Purpose : In this study, task performance and job satisfaction of nurses in non-life insurance companies were examined to improve the personnel management in their companies. Method : Data collection was done with 119 nurses in non-life insurance companies in October and November, 1999. Data analyses were performed using SPSS Win 8.0 package. Result: The Results were as follows: 1. The tasks most commonly performed by nurses were 'medical fee inspection', 'education for staves', 'management of the injured', 'management of injury and disablement'. 2. The mean score of total job satisfaction was 3.2(interaction. 3.8; professional status, 3.6; autonomy, 3.4; task requirements, 3.1; administration, 2.8; pay and advancement, 2.6). 3. Task performance was significantly correlated with job satisfaction total score(r=0.478, p<.01). The item, 'executing statistical works and data analyses related with injury and disablement', was highly correlated with job satisfaction total score(r=0.418, p<.01). 4. The amount of task performance was significantly correlated with educational background and position. The job satisfaction level significantly correlated with personal experience and position. Conclusion : To improve the work efficiency and job satisfaction in the companies, it is necessary to set the bounds of task performance and to enlarge the promotion opportunities to higher positions.
The purpose of present study were to find the general trends of mate selecting factors and. marital satisfaction. concentrated on married women, to examine the difference among mate selection factors and marital satisfaction according to socio-demographic variables and Psychological variables and to analyze the effects of these variables influencing marital satisfaction. The subjects were 276 wives, living in Kwangju that having passed under S years after marriage without divorce experience. The major findings were as follows . 1. In mate selection, factor of high-degree was personality. view of value. personal relations, achievement, emotional mature. self-differentiation. degree of affection's expression. sense of humor, charms and condition of health Respondents'marital satisfaction score showed 91.75 and this score was higher than median score(62.5) 2. The external factor of mate selection showed significant difference according to degree of education. career. order. and sex-role attitude. The internal factor of mate selection showed significant difference according to degree of education, career, order, self-differentiation, self-esteem, and sex-role attitude 3. As correlating mate selectional factors to marital satisfaction, the significance appears in the mate's personality. view of value, emotional mature. personal relations. self-differentiation, condition of health. achievement. charm, sense of humor and degree of affection's expression. 4. Married women's marital satisfaction was influenced by self-esteem, personality and child's number that were explained about 38% by these variables. In conclusion, to happy marital life must be loved her own self. and above all considered internal factors like personality than external factors in mate selection.
This study executed to offer the basis for dental technology student who chanced better clinical training. This investigation conducted on 267 of seniors who have been taken clinical training to self written a questionnaire. We used and dealt a spss 12.0 program. Study results below 1. In a question about relationship, one answered "Harmonious" took largest proportion by 40.9% during training, and about the degree of satisfaction of campus life who answered :normal: were the most with 50.0% 2. In a question about clinical training place, most(50.0%) choose place less than 10 for clinical training, and more than 10 for clinical training with 29.7%. Residue statues was most of them resided own home with 78.6%. About their commuting time from home to training place, 50.0% was under 30min, 34.1% took time 30$\sim$60min. 3. In a question about clinical trainer, most (34.4%) choose as dental lab president, as each part manager with 34.1%, a senior with 7.6% and not exist to clinical trainer with 7.6%. 4. A perfect score about teaching efficiency and satisfaction of clinical practice of dental technology students was 5. The average of score about satisfaction of clinical practice was 3.25 and circumstance of clinical training got 3.50 as a highest score. the lowest score was 2.87 that is about satisfaction of clinical training period. The average of score of teaching efficiency was 3.25. 'a Role model' got 3.55 as the highest score and 'utility for student' got 3.12 as the lowest 3.12. 5. The result of T-test to see of the satisfaction according to the general character and clinic training condition between teaching efficiency is that the degree of satisfaction of clinical training showed statistical significance only in the degree of satisfaction of college life(p<0.05), teaching efficiency has a statistical significance with age and satisfaction of college life(p<0.05). 6. The relation between of teaching efficiency of clinical training and satisfaction of clinical training of dental technologic student has a statistical relation r=0.551 and a statistical meaning in significance leveler 0.01.
Purpose: This study was conducted to evaluate life satisfaction(LS) and to assess the factors that influence LS in senior center elderly people. Methods: The subjects were 253 elders who visited the Y city Senior Welfare Center between July 2006 and August 2006. Data were collected using structured questionnaires. The instruments were composed of Kang's Family Support Scale, Depression Scale by Sheikh & Yesavage, Laffery's Health Concept Scale, and LS scale by Choi. T-test, ANOVA, Duncan test, Pearson coefficients correlation and stepwise multiple regression were used to analyze the data using the SPSS Win 12.0 program. Results: The LS level showed a maximum score of 38 with a mean score of 23.23. The mean scores for depression, health perception and family support were 5.52(maximum score, 15), 77.46(maximum score, 112), 43.45(maximum score, 55) respectively. The LS were significantly correlated with health perception, depression and family support. Depression was the most powerful predictor of and it accounted for 42.0% of the total variance in LS. A combination of significance of eudaimonistic health perception and satisfaction with pocket money accounted for 47.2% in LS. Conclusion: Depression and health perception were identified as affecting variables for the LS. Based upon these results, nurses should help the aged to enhance their LS.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to provide basic data for the improvement of the quality in the emergency nursing services by investigating the expectation level and actual received level with nursing care and identifying the factors that influence patient satisfaction with the emergency nursing care in the military hospitals. Method: Using a self report questionnaire, data were collected from 150 patients who had been admitted in military hospitals emergency department. The data collection was done between April 17 and April 30, 2006. At least, 145 questionnaires were analyzed and used in this study. Results: The average sum score was 61.93 out of 76 with standard deviation 9.590. The mean of the patient's expectation levels with the overall emergency nursing services was $(3.25{\pm}.504)$ out of the highest score 4. the average sum score was 63.27 out of 76 with standard deviation 9.902. The mean score of the patient's actual levels with the overall emergency nursing services was $(3.33{\pm}.521)$ out of the highest score 4. Conclusion: nursing management strategies must be established to remove patient's dissatisfaction factors and to improve the emergency nursing care quality through continuous measurement and assessment of the patient's satisfaction with emergency nursing services in military hospitals.
The objective of this study was analyze the relationship among emotional intelligence, job attitude (job satisfaction, organizational commitment, turnover intention), and organizational performance in kitchen staff. A survey collected data from foodservice employees (N=611). Statistical analyses were completed using SPSS Win (17.0) for descriptive analysis, reliability analysis, factor analysis, t-test, correlation analysis, and AMOS (7.0) for confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling. The main results of this study were as follows. The four EI (Emotional Intelligence) dimensions significantly correlated with age. The mean of the job satisfaction score was 3.24. The organizational commitment score was 3.54. The organizational commitment score was higher for 'loyalty' factor than for 'sense of belongs' factor. The mean of organizational performance score was 3.61. The four EI(Emotional Intelligence) factors were significantly correlated with job satisfaction (organizational commitment, organizational performance, and turnover intension). Structural equation modeling found that emotional intelligence had positive effects on job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and organizational performance, whereas job satisfaction and organizational performance had positive effects on organizational performance. Therefore, this study found that emotional intelligence had direct and indirect effects on organizational performance.
The purpose of this study was to determine the level of family functioning and the degree of patient satisfaction for 102 patients who received home health care nursing service. The results are as follows ; 1. The score assessed for the family functioning was averaged at the score of $4.95{\pm}3.11$ (10 perfect score) and this was regarded as low, especially for the patients with chronic illness, and the reason was assumed due to poor psychological support from the family members and high expectations from the patients. 2. Patient satisfaction levels were toward the received services were high, according to the 13 items which consited of 3 point scales, with average score of $1.27{\pm}0.53$. Based on the above study results, the author suggests the followings : 1. A new nursing service program and model devolopment should be established and utilized because of low family functioning levels of those who receive family nursing service. 2. More standardized tool explorations for the study of family nursing service and patient satisfaction are required.
Purpose: This study was done to identify satisfaction with the method of evaluating practical skills in fundamental nursing through cellular phone animation self-monitoring and feedback. Method: The participants were 163 first-year student nurses. Data were collected from October 1 to 5 2007 using a structured questionnaire. Results: The average score for satisfaction was 3.65(${\pm}.69$) and the highest score was for the item, "I was pleased to have the opportunity of relearning by looking back at my behaviors through self monitoring" with 4.05(${\pm}.89$). The average score for dissatisfaction was 3.23(${\pm}.90$) and the highest score was "I memorized only orders according to the checklist" with 3.65(${\pm}.97$). The practical tests method showed a significant difference according to motivation for application to college of nursing (F=3.11, p=.047). There was a significant positive correlation between practical education satisfaction and test method (r=.363, p=.000). Conclusion: These findings show that there is a need to develop strategies to improve practical test methods for student nurses.
Purpose: This study was done to describe the correlation among the blue color worker's health-promoting behavior, occupational life-satisfaction and self-esteem. Method: The subjects consisted of 190 industrial workers employed in one electronics manufacturing plant in Gumi and were obtained by a convenience sample. Data were collected from October 6th to 17th, 2002 by structured questionnaires. The instruments for this study were Health Promoting Lifestyle Profile(47 items), Occupational Life-satisfaction Scale(20 items) and Self-esteem Scale(10 items). Frequency, percentage, t-test, ANOVA, Duncan test and Pearson's correlation coefficient with SAS program were used to analyze the data. Result: 1) The average item score for the health-promoting behavior was 3.01; the highest score on the subscale was self-actualization(M=3.39) with the lowest being exercise(M=2.37). 2) The average item score for the occupational life-satisfaction was 2.96. 3) The average item score for the self-esteem was 2.83. 4) Health-promoting behavior was significantly different according to educational level and age. 5) Occupational life satisfaction was significantly different according to age and religion. 6) Self-esteem was significantly different according to age. 7) Health-promoting behavior was positively related to occupational life-satisfaction and self-esteem. The occupational life-satisfaction was positively related to self-esteem. Conclusion : It follows from this study that there is a very correlation among the blue color worker's health-promoting behavior, occupational life-satisfaction and self-esteem. Therefore health promoting programs that increase occupational life- satisfaction and self-esteem should be developed to promote a healthy lifestyle of the blue color workers.
This study was conducted to explore the level of sexual satisfaction in married women. This is a descriptive study. The data was collected from July 19 to Aug 10, 1997 utilizing a questionnaire developed by researchers. Sexual satisfaction(a=,926) was measured by the Sexual satisfaction scale(Kim at el, 1997) which is consisted of 17-items. And data was analysed using SPSS /PC+7.5. The following is a summary of the study. 1. The study surveyed a total of 400 married women from Seoul, Kyungki do. and Pusan. The mean age of the subjects was 38.61 years with the range from 22 to 69 years. A large proportion of the subjects(69.3%) had received a high school education or further education. In terms of the marital satisfaction, 68.6% of subjects were moderately or highly satisfied : 6.8% were dissatisfied. 2. The mean score and standard deviation of the sexual satisfaction was 42.74$\pm$10.42 with the range from 17 to 68 score. 3. The variables influencing on sexual satisfaction were age, education level, income. job, stress. and perceived marital satisfaction.
