  • Energy recovery in the regenerative region is very important when SRM is used in traction drive, This is to reduce en-ergy loss during mechanical braking and/or to have a high efficiency drive during braking To control excitation voltage in motor operation and regenerative voltage in the generator operation in the SRM multi-level voltage control is effective The paper sug-gests multi-level inverter which is useful for motoring and regenerative operation in SRM

ICP-MS와 AAS를 이용한 대기 입자상 표준물질 (SRM 1648) 금속성분의 정량에 관한 연구 (Determination of Metallic Elements in Urban Particulate Matter (SRM 1648) by ICP-MS and AAS)

  • This study was investigated with sample digestion techniques and a reliability of the analytical results for a quantitative analysis of a standard reference material ('urban particulate matter', SRM 1648). The metallic elements were analyzed by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) with closed vessel microwave acid digestion method and atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS). Quality control of the overall analytical procedures for metallic element determinations of standard reference material were estimated by analysis of a SRM 1648. Three digestion solutions $(type\;1:\;HNO_3,\;type\;2:\;HNO_3\;and\;H2O_2(4'1)\;mixture,\;type\;3:5.55\%\; HNO_3\;and\;16.75\%\;HCI\;mixture)$ were applied to SRM 1648. As a result, three digestion solutions used in this study are completely unable to digest Cr of SRM 1648. Reliability of Cr and As showed some errors in the digestion with digestion solution type (3) due to the influence of chlorides. Type (3) digestion solutions are sufficient to fulfill the digestion of As as well as Se in SRM 1648. ICP-MS results showed the improvement in accurate and precise determination of some trace elements like Cd, V and Pb in SRM 1648. It is important to use the proper digestion solution for each element to qualify analytical precision.

  • This paper describes the design optimization of a 8:6 Switched Reluctance Motor(SRM) with the rotor pole inserted barrier. The design is focussed on the minimization of the static torque ripple as maintaining the average torque and the efficiency of the demanded value. The finite element analysis method (FEM) and the optimization algorithm are used to optimize the shape of the rotor pole. By comparing the FEM results of barrier type SRM with these of prototype, it is verified that the barrier type SRM improves the static torque characteristics.

  • A SRM develops its torque according to the inductance variation as the rotor position and the phase current. The variation of the inductance and the phase current plays an important role in output characteristics. Predicting and calculating the inductance is invaluable in the study of SRM. This paper suggests the estimation method of inductance as variation of phase current and rotor position considering magnetic saturation of motor core. This method is also applied to full-pitched winding SRM.

  • The SRM can be operated on the high speed range in which the back-emf is greater than the DC link voltage. However, the phase current of the SRM should be controlled through the selection of an exciting angle since it can not be controlled by a chop of the DC link voltage in the high speed range. In this paper, a PI and a bang-bang controller are employed in order to control the speed of the SRM and the leading angle of the SRM is adapted as a control input. The performances of two controllers are evaluated by computer simulation. The results show that the bang-bang controller is more attractive than the PI controller in the cost and performance aspects.

  • In this paper, a novel method of sensorless control scheme is proposed to apply on a single phase hybrid SRM used in high speed operation. The proposed method utilizes beneficially permanent magnet field whose performance is motor parameter independent to estimate the rotor position. Also, the current slope is adopted to complete the sensorless control when the motor running with heavy torque at high speed condition. Through this approach, the adjustable turn on/off position can be achieved without prior knowledge of inductance profile which is always employed by many sensorless schemes. And this paper may offer an available method to do the sensorless control in hybrid SRM used for high speed running.

  • This paper presents a simple torque estimation method and the switching angle control of SRM using Neural Network. SRM has gaining much interest as industrial applications due to the simple structure and high efficiency. Adaptive switching angle control is essential for the optimal driving of a SRM because of the driving characteristic varies with the load and speed. The proper switching angle which can increase the efficiency was investigated in this paper Neural Network was adapted to regulate the switching angle and nonlinear inductance modelling. Experimental result shows the validity of the switching angle controller.

  • This paper proposes high speed SRM drive system for blower with a new 4-level inverter and precise excitation position generator. For the high speed blower, a proper 12/8 SRM is designed and analyzed. In order to get a fast build-up and demagnetization of excitation a current, now 4-level inverter system is proposed. The proposed 4-level inverter has additional charge capacitor, power switch and diode in the conventional asymmetric converter. The charged high voltage is supplied to the phase winding for fast current build-up, and demagnetization current is charged to additional capacitor of 4-level inverter. In addition, a precise excitation position generator can reduce turn-on and turn-off angle error according to sampling period of digital control system. The proposed high speed SRM drive system is verified by computer simulation.

  • In this paper, several inverter power circuit that are suitable for switched reluctance motor(SRM) drives are analyzed and compared with each other, Because the converter choice depends on the motor design, the analysis and selection are done for 6/4 SRM. Not considered in this paper is another class of inverter topologies for motor with bifilar windings. The proposed converter is applied to 3phase, 6/4 SRM.

  • Advantages of switched reluctance motor(SRM) drives make it an attractive candidate for replacing adjustable speed ac and dc drives in both industrial and consumer applications. Furthermore, a simple, low cost and robust SRM drive can be efficiently operated in the hostile environment of an automobile. Generally, the speed control of SRM has a large step change or large torque reference, the output of its PI controller is often saturated. When this happens, the integral state is not consistent with the SRM input, while may give rise to the windup phenomenon. This paper proposes anti-windup control method for SRM speed control system by hysteresis current controlled asymmetry bridge converter. The experimental results show that the speed response has much improved performance, such as a small overshoot and fast settling time at the acceleration and particulary deceleration period with braking mode.
