닻을 운용한 선체운동 제어 (A Study on the Control of Ship Motion using the Anchor Dredging)

  • Ship operators are used to dredge anchor for the collision avoidance or safety of ship handling in a harbour or narrow channel. This paper clarifies the technique using tile anchor dredging known as a common sense for the seafarers. A mathematical model at low speed range has been established for the estimation of ship motion under the assumed environment , simulate the advance speed , and turning ability under the anchor dredging or not. The results shows good agreement with the conventional seamanship and their experiences as follows. Ahead speed used the anchor dredging is slower(speed reduction ratio:40%) than the normal ahead speed and the stopping distance is shorter (distance reduction ratio:40%)than the normal ahead distance without the anchor dredging. Turning speed used anchor dredging is slower(speed reduction ratio:72%)than the normal ahead speed and the tactical diameter is shorter(distance reduction ratio:24%)than the diameter by the normal turning without the anchor dredging.

  • 특정 원자력발전소 안전성 계통의 신뢰도 분석을 위한 자료평가의 목적으로 전산코드를 개발하였으며 그 유용성을 입증하였다. 가압 경수로 보조급수 계통 신뢰도 분석을 위하여 개발된 전산코드를 이용하여 관련자료를 평가하였다. 이를 위하여 부품고장률의 선분포는 미국의 원자력안전성 연구보고서, 특정 발전소의 운전경험은 기 발간된 인허가자 사상보고서에서 얻었다. 분석결과 후분포는 대수정규분포 곡선에 잘 점철되며 분포의 오차인자들은 현저히 감소하는 것으로 나타났다.

  • Utilization rate for the restrictive gate and required time and walking distance to board are to be a measure for the gate management and passenger's convenience estimation. So, the main purpose of the gate management are maximization of utilization rate and increment of airport terminal user's convenience through the efficient gate management. This study intends to maximize the utilization rate on usable gates by concerning about layout, terminal configuration, local passenger of the airport and development of gate assignment algorithm and DSS which maximize the gate utilization and minimize the passenger's walking distance.

  • IEC 60300 series, the international standards on reliability management system are newly developed and introduced rapidly worldwide. In order to meet this fast-changing situation, it is necessary to apply them to the Korean industries effectively. It includes the establishment of the infrastructure such as documentation of Korean Standards, introduction of test equipments and test manuals, accreditation of the certification body and training of the specialists etc. IEC 60300 is upgraded management system of the ISO 9000 and ISO 14000. In this regard, the Korean companies which was certified with the ISO 9000 or 14000 should endeavor to find new strategies and methods to be certified with ISO 60300. This paper introduces a quantitative method of estimating the level of the reliability management system by applying the MIR(Maturity Index on Reliability) technique. This enables the estimation of the operation level of the system and can upgrade the maturity level of it.

  • This study presents the minimum spring stiffness of resilient track pad considering the safety of running train. A nonlinear static 3-D finite element is used for the modeling of railway superstructure, especially for the reflection of nonlinear resistance of rail fastening system. Moreover, ballast is considered as an elastic foundation. As the input load, eccentric wheel and lateral force are used and they are derived from ' Lateral-force/Wheel-load Estimation Equations '. Analysis results are compared with following two values : allowable lateral displacement of rail head (derived from the geometrical derailment evaluation of wheel/rail) and operation standard value (derived from the field test results of track).

  • Virtual manufacturing technology has been applied in actual production sites with the development of virtual reality technology. However, the current virtual manufacturing technology requires experts for application of the system. Furthermore, the sense of reality is diminished as the entire simulation is driven by virtual objects. In contrast, mixed reality can visualize virtual objects and an actual work place simultaneously, and thus the sense of reality of the virtual manufacturing simulation can be improved. This paper introduces a method that applies mixed reality in the manufacturing process, and proposes a method to adapt general safety sign post in the factory instead of a black square marker for visual fiducial recognition.

  • 절리가 발달한 암반사면의 경우, 토사사면의 안전율 평가를 위해 널리 이용되는 한계평형법을 이용한 해석법은 파괴 활동면을 가장할 수 없기 때문에 사용이 곤란하다. 한편, 비등방 탄소성 모델(편재절리모델)을 사용하여 2조의 절리군을 가진 암반사면의 안전율을 계산할 수 있는 방법이 개발되었지만, 이 방법은 개별절리를 효과적으로 고려하지 못한다. 본 연구에서는 개별절리를 고려한 불연속체 해석에 의한 암반사면의 안정성 해석시 사면의 안전율을 평가하는 기법을 개발하였다. 이를 위해, 절리 전단강도 감소기법을 적용하였으며, UEDC의 내장 언어인 FISH를 사용하여 프로그램을 개발하였다. 또한 실제 절리 암반사면을 대상으로 절리를 측정하고, 개발된 기법에 의한 사면의 안전율을 구하였으며, 동일한 사면에 대해 등가연속체로 가정한 편재절리모델 해석을 수행하여 결과를 비교하였다.

  • A general theory is developed which enables closed-cup flash points of mixtures of flammable and non-flammable liquid to be estimated from a knowledge of a certain properties of flammability diagram by thermodynamic method. The estimated equations is shown the effect of both the flame inhibiting properties of the vapor of the non-flammable component and the relative volatility of that component. The vapor phase flame inhibition effect results in a even greater elevation of flash points than the rotative volatility of that component. Especially in cases of similar vapor phase flame inhibition of the non-flammable component, the rotative volatility is affected greater elevation of flash points(extinguishing effect).

  • SG-365 steel is an important material End used for manufacturing a pressure vessel and gas piping. In this investigation, the elastic plastic fracture toughness of this material is evaluated by the unloading compliance method according to the ASTM E8l3-97 and E1152-97 method on the smooth and side groove In specimens. The effect of smooth and side groove is studied on the elastic plastic fracture toughness. The side grooved specimen is very useful in estimation of the $J_{IC}$. Because it is much easier than the smooth specimen to the onset of the ductile tearing by the R curve method. Besides. it improves the accuracy of toughness values, decreases the scattering of them and crack tunneling effect and shear lip by the side groove.
