Thallium-201 scintigraphy is used to discriminate the malignant bone tumor from the benign by qualitatively and quantitatively, and to predict the response of preoperative chemotherapy in osteosarcoma, by comparing the changes of thallium uptake ratio after chemotherapy to the tumor necrosis ratio. Thallium-201 scintigraphy scan should be done prior to surgical biopsy. PICKER Prism 2000 gamma camera with high resolution parallel hole collimator is usually used for scanning. The patient is injected with 2-3mCi of Tl-201 and the early phase is checked in 30 minutes and delayed phase in 3 hours. The scan images are visually evaluated by a blinded nuclear medicine physician. We could evaluate true positive, true negative, false positive and false negative by the comparison of results with those of biopsy, and calculate positive and negative predictive value(%), sensitivity(%), specificity(%) and diagnostic accuracy(%). For the quantitative analysis of thallium uptake, we drew the region of interest on the tumor side and contralateral normal side as mirror image, and calculated the uptake ratio with dividing the amount of gamma count in tumor side by normal side. We could calculate the percent changes of thallium uptake ratio in early and delayed phase, and compare them to the ratio of tumor necrosis. Thallium-201 scintigraphy proved as useful imaging study to discriminate malignant bone tumor from benign, but had exception in giant cell tumor and low grade malignant bone tumors. We can use T1-201 scan to differentiate the benign from the malignant tumor, and to evaluate the response of preoperative chemotherapy or radiotherapy, and to determine the residual tumor or local recurrence. For the better result, we need to have a more detail information about false positive cases and a more objective and quantitative reading technique.

Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) is a useful rapid prototyping technique for the manufacture of three dimensional (3D) solid objects directly from a scanning data. A new approach called a Selective Multi-Laser Sintering (SMLS) system has been developed at Korea Institute Machinery & Materials (KIMM) as an industrial type SFFS. This SMLS machine is built with a frame, heaters, nitrogen supply part, laser system. This system uses the dual laser and 3D scanner made in $Solutionix^{TM}$ to improve the precision and speed for large objects. The three-dimensional solid objects are made of polyamide powder. The investigation on each part of SMLS system is performed to determine the proper theirs design and the effect of experimental parameters on making the 3D objects. The temperature of the system has a great influence on sintering the polymer. Because the stability of the powder temperature prevents the deformation of each layer, the controls of the temperature in both the system and the powders are very important during the process. Therefore, we simulated the temperature distribution of build room using the temperature analysis with ANSYS program. Selected radiant heater is used to raise temperature of powder to melting point temperature. The laser parameters such as scan spacing, scan speed, laser power and laser delay time affect the production the 3D objects too. The combination of the slow scan speed and the high laser power shows the good results without the layer curling. The work is under way to evaluate the effect of experimental parameters on process and to produce the various objects. We are going to experiment continuously to improve the size accuracy and surface roughness.

This paper proposes an interconnect delay fault test (IDFT) solution on boards and SoCs based on IEEE 1149.1 and IEEE P1500. A new IDFT system clock rising edge generator which forces output boundary scan cells to update test data at the rising edge of system clock and input boundary scan cells to capture the test data at the next rising edge of the system clock is introduced. Using this proposed circuit, IDFT for interconnects synchronized to different system clocks in frequency can be achieved efficiently. Moreover, the proposed IDFT technique does not require any modification of the boundary scan cells or the standard TAP controller is simple in terms of test procedure and is small in terms of area overhead.
This paper aims to delineate Central Business District(CBD) and subcentres of Seoul and compare the functional differences of them by spatial scan statistics. Most existing studies to delimit Seoul CBD have two limits in the methods to make boundaries. First, most Seoul CBD-defining studies presuppose some central area contains CBD and look into just that area in a concentrating manner because it is too difficult to collect the data in a whole city boundary. Therefore the CBD areas have been localized in that study areas. But I analysed the data of the whole area of Seoul and was able to define the CBD and subcentres of Seoul. Second, I analysed the data by a spatial scan statistics technique and was able to minimize the number of subjective items in constructing some conditions for CBD. The CBD area in this study is enlarged eastward over East Gate, a national treasure in Seoul, than the areas in existing studies. In the contrary, westwardly, our CBD is set back a little. The two competing central places in Seoul, CBD and Gangnam have some different specialized subareas. CBD has more governing authorities and wholesale stores and Gangnam has many conglomerates HQs, Offices and cosmetic clinics.

This paper presents a new low power BIST TPG scheme. It uses a transition monitoring window (TMW) that is comprised of a transition monitoring window block and a MUX. When random test patterns are generated by an LFSR, transitions of those patterns satisfy pseudo-random gaussian distribution. The Proposed technique represses transitions of patterns using a k-value which is a standard that is obtained from the distribution of U to observe over transitive patterns causing high power dissipation in a scan chain. Experimental results show that the Proposed BIST TPG schemes can reduce scan transition by about $60\%$ without performance loss in ISCAS'89 benchmark circuits that have large number scan inputs.
In the past few years, scintigraphy has become increasingly important in clinical practice, and the use of a color-printing technique has permited a more accurate interpretation of the scan image. Our liver color scintigrams consist of 51 hepatomas, 35 liver cirrhosis, 22 liver abscessis, 10 hepatitis and other 13 cases of the liver diseases which were clinically arid pathologically diagnosed at Sevarance Hospital, Yonsei Univ., since Feb. 1969 through Sept. 1969. These scintigrams have been analized in terms of various pathologic morphology, such as size, shape, margin of the liver, distribution of radioactivity, and shape of the space occupying lesions. The results are as follows: 1. Enlargement of the liver was the most common finding in the diseased livers. The Rt. lobe enlargement was particularly prominent in the liver abscess. 2. Irregular distribution of radioactivity in the liver (so called mottling) was present in 78% of hepatoma, while it was seen only in 31% of liver abscesses. 3. Liver cirrhosis tends to show perihilar accumulation of the isotope (57%). 4. The deformity of the lower most angle of the Rt. lobe, and the Lt. lateral margin of the Lt. lobe was also impressive throughout the cases ($74{\sim}95%$ of all diseased livers). 5. The frequency of visualization of the spleen was influenced by the size of space occupying lesions and the amount of functioning liver. 6. Differentiation between the liver abscess and hepatoma seems to be possible on scintigram, when shape and margin of defect and patterns of distribution of radioactivity in the remaining liver are clearly demonstrated.

In this paper, we propose a new X-masking scheme for utilizing logic built-in self-test The new scheme exploits the phase-shifting network which is based on the shift-and-add property of maximum length pseudorandom binary sequences(m-sequences). The phase-shifting network generates mask-patterns to multiple scan chains by appropriately shifting the m-sequence of an LFSR. The number of shifts required to generate each scan chain mask pattern can be dynamically reconfigured during a test session. An iterative simulation procedure to synthesize the phase-shifting network is proposed. Because the number of candidates for phase-shifting that can generate a scan chain mask pattern are very large, the proposed X-masking scheme reduce the hardware overhead efficiently. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed X-masking technique requires less storage and hardware overhead with the conventional methods.
The computed tomogrpahy(CT) provides a high quality in images of human body but contributes to the relatively high patient dose. The frequency of CT examination is increasing and, therefore, the concerns about the patient dose are also increasing. In this study the experimental determination of patient dose was performed by using a physical anthropomorphic phantom and thermoluminescent dosimeter(TLD). The measurements were done for the both axial and spiral scan mode. As a result the effective doses for each scan mode were 17.78mSv and 10.01 mSv respectively and the fact that the degree of the reduction in the patient dose depends on the pitch scan parameter was confirmed. The measurement methods suggested in this study can be applied for the reassessment of the patient dose when the technique in CT equipment is developed or the protocol for CT scanning is changed.
Purpose : To determine if ultrasonography is a reliable technique to assess masseter muscle sites within intra- and interobserver and the scanning level and/or the muscle condition affect local cross-sectional dismension (LCSD) measurements of masseter muscle. Materials and Methods : 10 subjects without sign and symptom of temporomandibular disorders and missing posterior teeth were examined by ultrasonography. Bilateral ultrasonographic examinations were performed with a linear (B-scan) 7.5 MHz small-part transducer to register LCSDS of the masseter muscle on three different levels. Scans were made on relaxed and clenching condition. Three oral and maxillofacial radiologists measured at two sessions with a time interval of at least 5 minutes. Results : Variables such as 'condition' and 'level' had a significant effect on muscle measurements (p<0.05). There was no significant difference between 'sessions'(p>0.05) and 'observers' (p>0.05). LCSDS on lower scan level were significantly thinner than those on upper and middle level. Those on clenching condition were significantly thicker than those on relaxed condition (p<0.05). The scanning level with the highest reproducibility was middle with clenching condition (ICC=0.90, $MSE=0.55\%$). Conclusion : The data suggested that ultrasonography was a reliable method for measuring LSCD of masseter muscle in intra- and Interobserver and middle scan level showed the most reliable data.
Ortho-photos provide valuable spatial and spectral information for various Geographic Information System (GIS) and mapping applications. The absence of relief displacement and the uniform scale in ortho-photos enable interested users to measure distances, compute areas, derive geographic locations, and quantify changes. Differential rectification has traditionally been used for ortho-photo generation. However, differential rectification produces serious problems (in the form of ghost images) when dealing with large scale imagery over urban areas. To avoid these artifacts, true ortho-photo generation techniques have been devised to remove ghost images through visibility analysis and occlusion detection. So far, the Z-buffer method has been one of the most popular methods for true ortho-photo generation. However, it is quite sensitive to the relationship between the cell size of the Digital Surface Model (DSM) and the Ground Sampling Distance (GSD) of the imaging sensor. Another critical issue of true ortho-photo generation using high resolution satellite imagery is the scan line search. In other words, the perspective center corresponding to each ground point should be identified since we are dealing with a line camera. This paper introduces alternative methodology for true ortho-photo generation that circumvents the drawbacks of the Z-buffer technique and the existing scan line search methods. The experiments using real data are carried out while comparing the performance of the proposed and the existing methods through qualitative and quantitative evaluations and computational efficiency. The experimental analysis proved that the proposed method provided the best success ratio of the occlusion detection and had reasonable processing time compared to all other true ortho-photo generation methods tested in this paper.
