The purpose of this study is to construct a total design & manufacturing system for the Space-Truss structure. In this study, we choose the transmission tower as the study model to show the possibility of a Total System for another space truss structure. We are confident that this total system should provide more convenience, accuracy and should help to save time from the design stage to construct stage of the transmission tower.

A new display device is required, which has concepts of flatness and slimness. FED can be one of the solutions. When we use flat panel, we can save the raw material and reduce the production time by eliminating the printing process, drying process, and washing process. In this case, good panel flatness and consistency with panel flatness and black matrix is the precondition. Therefor, we analyzed process capability of panel flatness and regression between panel flatness and BM position by experiments.

By using homestyle microwave oven, Al-Al2O3 powder mixture could be oxidized and sintered into Al2O3 body. The differences in powder characteristics among the differently processed raw materials affect the oxidation and sintering behaviours, and these effects were more pronounced in case of microwave oven than of conventional furnace. Al-Al2O3 powder mixture was oxidized and sintered within 2hrs, which could save both processing time and energy.

The purpose of this study was to review the technological deterministic debate that the development of household technology would decrease housework. For the purpose this study made use of all sorts of literature and the interview resources obtained from 86 housewives above 30 years old. It was expected the household capital goods would save housework time and labor. The total time spent in housework and fatigue however seemed not much lessened during the diffusion period. Household capital goods were also expected to enhace the housework satisfaction and increase much housework participation of husband and children; yet neither of them appeared much high during the diffusion period.

We report a case of primary undifferentiated cardiac sarcoma. The tumor originated from the left atrial free wall with multi-organ metastases, e.g., lung, and adrenal gland. The patient gradually grew worse with dyspnea and hemoptysis because of the obstructed left atrial outflow. Surgical resection of the left atrial sarcoma was undertaken to save the patient's life, followed by chemotherapy and brain irradiation as adjuvant therapy. The prognosis of cardiac sarcoma with metastases is very poor. However, in patients with hemodynamic instability, surgical intervention could be a therapeutic modality as palliation.

현대의 Deep-Submicron Technology(DSM)에선 배선에 관련된 문제, 예를 들어 crosstalk이나 노이즈 등이 큰 문제가 된다. 그리하여, 배선은 논리 구성요소들보다 더욱 중요한 위치를 차지하게 되었다. 우리는 이러한 배선을 고려하여 연산식을 최적화하기 위해 carry-save-adder(CSA)를 이용한 모듈 함성 알고리즘을 제시한다. 즉, 상위 단계에서 생성 된 규칙적인 배선 토폴로지를 유지하며 CSA간의 배선을 좀더 향상시키는 최적의 알고리즘을 제안한다. 우리는 우리의 이러한 방법으로 생성된 지연시간이 [1]에 가깝거나 거의 근접하는 것을 많은 testcase에서 보이며(배선을 포함하지 않은 상태에서), 그리고 그와 동시에 최종 배선의 길이가 짧고 규칙적인 구조를 갖는것을 보인다.

This paper refers to the flow of products from supplier to discount retailers(DRs). Discount retailers prefer frequent delivery of small amount because of limited storage space, while suppliers prefer less frequent delivery of larger amount in order to save transportation cost. In this paper we propose a heuristic algorithm to determine the amount of order and the frequency of delivery which decreases the expected length of stockout. We also evaluate various order policies for Vendor Managed Inventory(VMI) system using simulation with real data.

The prismatic luminaire named as a dome pendent is considered to save energy and improve visibility. This luminaire is using prismatic rome, and is designed to be used in commercial and industrial high-bay applications where quality light levels and energy savings are imperative. Although this kind of luminaire needs an accurate optic calculation process, the lumanires are manufactured without such a process. Therefore the purpose of this study is to develop a numerical model to accurately predict luminous intensity distribution of luminaire with prism.

This paper gives a feasibility reference of integrating power automation for digital substation. An overview and techno-economical potential of IEC61850 are introduced. The result of economic analysis is shown to save up to one-third of the total cost of automation installation. The gained benefits can be used to increase the economy and reliability of electrical power system.

This experiment is significant because we can provide information by measuring effect of energy saving for whom plan to install a geothermal heat & cooling system. The result shows geothemal system can save about 50% of energy(heating : 35%, cooling : 60%) and we verified that when using curtain can help saving 4~12% of energy additionally.
