Method: The participants were 171 preceptor nurses worked in one of three general hospitals in Seoul. The data were collected from April 12 to May 12, 2011 and analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, pearson correlation, Scheffe, and regression with SPSS Win 19.0 program. Result: The results of the study were as followed. The average score for preceptor nurses' self-leadership was 3.55, for role recognition, 3.81 and for job satisfaction, 3.28. The factors of the preceptors' self-leadership affecting role recognition were self-expectation (${\beta}$=260, p=.002) and goal setting (${\beta}$=199, p=.030), and those factors accounted for 18.9% of explanatory power. The factors of self-leadership influencing job satisfaction were self-expectation (${\beta}$=18.3, p=.021), and rehearsal (${\beta}$=-168, p=.030), and those factors accounted for 31.3% of explanatory power. Among the factors of self-leadership, self-expectation influenced both role recognition and job satisfaction. Conclusions: The results of the study indicate that to improve preceptor's role recognition and job satisfaction, there should be special training programs to enhance preceptor's self leadership.

  • The purposes of this study were to verify the longitudinal mediating effects of work-family balance on the relationship of role recognition in the family, marital intimacy and job satisfaction of married women, and to introduce longitudinal mediating effects by using latent growth curve modeling and autoregressive cross-lagged modeling. The subjects were married women from the third year data of the Korean Longitudinal Survey of Women and Family. Structural equational models were conducted with Amos ver. 21.0. The major findings are as follows. First, the result of the longitudinal mediating effects of latent growth modeling is the rate of change of work-family balance mediated between the rate of change of role recognition in the family and the rate of change of job satisfaction, and the rate of change of work-family balance mediated between the rate of change of marital intimacy and the rate of change of job satisfaction. Second, when using the autoregressive cross-lagged modeling, the more role recognition and marital intimacy of third year were the more work-family balance of fourth year, job satisfaction of fifth year. In both models, work-family balance mediated between role recognition in the family, marital intimacy and job satisfaction. Therefore, through this study, mediating effects of work-family balance can be found that there was a longitudinal effects.

  • The purpose of this study was to see the effects of pitch and length patterns on spoken word recognition. In Experiment 1, a syllable monitoring task was used to see the effects of pitch and length on the pre-lexical level of spoken word recognition. For both Seoul dialect speakers and Daegu dialect speakers, pitch and length did not affect the syllable detection processes. This result implies that there is little effect of pitch and length in pre-lexical processing. In Experiment 2, a lexical decision task was used to see the effect of pitch and length on the lexical access level of spoken word recognition. In this experiment, word frequency (low and high) as well as pitch and length was manipulated. The results showed that pitch and length information did not play an important role for Seoul dialect speakers, but that it did affect lexical decision processing for Daegu dialect speakers. Pitch and length seem to affect lexical access during the word recognition process of Daegu dialect speakers.
