  • Aromatherapy is used in many diseases nowdays. And, Aromatherapy is similar to historical oriental medicine. Moreover, Aroma is a popular alternative medicine like oriental medicine in these days. We used for all kinds of diseases with aroma herbs, especially in ENT and dermatological disese. We must be a bridge over oriental and western medicine with aromatherapy, because it will help reduce stress in pschosomatic disorder. We have to accept aromatherapy as oriental medicine paradigm for better holistic medicine. Method :We analyzed 20 herbs difference and similarity both aroma herb and oriental herb. We reseach for a scientific name, family, therapeutic region, efficacy, perfumery note, nature. The results were as follows: 1. Most of herbs are similar to each other in the treatment. Top, middle, bottom is similar to sam-cho(三焦) sang-cho, zhong-cho, ha-cho, and But futher reseach is needed for development of Oriental medicine. 2. We find out much similarity between oriental herbs and aromatic herbs and qi-mi ron(氣味論) is useful to analyze them 3. We find out difference mechanism between GI absortion and nasal inhalation. 4. Other Aroma herbs must be analyzed by oriental oriental medical thought, for example, seung-gang-bu-chim(昇降浮沈), gui-gyong(歸經), and so on. 5. Aromatic oriental medicine ways are developed like aromatic therapy.

  • In this paper, we study the structure of the Daegyupyo (大圭表, Large Gnomon) of the early Joseon dynasty. A Gyupyo (圭表, Gnomon that is Guibiao as pronounced in Chinese) is composed of a Pyo (表, Biao as pronounced in Chinese) making a shadow and a Gyu (圭, Gui as pronounced in Chinese) measuring its length. It is known that the Daegyupyo with the 40-feet height was constructed between the sixteenth to seventeenth year of the King Sejong reign (1444 - 1445) on the basis of the record of Yuanshi (元史, the History of the Yuan Dynasty). By analyzing historical documents such as Joseonwangjosillok (朝鮮王朝實錄, the Annals of the Joseon Dynasty), Yuanshi, and Jegaryeoksangjip (諸家曆象集, a work written by Sunji Lee), we found a possibility that the Ji (池, a pond) on the Gyu was located in the north side of the Pyo. This structure is different from that in previous studies, but is in a good agreement with that of the 40-feet Guibiao remaining in Dengfeng (登封) of China. Regarding to the Hoengyang (橫梁, cross-bar), we suggest that it was set up by double 5-feet supporting arms apart from the north tip of the Pyo in the radial direction. The 3:4:5 ratio in a rectangular triangle was used to place the Heongyang on the top of the Pyo at a distance of 4-feet (3-feet) in the vertical (horizontal) direction. We also discuss the structural problem when the Hoengyang is positioned apart from the top of the Pyo by supporting arms. In conclusion, we think that this study should be useful in restoring the Daegyupyo of the Joseon dynasty.

  • A detail design of overhead catenary system can be divided into a pegging plan and a design of MD(mounting diagram). In the pegging plan, the mast location, staggering and tension length are determined in the longitudinal point of view according to track condition, location of substation and etc. In the MD, a transversal diagram including masts, all of wires, cantilever, foundation and etc. and materials used are shown. This study presents a development of a software to design the MD for a conventional catenary system automatically. In the program, thin walled steel pole, foundation, cantilever, all of wires and etc. are automatically drawn according to the input and catenary conditions. And materials used in the MD and the section can be also managed respectively in the program. This application of the program is developed using C# for input/calculating and using C++(ObjectARX) for drafting the MD, respectively.

  • I. Introduction Bi(痺) means blocking. It can reach at the joints or muscles or whole body and make pains. Numbness and movement disorders. BiJeung can be devided into SilBi and HeoBi. In SilBi there are PungHanSeupBi, YeolBi and WanBi. In HeoBi, there are GiHyeolHeoBi, EumHeoBi and YangHeoBi. The common principle for the treatment of BiJeung is devision of the chronic stage and the acute stage. In the acute stage, BiJeung is usually cured easily but in the chronic stage, it is difficult. In the terminal stage, BiJeung can reach at the internal organs. BiJeung is one kind of symptoms making muscles, bones and jonts feel pain, numbness or edema. For example it can be gout or SLE etc. Many famous doctors studied medical science by their fathers or teachers. So the history of medical science is long. So I studied ${\ll}Bijeungjujip{\gg}$. II. Final Decision 1. BanSuMun(斑秀文) thought that BiJeung can be cured by blocking of blood stream. So he insisted that the important thing to cure BiJeung is to improve the blood stream. He usually used DangGuiSaYeokTang(當歸四逆湯), DangGuiJakYakSanHapORyeongSan, DoHong-SaMulTang(桃紅四物湯), SaMyoSanHapHeuiDongTang and HwangGiGyeJiOMulTang. 2. • It has been known that the accurate estimates of 2-dimensional water quality model parameters are difficult for non-experts due to the complexity of theoretical background and input requirement and complicated inter-relationship between model Parameters. The main goal of this study is to Provide expert system for the optimal estimation of water quality model parameters, which is based on the development of chaining mechanism according to the sensitivity analysis of model parameter interactions and GUI interface system on ArcView Avenue. The selected study area is the 35.3- km main Han river starting from Paldang Dam site to the Point of Indo bridge and the tributary inflows including pollutant data are used for the system application and validation. The estimated main model parameters are 0.367 for transverse dispersion coefficient, 0.074 for and 0.162 for. It also shows that the simulated water quality constituents such as DO and BOD based on the estimated model parameters are well agreed with the observed ones. It can be concluded that the developed GIS-based expert system for water quality model parameter estimation and graphical representation of water quality analysis is useful for the scientific water quality management.

  • We are looking at the two different kinds of IT on this paper. One is VoIP and the other is VR (voice recognition). We are more interesting at the evolving techniques and services produced by combining the two techniques mentioned above. Recently, there are so many services and products appeared in the market using voice recognition technique. Now the technique has progressed on the level that can even replace the user interfaces using the QUI or general DTMF. Therefore, we are expecting so many various new services showed UP In the market which is combination of the VoIP and VR. Up until now, three models are available in the field which are wired telephone, wireless telephone, and wireless internet. We know the effectiveness of the VoIP is maximized more when this technique is combined with others rather than used alone without other techniques.

  • The present study was conducted to investigate effective starter culture to improve biological activity of Asarum sieboldii. Antibacterial activity, antioxidant activity and reduction of enteric rumen methane production were used as criterions for biological activity. Ground A. sieboldii was added in MRS broth at 10% (w/v) and fermented by different starter cultures. Weissella confusa NJ28, Weissella cibaria NJ33, Lactobacillus curvatus NJ40, Lactobacillus brevis NJ42, Lactobacillus plantarum NJ45 and Lactobacillus sakei NJ48 were used for starter culture strains. Each starter culture was inoculated with 1% (v/v) ratio and fermentation was performed at $30^{\circ}C$ with agitation (150 rpm) for 48 h. MRS broth for the control was employed without starter culture. Then the fermentation growth was dried and extracted using ethyl alcohol. The growth of starter culture was detected at NJ40, NJ42, NJ45 and NJ48. And the highest cell growth was found in NJ40. Antibacterial activity against to Staphylococcus aureus, Listeria monocytogens, Mannheimia haemolytica and Salmonella gallinarum were observed in the extract fermented by NJ40 and NJ45. All treatments showed antioxidant activities, however, there were no significant differences (p>0.05). In in vitro rumen fermentation, negative control (NC) and positive control (PC) were assigned to without extract and with non-fermented A. sieboldii extract. Significant suppression of gas productions were detected in positive control and treatments compared to negative control (p<0.05). However, total volatile fatty acid production was not suppressed. Significant methane reduction per total volatile fatty acid productions were found in positive control and NJ45 treatment (p<0.05). The present study suggested a fermentation of A. sieboldii using NJ45 strain could improve its biological activity and make possible for its use in bio additive for enteric rumen methane mitigation without suppression of animal productivity.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine what people in Korea recognize the cultural symbolism and the planting patterns of 'Guǐmok', pagoda tree(Sophora japonica). The species planted in the 'Guǐjeong' was empirically investigated and analyzed to determine which species of pagoda tree or Zelkova tree(Zelkova serrata) was taken through literature surveys, field surveys, and interviews with persons. This 'Guǐjeong' was combined to track how the culture of the 'Guǐmok' planting introduced in China was ultimately accepted and transformed in Korea. In this study, we tried to analyze the meaning implicit in the mystery while checking the distribution of the mystery and the form of the mystery, the name of the pavilion and its relevance to the contrast medium. Essentially, the trees that govern the characterization of the nectar plant, regardless of the region, are considered to be a pagoda tree, which is considered an internal factor in which the pagoda tree culture was not completely transformed into a zelkova tree. It was recognized throughout the Joseon Dynasty that the species representing 'Prime ministers(三公)' was judged from all the Joseon Dynasty periods, based on the builder of Guǐjeong's Aho(雅號) and Dangho(堂號). It was confirmed that the tree was very likely to be planted in place of the painting tree. But now is selectively zelkova tree is in accordance with the preparation of planting site conditions and areas on behalf of the Change is very high probability that is planted. Cultural variables that led to the cultural transformation of the 'Guǐmok' seem to have been deeply involved in the geographical space of China and Korea, Confucian practices of the Choson society, comings and goings and letter bridge, and network strength with China through the book spread. In addition, the culture of 'Guǐmok' is presumed to have led to cultural custom of the upper class, not the whole class, in the Yeongnam region, it can be said that the independent adaptation to act to recognize 'Guǐmok' as a pagoda tree, that is a Sophora japonica, has occurred very strongly. The difference between the cultural areas of Yeongnam and non-Yeongnam is also considered to be an internal factor that has played a major role in the cultural transformation of planting of 'Guǐmok'.
