  • In this paper, we present an overall algorithm for real-time camera parameter extraction which is one of key elements in implementing virtual studio. The prevailing mechanical methode for tracking cameras have several disadvantage such as the price, calibration with the camera and operability. To overcome these disadvantages we calculate camera parameters directly from the input image using computer-vision technique. When using zoom lenses, it requires real time calculation of lens distortion. But in Tsai algorithm, adopted for camera calibration, it can be calculated through nonlinear optimization in triple parameter space, which usually takes long computation time. We proposed a new method, separating lens distortion parameter from the other two parameters, so that it is reduced to nonlinear optimization in one parameter space, which can be computed fast enough for real time application.

Interfacial Microstructure and Electrical Properties of $Al_2O_3/Si$ Interface of Mono-crystalline Silicon Solar Cells (단결정 실리콘 태양전지에서 후열처리에 따른 $Al_2O_3/Si$ 계면조직의 특성 변화)

  • Efficient and inexpensive solar cells are necessary for photo-voltaic to be widely adopted for mainstream electricity generation. For this to occur, the recombination losses of charge carriers (i.e. electrons or holes) must be minimized using a surface passivation technique suitable for manufacturing. Recently it has been shown that aluminum oxide thin films are negatively charged dielectrics that provide excellent surface passivation of silicon solar cells to attract positive-charged holes. Especially aluminum oxide thin film is a quite suitable passivation on the rear side of p-type silicon solar cells. This paper, it demonstrate the interfacial microstructure and electrical properties of mono-crystalline silicon surface passivated by $Al_2O_3$ films during firing process as applied for screen-printed solar cells. The first task is a comparison of the interfacial microstructure and chemical bonds of PECVD $Al_2O_3$ and of PEALD $Al_2O_3$ films for the surface passivation of silicon. The second is to study electrical properties of double-stacked layers of PEALD $Al_2O_3$/PECVD SiN films after firing process in the temperature range of $650{\sim}950^{\circ}C$.

Potentials of Regional Clustering: the Case of Food Industry at Gyeongsangnam-Do (식품 클러스터의 잠재성 분석: 경남지역을 중심으로)

  • There are worldwidely rising interests in food cluster as it has been perceived as a strategy for improving the competitiveness of food industry. This paper examines the potential of food industry at Gyeongsangnam-do for a regional clustering in terms of five cluster indices. These indices include the absolute size, the relative size of food industry, the level of its concentration, specialization, and market power exertion as an industrial cluster. The result shows that food industry at Gyeongsangnam-do has a potential for a regional clustering.

  • In Korea, there is a high demand for the operation of differentiated programs in basic research considering the characteristics of academic fields. The results of this study shows that the higher the level of research competence, the higher the quality of research outputs. The results also tell us that the quality level of the research outputs is different according to the field of study. Based on the results, we propose a method to differentiate the selection rate of each discipline in the system that operates the individual basic research projects by the level of research capacity.

  • Electro-membrane technology is a process for separating and purifying substances in aqueous solution by electric energy using an ion exchange membrane with selective permeability, such as electrodialysis (ED) and bipolar electrodialysis (BMED). Electro-membrane technology is attracting attention as an environmental friendly technology because it does not generate by-products during the process and the recovered base or acid can be reused during the process. In this paper, we investigate the principles of ED and BMED technologies and various characteristics and problems according to the cell configuration. In particular, by investigating and analyzing research cases related to the treatment of waste sodium sulfate (Na2SO4), which is generated in large amounts during the metal recovery process.

  • Silicon wafer for making semiconductor devices and solar cell is used in the semiconductor and solar industry, respectively. Silicon wafer is produced by cutting with silicon ingot and sludge contains silicon occurs from cutting process. Generation of silicon sludge is increasing on developing all industry sectors which have need of semiconductor device. These days it has been widely studied for the recycling technologies of the silicon sludge from view points of economy and efficiency. In this paper, patents and paper on the recycling technologies of the silicon sludge were analyzed. The range of search was limited in the open patents of USA (US), European Union (EU), Japan (JP), Korea (KR) and SCI journals from 1982 to 2011. Patents and journals were collected using key-words searching and filtered by filtering criteria. The trends of the patents and journals was analyzed by the years, countries, companies, and technologies.

  • It is generally well known that PCB (Printed Circuit Board) is an electric component assembled by various metals mixed with plastics and ceramics. Accordingly, it is very important to extract metallic components from used PCBs from the point of view of recycling of used resources as well as an environmental protection. In this paper, patents and paper on the recycling technologies of PCB were analyzed. The range of search was limited in the open patents of USA (US), European Union (EP), Japan (JP), Korea (KR) and SCI journals from 1980 to 2011. Patents and journals were collected using key-words searching and filtered by filtering criteria.   • This research was carried out to investigate the component isolation method from liquefied waste paper. and isolated component was analyzed by molecular weight distribution with gel chromatography and nitrobenzene-oxidation analysis. In the aspect of liquefaction ratio, wet defibration fiber are better than dry defibration fiber because of wet defiberation fiber was easy to access of chemical solution. The optimal liquefaction condition of waste paper was treated at 190℃ for 60 min(cresol 2 ㎖, water 4 ㎖, phosphoric acid 0.5 ㎖ based on waste paper 1 g). In the liquefied waste paper, lignin and carbohydrate were separated with two interfacial layer(cresol layer, water layer). In the chemical analysis of isolated lignin, molecular weight distribution of isolated lignin was below 1,000.

  • The artificial dry silica used as dry aggregates in domestic is collected increasing every year. It is required drying process for the production of dry aggregates, therefore, it is main culprit of the cost up of aggregates and air pollution by using fossil fuel for the solution, it is developed alternative aggregates for the replacement of dry aggregates very ungently. In this article, the patents and papers for the recycling technology on the high-efficiency rapid cooling method of ladle furnace slag were collected and analyzed. The open patents of USA (US), European Union (EP), Japan (JP), and Korea (KR) and SCI journals from 1977 to 2013 were investigated. The patents and journals were collected using key-words and filtered by the definition of the technology. The patents and journals were analyzed by the years, countries, companies, and technologies and the technical trends were discussed in this paper.
