마이크로프로세서를 기반으로 한 섬유공정에서의 장력제어 시스템 설계 (Design of Tension Control System in a Textile Process based on Microprocessor)

  • 현재까지 다양한 연속적인 공정시스템은 섬유, 제지 및 인쇄 등 많은 산업응용 분야에서 사용되고 있다. 이러한 응용분야에서 공정처리를 받고 있는 제품에 가해지는 장력은 원료의 공급속도와 생산되는 제품의 방출 속도간의 속도차에 의해 변화될 수 있다 특히, 섬유공정에서 공급속도와 방출 속도간의 속도차나 관성효과에 의해 발생되는 장력변동은 제품의 품질을 저하시킬 수 있다. 따라서 섬유공정에서 이러한 요인들에 의해 발생되는 장력 변동을 적절한 방법에 의해 보상하는 것은 매우 중요한 문제이다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 섬유공정에서 많이 사용되고 있는 환편기 시스템에서의 장력제어 문제를 다루고자 한다. 먼저 일반적인 연속공정의 권취 메커니즘에 대한 장력 관계식을 모델링한다. 다음은 환편기 시스템에서 풀림롤과 감김롤을 효율적으로 구동하기 위하여 풀림롤과 감김롤간의 속도차와 관성특성을 고려한 새로운 장력제어 방법을 제시한다. 다양한 실험을 통하여 제안된 장력제어 방법이 주어진 환편기 시스템의 공정구간에서의 장력제어 성능을 향상시킬 수 있음을 보인다.

Preliminary tests of a damaged ship for CFD validation

  • One of the most critical issues in naval architecture these days is the operational safety. Among many factors to be considered for higher safety level requirements, the hull stability in intact and damaged conditions is the first to ensure for both commercial and military vessels. Unlike the intact stability cases, the assessment of the damaged ship stability is very complicated physical phenomena. Therefore it is widely acknowledged that computational fluid dynamics (CFD) methods are one of most feasible approaches. In order to develop better CFD methods for damaged ship stability assessment, it is essential to perform well-designed model tests and to build a database for CFD validation. In the present study, free roll decay tests in calm water with both intact and damaged ships were performed and six degree-of-freedom (6DOF) motion responses of intact ship in regular waves were measured. Through the free roll decay tests, the effects of the flooding water on the roll decay motion of a ship were investigated. Through the model tests in regular waves, the database that provides 6DOF motion responses of intact ship was established.

멀티 롤 포밍 공정의 품질 안정성에 대한 해석 및 실험적 연구 (Analytical and Experimental Study on the Quality Stability of Multi Roll Forming Process)

  • 품질 향상을 위해 연속적인 소성 변형을 이용한 롤 포밍 공정에 피어싱, 벤딩, 트리밍 등 별도의 가공공정을 통합한 볼 슬라이드 레일의 멀티 롤 포밍 공정의 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 하지만 프레스기의 진동 및 소음은 이 공정에서 생산되는 슬라이드 레일의 품질 저하를 유발한다. 본 연구에서는 롤 포밍 유한요소 프로그램으로 최적 변형률을 고려하여 롤을 설계하였다. 그리고 멀티 공정의 정적 안정성을 예측하기 위해 구조해석 프로그램으로 프레스기에 대한 응력 및 변형량을 계산하였다. 또한 공진영역에서의 장치들의 운전을 회피하기 위해 Modal 해석을 통해 1, 2차 모드에서의 고유진동수를 계산하였다. 그 결과 공정의 동적 안정성 개선을 확인하기 위해 마이크로폰과 가속도계를 이용하여 기존 및 연구 공정들의 소음, 진동의 크기를 비교하였다. 그리고 기존 및 연구 공정으로 생산되어진 레일의 폭 치수와 표면거칠기를 측정하였다. 따라서 해석 및 실험적 연구를 통해 멀티 롤 포밍 공정이 안정하다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

실내 차양장치 결합형 창호의 태양열 취득률 평가에 대한 실험적 연구 (A Experiment Study on Performance Evaluation of Solar Heat Gain Coefficient in Glazing with Shading Devices)

  • The determination of the solar and thermal performance of fenestration is required for the evaluation of fenestration energy performance, estimating building load. Presently, there exist several methods for determining the thermal transmission(U-value) and solar heat gain coefficient (SHGC) of fenestration system. These method are commonly grouped under calculation or experimental methods. While U-value testing and calculation methods have been long established, SHGC has been evaluated only by the method of calculation under the lack of any established testing method. However, it is difficult to assess the exact SHGC for various types of fenestration with sun-shading or other solar control systems. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of interior venetian blind and roll screen on the SHGC of glazing system. SHGC has been evaluated by the KS L 9107 test method and exiting calculation method for precise comparison of the energy performances of various shading devices. In this research, the test sample consists of three different types of double glazing unit with venetian blind and roll screen. Slat angles of venetian blind were changed to $-45^{\circ}$, $0^{\circ}$, and$-45^{\circ}$. For the roll screen, measurements were taken with the roll screen in the closed position. In result, the venetian blind reduced SHGC by 21.2~28.4% at $45^{\circ}$, when compared to the double glazing unit. The roll screen reduced SHGC by 34.4~41.7% at closed. The differences between the measured and calculated SHGC were found to range between 0.001(0.2%) and 0.047(11.1%) for all test cases. For the cases of venetian blind $-45^{\circ}$, $0^{\circ}$ and $45^{\circ}$, the deviation ratio were 3.6~9.8%, 1.1~2.6%, 4.2~11.1%, respectively. For the case of roll screen, the deviation ratio were 4.1~5.7%.

Fabrication of Printed Microfluidics Channel by using Thermal Roll-Imprinting

  • The microfluidics channel were fabricated using thermal roll-imprinting process on plastic substrates. As rollimprinting surface is heated directly at $100^{\circ}C$ and printing process proceed 380/400 kgf pressure, we fabricated microfluidic patterns separated line of $40.04{\mu}m$, serpentine line of $113.89{\mu}m$ and depth of imprint pattern is $15.35{\mu}m$, it means to get fine pattern has more than 70% imprint rate in designed mask.

MEMS for Heterogeneous Integration of Devices and Functionality

  • Future MEMS systems will be composed of larger varieties of devices with very different functionality such as electronics, mechanics, optics and bio-chemistry. Integration technology of heterogeneous devices must be developed. This article first deals with the current development trend of new fabrication technologies; those include self-assembling of parts over a large area, wafer-scale encapsulation by wafer-bonding, nano imprinting, and roll-to-roll printing. In the latter half of the article, the concept towards the heterogeneous integration of devices and functionality into micro/nano systems is described. The key idea is to combine the conventional top-down technologies and the novel bottom-up technologies for building nano systems. A simple example is the carbon nano tube interconnection that is grown in the via-hole of a VLSI chip. In the laboratory level, the position-specific self-assembly of nano parts on a DNA template was demonstrated through hybridization of probe DNA segments attached to the parts. Also, bio molecular motors were incorporated in a micro fluidic system and utilized as a nano actuator for transporting objects in the channel.

Under-actuated 시스템에서의 이미지 서보잉을 위한 깊이 추정 기법 (Depth Estimation for Image-based Visual Servoing of an Under-actuated System)

  • A simple and accurate depth estimation algorithm for an IBVS (Image-Based Visual Servoing) is presented. Specifically, this algorithm is useful for under-actuated systems such as visual-guided quadrotor UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles). Since the image of a marker changes with changing pitch and roll angles of quadrotor, it is difficult to estimate depth. The proposed algorithm compensates a shape of the marker, so that the system acquire more accurate depth information without complicated processes. Also, the roll and pitch channels are decoupled so that the IBVS algorithm can be used in an under-actuated quadrotor system.

함정운동에 의해 발사대 해치에 작용하는 외란에 관한 연구 (Study on the Disturbance Applied to Launcher Hatch by Ship Motions)

  • In this paper, the disturbance applied to launcher hatch by ship motions is introduced to identify the vertical ship motion disturbance. Basically, ship motions are comprised of 6 degrees of freedom: roll, pitch, yaw, heave, surge and sway. In the case of the shipboard launcher hatch the coupled pitch, heave and roll are significant motions to be transformed to a vertical direction motion. The maximum acceleration values are obtained from the vertical motion model and the ship motion data in accordance with ship type and hatch location on the ship. We verify that the maximum pitch motion mainly influences the launcher hatch and also present the quantity of the maximum load disturbance by the ship's motion acceleration.

단순 차량 모델을 이용한 능동 현가장치 제어기 설계 (Design of an Active Suspension Controller with Simple Vehicle Models)

  • This paper presents a method to design a controller for active suspension with 1-DOF decoupled models. Three 1-DOF decoupled models describing vertical, roll and pitch motions are used to design a controller in order to generate a vertical force, roll and pitch moments, respectively. These control inputs are converted into active suspension forces with geometric relationship. To design a controller, a sliding mode control is adopted. Frequency domain analysis and simulation on vehicle simulation software, CarSim$^{(R)}$, show that the proposed method is effective for ride comfort.

  • This paper describes a 3-DOF attitude control of a small model helicopter in hover through explicit decoupling and adaptive control scheme. A model helicopter mounted on gimbal-stand is considered as a system that has 3 independent SISO systems representing motions about roll, pitch and yaw axis and these subsystems are identified from the test flight data. In this consideration, the contribution of others to yaw channel is neglected since it is relatively small. Two PID controllers based on Ziegler-Nichols method are designed for roll pitch channels independently. Also, adaptive fuzzy tuner is designed and applied to those PID controllers to cope with coupling effects between each channel and system uncertainties due to variation of engine RPM.
