A Study on the Real-Time Parameter Estimation of DURUMI-II for Control Surface Fault Using Flight Test Data (Longitudinal Motion)

  • For the purpose of fault detection of the primary control surface, real-time estimation of the longitudinal stability and control derivatives of the DURUMI-II using the flight data is considered in this paper. The DURUM-II, a research UAV developed by KARI, is designed to have split control surfaces for the redundancy and to guarantee safety during the fault mode flight test. For fault mode analysis, the right elevator was deliberately fixed to the specified deflection condition. This study also mentions how to implement the multi-step control input efficiently, and how to switch between the normal mode and the fault mode during the flight test. As a realtime parameter estimation technique, Fourier transform regression method was used and the estimated data was compared with the results of the analytical method and the other available method. The aerodynamic derivatives estimated from the normal mode flight data and the fault mode data are compared and the possibility to detect the elevator fault by monitoring the control derivative estimated in real time by the computer onboard was discussed.

  • 운전자의 안전과 편의성을 높이기 위해 통신시스템과 자동차와의 융합의 중요성이 부각되고 있다. 질 높은 서비스를 지원하기 위해 선 차량들 간에 정보가 신뢰성 있게 전달되어야 한다. 따라서 고속주행 환경에서는 채널이 급격하게 변하므로 채널 값을 정확히 추정할 수 있는 기법이 중요하다. 이 논문은 차량용 무선 통신 규격인 IEEE 802.11p에서 시변 채널 추정을 위해 개선된 결정지향 기법인 FADP(Frequency Averaging Data Pilot)를 제안한다. 주파수 대역에서 평균화 과정을 거치고 시간 대역에서 데이터 심벌간의 강한 상관관계를 이용하여 좀 더 정확하게 채널 추정 값을 구하였다. 평균 제곱 오차 및 비트 에러율의 관점에서 기존의 기법들과 비교분석하여 FADP의 성능을 검증하였다.

  • 제 1상 임상시험의 주목적은 시험약의 독성을 평가하여 부작용을 최소화하고 안전하게 투여할 수 있는 적정 용량인 최대허용용량(Maximum Tolerated Dose; MTD)의 추정이다. 기존에 최대허용용량 추정 방법에는 SM방법(Storer, 1989; Korn 등, 1994), ATD방법(Simon 등, 1997) 그리고 DM방법(Dixon과 Mood, 1948) 등이 있다. 본 논문에서는 초기 가속 단계를 적용하여 약효가 없는 낮은 용량에 많은 피험자들이 배정되는 점을 보완하고, 이 초기 가속 단계로 빠르게 용량을 증가함으로 인해 떨어진 안전성을 개선하기 위해 용량감량을 허용하는 방법을 적용시켜 MTD 를 추정하는 방법을 제안하였다. 기존의 방법들과 본 논문에서 제안한 방법을 모의실험을 통해 비교하였다.

AR 스펙트럼 추정법을 이용한 원자로 중성자 잡음 신호 해석 (Reactor Neutron Noise Analysis using AR Spectral Estimation)

  • 원자로의 구조적 건전성을 확보하고 사고를 미연에 방지하기 위해서 중성자 잡음 신호를 이용한 진동 감시에는 주기성 도표(periodogram), 평균주기성도표(averaged periodobram), Blackman-Tukey 스펙트럼 추정 등을 이용하고 있으나 본 논문에서는 통계적인 비편향성(unbaised), 일치성(consistency), 효율성(efficiency), 충족성(minimum lower bound)을 고려한 파라미터 모델링 방법 중 AR 모델을 이용하여 원자로 구조물의 최적의 파라미터를 추정하고 진동 감시에 필요한 스펙트럼 분석의 해상도를 높였다. 특히 논문에서는 차수 선정에서 AR 모델의 적절한 차수선정(order selection)을 위하여 자기상관의 lag value을 이용하였다. AR 방법중 Burg 방법이 원자로 구조물의 고유진동수를 추적하는데 가장 효과적이다.

EPB 시스템의 센서 고장 허용 제어 기법 (Fault Tolerant Control of Sensor Fault of EPB System)

  • In this paper, a fault tolerant control against sensor faults of electric parking brake (EPB) is proposed. Fault tolerant control method of EPB system is strongly demanded since sensor faults can endanger a driver's safety. In this paper, a clamp force estimation method is presented using motor's armature current and angular velocity. Clamp force estimation method is applied for fault detection method with parity equations. The goal of the detection method is to detect and identify faults in encoder, current sensor, force sensor, and parking cable. And a switching logic for fault tolerant control against the three sensor faults is suggested. Experimental results show that the proposed force estimation method satisfies the specifications of EPB system. The effectiveness of the fault detection method is validated with experimental results. Although a single sensor fault happens, EPB system with the proposed fault detection method does not develop into a failure on subsystem or system level.

  • 현재 화재조사 및 감식을 하는 기관은 소방, 경찰을 비롯하여 화재안전관련 기관 등으로 다양하며 이에 종사하는 인력들도 상당수에 이르고 있으나 이들의 전문성에 대한 어떠한 객관적인 지표가 없는 것이 현실이다. 본 연구에서는 직무분석을 통하여 검정기준을 마련, 시험제도의 시행방안을 제시하였고, 화재감식 평가 자격에 적합한 검정과목과 출제기준을 개발하여 화재현장에서 발화원인, 연소상황, 피난상황, 소방시설 등의 상황을 조사하고, 화재피해조사, 화재 분석 및 평가 등의 업무를 수행할 수 있는 공신력 있는 화재감식평가기사 국가기술자격 종목을 개발하고자 한다.

보육시설의 실외놀이 환경에 대한 사용자 평가 및 요구조사 (A Study on the Needs and Estimation of Users in the Playground of Child Care Facilities)

  • The purpose of this study is to clarify playground types by characteristics of playground environment in child care facilities, to analyze the needs and estimation of users according to playground types. The subjects of this study were care-givers, who assist outdoor play activities of children and manage safety in playground, to estimate adequateness of playground's environment to children's outdoor plays and to report needs. The data were collected by field measurement survey for clarification playground environments in 21 child care facilities and structured-questionnaire for estimation and needs of 181 care-givers in them. The major results showed the following. 1) The playgrounds were clarified to five type according to number of child and size of playground. The five types include A-type as large-scale facility/small-size playground, B-type as small-scale facility/large-size playground, C-type as small-scale facility/small-size playground, D-type as middle-scale facility/large-size playground, and E-type as large-scale facility/large-size playground. 2) The adequateness of playground environment of D-type were estimate higher than others. C-type were estimated lower than other types in size and outdoor play areas organization of playground. 3) The care-givers in D-type and E-type wanted to install various play equipments, but the care-giver in C-type didn't wanted to install play equipment. 4) The various outdoor play areas were needed in D-type.

차량 롤 각 추정 알고리즘 및 롤 저감력 분배 제어 전략 (Estimation Algorithm of Vehicle Roll Angle and Control Strategy of Roll Mitigation Force Distribution)

  • The ROM (roll over mitigation) system is a next-generation suspension system that can improve vehicle-driving stability and ride comfort. Currently, mass-produced safety systems, such as ESC (electronic stability control) and ECS (electronic control suspension), enable measurements of longitudinal and lateral acceleration as well as yaw rate through inertial sensor clusters, but they lack direct measurements of the roll angle. Therefore, in this paper, a roll angle estimation algorithm from ESC system sensors and tire normal force has been proposed. Furthermore, this study presents a method for roll over mitigation force distribution between the front and rear of a ROM system. Performance and reliability of the roll angle estimation and roll over mitigation force distribution were investigated through simulations. The simulation results showed that the proposed control algorithm and strategy are reliable during vehicle rollovers.

New algorithm to estimate proton beam range for multi-slit prompt-gamma camera

  • The prompt gamma imaging (PGI) technique is considered as one of the most promising approaches to estimate the range of proton beam in the patient and unlock the full potential of proton therapy. In the PGI technique, a dedicated algorithm is required to estimate the range of the proton beam from the prompt gamma (PG) distribution acquired by a PGI system. In the present study, a new range estimation algorithm was developed for a multi-slit prompt-gamma camera, one of PGI systems, to estimate the range of proton beam with high accuracy. The performance of the developed algorithm was evaluated by Monte Carlo simulations for various beam/phantom combinations. Our results generally show that the developed algorithm is very robust, showing very high accuracy and precision for all the cases considered in the present study. The range estimation accuracy of the developed algorithm was 0.5-1.7 mm, which is approximately 1% of beam range, for 1×109 protons. Even for the typical number of protons for a spot (1×108), the range estimation accuracy of the developed algorithm was 2.1-4.6 mm and smaller than the range uncertainties and typical safety margin, while that of the existing algorithm was 2.5-9.6 mm.
