출력업체 대표들 "밤새 안녕하셨습니까"

  • 지난 7월 중순부터 충무로 일대 출력업체들이 한국소프트웨어저작권협회(SPC ; Korea Software Proprety-right Council)직원들을 위시한 불법 소프트웨어 단속반의 출현으로 인해 때아닌 곤욕을 치르고 있다. 이번 단속은 특정회사 출력기를 취급하는 Y사가 출력기를 판매함에 있어 폰트를 불법으로 복제해 '서비스(?)'로 끼워서 판매한 것이 발단이 됐는 데 Y사 관계자는 지난 10월에도 SPC에 의해 수사 의뢰되어 해당 지방 경찰청의 조사를 받은 바 있는 것으로 알려져 있다.

3-phenylisoxazole 및 3-phenyl-2,5-dihydroisoxazol-5-one 유도체의 합성과 살균활성에 관한 구조-활성관계 (Synthesis and quantative structure-activity relationships on the antifungal activity of 3-phenylisoxazol and 3-phenyl-2,5-dihydro-5-isoxazolone derivatives)

  • 기질 물질로서 일련의3-phenyl-2,5-dihyoisoxazol-5-one(A) 및3-phenylisoxazole(B)유도체는 친핵성 첨가-제거반응($Ad_{N-E}$)으로 (A)가 (B)보다 높은 수율로 합성되었으며 정량적인 구조와 저항성(PRC) 및 감수성(SPC) 고추역병균(Phytophthora capsici)에 대한 살균 활성과의 관계(QSAR)를 검토하였다. 두 균주에 대한 살균활성은 공통적으로 benzoyl고리에 결합된 치환기의 폭인 $B_2$ 상수의 적정값(약$4.0{\AA}$)에 의존적(RPC: $(B_2)_{opt.}=3.74{\AA}$ 및 SPC: $(B_2)_{opt.}=3.99{\AA}$)이었으며 치환기가 RPC에는 전자끌게로 작용한 반면에 SPC에는 전자 끌게로 작용하지 않았다. Free-Wilson 분석결과, RPC 및 SPC, 두 균주에 대한 살균활성은 (A)가 (B)보다 컸으며 할로겐과 acetyl-치환체가 기여하였고, RPC에는 cyano, methoxy 및 methyl-치환체 등이 선택적으로 기여하였다.

Modification of the TNM Staging System for Stage II/III Gastric Cancer Based on a Prognostic Single Patient Classifier Algorithm

  • Purpose: The modification of the cancer classification system aimed to improve the classical anatomy-based tumor, node, metastasis (TNM) staging by considering tumor biology, which is associated with patient prognosis, because such information provides additional precision and flexibility. Materials and Methods: We previously developed an mRNA expression-based single patient classifier (SPC) algorithm that could predict the prognosis of patients with stage II/III gastric cancer. We also validated its utilization in clinical settings. The prognostic single patient classifier (pSPC) differentiates based on 3 prognostic groups (low-, intermediate-, and high-risk), and these groups were considered as independent prognostic factors along with TNM stages. We evaluated whether the modified TNM staging system based on the pSPC has a better prognostic performance than the TNM 8th edition staging system. The data of 652 patients who underwent gastrectomy with curative intent for gastric cancer between 2000 and 2004 were evaluated. Furthermore, 2 other cohorts (n=307 and 625) from a previous study were assessed. Thus, 1,584 patients were included in the analysis. To modify the TNM staging system, one-grade down-staging was applied to low-risk patients according to the pSPC in the TNM 8th edition staging system; for intermediate- and high-risk groups, the modified TNM and TNM 8th edition staging systems were identical. Results: Among the 1,584 patients, 187 (11.8%), 664 (41.9%), and 733 (46.3%) were classified into the low-, intermediate-, and high-risk groups, respectively, according to the pSPC. pSPC prognoses and survival curves of the overall population were well stratified, and the TNM stage-adjusted hazard ratios of the intermediate- and high-risk groups were 1.96 (95% confidence interval [CI], 1.41-2.72; P<0.001) and 2.54 (95% CI, 1.84-3.50; P<0.001), respectively. Using Harrell's C-index, the prognostic performance of the modified TNM system was evaluated, and the results showed that its prognostic performance was better than that of the TNM 8th edition staging system in terms of overall survival (0.635 vs. 0.620, P<0.001). Conclusions: The pSPC-modified TNM staging is an alternative staging system for stage II/III gastric cancer.

SPC관련 KS의 제개폐 및 KS A ISO 2859-3에 대한 고찰 (A Study on SPC-related KS and KS A ISO 2859-3)

  • As a result of globalization process and TBT agreement, KS is also being revised, reestablished and some are abolished according to international standards such as ISO, IEC, etc. Conventional KS sampling inspection standards contained many different procedures from ISO, but recently, to match with international standards, all the rest of the standards except KS A 3102, 3104, 3151 were abolished, and the even the ones being in use still are also scheduled and be revised. Especially, KS A 3101, KS A 3105, KS A 3109, which were used most frequently in Korea were abolished, and the KS A ISO $2859-0\~3$ which coincide with ISO standards were established 3 years ago, but the implementation rate is very slow. Starting next year the national examination for qualification process for the product quality related item will the started and the preparation is underway. This study will investigate the recent sampling inspection process of KS as well as SPC related KS overhaul problem and present the data to help workers in SPC related field. One of the main example will be on KS A ISO 2859-3 and will attempt to help those medium and small sized companies with examples.

마찰저항 저감을 위한 고분자 수지 합성 및 PIV 유동장 계측 (Synthesis of FDR-SPC Resin and PIV Measurement for Frictional Drag-reduction)

  • In this study, a novel FDR-SPC is first synthesized in this study. The drag reducing functional radical such as PEGMA (Poly(ethylene) glycol methacrylate) has been utilized to participate in the synthesis process of the SPC. The types of the baseline SPC monomers, the molecular weight and the mole fraction of PEGMA were varied in the synthesis process. The resulting SPCs were coated to the substrate plates for the subsequent hydrodynamic test for skin friction measurement. In a low-Reynolds number flow measurement using PIV (Particle Image Velocimeter), a significant reduction in Reynolds stress was observed in a range of specimen, with the maximum drag reduction being 15.9% relative to the smooth surface.

Functional Analysis of Spectinomycin Biosynthetic Genes from Streptomyces spectabilis ATCC 27741

  • The function of genes related to spectinomycin biosynthesis (spcD, speA, speB, spcS2) from Streptomyces spectabilis ATCC 27741, a spectinomycin producer, was analyzed. Each gene was subcloned from a spectinomycin biosynthetic gene cluster and overexpressed in E. coli BL21 (DE3) using pET vector. After incubating each purified protein with its possible substrates, the final products were analyzed using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). From these results, spcD, speA, and speB have been identified to be dTDP-glucose synthase, myo-inositol monophosphatase, and myo-inositol dehydrogenase, respectively. In addition, the results suggest that the spcS2 gene product functions downstream of the speB gene product in the biosynthetic pathway of spectinomycin. Taken together, the present study elucidates the early steps of the biosynthetic pathway for 6-deoxyhexose (6-DOH) part (actinospectose) and aminocyclitol part (actinamine) of spectinomycin.

Obtaining the zwitterionic form of L-lysine from L-lysine monohydrochloride by electrodialysis

  • The process of electromembrane transformation of L-lysine monohydrochlorides into their zwitterionic form in four- and two-chamber electrodialysis apparatus was investigated. The process of transformation at various concentrations of lysine monohydrochloride (0.1-0.6 mol.L-1) was studied and it was established that at the optimum density of current optimal concentrations of lysine hydrochloride during electrodyalisis was in the range of 0.2-0.4 mol.L-1. It was determined that the process of total transformation was accomplished when pH of the lysine solution achieved 10. Changes of concentrations of $Cl^-$ ions and lysine diffused into the neighboring chamber were determined depending on the time. The method developed by us allows adjusting the removal coefficient of $Cl^-$ ions during transformation to a maximal value, the losses of lysine diffused into the next chamber after its return to the technological cycle being less than 1.0 %. The specific energy consumption during the process of transformation in two- and four-chamber electrodialyzers was 0.19 and 0.205 A.h.kg-1 and the current efficiency was 75.9 and 73.1 %, correspondingly. Study of the process of electromembrane transformation allowed obtaining zwitterionic form of L-lysine from L-lysine monohydrochloride with minimal reagent and energy consumption.

우리나라 자산유동화 제도의 최근 경향과 과제 (A Study on Assets Backed Securities in Korea)

  • 자산유동화증권(ABS)이 우리나라에 도입된 지도 5 년 이상 경과하였다. 자산유동화제도를 통해 금융기관은 부실채권을 정리에, 기업은 구조조정을 수행하는데 많은 도움을 받았다. ABS제도가 어느 정착되고 있는 이 시점에서 ABS제도의 보다 활발한 이용을 위해서 필요한 것이 무엇인지 알아보는 것은 의미있는 일이다. SPC를 설립할 수 있는 자격요건, 자본금 규모의 완화, ABS 발행절차의 간소화 추구, 하나의 SPC에서 다수의 자산유동화계획 실행, 채권과 파생상품 등을 결합한 새로운 ABS상품 개발, 부당한 조세감면만을 목적으로 한 SPC 설립 억제 등에 대한 추가적인 검토가 필요하다.

Implementation of magnetic Fe3O4@ZIF-8 nanocomposite to activate sodium percarbonate for highly effective degradation of organic compound in aqueous solution

  • Here, as-synthesized $Fe_3O_4$ nanoparticles were incorporated into the zeolitic imidazolate framework (ZIF-8) lattice to activate sodium percarbonate (SPC) for degradation of methylene blue (MB). The reaction rate constant of $Fe_3O_4@ZIF-8/SPC$ process ($0.0632min^{-1}$) at acidic conditions (pH = 3) was more than six times that of the $Fe_3O_4/SPC$ system ($0.009min^{-1}$). Decreasing the solute concentration, along with increasing SPC concentration and $Fe_3O_4@ZIF-8$ nanocomposite (NC) dosage, favored the catalytic degradation of MB. The $Fe_3O_4@ZIF-8$ NC after fifteen consecutive treatment processes showed the excellent stability with a negligible drop in the efficiency of the system (<10%). The reaction pathway was obtained via GC-MS analysis.
