Zero Crossing 방식을 이용한 펄스형 Nd:YAG 레이저의 출력 특성 (The output characteristics of pulsed Nd:YAG laser using Zero Crossing method)

  • For general laser power supply. output of the secondary of the power transformer is connected to the rectifier and filter capacitor. The output of a rectifier is applied to a switching element in the secondary of the transformer. So, power supply is complicated and the loss of switching is considerably. In addition, according to increasing pulse repetition. charged energy of energy storage capacitor is not transferred sufficiently to flashlamp. and laser output efficiency decreases. In this paper, to improve laser efficiency. we designed and fabricated the power supply in which the SCR was turned on in zero point by the method of ZCC(zero crossing control)in result, laser output efficiency in creased by about 3.5% other than conventional supply. when a repetition rate was increased by 10[pps]. In 60[pps]. efficiency was about 20%.

  • Hydrogen - Oxygen gas has obtained from water electrolysis reaction. It is mixed gas havingconstant volume ratio 2:1 Hydrogen and Oxygen, and it is used as a source of thermal energy by combustion reaction. This gas has betterristics in the field of economy, efficiency of energy, and environmental intimacy than used both of acetylene gas and LPG for gas welding machin. So nowdays many studies of Water-Electrolyzed gas are progressed, and commercially used as a source of thermal energy for gas welding In the industry. For Water-Electrolyzed Source, it was used diode rectifier or SCR rectifier for get DC source. This method which is not looking to improve a source for impossible current control or voltage and limited control intervals. In this paper, it was relized and designed in source of pulse type for complementing existing-DC source type, also by experiment it was acquired producting characteristics of Hydrogen -Oxygen Gas through feature of source

  • 본 연구에서는 인버터를 구동하는 용도의 직류전원장치에 대한 제어 알고리즘 개발을 목표로 하고 있으며, 구동과 회생기능을 갖는 전압형 PWM 컨버터에서 운전시 전원의 불평형을 보상하는 제어방법을 제안하고자 한다. 이를 위해 전력회생기능을 갖는 정류기에 대하여 기존 다이오드 및 SCR을 이용한 정류방식과의 비교를 통해 본 제어방식의 우수성을 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통해 입증하고자 한다. 전력변환기가 항상 평형상태를 유지하기 위해 전류제어 루프에 의하여 불평형 상태를 보상하는 방법을 사용하였으며, 통상적으로 전력변환기의 구성시 각상의 리액턴스가 같지 않은 누설변압기 등의 사용을 가능하게 하므로 제안된 전력변환기의 리액턴스가 불평형상태가 되어도 운전시 항상 평형상태로 유지되어 시스템을 안정적으로 구동 시킬 수 있는 제어기법의 설계를 통해 어떤 환경에서도 장치의 안정된 구동특성을 확인하고자 하였다.

상용변압기와 결합된 초전도체 및 상전도체 한류기의 고장전류 및 보호기기 동작특성 (Characteristics of the Fault Current and the Protection for Superconducting and Normal Conducting Limiter combined with a Transformer)

  • With increasing demand of power, the equipment of power system is enlarging and the absolute capacity is going up. As a result, when a fault occurs, the fault current is consistently increasing. Therefore, I suggested some solution for limiting the fault current more efficiently. This study shows the characteristics of superconducting limiting elements and normal conducting elements combined with a transformer. We performed a short-circuit test about the fault current by using SCR switching control system operated from a CT. When short circuit accidents happened in the secondary side of a transformer, fault currents flowed and a SCR switching control system was operated. It resulted in a decrease of the fault current in the limited elements of third winding connected in parallel. For this test, we used YBCO thin films and normal conducting elements as the limited elements. Within a cycle, a superconducting fault current limiter with YBCO thin films reduced more than 90% of fault current because the resistance of superconducting elements sustainedly grew. On the other hand, the limiter with normal conductors limited as much as a set value because its resistance characteristic was linear. Consequently, in case of the limiter with superconductor, limiting range of the circuit was wide but the range of protective detection was undefined. In contrast, as for the limiter with normal conductors, limiting range and protection duty were appropriate.

자기센서를 이용한 위치검출 실린더의 환경변화에 따른 성능평가 (Sensing performance evaluation under various environment condition of stroke sensing cylinder using magnetic sensor)

  • We have developed a part of hydraulic stroke sensing cylinder using magnetic sensor that can detect each position under severe construction fields. In this paper, for evaluating the developed cylinder under various environment condition, thermal control systems and two hydraulic systems to be coupled consist of. The former is composed of an heater case, temperature sensor, and interface circuits which include SCR(silicon controlled rectifier) for the control of the voltage's phase. The latter is composed of an hydraulic cylinder for position control with solenoid valve (ON/OFF motion) and a load cylinder with proportional reducing valve. To obtain the various performance evaluation, it is carried out under high temperature condition in thermal system controlled by using Ziegler-Nichols PID tuning method and artificial disturbances such as impulse or constant force. The results show that the developed cylinder has good performance under the various environment condition.

A Design of BJT-based ESD Protection Device combining SCR for High Voltage Power Clamps

  • This paper presents a novel bipolar junction transistor (BJT) based electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection device. This protection device was designed for 20V power clamps and fabricated by a process with Bipolar-CMOS-DMOS (BCD) $0.18{\mu}m$. The current-voltage characteristics of this protection device was verified by the transmission line pulse (TLP) system and the DC BV characteristic was verified by using a semiconductor parameter analyzer. From the experimental results, the proposed device has a trigger voltage of 29.1V, holding voltage of 22.4V and low on-resistance of approximately $1.6{\Omega}$. In addition, the test of ESD robustness showed that the ESD successfully passed through human body model (HBM) 8kV. In this paper, the operational mechanism of this protection device was investigated by structural analysis of the proposed device. In addition, the proposed device were obtained as stack structures and verified.

  • We developed a part of hydraulic stroke sensing cylinder for te purpose of position controlbyusing magnetic sensor and evaluated variously its performance its performance. In this paper, for the evaluation of the developed cylinder under various temperature change, thermal control systems are designed and controlled. It is composed of an heater case, temperature sensor, and interface circuits which included SCR(silicon controlled rectifier) for the control of the voltage's phase. To obtain various temperature conditions, the thermal systems are controlled by using Ziegler-Nichols PED tuning method. The thermalcontrol systems are used to experiment to evaluate whether the developed cylinder can obtain a stable output signal for detecting a stroke of the cylinder under the controlled temperature condition.

  • 본 연구는 도금용 정류기의 성능개선 및 부피저감을 위해 PWM 방식의 정류기 구성에 관한 것이다. 제안된 PWM(Pulse- width modulation) 정류기는 기존의 SCR 정류기에 비하여 전류제어기의 속응성을 개선 할 수 있었으며, 그 사이즈 면에서 기존방식에 비하여 대폭감소할 수 있었다. 또한 출력전압 15[V], 출력전류 1,000[A]인 15[Kw]급 PWM정류기 프로토타입을 제작 및 실험을 통하여 그 타당성을 입증하였다.

Electrical Characteristics and Thermal Reliability of Stacked-SCRs ESD Protection Device for High Voltage Applications

  • The latch-up immunity of the high voltage power clamps used in high voltage ESD protection devices is very becoming important in high-voltage applications. In this paper, a stacking structure with a high holding voltage and a high failure current is proposed and successfully verified in 0.18um CMOS and 0.35um BCD technology to achieve the desired holding voltage and the acceptable failure current. The experimental results show that the holding voltage of the stacking structure can be larger than the operation voltage of high-voltage applications. Changes in the characteristics of the stacking structure under high temperature conditions (300K-500K) are also investigated.

  • 현재 단조용 유도가열 전원으로 사용되는 전류원 SCR 정류기 / 인버터는 입력단의 낮은 역률과 높은 THd를 갖는다. 이러한 단점들 때문에 최근 유도가열 전원장치로써 IGBT PWM 전류원 정류기 및 인버터회로가 연구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 IGBT PWM 정류기 및 인버터의 제어회로를 제안하고 제어회로의 모델링을 통해 제어기를 설계하여 실험을 통해 그 성능을 검증하였다.
