  • We must have a schema conflict resolution method for integrating local schema on content integration and management system. But The Past method is inconsistent and depends on local and global databases. In this paper, we propose the management method of schema confilct using XML that can represent and interchange the structual information of schema.

  • A distributed DBMS integrates local schemas that are independently designed, maintained, and managed by different users at each site providing a global virtual schema. This global schema supports users at a specific site to transparently utilize local database at different sites. The security features of the local schema should also not be changed in the global schema integrating security features of each local schema. Researches on the integration of security features into local schema in distributed DBMS environment, however, are very rate. This pater using the multilevel secure object-oriented database model(as the model for the definition of a local schema in distributed environment) which is an extension of the object-oriented models. It also suggests eight integration methods that can maintain the security features of local schemas. The eight methods are classified by the object classes and by relationships among them.

  • Large sets of conceptual schema have been constructed for database design. In recent times, the need of analytic aid for schema reuse is increasing. In this paper, it is presented analysis technique of conceptual schema, and experimented schema analysis for extraction of reference schema. It is desirable for integration of related schema to have been applied in case of similarity value above 0.6. Reference schema which is created through the analysis technique enable to describe concepts of them and can be the way of schema reuse. And a feature analysis can be effective measure to set details of analytic data which is necessary for extraction of reference schema.

  • The role of product model in CIM environemt(where such heterogenous application programs as CAD, CAE, CAM, Database, and Expert Systems are included) is system integration. Product model manages all the information related to manufacuring activities. This information includes shapes, operation, process, scheduling, quality, and mangement. Product model architecture includes product model kernel, object schema, model manipulation language, and user interface. Objects to be shared are defined using the model manipulation luage and the defintions are saved in the object schema. In this paper, we present the design and implementation of a prototype. In this prototype, application programs for CAPP(Computer Aided Process Planning) are used.

  • An equivalent schema matching among several different source schemas is very important for information integration or mining on the XML based World Wide Web. Finding most similar source schema corresponding mediated schema is a major bottleneck because of the arbitrary nesting property and hierarchical structures of XML DTD schemas. It is complex and both very labor intensive and error prune job. In this paper, we present the first complex matching of XML schema, i.e. XML DTD, inlining two dimensional DTD graph into flat feature values. The proposed method captures not only schematic information but also integrity constraints information of DTD to match different structured DTD. We show the integrity constraints based hierarchical schema matching is more semantic than the schema matching only to use schematic information and stored data.

  • There is general agreement that the problem of data semantics has to be addressed for XML data to become machine-processable. This problem can be tackled by defining a semantic mapping between an XML schema and an ontology. Unfortunately, creating such mappings is a tedious, time-consuming, and error-prone task. To alleviate this problem, we present a solution that heuristically discovers semantic mappings between XML schemas and ontologies. The solution takes as input an initial set of simple correspondences between element attributes in an XML schema and class attributes in an ontology, and then generates a set of mapping formulas. Once such a mapping is created, it is important and necessary to maintain the consistency of the mapping when the associated XML schema and ontology evolve. In this paper, we first offer a mapping formalism to represent semantic mappings. Second, we present our heuristic mapping discovery algorithm. Third, we show through an empirical study that considerable effort can be saved when discovering complex mappings by using our prototype tool. Finally, we propose a mapping maintenance plan dealing with schema evolution. Our study provides a set of effective solutions for building sustainable semantic integration systems for XML data.

  • In this paper, we propose a technique to analyze similarity between SQL queries and to assist integrating similar tables. First, the table information was extracted from the SQL queries through the query structure analyzer, and the similarity between the tables was measured using the Jacquard index technique. Then, similar table clusters are generated through hierarchical cluster analysis method and the co-occurence probability of the table used in the query is calculated. The possibility of integrating similar tables is classified by using the possibility of co-occurence of similarity table and table, and classifying them into an integrable cluster, a cluster requiring expert review, and a cluster with low integration possibility. This technique analyzes the SQL query in practice and analyse the possibility of table integration independent of the existing business, so that the existing schema can be effectively reconstructed without interruption of work or additional cost.

  • Information integration for distributed and heterogeneous data sources is still an open challenging, and schema matching is critical in this process. This paper presents and approach to automatic elements matching between XML application schemas using similarity measure and relaxation labeling. The semantic modeling of XML application schema has also been presented. The similarity measure method considers element categories and their properties. In an effort to achieve an optimal matching, contextual constraints are used in the relaxation labeling method. Based on the semantic modeling of XML application schemas, the compatible constraint coefficients are devised in terms of the structures and semantic relationships as defined in the semantic model. To examine the effectiveness of the proposed methods, an algorithm for XML schema matching has been developed, and corresponding computational experiments show changes of calculated values.

  • This Study aimed at suggesting the plan for accumulating and utilizing schedule information of IFC file in BIM-based delivery system. For this Propose, First, literature review is conducted for analyzing utilization plan of schedule information and the IFC standard. Second, Schedule Planning process is analyzed to draw Schedule elements, and schedule information items is derived by analyzing schedule process and commercial software. Also, schedule elements in the IFC schema is derived by analyzing IFC schema through drawn schedule information. Finally, this study suggests a concept model accumulating and utilizing Schedule information included in IFC schema, and a conceptual delivery process of BIM model by analyzing BIM Application Guideline for Facility Project by PPS (Public Procurement Service) for accumulating IFC delivery files This study will expects to contribute to accumulate information of BIM model at the point of nationally introducing BIM.
