학생들의 휴대폰 중독과 우울, 불안, 학교생활만족도와의 관계 (The Relationship among Cellular Phone Addiction, Depression, Anxiety, and School Life Satisfaction Perceived by Students)

  • The purpose of this study was to find out the relationship among cellular phone addiction, depression, anxiety, and school life satisfaction by examining 284 elementary school students, especially the fifth and sixth graders in Gyeonggi province. This study was done by dividing two groups with top 25 percent and the lowest 25 percent of group(addicts' group vs. non-addicts' group), and 144 out of 284 elementary school students were used for this study. According to the survey, it turned out that the significant variables to predict the addiction are school life satisfaction, learning, classroom setting, and school events, including the top variables of anxiety and depression. And a further point is that relationship satisfaction, anxiety, depression, physical setting, and class satisfaction show how much students are addicted to cellular phone. Finally, this paper suggests the limitation and efficiency of the study compared to previous studies.

충북지역 학교급식의 만족도 분석 (An Analysis on the Satisfaction with the Quality of School Foodservice in Chungbuk Province)

  • The purposes of this study were to identify the students’ perception and to evaluate the satisfaction with the quality of school foodservice in Chungbuk Province. A questionnaire survey of 900 students was conducted and 370 completed questionnaires were available for the purpose of the statistical evaluation. Statistical analyses were performed on the data utilizing the SAS V8.2 program. Importance, performance and satisfaction scale were composed of 5-Likert scales. The main results of this study were summarized as follows: The degree of importance and performance on twenty three attributes and the degree of satisfaction with four dimensions and overall satisfaction were measured according to type of school, location of school, place for eating, type of foodservice system and type of foodservice operation. The importance score was significantly higher than the performance score at all quality attributes except for the food appearance. The performance score of ‘waiting time’ and ‘atmosphere’ was less than 3 point out of 5 scale. The average satisfaction score for the quality dimensions of food, sanitation and service was 3.35, 3.19 and 3.10 point out of 5 scale, respectively. The satisfaction score for dimension of environment was 2.93 point out of 5 scale. The score for overall satisfaction was 3.27 point out of 5 scale. The satisfaction score for elementary school foodservice management was significantly higher than middle and high school foodservices. The satisfaction score for commissary foodservice operations was significantly higher than conventional foodservice operations. Using survey results as a base, the dieticians of school foodservice are required to meet the needs of the students and increase students’ satisfaction.

자아강도와 학교 적응이 학령기 아동의 생활만족도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Ego Strength and School Adjustment on the Life Satisfaction of School-Aged Children)

  • This study was conducted in order to model the relationship between children's ego strength and their school adjustment and life satisfaction levels. For this purpose, 4,765 4th-6th grade elementary school children were surveyed by means of a questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed by means of structural equation modeling. The results of this study may be summarized as follows. First, in all the grades, a significant and positive correlation was observed between the children's ego strength and their school adjustment and life satisfaction levels. Second, ego strength was found to be a variable that had a significant effect on life satisfaction indirectly through the medium of school adjustment. Third, the relation model between the variables differed according to grade. That is, the direct effect of ego strength on life satisfaction was stronger in the high grades, and the level of school relationship adjustment was found to have a significant effect on family relationship satisfaction as a factor of life satisfaction in 4th graders, whereas it did not in the case of 5th and 6th graders.

대구지역 중학생들의 학교 급식 만족도 조사 (Satisfaction with School Food Service of Middle School Students in Daegu)

  • A study was conducted to improve satisfaction to school food service and to furnish source materials for nutrient education by researching degree of satisfaction of middle school students to school food service. Following results are from the study that targeted 215 male students and 173 female students in 5 middle schools in Daegu. Satisfaction rates regarding taste of foods, smell, proper temperature, use of seasonal food, cafeteria atmosphere, numbers of side dishes, and kindness of the cook in a cafeteria were higher than dissatisfaction. And dissatisfaction rates were higher in quantity and quality of foods, sanitation, purity of table wares, opening to nutrient education and related informations for students, opinion reflection of students, food serving time and gratification to food serving than the opposite. But the degree of general satisfaction on school food service were higher than the degree of general dissatisfaction. Sanitation was the first thing to be changed in school food service, then quantity of food and taste for the last. And there were notable differences between male students and female students in sanitation satisfaction. The variables that influence on satisfaction to school food service were sanitary administration, numbers of side dishes, quantity of foods, nutrient, smell and taste when ranked. And the main three things that have similar rate in quantity with satisfaction rate are taste, smell and nutrient of school food service. Through these followed results, degree of general satisfactions to school food service were higher than degree of general dissatisfactions. But sanitation, quantity and quality of foods, taste, and food serving size were not satisfactory for students in rate. Therefore it has to be improved to enhance satisfactions to middle school food service.

순위프로빗모형을 이용한 전북지역 초.중.고교 학생들의 학교급식에 대한 만족도 분석 (A Study on the Satisfaction of School meals about Elementary, Middle and High School's Students in Jeonbuk Area : An Ordered Probit Analysis)

  • This study analyses the factors that affect the satisfaction of school meals program. To obtain the data, 54 elementary, middle and high schools in Jeonbuk area were chosen for survey. A ordered probit model analysis is conducted to identify the key explanatory variables that affect the satisfaction of school meals about elementary, middle and high school's students. Also, a ordered probit model is used to calculate marginal effects of several key variables. The study finds that key factors that affect to increase the satisfaction of school meals are rural area schools, elementary school's students, and education for school meals or food nutrition. The satisfaction of school meals in urban and rural school's students are significantly different. Also, the satisfaction of school meals about elementary, middle and high school's students are significantly different. To do this, importance of school meals is to build up the safe agricultural supply system. For safe agricultural supply system, local agricultural products provided in school meals should be supplied based on GAP, HACCP certificated companies such as US FTS(Farm to School) program.

The Effect of Forest Experience on School Life Satisfaction of Korean Boarding Middle School Students

  • We surveyed to assess the impact of the mood states and sentiments resulting from forest experience on the school life satisfaction of Korean boarding middle school students (n=90). The average mood state score was 2.32 on a scale of 1-5, with the subscale of vigor scoring the highest (3.19). The average sentiment score was 3.08, with the subscale of subjective happiness scoring the highest (3.08). The average school life satisfaction score was 3.66, with the subscale of interpersonal relationships scoring the highest (3.91). The mood states resulting from forest experience explained 39.6% of the variance in school life satisfaction, and the regression model showed a significant fit (F=9.077, p<0.001). Similarly, sentiments resulting from forest experience explained 47.4% of school life satisfaction, with the regression model showing a significant fit (F=10.569, p<0.001). It can be concluded that forest experience positively impacts the school life satisfaction of Korean boarding middle school students.

Causal relationship among quality factors, emotional responses, and satisfaction of school food service in Henan province, China

  • BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: School food service has played an important role in promoting the health and physical condition of students by providing students with a balanced and nutritious diet. Therefore, boosting the quality of school food service and improving the students' satisfaction is critical. For this purpose, this study examined the structural causal relationship among the quality of school food service factors, emotional responses, and satisfaction in China. SUBJECTS/METHODS: This study was conducted with 4th-6th-grade students from 6 junior high schools in Henan province of China, with 590 questionnaire responses (87.3%) collected and statistically analyzed. RESULTS: The school food service quality factors (including menu management, dietary education, facilities management, price and food distribution management, and personal hygiene during meals) must be enhanced to boost the students' satisfaction. In addition, the study used questionnaire survey data to validate the full mediation of students' emotional responses between school food service quality factors and student satisfaction. CONCLUSIONS: Students' emotions also play an important role in influencing the quality of school food service, all of which affect the emotional responses of students. Therefore, students' positive emotions are an important indicator for improving the quality of school food service. A national support policy is necessary for the ongoing maintenance and development of various programs that drive students' satisfaction and promote the adoption of education guidelines for school food service in China.

한국과학영재학교 학생의 학교생활만족도: 생태학적 접근 (An Analysis of Ecological Factors Affecting Student-Life Satisfaction in Korea Science Academy)

  • The primary purpose of this study was to employ an ecological model to analyze relative magnitudes of significant predictors affecting school life satisfaction in Korea Science Academy. The instruments used for this study were school life satisfaction Scale, Self-Efficacy Scale, Relationship Skill Scale, Internal Control Scale, Emotional Intelligence Scale, and FACE IV Scale. Data were collected by purposive sampling of 180 students of the Korea Science Academy in Busan, Korea. The data were analyzed by frequency, percentile, mean, standard deviation, Cronbach' ${\alpha}$, Pearson's productive correlation, hierarchical regression and stepwise regression, using SPSS 15.0+WIN program package. The results were as follows: 1. The level of school life satisfaction in Korea Science Academy was found to be high(Mean = 4.24, SD = 0.57). 2. Model IV was the most powerful. It explained 49.7% of the school life satisfaction. 3. Relationship with friends(${\beta}$ = .443), with teachers(${\beta}$ = .273), and self-efficacy(${\beta}$ = .201) were significant factors in explaining the school life satisfaction. The three variables explained 49.9% of school life satisfaction.

자아 관련 변인들과 학교적응이 아동의 생활만족도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Ego-Related Variables and School Adjustment on Children's Life Satisfaction*)

  • This study examined the influence of children's self-concept, self-efficacy, self-resiliency and school adjustment on life satisfaction. Data were collected from 582 fifth and sixth graders in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. The results of this study are as follows. First, self-concept, self-efficacy, and school adjustment were all confirmed as variables that had direct or indirect influence on life satisfaction. Of these, it was found that school adjustment and self-resiliency turned out to have a more direct influence on children's life satisfaction. Second, as for the greatness of direct influence on school adjustment, which mediates the ego-related variables and life satisfaction, self-efficacy, self-resilience, and self-concept proved to be greater in that order. Third, self-concept turned out to be the variable that had the greatest influence on school adjustment and life satisfaction when taking into consideration of both the direct and indirect influence. It was confirmed that it could be more effective to compose an intervention method for the promotion of life satisfaction case by case for short term goals.

  • 본 연구에서는 서울아동패널 1-3차년도 자료를 이용하여 학교만족도가 학업성취에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 특히 본 연구는 학업성취와 학교만족도 간의 인과관계의 규명에 한 걸음 더 나아가기 위하여 종속변수와 독립변수간의 시간적 순서를 고려한 분석과 자기회귀 교차지연모형을 활용하여 두 변수의 종단적인 관계를 살펴보았다. 분석결과 학교만족도가 학업성취도에 미치는 영향이 보다 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 아동의 학교만족도를 통해 학업성취도 향상을 유인하려는 학교에 기초한 사회복지 지원프로그램의 타당성을 보여주는 것이다.
