This study analyzed students', parents of student, and school master' survey materials and reading, math, and science knowledge performance based on OECD PISA 2009 Koreana data. Also, school library level variables grasped the impacts of academic achievement. Through this study looked for suggestion to improvement, educational accountability and leverage of school library. The results, first, when they use reading more pleasantly thought, they achieve higher scores in academic performance. Second, when they use more books and reading resources in housekeeping, they achieve higher scores in academic performance. Third, when they were more visits school library for exploit internet, they achieve higher lower scores in academic performance. Fourth, when the member of the staff in the school library are more lack of people, they achieve lower scores in academic performance. Fifth, private education's experience in reading have a negative influence in reading achievement and science achievement. Sixth, school library's visiting and library application study about national language curriculum in the impacts of academic performance would not change statistical evaluation significantly.

The purpose of this study is to suggest practical plans to improve the school library consulting, especially in case of a teacher librarian is not assigned. As a result of analyses, consulting through methods of the School Library Assistant Group lacks spontaneity, expertise, council, and independence. Besides, each office of education operates it as a marketing. A main goal of school consulting is to foster independent problem- solving of individual schools. Accordingly, it is necessary to build an union management system, develop a standard staff manual, construct DLS based on-line consulting, and design educational training programs of consultants for its successful consulting.

The libraries of the various learning institutes in the Yi Dynasty may be categorized into four types: 1) The Hyang-Gyo library(the public school libraries in rural districts) 2) The Sabu-Hankdang library (the public school libraries in the Capital) 3) The $S\bar{o}w\bar{o}n$ library (the libraries of private learning institutes) 4) The $Jyon-Gy\bar{o}ng-Gak$ library (the library of the Sung Kyun Kwan which was the highest learning institute in the Yi Dynasty) For the historical study of Korean libraries as well as its education and culture the Hyang-Gyo libraries hold an very important position, but undeservedly its study has been neglected. In this paper, the writer made an effort to grasp the various function of the Hyang-Gyo libraries with its historical background.

The purpose of this research are to develop patterns for integrated culture and arts education program in libraries. In order to conduct the research, I analyzed the status of the culture and arts education programs in domestic and U.S. libraries. The purpose of this study is to present the need of developing reading education programs for preventing school violence that reading education program has on teenagers' attitude, awareness and empathy of school violence. According to the analysis results is as follows. First, Reading education program influenced on the attitude of the school violence. They had a meaningful effect about the sub-factor of the school violence permissive, attitude for the victim and attacker. Second, Reading education program had an influence on empathy ability. They had a meaningful effect about the sub-factor of the empathy ability take view point, empathic concern, individual anguish and imaging.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate propriety of remodeling and present improvement as a case study of a school library. For this, we analyzed investigation of the process of it by selecting a school library which has been completed recently and surveyed user satisfaction after remodeling. According to the survey result, is shows that the user satisfaction of information service and education activity that are library's function and role are efficiently increased by remodeling. In case of the school library, on the other hand, it shows that the users still need not only the improvement of the space structure and aesthetic environment of the exterior and interior but also the expansion of the stuff and facility.

The iSchool movement has been rapidly spread out since the foundation of iSchool Caucus (iCaucus) in 2005, which currently 52 schools have joined across 16 countries. This research aims to investigate the advances in this movement and its impact on education and research in the field of library and information science (LIS) in order to explore future trends in LIS education and research. To do so, this study classifies 21 ALA-accredited iSchools into three groups suggested by King (2006) and comparatively analyzes each group in terms of its temporal advances and curriculum characteristics. Moreover, as the new movement of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) has been rapidly progressing with the initiative of North American schools since 2012, this study also intends to diagnose the possibility of its spillover effect in LIS education by examining application cases.

KSLA(Korea School Library Association) is a representative professional association related to school libraries and teacher librarians in Korea. This study tried to propose the strategic plan of KSLA. To do this, major works of KSLA are defined after analyzing current issues of school libraries and the internal environment. Among them, 12 works are selected as strategic works. The survey was carried out to decide which works are regarded as more important or less. After all, this study proposed the strategic plan for 4 works, which are the revision of school libraries promotion law, the revision of elementary and secondary education law, the investigation of teacher librarians' grievance cases and the collection of outstanding educational cases in school libraries.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between media richness, media usefulness, media experience and media decision in order to identify factors that determine the media of school library in solving performance evaluation tasks. For this purpose, 132 primary and middle school students were surveyed and their structural equation was set up by hypothesis setting, validity test, and causal model. As a result, it was confirmed that media experience of school library is a major factor in media decision. Also, media richness and media experience appeared to influence media decision through media usefulness. The analysis implies that school library is centered on teaching - learning process and evaluation, so information literacy education should be carried out in school curriculum and school library is required to provide students experience on media as the center of school education.

The research is intended to establish the importance of background knowledge in reading process and suggest a revitalization plan for the schema for reading education. The reading process as fundamental research and the schema conception have been studied and the present situation of reading education in the school libraries has been inspected. This research reviewed the reading strategies which school libraries require for the revitalization of the schema and based on this data, a method of SQ3R reading has been applied and a class model developed. As an outcome, a guidance plan for instruction was proposed and learning-activity materials applying graphic organizer have been produced. Subsequently, a class in school library was conducted. Following the outcome of the class and an expert's review of the class model, this research has developed a class model for the revitalization of the schema for reading education in school libraries.
