  • Low birthrate is causing a reduction in the number of students at kindergartens, elementary schools, middle schools and high schools nationwide and yet, school safety accidents are on a constant rise, which was reported to be 237 accidents a day on average in 2011. Such phenomenon is proving how the school safety policy is not doing what it was supposed to do. In order to decrease the school safety accidents, first, causes of the accidents should be analyzed and then, prevention measures should be designed. For that reason, the study looked into the present condition of the school safety accidents and safety accident theories and based on the results, "School Safety Accident Analysis Matrix Model" was proposed. With a matrix method of the accident types (17 of them) and hazard factors (9 of them) applied, the concerned model analyzed a total of 153 accident causes. In consideration of the results from the analysis, the study suggested that the education authority should open a safety organization and design a school safety policy that would systematically deal with safety education, prevention measures practice, accident investigation and analysis, and countermeasures practice as well.

In order to do this, it is necessary to identify the current level of safety awareness and practice with the actual status of accident occurrence. Furthermore it is try to figure out the most influencing factors on the safety education for Korean middle and high school students. The 412 students were taken from a random sample. The samples were one class of 2nd grade students in five different middle schools and four different high schools in Seoul, Korea. The survey was conducted from 29 September 2010 through 15 October 2010. An additional samples for the questionnaires posted in web were collected. The 305 respondents from school students and 80 respondents from web survey were used to analyze for this study out of 800 respondents. SPSS was used to analyze the questionnaires. The overall safety-awareness score was relatively high at 4.56/5 for fire safety and 4.32/5 for traffic safety. Safety awareness was higher for girls than boys and also for high school students than middle school students. Safety education by parents at home gives a good impact on high safety practices. Safety awareness was improved by feeling of necessity for safety training. The safety prevention training provided during the class by teacher and home training by parents improved safety practice. The correct direction of safety education for younger students can be easier in future.

  • Effective and sustainable prevention of work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WR-MSDs) remains a challenge for preventers and policy makers. Coordination of stakeholders involved in the prevention of WR-MSDs is a key factor that requires greater reflection on common knowledge and shared representation of workers' activities among stakeholders. Information on workers' strategies and operational leeway should be the core of common representations, because it places workers at the center of the "work situation system" considered by the intervention models. Participatory ergonomics permitting debates among stakeholders about workers' activity and strategies to cope with the work constraints in practice could help them to share representations of the "work situation system" and cooperate. Sharing representation therefore represents a useful tool for prevention, and preventers should provide sufficient space and time for dialogue and discussion of workers' activities among stakeholders during the conception, implementation, and management of integrated prevention programs.

  • This paper surveys and researches primary school students' situation of their school life. The purpose of this paper is to propose the basic information of the accident prevention teaching and the safety management in order to avoid accidents to occur beforehand. We selected m primary students out of the six primary schools in Taebaek City at which the nursing students of Kangwon Tourism College practiced school health. We used SPSS Win for analyzing data. We carne up with the general characteristics and percentage using frequency analysis, mean and standard deviation of each item, the mean difference using T-Test, and the different factors using one-way analysis. The results are as follows: 1. The 6th grade students don't practice safety procedures than the 5th grade students during outside the school. The older the student is, the less it practices safety procedures. 2. Boys practice safety procedures better than the girls during inside and outside the school. 3. Hot -tempered students don't practice safety procedures properly. 4. Most of the students who often use the health room of the school have high scores in safety procedures test and as a result, these students practice safety procedures thoroughly. 5. The grade of safety living activity is the highest during gymnastic class. Next is when the students use the stairs when they are going up and clown. Then, the use of science room In the playground is the lowest grade of safety for living activity.

  • To enhance safety in dangerous situations, it is essential to provide practice-oriented safety education. However, direct experiences can be limited, and thus, metaverse-based safety education is emerging as an alternative. In this study, we analyzed the first official metaverse safety education program of the Korea Ministry of Education, mainly focusing on its title, objectives, content, and results using the Revised PRISMA framework. The program concentrates on "life safety" for "fire safety," "disaster safety" for "earthquake safety," and "first aid" for "abrasions, burns, fractures, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and the use of AED." We classified the objectives of the entire program and its three sub-programs, and identified the knowledge, main practice tasks, and their results. The aim of this study is to promote an understanding of the main cases of national-led metaverse safety education and infer the practical safety education contents emphasized to Korean school-age students.

  • A safe working environment is an important and crucial factor in the operation of a firm, and is also essential for logistics companies in supply chain management. This study confirmed that the safety climate and safety prevention activities have a positive relationship with safety behavior from the perspective of domestic small and medium-sized logistics companies that continue their business relationships by signing contracts with large logistics companies. In addition, the moderating role of regulatory uncertainty and competition uncertainty in the previous positive relationship was empirically examined.
