IHO has been developing S-100 and S-101 based on international standards. According to development It is expected to have a effect on the system which can be used to display information of ENC. In this study, S-100 standard completed is reviewed and S-101 in the second phase is analyzed. In conclusion, we organized the trends of S-100 and S-101 standard and the ripple effect into the system used ENC.

As the technical standard of hydrographic data was transferred from S-57 to S-101, a standard system was set up for producing the next generation ENCs but also various maritime safety information. ECDIS that display a S-57 ENC and include a navigation support function, should be developed considering new standard. S-10X data and e-Nav information can be used in this system. In this study, an implementation mechanism of S-100 standard was analyzed for design of navigation support system based on S-100. From the results, it was designed as loading module of S-10X data, display module of SENC, navigation supporting module. Also, this study considered a next generation ENC, a bathymetric grid data, an electronic nautical publication as an input information.

Atypical thymic carcinoid is an extremely rare tumor with a poor prognosis. In addition to its known association with multiple endocrine neoplasia type 1, its hallmark characteristics include local invasion and early distant metastasis. In this report, we share our experience treating atypical thymic carcinoid in a patient with Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.

This study suggests integration scheme for agricultural governance of South and North Korea after unification by comparing and analyzing their current agricultural governance, assuming drastic changes of economic system in integration process after unification. The North Korea's critical food shortage will force reformation of its agricultural governance to be the top priority in integration process after unification. The agricultural governance of South and North Korea has comparable structures. However, the North Korea's agricultural governance is extremely inefficient because it is established for political purposes. The integration scheme suggested includes expansion of Rural Development Administration, integration of research institutes, establishment of branch of Korea National University of Agriculture and Fisheries, transformation of existing North Korea's organization into South Korea's system and preparation of training programs for North Korea's officials.

The purposes of this study were to examine young women's fashion and their values in South Korea in the 1970s and to explore the dynamics of how the changes in values affected fashion. Fifteen Korean women who were college students in the 1970s were interviewed. With industrialization and acculturation to Western customs in the 1970s, Korean women's fashion reflected the permeation of new ideas and behaviors into the culture. New ideas of 'pursuing a career' or 'gaining professional success' rooted in the women's movement were most important and were reflected in the prevalence of casual and comfortable styles. However, 'having a good husband and being a good wife' was also important. In addition to the transition in gender roles, Korea was fast moving from a collectivist to an individualistic society and underwent the process of melding traditional and newly-adopted values in their acculturation to the West. This study helps us better understand Korea's acculturation process through dress and the dynamics involved between fashion and value changes.

Behcet's disease is a chronic relapsing vasculitis characterized by recurrent aphthous oral and genital ulcers with uveitis. Multiple organs can be involved. Entero-Behcet's disease is often uncontrollable, relapsing, and can cause acute intestinal bleeding, fistula formation, or perforation. Corticosteroids, immunosuppressors, and colchicines are used to treat Entero-Behcet's disease with varying degree of success. Thalidomide may also be feasible. We present a 29-year-old male Entero-Behcet's patient suffering from abdominal pain, diarrhea, and back pain. He did not respond to prior treatments, but responded to thalidomide.

Eight species of the genus Stenus Latreille are documented for the first time in Korea. Among them, three species, Stenus burjaetus Puthz, S. depressus Puthz and S. gibbicollis J. Sahlberg, are recorded for the first time in the Korean peninsula. And five species, S. coronatus coronatus L. Benick, S. decoratus L. Benick, S. koreanus Puthz, S. rugipennis Sharp and S. sharpi Bernhauer and Schubert, are newly recorded in South Korea. The adult photographs, illustrations of aedeagus and male sternite IX of them, and a taxonomic key of Korean Stenus species are presented.
