초고속 환경에서 대용량 데이터에 대한 안정적 기록 및 효율적인 데이터 접근의 필요성은 갈수록 높아지고 있다. 이와 관련된 기초과학의 한 분야로 방대한 천체 관측 데이터를 생산하는 VLBI(: Very Long Baseline Interferometer)가 있는데 고분해능, 고감도 관측 연구를 수행하기 위해서는 고성능의 데이터 저장 시스템이 요구된다. 하지만 시장에 출시된 대다수 클라우드 기반 스토리지는 일반 IT, 금융, 행정 서비스 지원을 위한 저용량, 복수 스트림의 비정형 데이터에 최적화되어 있기 때문에 빅 스트림 데이터 기록을 위한 최적의 대안이 될 수 없다. 본 논문에서는 이를 극복하기 위한 방안으로 데이터 입출력 처리에 있어 고성능, 동시성에 최적화된 데이터 저장 시스템을 설계하고자 한다. 이를 위해 멀티 코어 CPU 환경에서 libpcap, pf_ring 등의 API 호출을 통해 패킷 입출력 모듈을 구현하였고 외부로부터 유입되는 데이터를 효율적으로 처리할 수 있도록 소프트웨어 RAID(: Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks) 기반의 확장성 있는 스토리지를 구축하였다.

The fabrication and experimentation of multi-channel electrodes which enable detecting and recording of multi-site neuronal signals have been investigated. A multi-channel electrode array was fabricated by depositing 2000${\AA}$ thick Au layer on the 1000${\AA}$ thick Ti adhesion layer on a glass wafer. The metal paths were patterned by wet etching and passivated by depositing a PECVD silicon nitride insulation layer to prevent signals from intermixing or cross-talking. After placing a thin slice of rat cerebellar granule cell in the culture ring located in central portion of the multi-channel electrode plate, a neuronal signal from an electrode which is in contact with the cerebellar granule cell has been detected. It was found that the electrode impedance ranges 200㏀∼1㏁ and the impedance is not changed by cleaning with nitric acid. Also, the impedance is inversely proportion to the exposed electrode area and the cross-talk is negligible when the electrode spacing is bigger than 600$\mu\textrm{m}$. The amplitude and frequency of the measured action potential were 38㎷ and 2㎑, which are typical values. From the experimental results, the fabricated multi-channel electrode array proved to be suitable for multi-site neuronal signal detection for the analysis of a complicated cell network.

본 논문에서는 X 밴드 주파수에서 단얼 마이크로스트립 선로 급전방식을 갖는 원형 편파 개구면-패치 안테나(aperture-patch antenna) 및 환 구조 안테나(ring antenna)를 설계, 제작하여 특성을 측정하였다. 개구면-패치 안테나는 동작 대역폭이 매우 넓으며, 환 구조 안테나는 크기가 작아서 대형 배열안테나의 기본 복사소자로 적합하다. 이 두 종류의 안테나에 대하여 VSWR 대역폭과 원형편파 축비(axial ratio)를 개선하기 위한 여러 가지 설계 파라미터의 영향을 분석하였다. 개구면과 환 복사소자는 공진기 모델(cavity mode!)에 근거하여 초기 설계를 하였으며. 원형편파를 발생시키기 위한 개구면 내부의 패치와 환 내부의 스터브(stub) 는 Ensemble 소프트웨어를 사용하여 최적화 하였다. 제작된 안테나는 개구면-패치 안테나의 경우 25 %의 V VSWR 대역폭(3dB 기준)과 1.2 dB의 최소 축비를 가지며, 환 구조 안테나에서는 6.7 %의 VSWR 대역폭과 1.6 dB의 최소 축비를 가진다.

This study presents a new, simple method for improving the front-to-back (F/B) ratio of a microstrip patch antenna. The back radiation of the microstrip patch antenna is reduced by removing some metallic parts around the ground plane and placing a new soft-surface configuration, consisting of an array of stand-up split-ring resonators on a bare dielectric substrate near the two ground plane edges. Compared to the F/B ratio of a conventional microstrip patch antenna with a full ground plane of the same size, our proposed microstrip patch antenna experimentally achieves an improved F/B ratio of 9.6 dB.

In the paper, we proposed a ring type structured light image based embedded ranging sensor for a mobile robot. Since the proposed ranging sensor obtains omnidirectional object distance, it is useful for autonomous navigation of a mobile robot. By matching the local omnidirectional distance map with a given global object map, it is possible to get position and heading angle of mobile robot in the global coordinates. Experiments for matching and navigation were carried out to verify the performance of the proposed ranging sensor.

Proposed slotless PM machine is constructed without stator winding slots. Its stator magnetic material is in the form of a ring and winding have a toroidal configuration and its rotor consists of a 4-pole Halbach array or radially magnetized PM rotor. Thus, airgap flux density distribution and induced emf waveform are essentially sinusoidal. Open circuit magnetic fields and developed torque of each type are presented from the analytical method and finite element method.

Fast inspection of solder ball bumps in ball grid array (BGA) is an important issue in the flip chip bonding technology. Particularly, semiconductor industry has required faster and more accurate inspection of micron-size solder bumps in flip chip bonding, as the density of balls increase dramatically. In this paper, we describe an inspection approach of BGA balls by using 5-step ring illumination device and normalized cross-correlation (NCC) method. The images of BGA ball by the illumination device show unique and distinguishable characteristic contours by their 3-D shapes, which are called as "iso-slope contours". Template images of reference ball samples can be produced artificially by the hybrid reflectance model and 3D data of balls. NCC values between test and template samples are very robust and reliable under well-structured condition. The 200 samples on real wafer are tested and show good practical feasibility of the proposed method.

수중 운동체가 가동할 때 돔 앞쪽에 설치된 센서에 유기되는 진동파 소음은 구조를 통해 전달된다. 구조를 통해 전달되는 소음과 진동이 음향 센서의 성능을 저하시키는 요인이 되지 않도록 구조물로 타고 들어오는 진동파를 효과적으로 차단하기 위하여 본 연구에서는 CRP(Carbon Reinforced Plastic)와 SNORE링(Self-NOise REduction Ring)를 설치하고 주파수에 따른 변위와 응력의 변화를 관찰하였다. 곡면 구조물의 재질은 알루미늄이며 최대 외경 530mm, 길이 215mm 정도이다. 곡면 구조물의 전면부는 직경이 270mm이며 평면형상으로 되어 있다. 주파수에 따른 CRP와 SNORE 링 부착 전후에서의 응력 감소율을 시뮬레이션 하였으며 12kHz와 15kHz 주변에서는 95% 이상의 감소율을 보였다. 음향 센서의 부착 위치에 따른 응력의 변화를 계산하였으며 중심부에서 가장 높게 나타났고 20mm, 40mm 떨어진 곳으로 이동할수록 응력의 크기가 낮게 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 음향센서의 감도를 높이는데 기초자료로 활용할 수 있을 것이다.

A new detector array scheme for the positron camera for tile improved image resolution and a method for the resolution improvement of the undersampled projection data from ring positron camera are proposed. Computer simulation results are presented and problems ana limitations are discussed.
