플라이오메트릭 트레이닝이 태권 시범 선수들의 서전트 점프, 자세 조절 및 하체 부상 준거에 미치는 영향 (Effects of plyometric training on Sargent jump, posture control and lower extremity injury criterion in Taekwondo demonstrator)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 6주간의 플라이오메트릭 트레이닝이 태권 시범선수의 서전트 점프, 자세 조절 및 하체 부상 준거에 미치는 영향을 보고자 하였다. 이 연구에 참여한 대상자는 대학 태권 시범선수 20명을 대상으로 운동군 10명과 통제군 10명을 무작위로 분류하였다. 운동군은 주 3회, 60분, 6주간 실시하였고, 통제군은 일반적인 훈련을 하였으며, 사전 사후 서전트 점프, 배근력, 자세 조절 및 하체 부상 준거를 측정하였다. 연구 결과, 배근력에서는 유의하지 않았으나 서전트 점프에서는 유의한 증가가 있었다. 자세조절에서는 앞쪽은 경우 유의하지 않았으나 좌·우 후방 외쪽과 안쪽에서는 유의한 증가가 있었고, 종합점수 결과 하체 부상의 위험성은 없는 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로 플라이오메트릭 트레이닝은 순발력, 자세 조절, 하체 부상 방지 및 재활에 적극적으로 활용할 필요가 있는 훈련 방법이다.

The Immediate Effects of Dynamic Stretching and Static Stretching Using a Wedge Board on the Balance Ability and Jump Function of Healthy Adult

  • Purpose: This study aims to measure the improvement of balanced ability and rapid response of 30 healthy adults by performing dynamic stretching, static stretching, and sargent jump. Methods: The sample 30 peoples without any musculoskeletal disease who volunteered to be the subject of the study. We measured all subjects on following metrics to evaluate the function and stability under the normal condition, with dynamic stretching (DS) group, static stretching (SS) group: vertical jump height and reaching distance Anterior, Posteromedial, Posterolateral and NO (Normal eye open), NC (Normal eye close), PO (Pillow with eye open), and PC (Pillow with close eye) were evaluated. All measures were analyzed using independent t-test and One-way repeated Anova. Results: There was a significant increase in SJH (Sargent jump) in both groups (p<0.05). In Y-balance test, there was a significant increase in both groups except for the ANT (Anterior) direction, and there was a significant increase only in the SS group in the ANT (Anterior) direction (p<0.05). There was no significant difference between the DS group and the SS group (p>0.05). There was no significant improvement in ST (Stability Index) and WDI (Weight Distribution Index) in both groups (p>0.05). Conclusion: Both DS and SS showed significant improvement in SJH and Y-balance tests, which are dynamic functions, but had no significant effect on static balance ability.

  • 이 연구의 목적은 8주간의 플라이오메트릭 훈련이 대학 태권도 시범단의 순발력, 동적 평형성 및 관절 위치감각에 미치는 영향을 분석하고자 하였다. 태권도 시범 전공 대학생 20명을 훈련군 10명, 통제군 10명으로 분류한 후 운동군은 주 3회, 60분, 8주간 플라이오메트릭 훈련을 하였다. 측정 변인은 제자리높이뛰기, 제자리멀리뛰기, 배근력, 동적 평형성 및 관절 위치감각으로 사전 사후 측정하였다. 연구 결과, 제자리높이뛰기와 멀리뛰기 및 배근력에서 유의한 운동의 효과가 있었다(p<.05). 동적 평형성은 후방 바깥쪽과(p<.01) 후방 안쪽에서(p<.05) 유의한 운동의 효과가 있었다. 관절 위치감각은 왼발 15°와(p<.01) 45°에서는(p<.05) 운동군에서 유의한 효과가 있었다. 이상의 결과 8주간의 플라이오메트릭 훈련은 태권도 시범선수의 순발력과 동적 평형성 및 관절 위치감각에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

  • 무릎관절의 굽힘근과 폄근은 신체의 안정성을 유지하는 데 필수적이다. 본 연구는 무릎 굽힘근 및 폄근의 등속성 파라미터와 하지 근육 기능의 상관관계를 조사하고자 하였다. 22명의 건강한 성인이 본 연구에 참여하였습니다. 무릎 굽힘근 및 폄근의 time to peak torque (TTP), acceleration time (AT), peak torque (PT)가 측정되었습니다. 하지 기능 평가를 위해 20m sprint, Sargent jump, one leg hop test, and side shuffle이 측정되었습니다. 각 변수들 간의 상관관계가 Pearson correlation coefficient을 사용하여 분석되었습니다. knee flexor의 PT는 single leg hops and 6M hops in a single leg와 유의한 상관관계를 나타내었다. knee extensors의 PT는 Sargent jumps and triple hops와 유의한 상관관계가 갖는 것으로 발견되었다. 본 연구 결과를 기반으로 무릎 굽힘근 및 폄근의 근력이 하지 기능을 예측하는 데 사용될 수 있는 가능성이 있음을 시사한다.

엉덩관절 관절가동술과 자가-운동이 엘리트 배드민턴 선수의 관절가동성과 신체균형능력, 점프력, 스매시 속도에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Manual Mobilization and Self-exercise on Hip Joint Mobility, Body Balance, Sargent Jump and Smash Speed in Elite Badminton Players )

  • PURPOSE: This study examined the effects of various interventions for improving the hip joint range of motion on elite badminton players, including body balance ability, jumping power, smash speed, and joint range of motion. METHODS: The study was conducted on elite badminton players belonging to the S badminton team in Yongin, Gyeonggi-do, and the M badminton team in Suwon, Gyeonggi-do. Twenty-one elite badminton players were selected; they were assigned randomly to Experimental Group 1 (n = 11) and Experimental Group 2 (n = 10). Before and after the intervention, the hip joint range of motion, modified star excursion balance test, Sargent jump, and smash speed were measured. In Experimental Group 1, hip joint manual mobilization was applied by a physical therapist, and hip self-exercise performed by the athletes was applied in Experimental Group 2. This intervention was applied once a day, three times a week, for four weeks. RESULTS: A significant increase in the hip joint range of motion (flexion and extension) and modified star excursion balance test (posteromedial direction) was observed in Experimental Group 1 (hip joint mobilization applied group) compared to Experimental Group 2 (hip joint self-exercise applied group) (p < .05). CONCLUSION: When elite level badminton players require improvement in hip flexion and extension range of motion and posteromedial body balance, hip joint mobilization is more effective than hip self-exercise application.

무릎 통증이 있는 엘리트 배드민턴 선수를 위한 건식 E-textile 전극의 EMS(Electirc muscle stimulation) 보호대 설계 및 효과 (A Study on EMS Protective Gear Design and Its Effects for Elite Badminton Players with Knee Pain)

  • This study aimed to design a knee brace with dry electrode EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation) for elite badminton players suffering from knee pain and assess its effectiveness in relieving pain and improving mobility. The assessment measured knee joint range of motion (ROM), Sargent jump height, and pain perception using a visual analog scale (VAS). Four experimental groups were established: stability, pain induction after 100 squats, muscle soreness induction with a regular knee brace, and muscle soreness induction with the EMS knee brace. The most suitable knee brace was selected from four samples to design the EMS knee brace. The conductive fabric was integrated into the inner surface of the knee brace to enhance EMS conductivity for the quadriceps muscles. Tensile strength tests showed that the dry electrode did not significantly affect the physical functionality of the knee brace.Regarding knee joint ROM and Sargent jump height, the EMS knee brace outperformed muscle soreness induction with a regular knee brace and wearing a standard knee brace. VAS measurements demonstrated that the EMS braces effectively alleviated pain perception in most cases. The results indicate the potential for developing EMS braces to alleviate pain and prevent injuries for athletes across various sports.

규칙적인 운동이 간호대학생의 체력수준에 미치는 효과 (Effect of Regular Physical Exercise on Physical Fitness Level in Nursing Students)

  • This study was to test the relationship between regular physical exercise and physical fitness in nursing students. These subjects were 54 volunteers who agreed with intention of this study and were composed of 24 active group and 30 non-active group. The selected physical fitness tests were grip strength and back strength for measuring muscular strength, sargent jump and standing broad jump for measuring power, push-up, sit-up, and heart rate for measuring total endurance, reaction time and side step test for measuring agility, stick test and stork stand for measuring balance, and trunk flexion and trunk extension for measuring flexibility. The conclusion acquired was as follows : 1) Grip strength had significant difference between active group of $29.5{\pm}5.9kg$ and non-active group $25.4{\pm}7.2kg$(t=2.283, p=.027), and back strength between active group of $54.1{\pm}13.7kg$ and non-active group of $44.7{\pm}15.7kg$(t=2.310, p=.025), 2) Sargent jump was lower with non-active group($44.9{\pm}8.6cm$) than with active group($45.3{\pm}8.8cm$), however, was not significant(t=.182, p=.856). Standing broad jump was significantly lower with non-active group of $161.3{\pm}28.7cm$ than with active group of $191.4{\pm}27.0cm$(t=3.939, p=.000). 3) Push-up showed significant difference between active group of $25.3{\pm}12.3times$ and non-active group of $11.5{\pm}5.1times$(t=5.572, p=.000), and sit-up between active group of $21.8{\pm}7.4times$ and non-active group of $17.1{\pm}5.8times$(t=2.631, p=.011), and heart rate between actvie group of $110.5{\pm}12.8$beats/min and non-active group of $121.5{\pm}9.5$beats/min(t=-3.648, p=.001). 4) Reaction time was significantly higher with non-active group of $.300{\pm}.051sec$ than with active group of $.341{\pm}.041sec$(t=-3.285, p=.002). Side step test was lower with non-active group($8.8{\pm}1.1times$) than with active group($9.2{\pm}1.2times$), however, was not significant (t=1.309, p=.196). 5) Stick test showed not significant difference between active group of $25.8{\pm}14.8sec$ and non-active group of $30.7{\pm}17.9sec$(t=-1.058, p=.295), and stork stand between active group of $4.5{\pm}3.2sec$ and non-active group of $3.7{\pm}3.5sec$(t=.918, p=.363). 6) Trunk flexion came out not significant difference between active group of $14.2{\pm}5.0cm$ and non-active group of $15.8{\pm}7.3cm$(t=-.927, p=.358), and trunk extension between active group of $67.1{\pm}6.5cm$ and non-active group of $67.3{\pm}6.6cm$(t=-.140, p=.889). 7) Power was shown to be significantly related to total endurance(r=.717, p=.000 ; r-.739, p=.000). 8) Total endurance was shown to be significantly related to agility(r=-.752, p=.000 ; r=.684, p=.000 ; r=-.664, p=.000 ; r=.598, p=.002 ; r=.864, p=.000 ; r=-.536, p=.007). These results suggest that regular physical exercise is effective in promoting and maintaining physical fitness. As the further study, it is necessary to reinvestigate the effect with more refined design.

Association of mitochondrial haplogroup F with physical performance in Korean population

  • Athletic performance is a complex multifactorial trait involving genetic and environmental factors. The heritability of an athlete status was reported to be about 70% in a twin study, and at least 155 genetic markers are known to be related with athlete status. Mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) encodes essential proteins for oxidative phosphorylation, which is related to aerobic capacity. Thus, mtDNA is a candidate marker for determining physical performance. Recent studies have suggested that polymorphisms of mtDNA are associated with athlete status and/or physical performance in various populations. Therefore, we analyzed mtDNA haplogroups to assess their association with the physical performance of Korean population. The 20 mtDNA haplogroups were determined using the SNaPshot assay. Our result showed a significant association of the haplogroup F with athlete status (odds ratio, 3.04; 95% confidence interval, 1.094 to 8.464; p = 0.012). Athletes with haplogroup F ($60.64{\pm}3.04$) also demonstrated a higher Sargent jump than athletes with other haplogroups ($54.28{\pm}1.23$) (p = 0.041). Thus, our data imply that haplogroup F may play a crucial role in the physical performance of Korean athletes. Functional studies with larger sample sizes are necessary to further substantiate these findings.

모션비트 음악을 이용한 리권운동이 성인여성의 체력 및 기분에 미치는 영향 (Effects of the Rhy-Kwon Exercise with Motion Beat Music on Physical Fitness and Mood among Adult Women)

  • Purpose: The purpose of the study was to compare the effects of the Rhy-Kwon exercise with motion beat music program to the Rhy-Kwon with ordinary beat music program on physical fitness and mood in employed women. Method: Total of 29 women who did not have any particular disease were randomly assigned either to a Rhy-Kwon with motion beat music group or to a Rhy-Kwon with ordinary beat music group. Nine subjects in each group completed posttest measures (physical fitness and mood) in 8 weeks. Results: After the 8 weeks of the study period, there were significant improvement in sargent jump and mood especially for the subscale of vigor in the Rhy-Kwon with motion beat music group compared to their counterparts. But no significant differences were found between the groups in other physical fitness measures. Conclusion: The results showed that Rhy-Kwon with motion beat music program would partially improve physical fitness and mood (vigor). Further studies are needed to confirm the effects of Rhy-Kwon with motion beat music program with various populations.

코어 훈련이 프리스타일 스키 선수들의 배근력, 서전트 점프, Y-자 검사 및 평형감각 조절 능력에 미치는 효과 (Effects of core training on abdominal muscle strength, sagent lump, Y-balance and equilibrium sensory control in freestyle skiers)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 8주간의 코어 훈련이 프리스타일 스키 선수들의 배근력, 서전트 점프, Y-자 검사 및 평형감각 조절 능력에 미치는 영향을 보고자 하였다. 14명의 프리스타일 선수를 무작위로 운동군 7명과 통제군 7명으로 분류하였다. 훈련군은 8주간의 코어 훈련을 하였고, 통제군은 일반적인 훈련을 하였다. 연구 결과 배근력과 서전트 점프에서 효과를 보였고, 집단 간 유의한 차이는 보이지 않았다. Y-자 검사의 경우 좌측 앞쪽에서 효과를 보였고, 좌·우측 좌측 후방 안쪽에서 집단 간 차이를 보였다. 종합점수의 경우 운동군은 사전의 좌·우 차이 7.5cm, 사후에서 1.66cm로 감소하였으나 통제군은 사전 3.73cm에서 사후 7.01cm로 증가한 것으로 나타났다. 평형감각 조절 능력에서는 조건 2, 5, 6에서 유의한 효과를 보였으나 집단 간의 차이는 없었다. 결론적으로, 8주간의 코어 훈련은 프리스타일 스키선수들의 자세 조절 능력에서 유익한 효과를 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
