RF 노이즈 내성을 가진 OLED 디스플레이용 2-채널 DC-DC 변환기 (2-Channel DC-DC Converter for OLED Display with RF Noise Immunity)

  • 본 논문은 통신기기에서 유입 되는 RF 노이즈에 대해 내성을 가진 OLED용 2-채널 DC-DC 변환기를 제안한다. RF 신호 내성을 위해, 입력전압 변동만큼 감쇠시키는 입력전압 변동감쇠 회로가 내장된다. 양의 전압 VPOS를 출력하는 부스트 변환기는 SPWM-PWM 듀얼모드로 동작하고, 데드 타임을 제어함으로써 전력 효율을 제고한다. VNEG를 출력하는 인버팅 차지펌프는 2-상 출력 구조로 VCO를 이용한 PFM으로 동작해 작은 리플을 갖도록 설계된다. 0.18 ㎛ BCDMOS 공정으로 시뮬레이션 한 결과, 부스트 변환기 출력전압의 오버슈트와 언더슈트는 10 mV에서 각각 2 mV, 5 mV로 감소하였다. 또한, 2-채널 DC-DC 변환기의 전력효율은 39%~93%을 가졌고, 데드 타임 제어기를 적용한 부스트 변환기의 효율은 종전보다 최대 3% 증가하였다.

3레벨 4레그 PWM 컨버터의 커먼 모드 전압 저감 (Common-mode Voltage Reduction of Three Level Four Leg PWM Converter)

  • This paper presents a carrier-based pulse-width modulation(PWM) method for reducing the common-mode voltage of a three-level four-leg converter. The idea of the proposed PWM method is intuitive and easy to be implemented in digital signal processor-based converter control systems. On the basis of the analysis of space-vector PWM(SVPWM) and sinusoidal PWM(SPWM) switching patterns, the fourth leg pole voltage of the three-phase converter called "f leg pole voltage" is manipulated to reduce the common-mode voltage. To synthesize f leg pole voltage for the suppression of the common-mode voltage, positive and negative pole voltage references of f leg are calculated. An offset voltage is also deduced to prevent the distortion of a, b, and c phase voltages. The feasibility of the proposed PWM method is verified by simulation and experimental results. The common-mode voltage of the proposed PWM method in peak-to-peak value is 33% in comparison with that of the conventional SVPWM method. The transition number of the common-mode voltage is also reduced to 25%.

공간벡터변조방식에 의한 AFE정류기의 전류제어 (Current Control for an AFE Rectifier Using Space Vector PWM)

  • 해양산업분야에서는 극심한 대기오염으로 인하여 전기추진선박에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 이로 인해 선내 전력품질의 저하를 개선하기 위한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 기존 DFE 정류기의 입력전류 고조파 함유량을 완화시키기 위해 수동형필터, 노치필터, 능동형필터 등을 이용한 다양한 방법이 등장하였다. 그 중에서도 능동필터의 일종인 AFE(Active Front End) 정류장치가 우수한 기술로써 평가받고 있다. 본 논문에서는 공간벡터변조에 의한 AFE정류장치의 전류제어방식을 제안하였다. 기존의 히스테리시스 방식, 삼각파 변조방식 및 공간벡터변조방식을 PSIM을 사용해 시뮬레이션을 수행하여 비교, 분석하였고, 그 결과 공간벡터변조방식이 구조가 간단하고 성능이 가장 우수함을 확인하였다.

  • In this study, We proposed high efficiency wind power generator system for induction generator used SVPWM swiching inverter. First, We suggest Equivalient Circuit for Ind Generator, it's characteristics equation, and equation of slip. In addition, we suggest Pick Traction Slip control methods. adapted variable power system. We study simulation result fo suggested system and output power by slip e and we identify SVPWM of suitable wind p system by comparison between SPWM and SVPW Consequently, we show that the control result variable wind power is suitable.

  • This paper presents a new technique to generate the 1-bit signal by decoding Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) signal to a binary file before programming onto the ROM. Since each PWM signal requires only 1-bit digital signal, PWM signal and other forms of digital signal related to multi-bit can be simply generated. The results demonstrate that using this new technique to generate the PWM signal can simplify the process and hardware complication. Moreover, the signal's data and frequency can be easily modified by programming the data onto the ROM and using the counter, respectively, which can reduce the size of the circuit and make the PCB easier.

  • This paper describes a new method to increase the fundamental output of PWM inverter by adding all triplen-harmonics to sinusoidal reference wave. As a result, the amplitude of the fundamental component is increased upto 21 percent compared with the conventional SPWM method, and hence the conversion efficiency of dc link is higher. Also as the commutation number of the inverter is decreased to two-thirds, the heating of the switch devices is reduced. In addition random carrier modulation is adopted to lower the acoustic noise at given frequency modulation index.

  • Traction Motor is being transferred to the squirrel cage induction motor from D.C motor, by the improved power semiconductors like GTO, IGBT, etc. In the Induction Motor, inverter system must be used for delivering variable voltage variable frequency. But, by pulsating in the system the harmonics would be produced, and that cause the torque ripple and enfeeble the dynamic characteristics of the motor. So, to use the inverter system, we should take the torque ripple into consideration. To minimize the torque ripple in the VSI fed Traction Motor, the optimal pulsating was presented in this paper. By using the SPWM(Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation) method, feeding the appropriate pulse, we can minimize the torque ripple and improve the transient response.

  • This paper presents equipment for charging and discharging with high power factor aid high efficiency. This equipment is consisted of $3{\phi}$SPWM AC/DC converter for improving input current waveform and input power factor, and bidirectional DC/DC converter for electric isolation in the DC link Part. Therefore, Input power factor and the total efficiency in the proposed system can be increased more than in the conventional phase-controlled thyristor Charging - Discharging System.

  • Among the Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTS) devices, Unified Power Flow Controller (UPFC) is considered as the most powerful and versatile one as it provides simultaneous, real time control of the transmission parameters, voltages, impedances, and phase angles which determine the power flow in AC transmission systems. This paper presents modelling of UPFC and describes its characteristics. The UPFC implemented in this paper is based on Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation (SPWM) and Electro-Magnetic Transients Program (EMTP)/ATPDraw is used to model and analyze it. The simulation results confirm advantages of UPFC in operational performance with respect to the steady state Power flow regulation and the transient stability control.

A New Single-Phase Asymmetrical Cascaded Multilevel DC-Link Inverter

  • This paper presents a new single-phase asymmetrical cascaded multilevel DC-link inverter. The proposed inverter comprises two stages. The main stage of the inverter consists of multiple similar cells, each of which is a half-bridge inverter consisting of two switches and a single DC source. All cells are connected in a cascaded manner with a fixed neutral point. The DC source values are not made equal to increase the performance of the inverter. The second circuit is a folded cascaded H-bridge circuit operating at a line frequency. One of the main advantages of this proposed topology is that it is a modular type and can thus be extended to high stages without changing the configuration of the main stage circuit. Two control schemes, namely, low switching with selective harmonic elimination and sinusoidal pulse width modulation, are employed to validate the proposed topology. The detailed approach of each control scheme and switching pulses are discussed in detail. A 150W prototype of the proposed system is implemented in the laboratory to verify the validity of the proposed topology.
