Effect of Carbon Black on Mechanical and Damping Properties of EPDM/Carbon Black System (EPDM/Carbon Black계에서 Carbon Black에 따른 기계적 성질 및 방진 특성)

  • This study measured the mechanical and damping properties of EPDM compounds including fillers. Semi-reinforcing furnace black (SRF), high abrasion furnace black (HAF) and acetylene black were used as fillers. Dicumyl peroxide (DCP) were used as curing agents. The measurements were conducted using a moving die rheometer (MDR), durometer, universal testing machine (UTM), compression set and dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA). The tensile strength and elongation at break increased with increasing SRF contents in EPDM compounds. However, they decreased with increasing the amount of acetylene black. In the inspecting temperature range, EPDM compound filled acetylene black had stable storage modulus. Furthermore, the tan ${\delta}$ of the EPDM compounds obtained was enhanced by compounding with acetylene black.

  • The C-band semi-lumped lowpass filter with broad stopband and compact size characteristic using chip inductor is proposed. To provide an additional attenuation pole in stopband by SRF, a separable inductor is added to proposed structure, and it has broad stopband characteristic. The third order elliptic function lowpass filter with chip inductor(L: 9.1 nH, SRF: 5.5 GHz, Q: 25) has insertion loss of 0.38 dB, cutoff frequency of 920 MHz, broad stopband(below 20 dB) of 1.43~7.8 GHz and the size is reduced 37.4 % compared to distributed inductor.

Collagen and Texture Properties of Commonly Consumed Fish Species in Korea as Sliced Raw Fishes (국내 다소비 횟감의 콜라겐과 조직감 특성)

  • This study investigated the collagen and texture properties of commonly consumed sliced raw fish species (CC-SRF) [olive flounder (OF), red seabream (RS), Atlantic salmon (AS), coho salmon (CoS) and sockeye salmon (SS)] distributed in Korea as sliced raw fishes. The crude lipid contents of CC-SRF were 5.5% for OF, 6.8% for RS, 18.5% for AS, 16.1% for CoS, and 5.7% for SS. The collagen content and solubility from CC-SRF were 622 mg/100 g and 78.0%, respectively, in OF, 270 mg/100 g and 75.6%, respectively, in RS, 237 mg/100 g and 24.1%, respectively, in AS, 341 mg/100 g and 65.7%, respectively, in CoS, and 246 mg/100 g and 17.9%, respectively, in SS. The texture of CC-SRF was affected by the lipid content, collagen content, acid solubility, hydroxylation, and cross linkage degree. The highest hardness of CC-SRF was obtained from OF, followed by RS, SS, AS and CoS. There was, however, no difference (P>0.05) in hardness between OF and RS and between AS and CoS.

  • We investigated the effect of ultrasound on the dewaterability of sewage sludge. Because, dewatering and disposal of waste sludge is a major economical factor in the operation of wastewater treatment plants. Capillary Suction Time(CST) and Specific Resistance to Filtration (SRF) were used to evaluate the sludge dewatering behaviors. From the results of the experiment, it was found that ultrasonic treatment can improve the dewaterability. We discovered that CST and SRF were highly related, according to the correlation coefficient($R^{2}$).

  • There are many types of grid-connected inverter controllers; Synchronous Reference Frame (SRF)-based controller is the most popular methods. SRF-based controller is capable for reducing both of zero-steady state error and phase delay. However, SRF-based controller has a complex algorithm to apply in real application such as digital processor. Resonant controller is also reduced zero-steady state error, but its transfer function has a high order. In this paper, a simple proportional control is applied for grid connected inverter with LCL filter. LCL filter is a third order system. Applying a simple proportional controller is not increased the order of closed loop transfer function. By this technique, the single phase model is easily obtained. To reduce steady state error, proportional gain is set as high as possible, but it may produce instability. To compromise between a minimum steady state error and stability, the single phase model is evaluate through Root Locus and Bode diagram. PSIM simulation is used to verify the analysis.

  • This paper gives a new SRF (Sonic Range Finder) Array formation on the mobile robot. This SRF Array formation obtaine the mobile robot's environmental informations wider and faster than the other systems and detects the obstacles in the robot's path. It is processed and controlled by 8031, on-chip micro-computer. SRF Array sensors are drived by the LM1812 transceiver and selected by the 8-channel channel multiplexer. In this paper, it detects the obstacles in wider range and gives them to the MAIN to design the shortest modify path.

  • This paper experimentally investigates the seismic performance of RC columns retrofitted with Super Reinforcement with Flexibility (SRF), which is a polyester fiber reinforced polymer. A total of three specimens with a scale factor of 1/2 were constructed and tested in order to assess the structural behavior of the retrofitted RC columns. One specimen was a non-seismically designed column without any retrofit, while others were retrofitted with either one or two layers of the polyester belt with urethane as the adhesive. Static cyclic testing with a constant axial load was conducted to assess the seismic performance of the retrofitted RC columns. It is concluded that the SRF retrofitting method increases the strength and ductility of the RC columns and can also impact on the failure mode of the columns.

  • In this paper, we propose SAR reduction methods based on power conservation relation, After defining SRF(SAR Reduction Factor) for a more quantitative discussion of effective SAR reduction methods, many kinds of simulation have been performed. We compare the SAR by a flip type handset with that of folder type one. It is found that in a typical position of handsets over a human head, the SAR when using the folder type is about 30 % smaller than that when using the flip type. The effects of ferrite material when using flip type handset are shown to be not considerable when using a folder type.

  • 급변하는 전압 변동 상황에서 전력 제어를 수행하기 위해서 기존의 동기좌표 위상각 검출 제어기의 특성을 보완할 수 있는 방법을 제시하였다. 실질적인 SRF (Synchronous Reference Frame) - PLL(Phase Locked Loop) 시스템에서 계통 전압은 이상적이지 않고 센서 노이즈 등의 저감을 위하여 측정된 전압에 LPF(Low Pass Filter)를 사용하고 있는데 이러한 LPF의 특성을 고려하여 위상각 제어기의 PI게인을 설정하는 방법을 제시하였으며 가변 게인과 LPF 차단주파수 변동방식을 이용하여 전원 전압 사고의 종류에 따라 위상과 전압이 급변하는 경우에 대하여 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통해 제한된 방법으로 동특성이 개선되고 원하는 응답속도로 설계가 가능함을 보였다.

N Use Efficiency and Nitrate Leaching by Fertilization Level and Film Mulching in Sesame Cultivated Upland

  • This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of slow release fertilizers (SRF), crotonylidene diurea (CDU) and latex coated urea (LCU), on nitrogen (N) use efficiency (NUE) and nitrate-N leaching in a silty clay loam soil under polyethylene film mulching (PFM) for sesame cultivation. In PFM plot, concentrations of $NO_3-N$ and $NH_4-N$ in SRF applied soils were less than that in the urea plot during the whole growing period. However, $NO_3-N$ and $NH_4-N$ in all the non-mulched plots (NM) were not significantly different. Urea-N in soil treated with SRF was higher than urea plot until 50 days after application and was comparable in all the treatments after 50 days. $NO_3-N$ concentrations in leached solution in 21 days after urea fertilization in PFM and NM were 26 mg $L^{-1}$ and 83 mg $L^{-1}$, respectively. However, $NO_3-N$ in leached solution at applied CDU and LCU was less than that of urea similar to nitrate concentration in soil. $NO_3-N$ in leached solution in applied CDU and LCU in 44 days after application was about 25% lower than that urea plot and PFM, while the $NO_3-N$ concentration of CDU and LCU treatment in NM did not changed. Application of SRF increased the yield of sesame and N recovery compared to urea and there was a little difference between SRF and N levels. In conclusion, application of 80% N level with SRF increased N recovery and reduced nitrate leaching without reduction of yields compared with urea application.
