The Effects of Prolonged Sitting in a Cross-legged Posture on Pulmonary Function in Young Adults

  • Purpose: The impact of prolonged sitting in a cross-legged posture on physiological factors has not been extensively studied. We therefore attempted to evaluate whether prolonged sitting in a cross-legged posture affects pulmonary function in normal young adults. Methods: Twenty-four participants were recruited in this study, and the participants were equally allocated to the normal sitting posture group (NSP group, n=12) or sitting posture with the cross-legs group (SPCL group, n=12). The NSP group sat on chairs without crossing their legs for 30 minutes, and the SPCL group sat on the chair with legs crossed (the right knee on the left knee or the left knee on the right knee) for 30 minutes. The pulmonary function of the subjects was evaluated based on forced vital capacity (FVC), forced expiratory volume in one second (FEV1), FVC/FEV1, and peak expiratory flow (PEF) measured using a spirometer. Results: In the intra-group comparison, the SPCL group showed significant differences in FVC and FEV1 before and after sitting (p<0.05), but no significant differences (p>0.05) were observed in the NSP group. However, there were no significant differences between the two groups in the pulmonary function parameters measured before and after sitting (p>0.05). Conclusion: Our results confirmed that prolonged sitting in a cross-legged posture could have a negative influence on pulmonary function. Therefore, if a sitting position is maintained for a long time, the correct sitting posture should be maintained to prevent musculoskeletal disorders as well as to maintain normal pulmonary function.

4-Move ZKIP Using WH and WI and Its Applications (Wh와 Wi를 이용한 4-move ZKIP과 그 응용)

  • In this paper, we will propose 4-move ZKIP and its application. Using bit-commitment scheme that is necessary to organize the ZKIP related to NP-Complete problem and WH and WI preserving the property for security under parallel composition of protocols, we will show that the proposed ZKIP is 4-move ZKIP of SAT comparing to 6-move ZKIP of SAT proposed by Brassard. Chaum and Yung, and under claw-free pairs of function the proposed ZKIP is also 4-move ZKIP comparing to 5-move ZKIP proposed by Goldreich and Krawczyk under the same assumption. Moreover we will show the efficiency of the proposed scheme better than Fiat and Shamir's scheme at the points of computational complexity and communication complexity, and also propose the efficient and secure identification scheme against the chosen ciphertext attack, using the proposed scheme.

Influence of Parameters on Adhesion Strength on TiN Film by using R.F. Plasma Assisted Chemical Vapor Deposition (PACVD로 증착된 TiN 박막의 밀착성에 관하여)

  • In this study, TiN film was deposited onto steel by R.F.-PACVD in order to investigate the influence of parameters on the adhesion strength between film and substrate. Experimental results showed that adhesion strength by SAT is different from by optical microscopy. Adhesion strength is increased when the deposition temperature increases and is influenced by R.F. power and electrode distance. Especially heat treatment on the substrate has influenced over the adhesion strength, so it showed the 22 Newtons in adhesion strength by SAT and adhesion strength is decreased when deposition thickeness is thick and hardness is high. Also if the film is thick and high hardness simultaneous, the film was delaminated seriously.

  • For the flight education, it needs a lot of money. Most of people become airline transportation pilots after completing a course. Therefore it is important to select superior students who adapt themselves to flight for flying education. At present, students who have a good high school record and SAT(Scholastic Aptitude Test) are chosen, and educated at Hankuk aviation university, department of aeronautical science and flight operation. This research studies the professor's recognition of the relationship between practical flight skills and high school record, university grades, and SAT grades.. On this analysis result, there are significant differences between belonging education, completion and work experience.

Synthesis and Spectroscopic Characterization of the New Sitting-atop Complexes from Reaction of Zirconyl Nitrate and Free Base meso-Tetraarylporphyrins in Mild Conditions

  • A series of sitting-atop (SAT) complexes, [(ZrO)$H_2t(X)pp(NO_3)_2$], have been prepared via the reactions of free base meso-tetraarylporphyrins, $H_2$t(X)pp, with zirconyl nitrate hydrate, ZrO(N$O_3)_2{\cdot}xH_2$O. The products have been characterized by a variety of methods including $^1H\;NMR,\;^{13}C$ NMR, IR and UV-Vis spectroscopies, elemental analysis and conductance measurements. The data indicate that the meso-tetraarylporphyrins coordinate with two pyrrolenine nitrogen atoms to the zirconyl cation located above the distorted porphyrin plane and two protons remain on the pyrrole nitrogens. Such half sandwich-type sitting-atop complexes may be considered as models for the initial steps of the metallation of the macrocycles.

Formation CubeSat Constellation, SNIPE mission

  • This presentation introduces Korea's SNIPE (Small scale magNespheric and Ionospheric Plasma Experiment) mission, formation flying CubeSat constellation. Observing particles and waves on a single satellite suffers from inherent space-time ambiguity. To observe spatial and temporal variations of the micro-scale plasma structures on the topside ionosphere, four 6U CubeSats (~ 10 kg) will be launched into a polar orbit of the altitude of ~500 km in 2021. The distances of each satellite will be controlled from 10 km to more than 100 km by formation flying algorithm. The SNIPE mission is equipped with identical scientific instruments, solid-state telescope, magnetometer, and Langmuir probe. All the payloads have a high temporal resolution (sampling rates of about 10 Hz). Iridium modules provide an opportunity to upload changes in operational modes when geomagnetic storms occur. SNIPE's observations of the dimensions, occurrence rates, amplitudes, and spatiotemporal evolution of polar cap patches, field-aligned currents (FAC), radiation belt microbursts, and equatorial and mid-latitude plasma blobs and bubbles will determine their significance to the solar wind-magnetosphere-ionosphere interaction and quantify their impact on space weather.

  • In this paper, the high-voltage novel devices have been fabricated by 0.35 um BCD (Bipolar-CMOS-DMOS) process. Electrical characteristics of 20 V level BJT device, 30/60 V HV-CMOS, and 40/60 V LDMOS are analyzed. Also, the vertical/lateral BJT with the high-current gain and LIGBT with the high-voltage are proposed. In the experimental results, vertical/lateral BJT has breakdown voltage of 15 V and current gain of 100. The proposed LIGBT with the high-voltage has breakdown voltage of 195 V, threshold voltage of 1.5 V, and Vce, sat of 1.65 V.

Real Time On-board Orbit Determination Performance Analysis of Low Earth Orbit Satellites (저궤도 위성의 실시간 On-board 궤도 결정 성능 분석)

  • In this paper, a real time on-board orbit determination method using the extended kalman filter is suggested and its performance is analyzed in the environment of the orbit. Considering the limited on-board resources, the $J_2$ orbit propagate model and the GPS navigation solution are used for on-board orbit determination. The analysis result of the on-board orbit determination method implemented in DubaiSat-2 showed that position and velocity error are improved from 70.26 m to 26.25 m and from 3.6 m/s to 0.044 m/s, respectively when abnormal excursion errors is removed in the GPS navigation solution.

  • This paper proposes a classifier based on rectangular feature to detect face in real time. The goal is to realize a strong detection algorithm which satisfies both efficiency in calculation and detection performance. The proposed algorithm consists of the following three stages: Feature creation, classifier study and real time facial domain detection. Feature creation organizes a feature set with the proposed five rectangular features and calculates the feature values efficiently by using SAT (Summed-Area Tables). Classifier learning creates classifiers hierarchically by using the AdaBoost algorithm. In addition, it gets excellent detection performance by applying important face patterns repeatedly at the next level. Real time facial domain detection finds facial domains rapidly and efficiently through the classifier based on the rectangular feature that was created. Also, the recognition rate was improved by using the domain which detected a face domain as the input image and by using PCA and KNN algorithms and a Class to Class rather than the existing Point to Point technique.

Dielectric and Magnetic Properties of Co-doped Ni0.65Zn0.35Fe2O4 Thin Films Prepared by Using a Sol-gel Method

  • $Ni_{0.65}Zn_{0.35}Fe_2O_4$thin films were prepared by using a sol-gel method. Their crystallographic, dielectric and magnetic properties were investigated as a function of Cu contents by means of an X-ray diffractometer (XRD), X-ray reflectivity, LCZ meter (NF2232), a vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM), and an atomic force microscope (AFM). From typical C-V measurements for $Ni_{0.65}Zn_{0.35}Fe_2O_4$ thin films on p-type silicon substrate, the surface charge density was calculated as 1.4 ${\mu}$C/$m^2$. The dielectric constant evaluated from the capacitance at the accumulation state was 28. The high $H_{c}$ and low $M_{sat}$ at x=0.0 and 0.1 were due to the growth of the ${\alpha}$-$Fe_2O_3$ phase having antiferromagnetic properties. The rapidly decreased $H_{c}$ and increased $M_{sat}$ at x=0.2 and 0.3 can be explained that the ${\alpha}$-$Fe_2O_3$ phases have completely disappeared at x=0.3 and so, non-magnetic defects are minimized. The $M_{sat}$ was slightly decreased and the $H_{c}$ was increased above at x=0.3 because the increase of grain boundary due to smaller grain size acts as defects during magnetization process.
