Microstructure and Properties of $(Sr_{1-x}Ca_x)TiO_3$Ceramic Thin film ($(Sr_{1-x}Ca_x)TiO_3$세라믹 박막의 미세구조 및 특성)

  • The$(Sr_{1-x}Ca_x)TiO_3$(SCT) thin films are deposited on Pt-coated electrode $(Pt-TiN /SiO_2Si)$ using RF sputtering method at various deposition temperature. The crystallinity of thin films was increased with increased of deposition temperature n the temperature range of 200~500 $[^{\circ}C]$. The capacitance changes almost linearly in temperature ranges of -80~+90$[^{\circ}C]$. All SCT thin films used in the study the phenomena of dielectric relaxation with the increase of frequency, and the relaxation frequency is observed above 200[kHz]. V-I characteristics of SCT thin films show the increasing leakage current with the increases of deposition temperature.

Effects of Al2O3-RE2O3 Additive for the Sintering of SiC and the Fabrication of SiCf/SiC Composites (SiC 소결에 미치는 Al2O3-RE2O3 첨가제의 영향과 SiCf/SiC 복합체의 제조)

  • The sintering behavior of monolithic SiC is examined using the binary sintering additive of $Al_2O_3$-rare earth oxide ($RE_2O_3$, where RE = Sc, Nd, Dy, Ho, or Yb). Through hot pressing at 20 MPa and $1750^{\circ}C$ for 1 h in an Ar atmosphere for 52 nm fine ${\beta}$-SiC powder added with 5 wt% sintering additive, a SiC density of > 97% is achieved, which indicates the effectiveness of $Al_2O_3-RE_2O_3$ system as a sintering of additive for SiC. Based on this result, 7 wt% of $Al_2O_3-Sc_2O_3$ is tested as an additive system for the fabrication of a continuous SiC fiber-reinforced SiC-matrix composite ($SiC_f$/SiC). Electrophoretic deposition combined with the application of ultrasonic pulses is used to efficiently infiltrate the matrix phase into the voids of $Tyranno^{TM}$-SA3 fabric. After hot pressing, a composite density of > 97% is obtained, along with a maximum flexural strength of 443 MPa.

Fabrication of High Refractive Index ZrO2 Thin Film by a Layer-by-layer Self-assembly Method (LBL-SA법을 이용한 고굴절률 ZrO2 박막 제조)

  • $ZrO_2/PSS$ thin film with a high refractive index was fabricated on a glass substrate by a layer-by-layer self-assembly method. The surface morphology and thickness of the fabricated $ZrO_2/PSS$ thin films were measured as a function of the number of $(ZrO_2/PSS)n$. As the number of $(ZrO_2/PSS)n$ increased from n = 5 to n = 20, RMS roughness decreased from 29.01 nm to 8.368 nm. The $ZrO_2$ thin films exhibited high transmittance of 85% or more; and the 15-bilayer thin film exhibited the highest transmittance among the samples. The transmittance of the fabricated $(ZrO_2/PSS)_{15}$ thin film was ca. 90.8% in the visible range. The refractive index of the glass substrate coated by a $(ZrO_2/PSS)_{15}$ thin film with a thickness of 160 nm increased from ca. 1.52 to 1.74 at the 632 nm wavelength.

Polarization Characteristics of SBN Thin Film by RF Magnetron Sputtering (RF 마그네트론 스퍼터링법에 의한 SBN 박막의 분극특성)

  • The SBN thin films were deposited on Pt/Ti/$SiO_2$/Si and p-type Si(100) substrate by rf magnetron sputtering method using $Sr_{0.7}Bi_{2.3}Nb_2O_9$ ceramic target. SBN thin films deposited were annealed at 600~800[$^{\circ}C$] by furnace in oxygen atmosphere during 40min. The polarization characteristics have been investigated to confirm the possibility of the SBN thin films for the application to destructive read out ferroelectric random access memory. The maximum remanent polarization and the coercive voltage are 0.6[${\mu}C/cm^2$], 1.2[V] respectively at annealing temperature of 800[$^{\circ}C$]. The leakage current density was the $2.57{\times}10^{-6}[A/cm^2]$ at an applied voltage of 5[V] at annealing temperature of 650[$^{\circ}C$]. Also, the fatigue characteristics of SBN thin films did not change up to $10^8$ switching cycles.

Comparative Proteome Analysis of Cyanidin 3-O-glucoside Treated Helicobacter pylori

  • Some virulence proteins of Helicobacter pylori, such as vacuolating cytotoxic protein A (VacA) and cytotoxin-associated gene protein A (CagA) have been reported to be causative agents of various gastric diseases including chronic gastritis, gastric ulcer or gastric adenocarcinoma. The expression level of these virulence proteins can be regulated when H. pylori is exposed to the antibacterial agent, cyanidin 3-O-glucoside (C3G) as previously reported. In this study, we analyzed the quantitative change of various virulence proteins including CagA and VacA by C3G treatment. We used 2-dimensional electrophoresis (2-DE) to analyze the quantitative change of representative ten proteome components of H. pylori 60190 ($VacA^+/CagA^+$; standard strain of Eastern type). After 2-DE analysis, spot intensities were analyzed using ImageMaster$^{TM}$ 2-DE Platinum software then each spot was identified using matrix assisted laser desorption ionization-time of flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF-MS) or peptide sequencing using Finnigan LCQ ion trap mass spectrometer (LC-MS/MS). Next, we selected major virulence proteins of H. pylori among quantitatively meaningful ten spots and confirmed the 2-DE results by Western blot analysis. These results suggest that cyanidin 3-O-glucoside can modulate a variety of H. pylori pathogenic determinants.

Electrical Properties of SBT Capacitor with top electrodes (상부전극에 따른 SBT 커패시터의 전기적 특성)

  • The A $Sr_{0.7}Bi_{2.6}Ta_2O_9$(SBT)thin films are deposited on Pt-coated electrode(Pt/$TiO_2/SiO_2$/Si) using RF magnetron sputtering method. The electrical properties of SBT capacitors with top electrodes were studied. In the XRD pattern, the SBT thin films in all annealing temperatures had (105) orientation. In the SEM images, Bi-layered perovskite phase was crystallized at $750^{\circ}C$ and grains largely grew in oxygen annealing atmosphere. The electrical properties of SBT capacitor with top electrodes represents a favorable properties in Pt electrode. The maxim urn remanent polarization and the coercive electric field with Pt electrode are $12.40C/cm^2$and 30kV/cm respectively. The dielectric constant and leakage current density with Pt electrode is 340 and $6.8110^{-10}A/cm^2$ respectively.

  • The absorption properties of Cu-Zn ferrite/rubber composite microwave absorbers with PZT(Lead Zirconate Titanate) additive were evaluated. The composite specimens have prepared by molding and curing the mixture of matrix rubber and Cu-Zn ferrite powders which are synthesized by the coprecipitation method using Fe Cl/sub 3/ .center dot. 6H/sub 2/O, CuCl/sub 2/ .center dot. 2H/sub 2/O and Zn Cl/sub 2/ as a starting raw materials. PZT is used as another filler particles to adjust the material constants of Cu-Zn ferrite/rubber composite specimens. We have found that the material constants of specimens could be controlled by various PZT mixing ratio. On the Cu-Zn ferrite/rubber composite specimens with PZT 10[wt%] additive, the reflection losses were larger than 30[dB] in the frequency range from 2.72 to 4.4[GHz]' by adjusing the thickness.

  • This study was performed at Sa-Sang Industrial area in Pusan City. To measure the total suspended particulates(T.S.P) and $SO_3$ following places was selected industrial area, down town, residentail area. T.S.P was collected on glass filters by High-Volume Air Sampler, $SO_3$ was measured by PbO2 Candle method. The collected T.S.P was analyzed for various anlon(for example, $NO_3$, $SO_4$, $PO_4$, F, Cl) by ion Chromatography, and Pb by Inductively Coupled Plasma.

  • Eleven compounds were isolated from fresh leaves of Abies koreana (Pinaceae), and structures of these compounds were determined to be 3-hydroxy-2-methyl-4-pyrone (1), maltol-3-O-${\beta}$-D-glucoside (2), (-)-epicatechin (3), naringenin 7-O-${\beta}$-D-glucopyranoside (4), naringenin-7-O-rhamnoglucoside (5), kaempferol 3-O-${\beta}$-D-glucopyranoside (6), (+)-isolariciresinol (7), secoisolariciresinol (8), rhododendrol (9), ferulic acid (10) and 4-(4-hydroxyphenyl)butan-2-one (rheosmin) (11) by comparing $^1H$-, $^{13}C$-NMR and MS spectroscopic data with reference values. Compounds 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 were isolated for the first time from A. koreana. Among eleven isolates, compounds 1, 7 and 11 showed inhibitory activities against lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced nitric oxide (NO) production in BV-2 microglia in a concentration dependent manner.

Berthierine and Nontronite from Sangdong Tungsten Deposits (상동중석광산에서 산출되는 Berthierine과 Nontronite)

  • Berthierine and Nontronite are firstly identified in the Sangdong tungsten ore deposits. Quantitative and qualitative analyses by EPMA and the studies using X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, and infrared absorption spectroscopy were done to characterize berthierine and nontronite. The data from berthierine are in good agreement with those from other localities. The structural data of the Sangdong berthierine are consistent with the orthorhombic, pseudo-hexagonal form which is more common in samples with high $SiO_2$ and low $Al_2O_3$ content. Geologic features suggest that the Sangdong berthierine is diagenetic in origin. However, nontronite might be a product of hydrothermal alteration after the tungsten mineralization.
