The convergence factors affecting oral health promotion were performed multiple regression analysis. The convergence factors affecting oral health promotion were performed multiple regression analysis. Oral health belief was the highest with 3.61 points, with 4.06 points of benefit, while oral health promotion with 3.25 points. Convergence factors affecting oral health improvement were shown as susceptibility (${\beta}=-0.210$), salienece(${\beta}=0.396$), seriousness(${\beta}=0.306$), and barrier(${\beta}=-0.170$). To explore ways to change the oral health beliefs of high school students, the school district health education is very important, and various oral health education programs to promote oral health promotion should be developed.

A final analysis of 111 untested individuals was made. The oral health knowledge and oral health behavior scores according to the presence or absence of oral health education showed a higher level than the school that did not perform oral health education for 3 years (p <0.01). Repeated and continuous oral health education of elementary school students has a great influence on oral health knowledge and behavioral change, so if the dental hygienists can stay and manage oral health care, the effect will be increased.

  • This study was conducted to check the effect of parenting attitudes on oral health behavior on lower grade elementary school students where oral care habits are formed. The subjects of the study were 366 students in the lower grades of elementary school, and the research tools used self-written questionnaires that were modified and supplemented to suit this purpose. Parenting attitudes of parents and lower-grade oral health behavior of elementary school students showed significant amounts of correlation, especially affectionate, autonomous and reasonable parenting attitudes were highly correlated with oral health behaviors(p<0.01). A multiple regression analysis to identify the factors affecting oral health behavior showed that parental attitudes also had a significant effect on the child variables(p<0.01). Therefore, since parenting attitudes are related to children's oral health behaviors, it is believed that measures should be taken to promote oral health education that can be improved by combining them.

  • Periodontal disease as one of oral diseases is a chronic disease that continuously worsens once it occurs. It begins with gingivitis in the late school childhood. Its prevalence rate gradually increases in adolescence and continues to rise until young and middle ages. Therefore, the preventive care for the disease in one's whole life is of very importance. Since periodontal disease can be prevented and controlled by oral health behaviors, this study focuses on the relation between adults' oral health behaviors and the disease and emphasizes its importance. Based on the data of the 2015 6th (3rd Year) National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, the prevalence rate of periodontal disease was compared according to study subjects' oral health behaviors. As a result, gum disease treatment, the count of gum brushing, use of dental floss use of interdental brush, and subjective oral health condition were statistically meaningful. Given that oral health behaviors are related to periodontal disease, it is necessary to conduct a systematic study for developing and performing the oral health education program to make the right habit of oral health behaviors.
