  • Reverse Engineering is a procedure where the results of engineering decisions in manufacturing is feedback to the design phase and the knowledge-base is generated from the process know-how to reduce the errors. Since it used to take lots of time and efforts to finalize the machining of dies out of the original CAD design especially for die spotting and try-outs, reverse engineering is important to improve the productivity and quality of the die manufacturing process. In this regard, we developed system to support reverse engineering in machining of stamping dies for auto-body production. They automatically generate the relevant MC programs for a CMM simply with the input of measuring points in CAD environments, and show the CAD model and the results of inspection simultaneously for the ease of comparison. They also help reduce the overall clearance between the lower and upper dies. Applying these systems to the machining process of stamping dies, we could improve the reliability of measuring and get the optimal compensation distance between the two dies. We also analyzed the expected benefits of the system in terms of savings in time and costs.

  • To yield physically meaningful images through elastic reverse-time migration, the wavefield separation which extracts P- and S-waves from reconstructed vector wavefields by using elastic wave equation is prerequisite. For expanding the application of the elastic reverse-time migration to anisotropic media, not only the anisotropic modelling algorithm but also the anisotropic wavefield separation is essential. The anisotropic wavefield separation which uses pseudo-derivative filters determined according to vertical velocities and anisotropic parameters of elastic media differs from the Helmholtz decomposition which is conventionally used for the isotropic wavefield separation. Since applying these pseudo-derivative filter consumes high computational costs, we have developed the efficient anisotropic wavefield separation algorithm which has capability of parallel computing by using GPUs (Graphic Processing Units). In addition, the highly efficient anisotropic elastic reverse-time migration algorithm using MPI (Message-Passing Interface) and incorporating the developed anisotropic wavefield separation algorithm with GPUs has been developed. To verify the efficiency and the validity of the developed anisotropic elastic reverse-time migration algorithm, a VTI elastic model based on Marmousi-II was built. A synthetic multicomponent seismic data set was created using this VTI elastic model. The computational speed of migration was dramatically enhanced by using GPUs and MPI and the accuracy of image was also improved because of the adoption of the anisotropic wavefield separation.

  • The influence of reversed austenite on the damping capacity in austenitic stainless steel with two phase of martensite and reversed austenite was investigated. The two phases of deformation induced martensite and reversed austenite was obtained by an reverse annealing treatment at $500^{\circ}C{\sim}700^{\circ}C$ for various time after 70% cold rolling. With an increase of the reverse annealing treatment temperature and time, volume fraction of reversed austenite was rapidly increased. With an increase of volume fraction of reveresd austenite, damping capacity was rapidly increased. At same volume of reveresd austenite, damping capacity of reversed austenite obtained by reverse annealing treatment at $700^{\circ}C$ for various time was higher then reveresd austenite obtained by reverse annealing treatment at $500^{\circ}C{\sim}700^{\circ}C$ for 10min. Thus, the damping capacity was affected greatly by reversed austenite obtained by annealing treatment at $700^{\circ}C$ for various time.

  • In this Paper, an attempt is made to establish a learning framework for robust planning and real-time execution control. Necessary definitions and concepts are clearly presented to describe real-time operational control in response to Plan disruptions. A general mathematical framework for disruption recovery is also laid out. Global disruption model is decomposed into suitable number of local disruption models. Execution Pattern is designed to capture local disruptions using decomposed-reverse neural mappings, and to further demonstrate how the decomposed-reverse mappings could be applied for solving disrubtion recovery problems. Two decomposed-reverse neural mappings, N-K-M and M-K-N are employed to produce transportation solutions in react-time. A potential extension is also discussed using the proposed mapping principle and other hybrid heuristics. Experimental results are provided to verify the proposed approach.

  • In the seismic migration, Kirchhoff and reverse time migration are used in general. In the reverse time migration using wave equation, two-way and one-way wave equation are applied. The approach of one-way wave equation uses approximately computed downward continuation extrapolator, it need tess amounts of calculations and core memory in compared to that of two-way wave equation. In this paper, we applied one-way wave equation to pre-stack reverse time migration. In the frequency-space domain, forward propagation of source wavefield and back propagration of measured wavefield were executed by using monochromatic one-way wave equation, and zero-lag cross correlation of two wavefield resulted in the image of subsurface. We had implemented prestack migration on a massively parallel processors (MPP) CRAYT3E, and knew the algorithm studied here is efficiently applied to the prestck migration due to its suitability for parallelization.

  • The hand is a frequently affected area in high voltage electrical burn injury as an input or output sites. Therefore, early debridement and synchronous flap coverage are generally accepted as a primary treatment of several electrical burns complicated by exposure of tendons, neurovascular structures, and bones. So, in order to establish convenient, promising methods for the reconstruction of hand defects in electrical burn patients, we performed various reverse forearm flaps. From March 1997 to February 2000, we reconstructed 12 cases of hand defects in high voltage electrical burn wounds with reverse forearm flaps. Reverse radial fasciocutaneous flap were 3 cases, reverse ulnar fasciocutaneous flap were 3 cases, reverse ulnar fasciocutaneous flap and STSG were 4 cases, reverse ulnar fascial flap and STSG were 2 cases. We successfully reconstructed hand defects in all 12 cases, and obtained following conclusions. 1 Various reverse forearm flaps provide well vascularized, profitable tissues and they require short operative time with relatively easy procedures. 2. Reverse fascial flap and STSG, reverse fasciocutaneous flap and STSG provide thin flaps with good aesthetics and minor donor site morbidity.

  • Korea is expected to become a super-aged society by 2050. Given an aging population and the increasing pressure for the early retirement, a sufficient social safety net for elderly population becomes important. The Korean government introduced public reverse mortgage program in 2007, which is a product for aging seniors and the elderly, The number of reverse mortgage subscribers has also steadily grown. The demand continues to grow, but the reverse mortgage over a long period of time is a highly uncertain and risky product in the position of guarantee or lending institution. Thus, suitable demand prediction of the reverse mortgage subscribers is necessary for stable and sustainable operation. This study uses a Bass diffusion model to forecast the long-term demand for reverse mortgage and provides insight into reverse mortgage by forecasting demand for stability and substantiality of the loan product. We represent the projections of new subscribers on the basis of the data obtained from Korea Housing Finance Corporation. Results show that potential market size of Korean reverse mortgage reaches approximately 760,000-1,160,000 households by 2020. We validate the results by comparing the estimate of the cumulative number of subscribers with that found in literature.

  • In reverse engineering area, it is rapidly developing reconstruction of surfaces from scanning or digitizing data, but geometric models of existing objects unavailable many industries. This paper describes new methodology of reverse engineering area, good strategies and important algorithms in reverse engineering area. Furthermore, proposing reconstruction of surface technique is presented. A method find base geometry and blending surface between them. Each based geometry is divided by triangular patch which are compared their normal vector for face grouping. Each group is categorized analytical surface such as a part of the cylinder, the sphere, the cone, and the plane that mean each based geometry surface. And then, each based geometry surface is implemented infinitive surface. Infinitive average surface's intersections are trimmed boundary representation model reconstruction. This method has several benefits such as the time efficiency and automatic functional modeling system in reverse engineering. Especially, it can be applied 3D scanner and 3D copier.

  • Local minority carrier lifetime control by means of particle irradiation is an useful technology for Production of modern silicon Power devices. Crystal damage due to ion irradiation can be easily localized by choosing appropriate irradiation energy and minority tarrier lifetime can be reduced locally only in the damaged layer. In this work, proton irradiation technology was used for improving the switching characteristics of a un diode. The irradiation was carried out with various energy and dose condition. The device was characterized by current-voltage, capacitance-voltage, and reverse recovery time measurements. Forward voltage drop was increased to 1.1 V at forward current of 5 A, which was $120\%$ of its original device. Reverse leakage current was 64 nA at reverse voltage of 100 V, and reverse breakdown voltage was 670 V which was the same voltage as original device without irradiation. The reverse recovery time of device was reduced to about $20\%$ compared to that of original device without irradiation.

  • Forward osmosis (FO) is an emerging technology which can possibly make the desalination process more cost and energy efficient. One of the major factors impeding its growth is the lack of an appropriate draw solute. The present study deals with the identification of potential draw solutes, and rank them. The comparison was carried out among ten draw solutes on the basis of four main parameters namely; water flux, reverse salt diffusion, flux recovery and cost. Each draw solute was given three 24 hour runs; corresponding to three different concentrations; and their flux and reverse salt diffusion values were calculated. A fresh membrane was used every time except for the fourth time which was the flux recovery experiment conducted for the lowest concentration and the change of flux and reverse salt diffusion values from the initial run was noted. The organic solutes inspected were urea and tartaric acid which showed appreciable values in other parameters viz. reverse salt diffusion, flux recovery and cost although they generated a lower flux. They ranked 5th and 8th respectively. All the experimented draw solutes were ranked based on their values corresponding to each of the four main parameters chosen for comparison and Ammonium sulfate was found to be the best draw solute.
