20세기 초 재즈에 고전음악을 도입한 사람이 있었는데 그가 조지 거쉬인이다. 그는 대중음악 작곡가로 성공했지만 자신의 목적인 재즈와 클래식의 조화를 이루고자 그에 대한 배움을 늦추지 않았고 자신의 작품들에 클래식을 접목시키는 작업을 계속적으로 시도하였다. 본 논문은 거쉬인의 여러 고전음악 작곡가 스승들 중에 쉴링거에게 어떤 영향을 받았으며 그런 영향이 작품들에 어떻게 표현되었는지에 대한 연구이다.

본 논문에서는 Web상에서 데이터베이스를 이용하여 어플리케이션을 개발함에 있어 수행 성능의 대부분을 차지하는 데이터베이스 접속과 해제를 JAVA기반의 class를 이용하여 데이터베이스연결 객체들을 생성하고, 연결객체의 대여와 반환 과정을 통하여 접속과 해제를 최대함 줄임으로써 DB access로 인한 서버의 과부하와 자료처리 지연을 방지하고, 시스템 자원을 효율적으로 운영할 수 있는 향상된 웹 어플리케이션을 구현하고자 하였다.

본 논문에서는 무선센서 네트워크에서 서비스의 질(QoS)을 지원하면서 전송 효율을 높이기 위한 무선 센서네트워크에서의 QMAC 프로토콜을 제안한다. 제안된 QMAC에서는 우선순위를 가지는 패킷 전송을 원하는 송신노드가 CSMA/CA 방식을 통하여 수신 노드에게 전송 요청을 하고, 수신 노드에서는 네트워크 토폴로지와 전송되어지는 패킷의 우선순위와 전송 트래픽 양에 따라 TDMA 방식으로 적절히 슬롯을 할당함으로 여러 수신 노드들 사이에 슬롯 중복 할당으로 인한 충돌을 낮춤으로 QoS를 지원하면서 동시에 전송효율을 높일 수 있다는 장점을 가진다.

The creep behavior of Al-5vol.% SiC composite was investigated. The composite powder was produced by mechanical milling and hot extruded at $450^{\circ}C$ at ratio of 16:1. A creep test was carried out at a constant load at 598, 648, and 673 K. Using the steady-state equations, the threshold stress and the stress exponent of the creep as a function of temperature were determined. The stress exponent was found to be 3 at the temperature of 673 K and 8 at 598 and 648 K. The dependency of the threshold stress to temperature obeys the Arrhenius relationship with the energy term of $29\;kJ\;mole^{-1}$.

To isolate rhizobacteria exhibiting antifungal activities for for five pathogenic fungi (Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, Fusarium solani, Collectotricum gloeosporides, Fusarium oxysporum, and Botrytis cinerea) which cause damage to Ginseng root in Ginseng grown fields, four soils were collected from Cheorlwon gun, in Korea. From 4 soils, a total of 160 bacterial strains were isolated by dilution plate method. Among 160 strains, 32 strains showed antifungal activities for one or more pathogens. From 32 strains, three strains exhibited antifungal activities for all pathogens. These are two Burkholderia cepacia (ATCC 25416 and ET 13) and one Paenibacillus polymyxa (ATCC 842). These potent antifungal strains showed high identities (99% using 16S-rRNA sequencing).

형광체-변환 3파장 백색 발광 다이오드(LED)의 응용을 위하여 일련의 $CaS_{1-x}Se_x:Eu$ 형광체를 합성하였다. $CaS_{1-x}Se_x:Eu$의 구조와 발광 특성을 조사하였다. $CaS_{1-x}Se_x:Eu$ 형광체는 청색 발광 다이오드의 발광 파장인 455nm에서 강한 흡수가 있다. $Eu^{2+}$의 $4f^65d^1(T_{2g}){\rightarrow}4f^7(^8S_{7/2})$ 전이 때문에 CaS:Eu는 651nm에서 적색 발광 봉우리를 가지고 있다. $CaS_{1-x}Se_x:Eu$의 발광 봉우리는 Se이 증가함에 따라서 651nm에서 598nm으로 이동이 된다. $CaS_{1-x}Se_x:Eu$ 형광체는 청색 LED로 여기하면 가변 파장의 적색 발광을 하는 형광체로 사용될 수 있다. $SrGa_2S_4:Eu$와 $CaS_{0.50}Se_{0.50}:Eu$ 형광체를 청색 발광 다이오드에 도포하여 백색 발광 다이오드를 제작하였다.

This paper shows that the solutions to the nonlinear perturbed differential system $$y^{\prime}=f(t,y)+{\int_{t_0}^{t}}g(s,y(s),T_1y(s))ds+h(t,y(t),T_2y(t))$$, have bounded properties. To show these properties, we impose conditions on the perturbed part ${\int_{t_0}^{t}}g(s,y(s),T_1y(s))ds,h(t,y(t),T_2y(t))$, and on the fundamental matrix of the unperturbed system y' = f(t, y) using the notion of h-stability.

This paper introduces and studies a generalization of the classical Struve function of order p given by $$_aS_{p,c}(x):=\sum\limits_{k=0}^{\infty}\frac{(-c)^k}{{\Gamma}(ak+p+\frac{3}{2}){\Gamma}(k+\frac{3}{2})}(\frac{x}{2})^{2k+p+1}$$. Representation formulae are derived for $_aS_{p,c}$. Further the function $_aS_{p,c}$ is shown to be a solution of an (a + 1)-order differential equation. Monotonicity and log-convexity properties for the generalized Struve function $_aS_{p,c}$ are investigated, particulary for the case c = -1. As a consequence, $Tur{\acute{a}}n$-type inequalities are established. For a = 2 and c = -1, dominant and subordinant functions are obtained for the Struve function $_2S_{p,-1}$.

In this paper, a new folding algorithm for design of high density PLA's is proposed. This algorithm generates transform matrix so that programmed region of each row becomes narrow. Based on transform matrix, folding pair is selected. In the process of generating transform matrix, interval degree and dense degree are used to improve folding ratio. This paper also proposes an efficient folding pair graph which has short time of selection folding pair. This proposed algorithm is named PLAFOLII and implemented in C language on VAX-11/750 (UNIX) computer. Through various example, efficiency of this algorithm is verified.

SIP(Session Initiation Protocol) 프로토콜은 인터넷에서 다양한 세션을 위한 시그널링 프로토콜로서 오디오, 비디오 등의 멀티미디어 세션에 주로 사용되고 있다. 또한 망 유지보수 및 관리가 편리하고 다른 시스템과의 확장성 및 유연성이 뛰어나다는 장점을 갖고 있는 반면 기본적으로 Best Effort 서비스만을 지원하는 IP 네트워크에서 QoS(Quality of Service)를 제공하기 때문에 서비스의 품질에 대한 고려가 미약하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는IP 네트워크를 기반으로 하는 SIP에서 QoS를 제공하기 위해 IntServ(Integrated Services)와 DiffServ(Differentiated Services)를 연동한 QoS 메카니즘을 제시한다.
