발전소 보일러 급수 주제어 시스템의 개발 (The Development of Boiler Feedwater Master Control System for Power Plant)

  • Almost domestic power plants are being operated by foreign distributed control system. Many korean power plants are being operated over their lifetime so they need to be retrofitted. So we are developing the distributed control system to solve this problem by our own technique. The simulator was already made to verify the reliability of the algorithms. The unit loop function tests of all algorithms were finished in the actual distributed control system for installation of power plant and their results were satisfactory. The unit loop function tests are for each unit equipment algorithm. So the total operation tests will be made with all algorithms together in the actual distributed control system to be applied to power plant. When the verification through all tests is finished, algorithms with hardware will be scheduled to be installed and operated in the actual power plant. This research result will contribute to the safe operation of the deteriorated power plant and korean electric power supply as well as domestic technical progress. This entire processes and results for the development are written for the example of boiler feedwater master algorithm out of all algorithms in this paper.

  • Workflow Management System (WFMS) is a software system to support an efficient execution, control and management of complex business processes. Since traditional commercial systems mainly focus on automating processes, they don't have methods for enhancing the task performer's efficiency. In this paper, we propose a new method of executing business processes more efficiently in that a whole process is scheduled considering the degree of the participants' workload. The method allows managing the largest constraints among constituent resources of the process. We utilize DBR scheduling techniques to develop the method. We first consider the differences between workflow process models and DBR application models, and then develop the modified drum, buffer and rope. This leads us to develop WF-DBR (WorkFlow-DBR) that can control the proper size of the task performers' work list and arrival rate of process instances. Use of WF-DBR improves the efficiency of the whole process as well as the participants' working condition. We then carry out a set of simulation experiments and compare the effectiveness of our approach with that of scheduling techniques used in existing systems.

  • In this article, we present the development of the automated system for adjusting the 6 D.O.F circular fixator. The system includes scheduling software to adjust the Hexapod Circular Fixator (HCF) and an automated strut system with the ability of the multiple synchronized motion. HCF was designed to control a 6 degree-of-freedom Ilizarove fixator and it's mechanism is known as the Stewart Platform. HCF scheduler evaluates each value of altered length of the HCF struts to correct the complex skeletal deformity by using the X-ray data of the patient. The data of HCF scheduler feed into the automated strut system which be able to provide the scheduled adjustment and the automated strut is synchronized by input data.

단독 경막외 통증자가조절법과 지속주입을 병용한 경막외 통증자가조절법의 비교 (Comparison of Patient Controlled Epidural Analgesia Alone and Patient Controlled Epidural Analgesia with Continuous Infusion)

  • Background: The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is any advantage for a continuous background infusion during patient controlled epidural analgesia(PCEA) for postoperative pain control. Methods: 60 patients scheduled for elective cesarean section under epidural anesthesia were assigned randomly in a double-blind fashion to receive fentanyl and bupivacaine by PCEA with or without background infusion for 48 hours postoperatively. Results: Total amount of fentanyl and bupivacaine consumption and degree of sedation were not significantly different between the two groups. Visual analogue scale(VAS) pain scores at 24, 36, and 48h and sleep disturbance were significantly lower in background infusion group. Conclusion: Administration of fentanyl with bupivacaine by continuous background infusion is appropriate for PCEA for postcesarean section pain control.

  • This paper deals with a robust controller for an induction motor (IM) which is represented as a linear parameter varying systems. To do so linear matrix inequality (LMI) based approach and robust Lyapunov feedback are associated. This approach is related to the fact that the synthesis of a linear parameter varying (LPV) feedback controller for the inner loop take into account rotor resistance and mechanical speed as varying parameter. An LPV flux observer is also synthesized to estimate rotor flux providing reference to cited above regulator. The induction motor is described as a polytopic LPV system because of speed and rotor resistance affine dependence. Their values can be estimated on line during systems operations. The simulation and experimental results largely confirm the effectiveness of the proposed control.

  • It is known that reactive component of AC power in the power system gives no energy to outside and cuses enlargiment of power apparatus, voltage fluctuation and unstability of power system. The power conversion system and control system which are composed of power semiconductor devices such as tyristor, transistor, GTO and so on have been appeared as new sources of reactive power. So the cmpensation of reactive power in power semiconductor systems is one of impending problem on the point of energy conservation and inprovement of power factor. This paper treates the fundamental review of the current type power compensation system that compensates the reactive power by MOSFET inverter. This inverter detects not only the reactive power of fundamental wave but also that of all harmoics created in the power semiconductor system and is scheduled to control by sampled value.

Kalman Filtering with Optimally Scheduled Measurements in Bandwidth Limited Communication Media

  • A method is proposed for scheduling sensor accesses to the shared network in a networked control system. The proposed method determines the access order in which the sensors are granted medium access through minimization of the state estimation error covariance. Solving the problem by evaluating the error covariance for each possible ordered set of sensors is not practical for large systems. Therefore, a convex optimization problem is proposed, which yields approximate yet acceptable results. A state estimator is designed for the augmented system resulting from the incorporation of the optimally chosen communication sequence in the plant dynamics. A car suspension system simulation is conducted to test the proposed method. The results show promising improvement in the state estimation performance by reducing the estimation error norm compared to round-robin scheduling.

  • In this study, as a part developing an unmanned container terminal (UCT), Ive designed and implemented an Autonomous Ground Vehicle (AGV) that can deliver containers in the port fast and safely as they are scheduled. It is preferable to research the intelligent UCT/AGV for delivering containers all day long without causing any trouble. For the sake of safe and fast AGV driving, we implemented a multiple-sensor system with vision, ultrasonic, and IR sensors and we adapted the hight-speed wireless LAN that satisfies the IEEE 802.11 Standard for hi-directional communication between the main processor in AGV and a host computer. The Pentium-III processor board mounted on the bottom frame in AGV combines and computes the information from sensors and controls the AGV driving. There are also the 80C196KC micro-controllers to control the actuating and steering motors. In addition, a steering function that is defined newly in this paper is heavily concerned in the mechanical design, and it plays an important role when AGV moves along a curve. Experimental results show the fast and safe delivery operations are possible with this UCT/AGV

  • The pitch control system in wind turbines becomes more and more important as the wind turbines are larger in multi-MW size. PI controller has been applied in most pitch controllers and it has been known that gain-scheduling is essential for pitch control of wind turbines. A demo model of 2 MW wind turbine which represents the whole dynamics of wind turbine including dynamic behaviors of blade, tower and rotational shaft is given in the commercial Bladed S/W for real wind turbines. In this paper, some results on step responses of the pitch PI controller and effectiveness of gain-scheduled pitch PI controller are presented through the Bladed S/W for the 2 MW wind turbine.
