  • The purpose of this study is to predict the roundness of Numerical Control Machining so that helps the operator to choose the right machining conditions to produce a product within the given error limits. Learning of neural network is Backpropagation theory. From this study, the base was set to setup the database to produce precisely machined product by predicting the rate of error in the fabrication facility which does not have the environment to analyze it.

  • This study was carried out in order to investigate the relationship roundness of fly ashes and fluidity of fly ash cement paste. electrostatic precipitator system in coal-fired power plant have many successive collection fields in the direction of flue gas travel. In experiment, the roundness of fly ashes collected from the same location had similar values regardless of the load or boiler, and they increased going from the 1st collection filed to third collection filed in the direction of gas movement. In considering the relation between roundness of fly ashes and fluidity of fly ash cement paste, it has a high correlation.

  • The dimensions and forms of precise machined parts are different to kinds of machine. It will be variant according to machine wear, tool form, cutting method and cutting condition at the same machine. At that time, the most important things are controlled and measured by appropriate measuring instruments. This paper aims to contribute to improving measurement accuracy through evaluation and consideration about various roundness in the machining company.

Thermal Distortion Analysis by Inconel Over-Lay At Circular Moonpool Structures

  • This study is mainly interested in roundness of a circular moonpool structure in FPSO. Because this structure needs abrasion-resistance on inner wall, we should do buttering widely and deeply by using Inconel. But a general buttering can cause a severe distortion at structures. If someone can analyze the roundness by thermal distortion under Inconel over-lay, an erection policy can be established. In this study, shrinkage methodology by designed stress-strain curve was used and the result allowed deciding an appropriate block size.

  • Due to the development of the CNC machine tool and CAM software, sculptured surface machining can be broadly used in die and mold industries and ball end milling process is often used for the sculptured surface machining. It is found out how feedrate affects the precision of the machining and also tried to study the most suitable feedrate in specific cutting condition. Two eddy current sensors were used far measuring tool deflections of X, Y axis, dynamometer for cutting force and roundness tester for roundness. It was found that the tool deflection is getting better as tool path is going to further from the center of convex surface. The reason is that the cutting force is increased as the tool approaches to the center. Examining the roundness, cutting force and tool deflection characteristics, it was found that the most suitable feedrate is 90mm/min in convex surface and 120mm/min in concave surface.

수치해석을 이용한 플라스틱 풀리 성형품의 최적 성형에 관한 연구 (A study on the optimum molding of plastic pulley using numerical analysis)

  • Plastic pulleys used for the purpose of power transmission have to very high roundness characteristics. The roundness of plastic pulleys is influenced by many factors. In this study, the effect of molding conditions on the roundness of pulleys was analyzed using a numerical analysis program. To improve the roundness, molding conditions that minimize the amount of deformation of the pulley were studied through an experimental design method. Among the experimental design methods, the Taguchi method was used, and the main molding conditions affecting the deformation of the pulley were the resin temperature and the holding pressure. It was found that the amount of deformation is reduced by about 2.86% when molding with the optimum molding conditions compared to when the optimum molding conditions are not applied.

  • The purpose of this study was to observe the resulting canal shape after using hand, sonic and ultrasonic instrumentation. Thirty canals from extracted human upper or lower 1st and 2nd molars were divided into 3 groups: hand, sonic and ultrasonic instrumentation group. 10 canals of each group were individually prepared with one of three instrumentation methods. After instrumentation and histological processing, apical, middle and coronal third cross sections were examined on the roundness of the canal by microscope. The result were as follows. 1. All experimented groups showed no significant difference in canal roundness regardless of size and level of the canal. 2. Sonic air instrumentation groups revealed Significantly better canal roundness than ultrasonic groups at the middle third of the fine canal. 3. In ultrasonic instrumentation groups, the roundness of the large canal was significantly better than that of fine canal.

진원도 계산을 위한 Minimum Zone 알고리즘 연구 (A Study on the Minimum Zone Algorithm for the Calculation of Roundness)

  • Least Squares and Minimum Zone method are known for obtaining a datum or a continuous approximate function of measured data. This study is for a Minimum Zone algorithm for a circle, which is useful to obtain the exact roundness from the reference circle of measured data. The proposed method is compared with the Least Squares Limacon method and Chrystal-Peirce algorithm. A computational algorithm for the Minimum Zone circle is suggested and results in less roundness than the other two methods. This Minimum Zone circle method will be used for other geometrical measured data, such as plane or sphere for obtaining the exact flatness or sphericity.

  • Currently A demand of high precision workpiece is increasing in industry. At present, roundness measuring machine using Air bearing, coordinate measuring machine that are used from measurement station. but these machines will not be able to apply to In-line process. because of like these machine's price are very expensive and measurement time is long. also, the complexity of conventional roundness measurement method based on fourier transform, it makes difficult to development analysis program. This work present new architecture of a Out-diameter measuring system fur analysis of roundness of product. In this system, the influence of table motion errors is minimize by using two LVDT sensor and knife edge contact tip. We are produce a test machine and make an experimenter on Out-diameter of test bearing. The measurement result compared with roundness measuring machine.

眞圓度 測定器의 誤差特性에 대한 解析 -위상차법- (An Analysis of Performance Error of Roundness Measuring Instrument -by phase different method-)

  • A phase different method to evaluate the instrument error of roundness measuring instrument and the form error of specimens for the calibration of the instrument is used. An instrument with a rotary table supported by an air bearing was calibrated by using the standard balls as a standard. The calibration was carried out repeatedly by setting the same ball in 12 phase angles(per 30.deg.) on the table and by recording their roundness errors with a magnification of 100,000 times. As a result of data analysis of all the observations, readout at each of 144 orientations(per 2.5.deg.) from recorded data file, the error of performance of the instrument and the specimens are separated. In the particular instrument used in the present experiment, the error of the instrument was determined with the accuracy of 0.0164 (.mu.m) and the form error of the specimens was determined with the accuracy of 0.0264,0.0172(.mu.m), respectively. If the instrument was calibrated by using the above specimens, then the accuracy of the measurement of roundness error can be improved to about 0.017 (.mu.m).
