Purpose: In this paper, we provide an illustration of Indonesian youth Social Networking Service (SNS) behavior and its relation to their culinary activity. Specifically, their behavior of culinary activity preferences and also the factors affecting their action of spending their money. Data and methodology: We gathered primary data from stratified random questionnaire survey (406 youth). The gathered data was analyzed using text data mining and statistics using R statistical computing language. Results: 1) We found out why our respondents are interested in following the accounts of SNS food influencers: i.e. visually attracted to the posts, as their reference to find places to dine out, as their reference to try new food menu and to get nostalgic feeling about the food. 2) The respondents decide to actually go to the recommended culinary places because of several factors, specifically, its description (visual and text), location, word of mouth (WoM), the experience of being to that place and price. 3) Important factors affecting culinary spent are income, number of following food influencer account, SNS usage time and their interest when looking at WoM. Conclusions: SNS behavior influences Indonesian youth culinary activity preferences and spent.
Social Network Services (SNS) have become a vital means of shopping, significantly influencing consumers' purchases of fashion products. The aim of this study was to identify bandwagon consumption among fashion consumers and to analyze the effects of bandwagon consumption on negative emotions, purchase discontinuation, and switching intention. A survey questionnaire was developed, and data were obtained from 285 female consumers in Korea aged in their 20s and 30s who had experienced guilt, regret, or disappointment after purchasing fashion products using SNS during the previous six months. The survey results indicated four different types of band- wagon consumption: intentional, impulsive, unintentional, and planned. The presence of negative emotions such as guilt, disappointment, and regret were affected by different types of bandwagon consumption. Intentional bandwagon consumption only affected guilt, while unintentional bandwagon consumption affected both guilt and disappointment. Impulsive bandwagon consumption affected guilt and regret; however, planned bandwagon consumption only affected regret. Furthermore, negative emotions affected purchase discontinuation and switching intention. Planned bandwagon con- sumption had an effect on both purchase discontinuation and switching intention, while both impulsive and unintentional bandwagon consumption influenced switching intention only. Intentional bandwagon consumption had no effect on either purchase discontinuation or switching intention. The results of this study indicate that SNS consumers' bandwagon consumption causes different negative emotions, purchase discontinuation, and switching intention.
The acceleration of digital transformation (DX) has resulted in SNS influencer marketing trends becoming the mainstream of the new market. SNS influencers act as early adopters in the process of new products being accepted. Chinese consumers are most affected by Hallyu, which increases interest in K-beauty products. This study analyzes how K-beauty SNS influencers are related to Chinese consumers. A survey was conducted among Chinese millennial consumers after watching videos provided by K-beauty SNS influencer; subsequently, 456 responses were used for data analysis. As a result, the analysis based on the Elaboration Likelihood Model (ELM) distinguishes the central route and the peripheral route in the process of Chinese consumers accepting new SNS products. The study findings suggested that information quality, credibility, accuracy, and usefulness had significant effects on acceptance intention for new products among central route factors, and similarity, trustworthiness, pleasure, expertise, and attractiveness also had significant effects on the acceptance intention of new product among peripheral route factors. It was found that variables of the central route, rather than those of peripheral route, had stronger effects on the acceptance intention for new products. Consequently, the central route of K-beauty SNS influencer is more important to Chinese consumers' acceptance of new products. It is expected that this study will offer beauty influencer marketing-based cosmetics brands efficient consumer management suggestions.
This article empirically examines the relationship between values, consumer innovativeness, online opinion leadership, and new product adoption behavior utilizing wearable technology as the overall unit of analysis. The authors analyze data collected from SNS users who possess one or more wearable devices using a structural equation modeling approach to examine the direct effects. Moreover, a bootstrapping approach is adopted to explore the indirect effects between the constructs. The results indicate that consumers who value stimulation and hedonism are more inclined to possess stronger consumer innovativeness. Consumer innovativeness also positively influences online opinion leadership, ultimately leading to the faster adoption of new products. The mediating effect of consumer innovativeness between the value stimulation and online opinion leadership is also confirmed. In addition, although consumer innovativeness has no direct effect on new product adoption behavior, it does have an indirect, mediating effect through online opinion leadership.
Recently, there happens many purchasing cases encouraged by friends' recommendation in SNS (Social Network Service). This study investigates the effect of friend recommendation on consumers' purchasing heuristic. For this purpose, we compare the effect of friend recommendation with consumer recommendation in terms of trustworthy, specialty, relevancy. Usually, the frequency of friend recommendation is far lower than that of consumer recommendation. Hence, we examine how the effect of information source (friend recommendation or consumer recommendation) is moderated by the frequency of recommendation, as well. As results, this study finds out that, under the same frequency, friend recommendation does not have significantly stronger effect on the purchasing heuristic, although friend recommendation is evidenced as one of significant heuristic inducers. However, in terms of trustworthy, friend recommendation is significantly superior to the consumer recommendation. Moreover, under sufficiently higher frequency, friend recommendation works as better heuristic factor than consumer recommendation. The results deliver managerial implications in the perspective of understanding consumers' purchasing decisions and responding strategies of firms.
The number of SNS false and exaggerative advertising has been consistently increasing nowadays. Among others, millennials who use SNS most frequently and enjoy e-commerce have become victims of false and exaggerative advertising. Thus, this study is designed to examine millennial consumers' attitude toward SNS false and exaggerative advertising through in-depth interview. Study findings suggest that millennials have very negative attitude toward SNS false and exaggerative advertising regardless of if they are victims or not. In particular, millennials who are victims of SNS false and exaggerative advertising have negative attitude toward SNS companies as well as advertised brands on SNS. Millennial consumers think that SNS companies need to come up with guidelines to regulate SNS false and exaggerative advertising, and government also needs to apply proper measures. Since SNS false and exaggerative advertising may have negative impacts on millennials' purchase intentions as well as brand loyalty, companies need to consider millennial consumers' characteristics when it comes to launching SNS advertising targeting millennials. This finding provides practical implications for marketers.
The objective of the study is to explore how to influence SNS's characteristics on attitude formation toward jewelry product and online shopping mall. SNS's characteristics are contextuality, responsiveness, social presence, and interaction as independent variables. Consumer satisfaction, worth of mouth and purchase intention are considered as dependent variables. Data were collected from a survey of 317 consumers who have experience to purchase jewelry product to examine their attitude toward SNSs, jewelry product, and online shopping mall from November 1 to November 15 2013. In order to test hypotheses, CFA analysis with covariance structure analysis was conducted using EQS6b. SNS's users have a tendency to perceive SNSs as bridge to connect other people and to get new information as well as they are willing to feel familiarity on SNSs. Users, who have a higher contextuality, responsiveness, social presence, and interaction of SNS's characteristics, are willing to have word of mouth intention of jewelry product as well as have high satisfaction. The study found that interaction is not effect on consumer satisfaction because interaction factor is to evaluate SNSs as one of the media.

We can build regular relationships with customers by integrating SNS (Social Networking Service) and internet shopping mall functions. For example of direct dealing of agricultural products, consumers can find news of regular sellers (seeding, farming, harvesting and new products) in the timeline at their SNS home. Then, they can purchase the necessary products by one click motion. The sellers provide news and discount information for building regular customers. Besides these SNS personal connection building, our system provides shopping mall functions to consumer's SNS home pages with auto classified catalog of products. Then, consumes easily find necessary products and these purchase may lead to regular relationships with sellers. Consumers may redistribute recommendations and reviews and it enables direct communications between consumers who are unknown to each other.
The purpose of this study is to find out the consumer's purchasing behavior and its factors when a convenience store brand is marketing new PB products online. For this study, we surveyed 2030 millennials about the purchase behavior of convenience store PB products and the paths to encounter PB products. As a result, consumers who purchase convenience store PB products were exposed to the product through SNS or YouTube, and they tended to join the trend by posting on SNS after purchase. In this study, we want to examine the consumption trends of millennials that have this type of consumption and the concept of online marketing that affects them. It is hoped that future consumer purchases will continue to be valuable consumption rather than relying on trends.

This study analyzed the influence of social distance and visual information on consumers' fashion style preferences in terms of information characteristics and providers. Data were collected from 521 females in their twenties and thirties who had experience using SNS. The empirical study results were as follows. First, with other factors of exposure under control, the social distance of information characteristics and providers showed a significant impact on fashion style preferences only when social distances were close. Second, the impact of social distance varied depending on the consumer's characteristics. This proved that innovation had significant negative influences, while conformity and informational sensitivity to others showed positive influences on the effects of social distance in terms of information characteristics. Innovation and fashion leadership also showed a negative influence on the social distance effect in terms of information providers. Third, conformity, informational sensitivity to others, and fashion leadership, proved to have a significant impact on the acceptance of eWOM in fashion styles, but innovativeness and normative sensitivity to others did not have a significant influence. This study can be used as baseline data in SNS marketing strategies for vitalizing information spread through eWOM.
