Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate nursing students' awareness and performance on standard precautions and to provide meaningful information for nursing students' education regarding hospital infection control. Method: Four hundred forty seven nursing students at 6 universities in D-city participated in this study. Data collection was conducted from March to April 2011. Students' awareness and performance on standard precautions of infection control in hospitals were measured using the modified 2007 CDC standard precautions guidelines. Data analysis was performed using the SPSS WIN 18.0 program, descriptive statistics, t-test, and ANOVA. Results: The level of students' awareness in the standard precautions was higher than performance. The higher levels of students' awareness and performance on standard precautions included patient care equipment, safe injection practices, and worker safety. The lower levels of students' awareness and performance on standard precautions included hand hygiene and personal protective equipment. There was no difference in the students' awareness and performance of standard precautions according to their characteristics. Conclusions: Based on the findings of this study, hand hygiene and personal protective equipment need to be stressed more within the program to improve nursing students' infection control techniques.

Frequent outbreaks of foodborne illness have been increasing the awareness of agro-food safety. Conventional methods for pathogen detection and identification are labor.intensive and take days to complete. The increasing use of rapid food safety testing is receiving more and more attention. The major reason for this trend is that the food industry requires quick and accurate results. The rapid detection of contaminants in food is critical for ensuring the safety of consumers. Recent advances in technology make detection and identification faster, more sensitive and more specific than traditional method. In this paper, technology trends and recent developments in rapid methods for agro-food safety are discussed.

국제민간항공기구(ICAO)는 항공 안전을 위하여 안전관리시스템을 항공 분야에 도입하게 되었으며, 안전관리시스템과 국가안전프로그램의 이행을 의무화하였다. 항공사의 안전관리 시스템의 활성화는 조직 구성원들에게 단순히 필요한 규정을 만들고 그것을 지킬 것을 요구하는 차원이 아니라 비행안전을 도모하고 이를 향상하고자 하는 안전문화가 실질적으로 조직 내에 정착되어야 가능하다. 따라서 항공사의 안전문화는 안전 성과에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 안전관리시스템의 주요한 핵심변수로 작용한다. 본 연구는 설문의 기초자료였던 유럽 조종사 안전문화의 인식도에서 나타난 자료와 국내 운항승무원의 안전문화 인식도에 대한 통계수치를 비교하여 두 집단 간의 안전문화에 대한 인식도의 차이점을 분석하였으며, 그 결과를 바탕으로 국내 항공사 안전문화에 대한 성과를 높이는 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

본 연구는 '해운선사 안전관리 평가지표 개발에 관한 연구'의 후속연구로서 선행연구에서 도출한 '안전관리 평가지표'의 '안전가점' 지수에 해당하는 안전경영 지표의 평가항목을 개발하고, 적정성을 평가하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 해상화물운송사업장에서 일하는 안전관리 담당자를 대상으로 의견을 수렴하여 안전경영 지표별 11개의 평가항목을 개발하였다. 식별된 11개 평가항목에 대한 적정성 검토를 위해 설문조사를 실시하고, 사업형태별(내항해상화물운송, 외항해상화물운송), 사업규모별(보유선박수)로 응답자의 적정성 인식의 차이를 통계적 기법을 활용하여 분석하였다. 그 결과, 평가항목에 대한 적정성 인식의 차이는 사업형태와는 무관하였다. 그러나 사업규모에 따라서는 소(小) 중(中) 대(大) 3개의 그룹 간 평가항목의 적정성에 인식의 차이가 존재했다. 따라서 향후 안전경영 지표를 활용하여 선사를 평가할 경우, 사업형태별로 동일하게 평가하되 사업규모별로는 보유선박수에 따라 그룹화하여 평가하는 것이 타당하다는 결론을 얻었다.

최근 소비 트렌드의 변화로 택배물량이 증가함에 따라 택배업 근로자의 산재사망 사고가 급증하여 택배근로자의 업무환경 개선이 시급한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 택배근로자의 안전행동과 안전의식, 작업환경(물리적 환경, 직장내 안전문화, 안전체계), 직무스트레스(직무요구, 직무자율, 관계갈등, 기타요인) 간의 인과관계를 파악하여 안전행동을 높이기 위한 요인을 도출하고, 중점으로 관리되어야 하는 요인에 대한 기초자료를 제공하고자 함이다. 본 연구는 택배근로자 커뮤니티 사이트의 도움을 받아 물류센터에 종사하는 택배기사 총 119명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 타 연구의 설문조사 문항을 활용하여 제작한 안전행동, 안전의식, 작업환경, 직무스트레스 측정 도구를 사용하여 택배근로자의 근로특성에 맞는 문항으로 수정·보완한 설문지를 작성하였다. 교차분석 결과, 안전교육과 근속기간에 따른 사고 경험 여부에 대한 유의한 차이가 있었다. 또한 회귀분석 결과, 직무스트레스의 하위요인 중 관계갈등에 따른 안전행동, 작업환경의 하위요인 중 안전체계에 따른 안전행동에 대해 인과관계를 보였다. 피어슨의 상관분석 결과, 안전의식과 안전행동이 유의한 상관관계가 있었다. 이를 통해 사고 여부와 안전행동에 영향을 주는 요인을 알아내었고, 그에 대한 적절한 개선이 필요하다는 결론이 도출되었다.

Green Construction is the construction activities that conserved energy, land, water and material to reduce the negative effect to the environment while assuring essential demand on quality and safety during project construction. This paper critically examine the contribution of awareness and understanding, green construction practices and green construction innovation with the green construction benefits. A measurement model based on the theoretical framework and exploratory factor analysis was developed and tested using structural equation modelling technique. This study employs a survey research methodology involving a total of 346 respondents among construction contractors, developers, clients and consultants in the construction industry. The findings indicate that the awareness and understanding, green construction practices and green construction innovation are significant predictors of the green construction benefits. From the practical perspective, the findings should alert the construction participants on the need of awareness and understanding, green construction practices and green construction innovation towards the green construction benefits. In addition, the findings can be used as diagnostic tool for continuous improvements in the Malaysian construction industry.

본 연구는 화재 피해의 최소화를 위한 근본적 대책 중의 하나인 유도시스템에 필수적인 피난 유도음 도출을 위한 기초 연구로서, 소방공무원과 일반인을 대상으로 피난자들의 화재에 대한 일반의식과 선호 피난 유도음을 파악하기 위한 설문조사를 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과로서 1) 응답자들은 집이나 직장과 같은 익숙한 장소에서는 화재 안전의식이 점점 높아지고 있고 있으나, 새로운 공간을 접했을 경우 아직도 화재 안전의식은 높지 않는 것으로 나타냈다. 따라서 낯설은 공간에서의 화재 안전의식 향상을 위한 교육 및 제도 개선이 필요하다고 판단된다. 2) 화재 발생 시 견딜 수 있는 예상시간과 및 안전하게 피난할 수 있는 여유시간에 대한 조사 결과, 여유시간이 매우 짧은 것으로 인식하고 있어 초기 대응에 대한 적절한 대처가 필요하다. 3) 시야가 확보되지 않는 상황에서 피난 유도시스템의 피난 유도음으로 여성의 음성으로 "비상구는 이쪽입니다"와 함께 싸이렌, 빛을 병용하는 피난 유도 하는 시스템을 가장 선호하였다.

Automobile was first introduced in 1903 in South Korea, the masses of the car was carried out rapidly compared to other countries. However, many people were killed in a traffic accidents and economic loss was occurred due to the spread of the automobile. In South Korea, 2012, traffic accident occurred 223,656 times, 5,392 fatality, 344,565 injured people. In the last five years, about 224,000 accidents per year were occurring. In other words, 610 traffic accidents occur and about 15 people pass away in one day. In addition, the proportion of traffic accidents is first place in the OECD countries and it is very high in the world. Understand occurrence tendency of traffic accident, accident frequency rate of the driver who drives more than 10 years was higher than the novice driver. In addition, as a result of examining the cause of the traffic accident, breach of safe driving obligation appears highest case (125,391 times), and followed by signal violation, break safety distance. Therefore, the majority of traffic accidents occurred by the lack of safety awareness of the driver. In this study, prevent the loss of human life and property in traffic disaster, by establish disaster prevention measures that investigated by questionnaire survey and statistical data of the state of consciousness and driving posture in response to the driving history of the driver.

Last five years, Occupational injury rate is declining but still a standstill as 2%, if the rate of deaths all people from 2% to 1% in 2013, but decreased as, occupational safety and health in terms industrial accidents yet has a very weak structure in very small Manufacturing workplace. The purpose of this study was to survey a 1:1 directly person interviews with a structured questionnaire intended for 150 a very small manufacturing workplace. In the results, working with non-regular(informal) workers is one in 10 persons 11.7% and female workers is about three people on 10 persons with 31.0%, and that 75% of non-regular workers who are mainly engaged in the production line appeared. And the work-related injury and accident experience was 4.0% and the occupational injury rate was 1.24%, especially occupational injury rate of older workers was 3.65%, a female workers 1.72%. Workplace risk assessment carried out in response that it was very low as 9.3% of the total. In the technology and funding programs that are supported by the government, was highest with 62.7% of the clean support program awareness, awareness of the rest of the programs is about 10-14% lower. And the satisfaction of supporting a clean support program were the highest 81.3%.
