A Study on Economic Analysis of Development of On-line Diagnosis Technique for Preventing Electrical Accidents (전기설비사고예방을 위한 온라인진단기술 개발의 경제성 분석)

  • In the last couple of decades industrialization and technological development has not only increase in the scale of electrical facilities and it has become more and more complicated and diversified. Furthermore, fires in the electrical transformers, like those that have knocked out power in the country in the past years, are likely to become more common as utility systems begin to show their age. The importance of preventing electrical accidents can never be overemphasized and for this reason, supply of on-line diagnosis system combining information and communication technology(ICT) for the customer's electrical facilities has been increasing recently. The major advantage of on-line diagnosis system is that the device's potential problems could be detected early before a serious deterioration or breakdown occurs. In this paper, We estimated the benefit from the investment in the right of present value of sales, success rate of commercialization regarding R&D investment for development and commercialization of on-line diagnosis technology targeting customer electrical facilities. As a result, the net value added of 29.7 billion won and the increased profit by roughly 7.52 precent are expected.

  • In this paper, the survey and the analysis of domestic and foreign for on-line monitoring system at low voltage facilities example for value added service about electrical safety were executed. According to survey, in Japan, they are executing the on-line electrical facilities monitoring in based on IT basic law for the information of society construction and not only electrical safety but also value added service such as alarm for earthquake, security are being done. In USA and Europe using power line communication(PLC), the on-line observation and building district management service were being realized. Observing the domestic case, electrical safety related with service such as distribution panel product incorporating load management and leakage current measurement was being executed in some companies. From the survey, it is necessary to improve on the law and the system for market activity in domestic.

A Study on Characteristics and Safety Criteria for Human Body in ELF Electric and Magnetic Fields (ELF 전자계 특성 및 인체 안전기준에 관한 연구)

  • This paper presents a study on the characteristics and safety criteria for human body in ELF (Extremely Low Frequency : 50-60Hz) electric and magnetic fields. Many researches for ELF electric and magnetic fields, which are developed in the past, are studied and analyzed In this paper. In order to estabilish the safety criteria for human body in the field, the field intensity, induced current and voltage are calculated by the electrostatic field approach which is far simpler than the electromagnetic field one based on Maxwell equation. The method is applied to the 345 KV transmission line system In operation and 765 KV system under consideration. According to the results, the maximum value of field intensity, 6.8627KV/m, is evaluated at the location which is 14m away from transmission line. As the safety criteria value by the abroad researches asserting that the human can detect the Induced current in 6KV/m and above, 5KV/m and 7KV/m are recommended at residence area and nonresidence area, respectively.

  • In this study is presented a numerical method which assesses running safety of the freight car loading with loom CWR and structural safety of conventional railway track and fastening when passing over sharp curves and steel girder bridges. Optimal speed of the freight car is suggested based on the numerical reviews of the safety against derailment of the freight car and structural safety of track and fastening at vulnerable points of the conventional line.

  • For the safety of railway, it should be evaluated for the running safety by measuring the derailment coefficient. Although railway has run the fixed and maintained rail, some of railway is derailed. This report shows the results that performed the static load test, wheelset manufacturing for test, main line running test on the basis of the derailment theory and experience. It is executed main line test into more than 80km/h for estimating the curving performance and running safety of Gwangju EMU. As the test results, could confirm the curving performance and running safety of Gwangju EMU from the results of the wheel unloading, lateral force, derailment coefficient etc. Derailment coefficient was less than 0.8, and lateral force allowance limit and wheel load reduction ratio were enough safe.

  • Advanced EMU have been enhanced in terms of safe transport and maintainability. It is a new urban railway technology that enables an operation institution to cut repair and maintenance costs and customers to use convenient service at lower costs based on IT technology. If a development vehicle of Advanced EMU is completed, it will be used to test the entire advanced EMU system through sufficient performance check and reliability check prior to operation in commercial line. It will also verify efficiency, safety, punctuality and energy efficiency of transport. Accordingly, it is necessary to figure how to repair and maintain vehicles to enhance safety of Advanced EMU system in cooperation with operation during the period of comprehensive evaluation on the operation of a development vehicle in a test line. In this paper, we investigated the maintenance program of Advanced EMU on test operation in Dabul line. The test condition and operation environment of Advanced EMU in Daebul line was analyzed.

  • The object of this work is the validation and assessment of the TRACE v5.0 code using the scaled test ATLAS1 facility in the context of a DVI2 line break. In particular, the experiment selected models the 50%, 6-inch break of a DVI line. The same experiment was also adopted as a reference test in the ISP-503. The ISP-50 was proposed to, and accepted by, the OECD/NEA/CSNI due to its technical importance in the development of a best-estimate of safety analysis methodology for DVI line break accidents. In particular, the behavior of the two-phase flow in the upper annulus downcomer was expected to be complicated. What resulted was the need for relevant models to be implemented into safety analysis codes, in order to predict these thermal hydraulic phenomena correctly.

  • In recent years, electronic commerce has provided another access for consumers to purchase products. Shopping on line provides much information and less searching cost for customers, but some researches have pointed out that there are difficulties for companies to do business on web. For lack of trust, many people not prefer purchasing through virtual channels. Based on the literature review, this study aims at empirically testing the impact of website design on individual trust in internet firms. From statistic analysis, we will conclude that security, interaction, and navigation functionality will affect on-line trust. The result of this study may provide some managerial implications, especially for firms which want to enter on-line businesses.

  • There are two methodologies to increase transport capacity of railway. One is to invest railroad equipment or vehicles, and the other is to improve operation efficiency through optimization. All of these is intended to increase transport capacity by improving the line capacity. So far, we treat the line capacity as the criteria for evaluating investment alternatives or for restricting train frequencies, and this criteria is calculated statical and experimental numerical formula. But, line capacity has special attribute that changes dynamically according to operational conditions, so there is a need of new line capacity estimation system. The Purpose of this paper is to present a new estimation system of line capacity based on the probability simulation and its applications.

Variation of Seepage Line through Embankments by Permeability of Layer (지반의 투수성에 따른 제체 침투류의 변화)

  • The movement of water through a river embankment and its influenced upon the stability of the slope of the embankment are described. The stability of the embankment is depended upon the location of seepage line. As the seepage flow occurs in the embankment, the slope of the embankment loses its stability. Of particular interest is the stability following a rapid change of water level. The variation of seepage line in the embankment model by a fluctuation of water level is discussed. The experimental models were construction with slopes of 1 : 1.5, 1 : 2.0, 1 : 2.5 and the flow velocity was turned from 60cm/sec~90cm/sec. Based on the experimental study, the following conclusions are drawn. 1) When water level is raised, the seepage line of downstream slope Is raised rapidly as flow velocity increases. 2) For the case of permeable layer, the seepage line raised rapidly as compare with impermeable layer when water lever is raised.
