.0 이상의 경우 문제발견 3.42, 문제정의 3.73, 문제해결력 고안 3.28로 가장 높게 나타났고, 전공만족도에 따라서는 만족한다고 답한 경우 5개의 하위영역(문제발견, 문제정의, 문제해결력 고안, 문제해결책 실행, 문제해결책 검토)에서 모두 높은 수준을 나타냈다(p<0.05). 4. 문제해결능력에 영향을 미치는 요인들의 영향력으로는 학년, 대인관계, 성적, 전공만족도와 통계적으로 유의한 관련성이 있었다. 학년에 따라서는 3학년에 비해 2학년(B=-0.182, p=0.010)의 문제해결능력이 낮은 경향이 나타났으며, 대인관계의 경우 좋을 때에 비해 나쁠 때(B=-0.349, p=0.020), 학업성적은 평점 4.0 이상에 비해 3.0 미만인 경우 (B=-0.328, p=0.004), 전공만족도에서는 만족하는 경우에 비해 불만족의 경우(B=-0.483, p=0.005)에 문제해결능력이 낮았다. 따라서, 성공적인 실무를 수행할 수 있는 능력을 갖춘 인재를 양성하기 위해서는 치위생과 학생들의 문제해결능력에 영향을 미치는 요인에 따라 차별화된 교육과정 내에서 스스로 학습문제를 파악하고 문제해결을 위한 대안을 세우고 필요한 자료를 탐색하고 획득하여 문제를 해결하는 능력을 강화시키기 위한 실제적인 문제해결력을 갖추는 교육이 필요할 것으로 생각된다.

국유림 경영제도에 대한 수요자의 인식정도에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Demander's Consciousness of the National Forest Management System)

  • 본 연구는 국유림 경영제도(공동산림사업 및 국민의 숲 제도)에 대한 수요자의 인지정도 및 참여의사, 제도에 대한 중요성 정도, 제도 참여에 대한 원하는 수혜, 국유림 역할에 대한 중요도, 제도의 목적달성도 등 변수 측정을 통해 국유림 경영제도에 대한 수요자의 의식 차이를 규명하고 동시에 활성화 방안을 모색하고자 수행하였다. 조사대상은 국유림 경영제도의 수요자인 제도 미참여 환경단체(158, A Type), 제도 참여 환경단체(181, B Type), 사회 공헌활동 관련 환경백서를 발간하는 기업(169, C Type), 지자체(249, D Type)의 4 Type으로 분류하였다. 조사 결과, C Type의 62.7%는 제도에 참여할 의사를 나타냈고, 참여 희망분야는 나무심기와 숲 가꾸기(56.2%) 등 직접 참여를 선호하였다. 참여 의사가 없는 37.3%는 산림을 활용한 사회공헌보다는 타 분야 사회공헌활동의 이점이 더 크기 때문(72.2%)에 국유림 활용을 고려하고 있지 않다고 응답하였다. 단, 다양한 국유림 관련 시설(사원 연수 등)이나 산림청 차원에서 적극적인 지원책이 제공된다면 산림을 활용한 사회적 참여를 고려하겠다는 반응을 나타냈다. A Type의 61%는 국유림 경영제도를 사전에 인지하고 있음에도 불구하고 제도를 활용하지 않은 주요인으로 참여장소의 확보문제, 현지 참여에 대한 번거로움을 제시하였고, D Type은 국민의 숲 제도(3.69)의 산림휴양 교육 문화시설(4.15), 산림레포츠의 숲(3.90) 참여에 높은 관심을 보였다. 특히, 경기/강원권 지자체에서는 체험의 숲을, 전라/충청권 및 경상권 지자체에서는 산림레포츠 숲을 선호하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 분석결과를 토대로 수요자 의사를 반영하는 국유림 경영제도의 활성화 방안으로서 참여대상, 범위를 확대하는 법적 요건의 정비, 기업의 사회공헌요구에 의한 자발적 참여 유도를 위한 인센티브 제공 방안, 제도 운영의 활성화를 도모할 수 있는 전담 비정부 전문기관의 설립 등을 제시하였다.

초등학생의 인지양식에 따른 자료해석 특성 분석 (An Analysis of Elementary School Students' Interpretation of Data Characteristics by Cognitive Style)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 자료해석에 영향을 미치는 학습자 요인으로 인지양식에 주목하고 학습자의 인지양식에 따른 자료해석의 특성을 알아보고자 하는 것이다. 연구대상으로 통합탐구가 가능한 형식적 조작기에 접어드는 초등학교 6학년을 선택하였으며 인지양식 검사를 통해 전체적 인지양식과 분석적 인지양식으로 집단을 분류한 후 과학적 자료해석 과제를 투입하여 이들의 자료해석 활동을 촬영하고, 사후 면담을 실시하여 프로토콜을 생성하였으며, 피험자들이 작성한 자료해석 활동지도 분석에 사용하였다. 연구에 따른 결과를 보면, 첫째, 자료해석에서 학습자들은 자료해석의 초기 상태에서 중간 상태를 거쳐 목표 상태에 이르는 동안 다양한 조작자를 활용한다. 본 연구를 통해서는 자료 확인, 변인 인식, 불확실한 자료의 처리, 수학적 조작, 표지의 사용, 사전지식의 이용, 관계 분석, 패턴 분석, 예상이 분석되었다. 인지 양식에 따라 자료해석의 초기 상태에서 자료를 확인하는 양상에 차이가 있다. 둘째, 초등학생의 인지양식에 따라 자료해석의 방향성과 선호하는 자료의 형태가 특징적으로 나타났다. 전체적 인지양식의 학습자는 일반적인 원리나 과학적 문제에 대한 답을 도출한 후 자료를 통해 세부적인 정보를 분석하는 하향식 접근과 연역적 기술의 특성을 보이며, 분석적 인지양식의 학습자들은 자료의 전체적인 양상에 집중하기보다 제시된 자료의 연속적인 세부 항목과 절차에 따라 정보를 일차적으로 분석하여 기술해 나가는 일차적이고 연대기적 구조를 가진다. 또한 이러한 방식으로 분석해 낸 세부 정보를 바탕으로 귀납적인 방법으로 과학적 문제에 대한 답을 얻는 상향식 접근 방법을 주로 사용한다. 따라서 다양한 교수학습 상황에서 효과적인 학습을 위해서는 학습자들의 인지양식에 대한 이해를 바탕으로 이를 효과적으로 지원하는 교수 설계 전략을 고안하기 위해 노력해야 할 필요가 있다.

초등학생과 중학생이 인지하는 어머니의 양육방식과 식사지도방식의 요인 탐색 및 어머니의 양육방식과 자녀의 식행동과의 상관성 (Exploration of Maternal Parenting and Child-Feeding Style Dimensions Perceived by Elementary Schoolers and Middle Schoolers and Correlation between Maternal Parenting Dimensions and Child's Food Behaviors)

  • 요인분석을 이용하여 초등학생(4~6학년)과 중학생(2~3학년)이 인지하는 어머니의 양육방식과 식사지도방식에 관한 내재요인을 추출하고, 이들 요인들의 상호관련성 및 대상자들의 식행동과의 관련성을 살펴보았다. 어머니 양육방식은 총 10개의 요인(합리적 지도, 애정과 참여, 성취격려 및 기대, 일관성 있는 규제, 비난과 성냄, 과보호, 감정적 처벌, 육체적 처벌, 자녀가 좋아하는 것을 못하게 함으로써 처벌 및 처벌을 못함)으로 추출되었고, 2차 요인분석을 통하여 이들 10 요인은 3 양육방식(권위주의적인, 허용적인 및 권위있는)으로 축약되었다. 어머니의 식사지도방식은 총 8개의 요인(식사량 조절, 식품제한, 섭취강요, 모니터링, 바람직하지 않은 식행동 보여주기, 바람직한 식행동 보여주기, 편식 교정 교육, 바람직한 식행동 권장)으로 추출되었다. 초등학생과 중학생의 식행동 비교 결과, 중학생들은 초등학생에 비해 '부모와 함께 식사'하는 빈도가 낮으며 '건강에 유익한 식품 섭취빈도'는 낮고 '건강에 해로운 식품 섭취빈도'는 높았다. '권위주의적인' 방식을 택할수록 '섭취강요' 및 '바람직 하지 않은 식행동 보여주기' 경향이 높았고 이러한 관련성은 초등학생에서 더 높았다. '허용적인' 방식을 택할수록 '올바른 식습관 권장' 점수가 낮게 나타났다. '권위 있는' 방식은 초등학생과 중학생 모두 '바람직하지 않은 식행동 보여주기'를 제외한 모든 식사지도방식 요인과 유의한 양의 상관관계를 나타내었고(p<0.0001), '편식개선 노력'과 '바람직한 식행동 권장' 점수가 가장 높았다. '권위주의적인' 방식일수록 초등학생의 '건강에 해로운 식품 섭취빈도'가 높았고(p<0.001), '허용적인' 방식일수록 중학생의 '혼자식사' 및 '건강에 해로운 식품 섭취빈도'가 높았다. '권위 있는' 방식을 택할수록 초등학생과 중학생 모두 '건강에 유익한 식품 섭취빈도'가 높았다(p<0.001). 또 '권위 있는' 방식은 초등학생이 '부모와 함께 식사'하는 횟수는 높고 '혼자 식사'하는 횟수는 낮았으며 중학생에서는 관련성이 없었다. 이상에서 볼 때, 어머니의 양육방식과 차원, 식사지도방식의 차원들은 상호관련성이 높으며, 어머니의 '권위 있는' 양육방식은 초등학생 및 중학생에서 가장 바람직한 것으로 드러났다. 한편, 초등학생과 중학생에서 가장 바람직하지 못한 양육방식은 각각 '권위주의적인' 방식과 '허용적인' 방식으로 나타났고, 어머니의 양육방식은 자녀의 연령에 따라 다르게 영향을 미치는 것으로 드러났다.

  • Introduction : Nursing as a profession is gelling wide acceptance today, especially among independent -minded women with necessary physical, mental and academic qualifications. This is particularly true of "comprehensive nursing", which requires to total dedication on the part if the nurse herself-physical, mental and sociocultural. Such comprehensive approach is like-wise called for in the institutional training of professional nurses. Undergraduate nursing courses nowadays place an increasing emphasis on the microscopic approach of training a nurse as an intelligent and well-balanced human being with an optimum degree of cultural sophistication. Greater attention then ever before is now paid to close observation of the individual traits and aptitude of nursing students, so as to permit full development of individual capabilities, interests and propensities within the concept of "comprehensive human education. " Purpose of study 1. To determine the degree of understanding of the part of nursing students of the various aspects of the subject taught in undergraduate nursing course. 2. To determine the motivation of nursing students in choosing the profession and possible subsequent change or attitude and outlook in the course of under graduated studies, as a means of presenting a new practical approach in nursing training based on the concept of "comprehensive human education. " Problems of study 1. The environments of nursing training will impinge on individual nursing students with different psychological impacts from lower to upper classes of under graduated studies. 2. Educational environments will have varying psychological impacts on students: a. Difference in religious faith among students. b. Difference in campus environments. c. Difference in domestic (family) circumstances. d. Difference in innate capabilities of students, 3. The understanding and attitude of individual nursing students towards the science of nursing will Have a close correlation with their respective motivations in choosing-nursing as a profession, and will also be closely influenced by the peculiarities of the subject taught, tile campus environments, etc, Delimitations of the study 1. Two universities offering 4-year nursing courses were selected. Due to the limited number of potential subjects, the optimum conditions of sample collection could not be fulfilled. 2. Subjects were confined to two classes in each university (sophomores and seniors) but without regard to the ages or scholastic achievements of individual students. 3. The conclusions derived from this study should be limited in application to the subject groups covered by the present study: they should not in any event be extended or applied to other groups. Procedures 1. Subjects: 40 nursing students each from the sophomore and senior classes of the "Y" and "K" universities situated in Seoul, aggregating 160 students altogether. 2. Instruments: Use has been made of questionnaires on (1) family backgrounds and (2) general information concerning. 3. Statistical Method: The findings of the present survey have been subjected to critical analysis as to the means, percentages, Cgi squares (X), standard deviations and the significance of the difference in means. Findings 1. Nursing students have chosen their subject of study with a confident outlook towards their future in society. 2. Horsing students have the necessary abilities to complete the prescribed courses of study. 3. The campus life of nursing students has been judged as very constructive, not with-standing certain in adequacies in the available educational facilities and the shortages of teaching staff. 4. The achievement levels of nursing trainees varied greatly according to their respective educational environments as well as their school years. 5. Clear and definite distinctions were discernible between the two universities as regards certain aspects of this survey, while no signifiant difference was observed in other: a. Sophomores and seniors in both universities gave nearly identical answers to questions concerning (1) motivation in choosing nursing as a profession, and (2) the way of spending leisure hours. b. Both universities revealed similar respective differences between sophomores and seniors as regards the abilities of fulfilling academic requirements ill the basic subjects. c. Educational environments have been found to be somewhat superior in the "Y"university to those of the "K" university, particularly as regard general campus and dormitory conditions. d. The high degree of dissatisfaction with the faculty, found in both universities, was considered to be a consequence of the universal phenomenon of "brain drain" and the relative neglect of the "comprehensive approach"in education.

공급사슬 관리 구축전략에 관한 연구: LG전자 사례 중심으로 (A study of SCM strategic plan: Focusing on the case of LG electronics)

  • 국내에서는 일부 대기업을 제외하고는 공급사슬 관리(SCM) 체제 구축에 매우 소극적이며, 중소기업들은 SCM관리의 개념조차 인식하고 있는 경우가 대 다수이다. 이는 공급망 비효율적 관리로 인한 국내 제조업체, 협력업체, 유통업체 및 물류업체들 재고관리 비용, 수요관리 비용 등 비 효율화를 초래하고 있으며, 나아가 국내 기업의 경쟁력 저하에도 큰 영향력을 미치고 있다. 그 이유는 공급사슬 관리(SCM) 태생적인 특징인 공급사슬 관리(SCM) 전체에 대한 정보 공유 및 프로세스 혁신과, 공급사슬 관리(SCM)가 갖는 광범위함 때문이라고도 할 수 가 있다. 이 논문은 성공적인 공급사슬 관리(SCM) 추진을 위한 공급사슬 관리(SCM) 관련 이론적 논의와 구축전략과 도입 및 성공사례를 연구 및 분석을 통하여 현상황에 대한 고찰과 개선방안에 대해서 제안해보고자 한다. 성공적인 공급사슬 관리(SCM) 추진을 위한 방안을 논의하기 위해서는 먼저 공급사슬 관리(SCM)에 대한 이론적 배경에 대한 고찰이 필요하다. 따라서 II장에서는 공급사슬 관리(SCM)에 대한 기본적인 개념과 필요성에 대해서 기술하고, III장에서는 현재 추진되고 있는 공급사슬 관리(SCM)에 대한 문제점에 대해서 기술할 것이다. 마지막으로IV, V장에서는 공급사슬 관리(SCM) 구축전략과 LG전자사례 및 결론을 기술할 것이다.

한국인 폐쇄성 수면 무호흡 환자의 적정 양압을 위한 수동화 양압 측정법과 자동화 양압 측정법의 비교 (Comparison for the Optimal Pressure between Manual CPAP and APAP Titration with Obstructive Sleep Apnea Patients)

  • 폐쇄성 수면 무호흡 환자들의 양압기 사용을 위한 적정 양압측정은 편리함과 경제성뿐만 아니라 다양한 원인으로 CPAP 측정법보다는 APAP 측정법을 더 선호한다. 그러나 PSG 감시하에 진행하는 CPAP 측정법보다 정확성에 대한 의문이 아직까지 남아있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 동일한 대상자에 대한 CPAP과 APAP 측정법의 적정 압력과 무호흡-저호흡 지수를 변수로서 두 방법간의 효율성과 정확성을 비교하였다. 대상자는 분할 수면다원검사 중 CPAP 양압 측정과 7일 이상 APAP 양압 측정에 성공한 79명이 모집되었다. CPAP과 APAP 측정법의 적정 양압은 $7.0{\pm}1.8cmH_2O$, $7.6{\pm}1.6cmH_2O$ 무호흡-저호흡 지수는 $1.3{\pm}1.5/h$, $3.0{\pm}1.7/h$로 CPAP 측정법이 두 변수 모두 통계적으로 유의하게 낮게 나타났다(P<0.001). 그러나 미국수면학회 가이드라인 무호흡-저호흡 지수 5/h이하의 적정 양압 도달 비율은 CPAP 측정법이 96.2% (76명), APAP 측정법이 94.9% (75명)으로 유의미한 차이를 보이지 않았다(r=-0.045, P=0.688). 본 연구를 요약하면, CPAP은 APAP 측정법보다 좀 더 효율적인 측정법으로 나타났다. 그렇지만 적정 양압에 도달하는 비율은 두 방법 모두 통계적 차이를 나타내지 않아 정확성을 가진다. 따라서 CPAP과 APAP 측정법 중 요구되는 상황에 따라 적절한 방법을 선택하여 적정 양압을 측정할 수 있겠다.

조선시대(朝鮮時代) 전기(前期)의 의료제도(醫療制度)에 대한 연구(硏究) (A study of the Medical System in the Early Chosun-Dynasty)

  • Up to the present the scholastic achievements in the history of the medical system have been rather scare despite its importance in the Korean History. Hence, this dissertation attempts to examine the significance of the institute in the Korean History, covering the period from the ancient times through the early Chosun-Dynasty. In the ancient times, the medical practice relied primarily upon human instincts and experiences at the same time, shaman's incantations were widely believed to cure diseases, the workings of evil spirits supposedly. For the period from the Old Chosun through Samhan(巫堂), Chinese refugees brought a long medical knowledge and skills of the continent. New Chinese medicine, traditional practices and incantations were generally used at this time. Medicine and the medical system were arranged by the period of the Three Countries(三國時代). No definite record concerning Koguryo remains now. As for Paekje, however, history shows that they set up the system under the Chinese influence, assigning medical posts such as Euibaksa(medical doctor), Chaeyaksa(pharmacist), and Jukeumsa(medicine man) within Yakbu(department of medicine). Scientifically advanced, they sent experts to Japan, giving a tremendous influence on the development of the science on ancient Japan. After the unification of the three countries, Shilla had their own system after the model of Dang(唐). This system of the Unified Shilla was continued down to Koryo and became the backbone of the future ones. In the ancient time religion and medicine were closely related. The curative function of the shaman was absolute. Buddhism played a notable part in medical practice, too, producing numerous medical monks. The medical system of Koryo followed the model of Dang with some borrowings from Song(宋). Sangyakkuk(尙藥局) was to deal exclusively with the diseases of the monarch whereas Taeeuigam(太醫監) was the central office to handle the national medical administration and the qualification test and education for doctors. In addition, Dongsodaebiwon(東西大悲院), Jewibo(濟危寶), and Hyeminkuk(惠民局) were public hospitals for the people, and a few aristocrats practiced medicine privately. In 987, the 6th year of Songjong(成宗), local medical operations were installed for curing the sick and educating medical students. Later Hyonjong(顯宗), established Yakjom(clinics, 藥店) throughout the country and officials were sent there to see patients. Foreign experts, mainly from Song, were invited frequently to deliver their advanced technology, and contributed to the great progress of the science in Korea. Medical officials were equipped with better land and salary than others, enjoying appropriate social respect. Koryo exchanged doctors, medicine and books mainly with Song, but also had substantial interrelations with Yuan(元), Ming(明), Kitan(契丹), Yojin(女眞), and Japan. Among them, however, Song was most influential to the development of medicine in Koryo. During Koryo Dynasty Buddhism, the national religion at the time, exercised bigger effect on medicine than in any other period. By conducting national ceremonies and public rituals to cure diseases, Taoism also affected the way people regarded illness. Curative shamanism was still in practice as well. These religious practices, however, were now engaged only when medication was already in use or when medicine could not held not help any more. The advanced medical system of Koryo were handed down to Chosun and served the basis for further progress. Hence, then played well the role to connect the ancient medicine and the modern one. The early Chosun followed and systemized the scientific and technical achievement in medicine during the Koryo Dynasty, and furthermore, founded the basis of the future developments. Especially the 70 years approximately from the reign of Sejong(世宗) to that of Songjong(成宗) withnessed a termendous progress in the field with the reestablishment of the medical system. The functions of the three medical institute Naeeuiwon(內醫院), Joneuigam(典醫監), Hyeminkuk(惠民局) were expanded. The second, particualy, not only systemized all the medical practices of the whole nation, but also grew and distributed domestic medicaments which had been continually developed since the late Koryo period. In addition, Hyeminso(惠民局, Hwarinwon(活人院)) and Jesaenwon(濟生院)(later merged to the first) played certain parts in the curing illness. Despite the active medical education in the capital and the country, the results were not substantial, for the aristocracy avoided the profession due to the social prejudice against technicians including medical docotors. During the early Chosun-Dynasty, the science was divided into Chimgueui (acupuncturist), Naryogeui(specialist in scrofula) and Chijongeui (specialist in boil). For the textbooks, those for the qualification exam were used, including several written by the natives. With the introduction on Neoconfucianism(性理學) which reinforced sexual segregation, female doctors appeared for the female patients who refused to be seen by male doctors. This system first appeared in 1406, the sixth year of Taejong(太宗), but finally set up during the reign of Sejong. As slaves to the offices, the lowest class, female doctors drew no respect. However, this is still significant in the aspect of women's participation in society. They were precedents of midwives. Medical officials were selected through the civil exam and a special test. Those who passed exams were given temporary jobs and took permanent posts later. At that time the test score, the work experience and the performance record of the prospective doctor were all taken into consideration, for it was a specialized office. Most doctors were given posts that changed every six months, and therefore had fewer chances for a goverment office than the aristocracy. At the beginning the social status of those in medicine was not that low, but with the prejudice gradully rising among the aristocracy, it became generally agreed to belong to the upper-middle technician class. Dealing with life, however, they received social respect and courtesy from the public. Sometimes they collected wealth with their skills. They kept improving techniques and finally came to take an important share in modernization process during the late Chosun-Dynasty.

간호학생의 효과적인 자율학습을 위한 조사연구 (A Study on the Effective Independent Study of Nursing Student)

  • This survey was made for a month starting from November 15 to December 15, 1977 covering 711 students taking the junior. (3rd-yea.) and the senior. (4th-year) at nine college of nursing in Seoul concerning their perception and Attitude toward the profession of nursing, motive for the necessity of learning, environment of study, attitude of study and particulars relevant with study performance, particulars of library, references and reading, assignments and particulars of the degree of confidence for the learning achievement. Through the survey of the above Particulars, the following results were obtained by classifying all subject matters and by analysing motive of the selection of their course, awarding or not awarding of scholarships. 1. General characteristics: it was revealed that 406 students (57.1%) were attending at the junior. while 305 students (42.9%) were taking the senior. Thus, the total number was 711 and their average age was 21.4 years. Their dwelling category was; 73.9 percent of them resided at their parent's home, 214 students (30.1%) were awarded with scholarships. The reason to be attracted by nursing science was the possibility of continuing social life after graduation (43.5%). 2. Their perception and attitude toward the profession of nursing: According to the perception of profession by the students of each grade, students of the 4th grade showed comparatively strong conception. Also, students of the 4th grade showed more positive attitude in the purchase and reading of magazines relative with the science of nursing, in the reading of Code for Nurses and in their interest in the activity of nursing field. For the necessity of mission of nurse, 97.7 percent of the entire number of students covered responded to necessity. For the necessity of the particular humanity and particularity in the character of nurses, 95.8 percent of those students responded to necessity. By the each grade, students of the 4th grade showed more response. 3. As to professional field desired after completing the professional course: 57 percent of those students desired for clinician nurse while 55 percents desired for community health-nurse. 4. As to the environment of study: they were mostly satisfied with their present residential environment. However, they complained of inconvenience at their lecture-halls. Students of the 3rd grade showed more complain. As to their attitude toward the adjustment of environment of study, they showed a affirmative response. As to the opinion of factors which interfere with their study, comparatively strong response was showed in their scepticism in the science of nursing, insufficient comprehension in general learning, relation with professors n4 discrepancy in the method of study. According to opinions of students at each grade, students of the 4th grade showed more scepticism. 5. Particulars relative with their attitude and performance of study : As to their knowledge of the objectives of their study of subject, the majority was to study with a partial knowledge of the objectives of their study. As to the plan of study, a low percentage indicated management of routine life under regular scheduling. Students of the 4th grade responded to rather planned life. As to time spent in independent study, response to concentrated study when necessary was stronger than that to regular daily study. Students of the 4th grade showed stronger response to regular study than that of the 3rd grade. As to the contents of their note-taking, 67.4 percents of those students responded to such regulatory procedure performing in the lecture-hall as they listen to lectures. 17.3 percents of those students showed response to adding supplementary informations from references to what was entered in choir note-taking at their lecture-halls. 6. Particulars of library, references and reading books: As to receiving of instruction for the utilization of library and time of receiving such instruction 64.7 percents of those students had received such instruction. 66.7 percents of the those responded received such instruction at orientation conducted for freshmen. As to the convenience of the utilization of library, 49.9 percents of those students responded to convenience. However, students of the 3rd grade showed a much stronger response to inconvenience. As to the time of the utilization of library,92.5 percents of those students showed a response to occasional utilization for particular purpose than regular utilization. 53.2 percents of those students responded to ordinary in quantity that library have references. 34.2 percents of those students responded to insufficient. As to the particular relative with the method and field of reading: 53.5 percents of those students responded to intensive reading and was the majority. As to the reading field, fiction u as the majority. When read any books for their major, they usually rend Korean text-b, oks. 7. Particular relative with giving assignment: All respondents were well aware of the objectives of giving home tasks. As to the attitude toward assignments and performing home tasks, 54.8 percents of those students to making ostentatious study because of an excessive quantity of assignments imposed. For performing assignment, they showed comparatively positive response. Also, 52.2 percents of those students responded that they usually submitted complected assignment with references. 8. As to motive to realize the necessity of study : 55.6 percents of those students responded that they realized such necessity in communication with patients when they were engaged in clinical practice. Also, 8.6, the lowest percents of those students responded that they realized such necessity in the course of conversation with nurses when they were engaged in clinical practice. 9. As to the determination of their confidence in the performance of study relative with clinical experience: They showed a general inclination of having in nursing. The major response was that they came to well comprehend the patients families. the lowest response was that they could apply what was learned at lecture-hall to practice. This response incidentally showed the distance the lecture-hall and practical study. In general items, students of the 4th grade showed more favorable response than students of the 3rd grade and there was a significant difference. 10. As to the perception and attitude toward profession according to the motive of selecting the nursing science : Those who selected the nursing voluntarily showed stronger conception than those who selected the nursing through indirect influence. However, there was no significant difference on this point. Only there was a remarkable difference in the reading of Code for Nurses. 11. Those who showed a stronger conception in the profession of nursing according to the motives of attractive nursing science indicated a strong will and ability to manage stable life and comparatively strong response was shown in the management of good home life because of the good adaptability of the science to their character. This group showed a strong conception of the profession than those who responded that they prefer this profession out of a longing for the work of a hospital and for the easy obtaining of opportunity to immigrate to over seas and for economic cause and for high school grade. There was significant difference between these two groups, 12. As to the conception and attitude toward the profession of nursing according to benefits by scholarships, those who were benefitted by scholarship showed stronger conception of profession than those who did not receive scholarship and there was a remarkable difference between these two categories. However, there was no remarkable difference between these two categories in the extent of interest of the activities of nursing fields and in the reading of Code for Nurses. 13. As activation for study according to the benefits of scholarships, those who were benefitted by scholarships showed stronger response to the motive for study comparing with those who receive. 14. As to tile field of reading according to the benefits by scholarships, those who received scholarships tended to read autobiographies and essayers to a considerable extent. Those who did not receive scholarships tended to read novels. Those who received scholarships more read nursing boots than those who did not receive scholarships. 15. As to the attitude of study and doing of assignment according to benefits of scholarships, those who received scholarships managed a favorable life with schedules for study, More students of receiving scholarship showed a regular study for more than one hour per day. Also, in the method of doing home tasks, more students of receiving scholarship showed reference to relative books frequently for the submission of completed assignments.
